Lid is missing. Everything inside is good for now. Sorry, I didn't have anything with me to replace the lid.
Out and about with pprass and &0thers on our travels. Now heading southwards we stopped to check this one out. Head car was surprised by a dead cow so moving a little onwards we walked for the cache. The flies were in control. This is the first time on our travels that we have come across them so bad. Out come the netted hats. Nice find. Left a burp that works. Thanks for the cache happy to leave here
Found at 1:01 PM GAFF5 in the company of xambo4u and &others.
We were going to stop here for the night, but when we got out there was a stench of something dead - and it was big. Then about 1,000 flies descended upon us so we quickly found the cache and moved on. Ended up at the South Branch rest stop where there were only 950 flies at anyone time
Thanks Team Red Roo.

I was almost going to archive this cache but it seems the container was replaced on the same day as the maintenance request (perhaps later). I am expecting to do a full maintenance run later this year and will check on the cache then.
NOTE: The cache does not have a lid, needs attendance to make good. Spiders are also living in the cache!
On a lovely cool day, and while camped on the river nearby, we ventured out to get this one. The GPS found it alright, akthough the iPhone ap was playing silly buggers.
And we note that it had been found earlier today by some cyclists we met back at Karijini.

As we are staying nearby, and have spare gear with us, we replaced the cache container. It had been looking quite unwell.... Now a plastic container the same size as the original.
What a beautiful spot this is for a break from driving. First stayed here 9 years ago and targeted it again for this visit. The river has changed dramatically with the banks near the road badly scoured out by flood waters. Could not camp in our old spot but found another delightful site. I replaced the cache container which was lidless. Thanks for adding to our journey.
#2129 - Found by M on a sunny day. All part of the fun and challenges on our AroundOz bicycle tour via the highest peak in each State and mainland Territory.

Spiders are also living in the cache! Had breakfast here on the picnic table which survived the flood damage.

I'm unable to attend to this in the near future so if anyone is coming this way I'd appreciate if you could replace the container for me - thanks.
Found it. The kids asked if I could when passing. Took a pic signed the book and left it as was.
I was pleased to find that it wasn't on the bridge. What a lovely pool in the river. Thanks Team Red Rose.
No one else around, we had the place to ourselves and enjoyed a welcome break from driving. Cache needs a lid. Perhaps next cacher could bring a new screw top fruit container. We dropped in a TB. TFTC

On a three week road trip north, through the Pilbra, Karijini then over to Exmouth. Caching along the way to help see some sights and have some breaks. Had great weather all trip apart from the last week once we hit the coast. Never the less, had a great trip.

The bit of rubber protecting the cache is rapidly degrading - and as a consequence, my hands got incredibly dirty when trying to get at, and replace, the log. Even after all the recent rain, it was as dry as a bone.

This place was crowded so we parked up the top and Mr M made a dash through the bush for the cache. It was laying out in the open with the top of the container missing but now it is safely protected by a piece of car inner tube against the base of a tree. It should weather the expected rainfall but will need TLC asap. TNLN TFTC

Great spot for a break. Just followed the foot prints most of the way. The area could tell quite a story. TFTC site.
Heading north towards Karajini NP on day four of our trip we stopped by this cache... Well, we actually overshot the turn then ended up reversing the caravan down the track I took a bit of a walk to see if the track could get us closer & a lady camper came to check if we were ok...
After chatting for a while we turned the caravan around and headed in along the creek for a look-see! The lady probably thought we were crazy heading into the bush, rather than to look at the creek DangerMouse09 quickly found the cache and was very proud of his effort...
TFTC Team Red Roo... What a great spot to camp, but not today... We still have a few more miles to do today Took Jaspa GC to further its travels...

“1CADFAY”, (1 cache a day for a year).
Once we reached Meekatharra we pulled into the Shell roadhouse to fill up with fuel, we had to go around to the side bowsers and pulled up next to a huge triple road train. When we had filled our tanks I went to the teller to pay and Charlie tagged along. There were a group of bikies at the roadhouse who were all filling up with fuel and buying their lunches, there was a group of them milling around the back of a truck which was their groups support vehicle, we walked past a group of bikes, one of the bikes had an unusual personalized number plate called “OVERS” and I looked at it wondering what it meant. While we were waiting in line, Charlie found some hotwheel cars and was asking to buy one, I refused and paid for the fuel and we left. When we got almost back to the car one of the bikies called out to me, he said he had heard Charlie asking for a toy car and said that he had bought one for him and asked if it would be ok if he gave it to him, of course I was quite surprised and said “thankyou, that would be fine and that Charlie would love that”, and asked if he would like to give it to Charlie personally. He went around to Charlies door and presented him with a nice new car, Charlie was thrilled. The bikie’s name was Overs.
With a full tank of fuel we headed out of the very busy truckstop back onto the main street where we found a local park to stop at as Jacki was talking on the phone to Nigel who had rung while we were paying for the fuel. Nigel was now in Monkey Mia and waiting for the Leeuwin Ship to come and pick him up. He was wondering if we were coming by that way and if we would be coming to see him before he went off on his trip, unfortunately no, even though we were on the same latitude we were very far away, lol.
We need to get some groceries so I went off with Chloe to the local supermarket while Jacki and Charlie stayed with the car. There were some groups of locals who were hanging around and this was making Jacki nervous, they did not bother me too much but when we got back to them in the car they were very nervous, I would have liked to find the few caches in this town but we decided to head off again. We drove to a place called Karalundi, which was a church run school for indigenous children. They had a café and caravan park here and we had a bit of a look around the café and shop and then went back to the van for some lunch. We decided to keep going but did find a cache here, “Karalundi, GC3470K”, a nice quick find by Mark.
On the road we stopped at the Gascoyne River Middle Branch bridge where we found another cache, “Middle Branch R&R, GCKQ8T”, after we parked at the south side parking area we had a fairly long walk down along the old causeway and up the other side to find the cache, it was a nice walk down into the riverbed and the weather was just beautiful. We soon found the cache, signed the log while the others were being attacked by flies, I had worn my caching hat with the fly net down, LOL.
We once again continued on eventually coming to a roadhouse at Kumarina. We had travelled 382ks today, I was getting quite tired and it was now 3.30pm so we decided to stop here for the night. This is quite an old and run down roadhouse but has lots of character, the amenities are a bit rough and ready but do the job well enough. The location has a quiet and great, safe feel about it and I quite liked it apart from its short comings, and at $20 for the night it was a total bargain. After we were set up we had a bit of a look around then went back to have some dinner before it got too dark. The stars are very bright out here away from major civilization.

