All gone.....

17-Aug-08
Again the wet soursobs deterred us from a thorough search.
Thanks anyway Junior ParrotHead for the cache.
I note it has now been archived.

12-Jul-08
Went and had a look today but we couldnt find it either.
With the gate being locked now we are going to archive this one

05-Jul-08
It was a day of frustrations - found GZ with a pen and blue marble in the dirt but no cache.

16-Feb-08
Had a good look for this one but the long grass on a very hot day had us a little bit nervous so we decided to leave it for another day.

24-Dec-07
Maybe we needed 8 sets of eyes and one set couldn't find it. The gate was locked so Mr S crawled through a gap. No luck today.

12-Dec-07
Mad dash through the gate/fence and didn't take too long to find the cache. I think this was the first cache in the evening where we started to use out lights in earnest. Cheers Gav [1573]

12-Dec-07
Finally getting around to logging the record breaker Red Face Thanks!

12-Dec-07
Kiwi Cache Raid: #176 @ 20:48. It would have looked funny to outsiders to see eight guys all scambling over the fence then all over the bank looking for this one. Just as well there were no muggles to be seen. Many thanks SA_ParrotHead.,,,,,,,,,

12-Dec-07
8:48 p.m. This cache was found on our record-breaking attempt to find the most caches in a 24 hours period; we ended up finding 195 all up.

Thanks to all the cachers who placed these interesting caches in Adelaide.

I only wish we could have spent more time appreciating the locations that we visited on our whistle stop tour.

Think we got lucky here, but eight setys of eyes certainly helps.

Had to get this one out of the way before getting to 1k - the brat boys tried it in our very early days and got sprung by gr8cherokee just about standing on top of the cache, and yep, you guessed it, they didn't find it (that time) - TFTC Big Grin

30-Oct-07
A great walk before tea...I did have KFC by the way!!;)
Took Afl cards
Left Magic Cards.
Lovely place for a country boy to be now he lives down here in the big smoke.
Thanks Jr Parrot
Keep up the good work.

16-Jul-07
Is it worth a mention that the gate is very securely locked, chained and bolted? Poor mum had a bit of difficulty getting through the fence. And then we both had some trouble with the damp overgrown weeds. Took us a while but we found it. TFTC

16-Jul-07
Found this one a bit tricky. Nearly got stuck in the fence and then slid down the hill. TFTC

13-Jul-07
Ever seen a geokid land bottom first in a creek with your GPSr. I have now, pity the camera had no batteries!!! Will return one day with Spare, DRY clothes!!! Lucky the gpsr is waterproof, dried it off immediately!

17-Jun-07
Find # 43 without a GPS at 11.30am
Took the easy and safest way over the locked gate and down the "Dodgie" steps
Took nothing
Left a selection of 2007 AFL cards from (potato chips)
Thanks Junior Parrothead

14-Jun-07
Parked on the North side, crossed over bridge and then found an unlocked gate (having noted previous logs). After trudging a little way along the bank through tall grass, I thought, "forget this", climbed over the nearby fence, then walked the nice path to the locked gate. Jumped that gate and then a quick find down in the gully.
On the return the locked gate provided the perfect foot scrapper to remove the mud.
Down in the gully was so peaceful and tranquil. Cool
Definately a daytime cache.
Left a mint stamp and took a patch.
TFTC Junior ParrotHead

Cheers

A quick vault over the locked gate and I was in Smile
In to a different world from the suburbia surrounding this area Big Grin
TFTC

Been here once before but decided not to scale the fence/gate. This time came from the other side and got to GZ quickly and slippery. TFTC

19-May-07
Jumped the locked gate (shh - don't tell anyone) and scrambled down the wet slopes. SNP came up with the goods soon after.

Thanks for the cache.

Headed out through the dodgy streets filled with burnout marks on the roads. Not many people around. I guess as it was late in the day they were probably out hocking stuff to Cash Converters from stuff they flogged from their neighbours earlier in the day. I wouldn't want to be on these streets at night.

Great spot in the middle of suburbia. Found after a short search. TNLN. Cheers from Featherwaite.