A nice spot and one I can finally tick off as it has been on the list for some time (years). Well worth the wait.
TFTH - what a walk! Thought it might had been in a cow paddy! Water in river was lively & lovely for a change.
I work just down the road at Plutonic Gold Mine, and decided to pop up and grab the cache whilst I was out and about. Great little rest/camping spot, though pity about the toilet paper strewn throughout the place - still can't work out why people can't take a lighter with them and burn the paper after the deed!
Cache is still tucked away and in good nick. Reading that it previously had been washed away, it would be a sight to see the river during the summer rains!

Found this cache at 2:30pm while traveling the west for a few weeks. Now heading from Newman to Meekatharra , further south then to Kalgoolie and back home across the Nulabor to the East coast. After coming across the Gary Junction Rd, Canning Stock Route and the Tallawanna track.
The cache and log bag has perished But the log is in good order. Someone has covered it with a tyre tube and placed some good sticks over it.SO IF THE NEXT CACHER COULD TAKE A CONTAINER IN AND SWAP THINGS OVER THAT WOULD BE GOOD. It is also about hip height in the fork of a tree. Up out of the water height. Left: a small basketball.
Thanks Wayne and Kathryn - Team Red Roo for taking us on that little detour and shown us a fabulous spot to camp.

Camped near this cache over night, Beautiful spot, The cache had popped open and the contents were on the floor, So I cleaned them up and put it back where it was wedged, I wondered if the heat had caused the lid to come off, or the cows had muggled it!
An easy find at a nice little stopover locality. The waterhole was brimming with bird life and plenty of small fish. Thanks for alerting us to this spot and thanks for the cache.
A nice place to stop and camp for a night along the banks of the river, with abundant bird life; but gee whiz, that water is hard. Found the cache quite easy with good co-ordinates, however I re-hid it in the same place, just three feet off the ground to avoid another 'washaway'. TNLN TFTC
pood has very kindly replaced the container so I'll be requesting that this cache is unarchived.
Found at 6.00pm
On our way to the Kimberley and we decided to stay the night here.
We found the "new" container.
Plenty of other travellers staying the night.
The flood damage is rather extensive, having removed the topsoil down to bedrock in places

A big thankyou to Team Red Roo for putting the original cache at this spot. It was a great stop over and so good we ended up camping here for 2 nights. We looked for the cache, unable to find it, we had fun making up a new container with a few 'goodies' in it, with a notebook, and put it at the same co-ords, then a quick email to Team RR to see if that was ok to leave there, coz we hadnt't realized it had gone off line. Thanks again and for other travellers, it is a great spot.
It looks like this one is gone and I won't be in the area for some time so I won't be replacing it. Thanks to everyone who stopped for a break and looked for the cache.
This is an ideal spot for a cache, but it is prone to flooding (twice now) unfortunately.

EsromL and I had a very thorough search for this one without any luck. Like the previous DNF in March, I think this cache may have unfortunately been washed away in a flood. We did find a rather muddy pen about 10 metres from GZ, but no other signs. Needs replacement or archiving. Thanks anyway Team Red Roo for bringing us into this area.
We were unable to locate this one we think because there has been floods there and debri ans sand had been washed up against all the trees, the actual river looked a mess trees down everywhere. We will be interested to see if any one finds it or is it just one more to add to the DNF

A great spot. Set up camp and then walked to the cache. Loved the camoflage. Left a klem bear and took nothing. Scared a bull who was going to chase us and then decided not to thank goodness. Slept out under the stars, a great night.

Found it! with the help of our two Jacks who enjoyed the walk after being in the Jeep for so many hours. I camped overnight here on my way to Tom Price to pick Ian up so that we could start our holidays in the Pilbara. What a great cool spot in the middle of nothingness. We have all seen shots of the Gascoyne River in flood after a cyclone and it was great to see the upper reaches of this mighty stream.
We brought a couple of visiting TB's from England and Germany but they couldn't stand the isolation so we moved them on

WanderingAus wandered by on day three of a "climatic refugee" trip, heading North for the winter, and stopped at the Gascoyne River Middle Branch Campground to check up on this cache. Two years ago, after reading the logs for the cache, I bought a container in Meekatharra to replace the damaged one, but when I got there someone else had replaced it, so I only needed to replace the log book. That was my 113th find after 10 weeks of geocaching. Four months and 240 finds later I met Wayne of Team Red Roo as I was walking away from claiming the FTF on GC17F19 Camp Wungong [Munda Biddi] by nad069.
Two years later and having claimed over 1400 finds I'm finally getting the hang of this game, and I was happy to replace the container which once again was badly damaged. The top of the two year old cliplock container had completely disintegrated, but luckily the contents were un-damaged.
The new container is a drab painted 1.2 Kg screw top fruit container. It needs to be carefully covered with the available branches to protect it from the sun.
Dropped "Jatibarang, Indonesia" Unite for Diabetes TB (ref = TB1BFJ7), also dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.