13-Apr-07
Found on Friday the 13th. Parked on the wrong side of the creek, so took some dodgy stairs to the bottom and walked along the creek for a bit to reach the cache. Dusk was falling, and I was keen to find, log and get back before it was too dark but as luck would have it, a family of muggles came casually walking down the creek as I was logging the find. Ugh. At least I had plenty of warning, so I climbed out of the creek with the cache and waited till they passed. Still enough light left to get back safely.

Took: snowman
Left: AFL card (highly collectable Smile

Another find for The Rebel Alliance. L.L.T.R.A

28-Feb-07
Ninety-fifth of 128 finds on "The Big Adelaide Assault" in company with acts2youthgroup and HawMorFords. We initially didn't see the gate, so we went through the fence. HMF left some DNA behind on the barbed wire. We exited through the fence also. I'm really glad we did this one in daylight. As DISK said, the stairs are not in pristine condition, and you could come a cropper, if you were not careful. We found the cache at 1633. We grabbed the Guido TB, but otherwise, I made no exchange. Thanks to Junior ParrotHead for the cache. Cheers, dak.

28-Feb-07
Ninety-five of one hundred and twenty-eight cache finds on the "The Big Adelaide Assault" the cache was found at 16:33 in company with dak's Emu Mob and HawMorFords. Pete came to grieve as we went over the fence instead of using the gate, he should have flown over after all red bull gives you wings.

Thanks SA_ParrotHead for the cache.

28-Feb-07
16:33 - Find #95 of 128 on our Big Day's Caching in the company of dak's Emu Mob and acts2youthgroup.

Agggghhhhh - More blood spilt for the cause! I snagged my leg on the fence on the way in and felt like a dill as there was actually a gate only a few metres away - hate that! There is even a photo of THAT Gate on the web page!

Oh well. We then shot down the hill and grabbed the cache and liberated the Guido TB.

Thanks to (Junior) SA_ParrotHead for the cache.

24-Feb-07
The gate was locked, but like everyone else, we jumped over.
Didn't take long to see why!
BE VERY CAREFULL IF WALKING DOWN THE STAIRS -
they have fallen apart, leaving 4 inch spikes sticking out and it is very slippery.
Once at the bottom, an easy find and well worth the effort.
Took tin tazo's.
Left Guido Travel Bug.

Thanks Junior Parrothead!

Very cool cache, well hidden with all sorts of interesting goodies. Think the terrain stars should be increased, almost ended up in creek (proper shoes would have helped). Enjoyed, cheers!!

03-Dec-05
Enjoyed a Saturday afternoon loop walk (thanks to the two bridges close by). It's all very overgrown, but there are steps going down. Thanks Parrothead for showing us the Cobblers Creek area. We did another two caches close by afterwards.

03-Oct-05
No slipping or sliding for us today as we eagerly marched down the steps, geckolings aware of the theme of the cache! We took the pokemon bag, pokemon ring and treasure planet man. We left a Robots card game, yu-gi-oh collectable sticker and 2 collectable "z-cardz" thingies. Some muggles watched suspiciously as we headed off, but with 3 young geckolings it is not too suspicious. They were gone when we reappeared. Thanks junior parrothead! Well done and very good job on the log book BTW. GGG

28-Apr-05
Found @ 13.00 our intial approach to this cache had us on the wrong side of a very steep bank (small cliff would be a better description!). After a short consultation with the street directory we found a better & much closer approach. By the this stage the kids where driving us insane almost left mine here. Took Hot wheels car Left Shrek stamp.

28-Apr-05
After an abortive attempt on the cache that left us on the wrong side of the 'tracks' we piled backin the car and made another assault - yes after looking at the street directory.

I chose not to venture down the 'cliff face' but stood wisely at the top and asked for the cache to be brought up to me. Dutifully, the cache arrived. Ooh, the power!

We made no swaps and sent the cache back to the depths from whence it came.

05-Apr-05
Got to use the traction in the new Hiking shoes for something going down the hill the direct way. I found the steps to get back out. Collected TB.
