Couldnt find this one under the rock face, maybe if I fly higher I may strike gold. This sadness soo turned as I jumped into the pristine waters. Although I didnt find it, it was a great experience. Thanks!
Think I found the spot but unfortunately wasnt able to see anything? Maybe my GPS was off or I wasnt adventurous enough in where I stuck my hand hahaTFTC anyways!
OCW phlphotos and Team Merlin on a mission to grab at least 4 of these coastal caches. We finally came up with a day that we could all make the journey. After a rendezvous at the Wattamolla carpark we covered about 20km as we made our way up and down the Coastal Track. The perfect recipe to burn off those excess Christmas kilos.
After the adventure of crawling through a tight cave in the dark, it was a pleasant surprise to walk up to this cache (after a little bush bash) and see it at the base of it's little cave. All was good with the contents.
A lovely location, with some muggle families having fun in the pool by the sea. The waterfall was flowing freely after recent rain. Have a FP too. TFTC

With holidays during Christmas New Year decided to see who was available on what days. Today we met up with teamMerlin and Brewmaker at Wattamolla to get 4 caches on the coast track.
This was the second one we went for with a walk down to the south after finding On the Wings of Eagle we headed up to the pool & the waterfall there were a lot of people swimming not taking any notice of us. So we headed towards GZ where Brewmaker & teamMerlin got there before me
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache SWAGgers
The following TBs visited for the distance - Hawkesbury Tiger, 2011- 2021 NSW geocoins, Area 51 Tag, Cache In Trash Out Geocoin, Cache In Trash Out Tag, CITO Micro Geocoin, dirty Black Juke, Four Elements Geocoin, Mary Hyde's compass, Optical Illusion Geocoin, Spindoc Bob Memorial Geocoin, Trackable Building Brick, Wales Flag, Wheel of Caching Geocoin

With a few days off organised a walk on the Coastal Track in order to pick up four caches in the Royal National Park. Meet up with Brewmaker and phlphotos this morning at the Wattamolla Beach carpark and proceeded to walk to down to Eagle Rock first and collected On The Wings of an Eagle, then headed back north to this cache. Nice easy search and retrieve. With the cache in hand we signed the log then replaced as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache SWAGgers.
The following TBs came through for the mileage : Vanlith The Youngling, Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), teamMerlin's Football, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, Merlin's Steed, GEOCACHING WITH JORDYS GREEN LOGO

Words cannot describe how much I adored and loved this walk and this cache! Such picturesque scenery on the way, and this hidden gem of a pool secretly tucked away off the beaten path! So glad this cache was actually still here!
Whenever I’ve pictured “paradise” since I was a kid, it’s been this exact kind of spot Thank you so very very much SWAGgers for showing me my new favourite location in Sydney possibly the world!! TFTC!
Attached is a picture of the cache (not in hiding spot) so people know what they’re looking for, if they want to know

Had a Saturday to myself so thought it would be a great chance to come do some of the hikes out here at the national park! I’ve had a lot of great adventures out here but it’s been a while since I ventured out here. Had an amazing time walking here from the Wattamolla carpark, this spot was absolutely magical!! Thank you for bringing me here, much appreciated TFTC
Went for an easy walk from Wattamolla beach along the coast track. Walked straight past the turn off. Doubled back once I realised and walked up to the waterfall before a small bush bash to the GZ. Awesome spot, will definitely be heading back!
Look this was one of the best caches I have done in a long time and it is up there with the best. One of the reasons I geocache is to be shown new spots. I did the royal track just over New Years and because of the humidity rain and people I skipped these caches in the middle. Totally ignored this area and would not have realised it was here unless there was a cache. A stunning bit of bushland, a scrumptious waterfall and the sandy waterhole at the bottom of the falls. Wow. Too cold for a quick skinny dip though. I will come back another time and the little camping area. Hopefully it doesn’t get burnt by the pyros that come to the area at this time of year. Great cache. A favourite for sure. Tftc
Couldnt find a safe way from the waterfall to get to the cache. Will come back to see if there is an alternative route.
Hint head left before the pool and waterfalls don't go over and around them like I did. Got a tree branch to the eye finding the cache. It's not to hard to find when following the GPS device instead of guessing which way to go. Tftc
Heading north on the coastal walk with PPE and Team Canary. As this was a detour it was time to drop the packs and make the couple of hundred meters detour to GZ. A nice looking water fall as we crossed over and up GZ. A quick look and there it was. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Found it!! Soo good thankyou did not realise this little spot existed made our day! Meg & josh
It was a nice day for caching, a not too hot day with a cool ocean breeze. Me and the missus approached from wattamolla and upon first try at gz there were a few muggles, so we decided to move on down the track to eagle rock, and have another go at this one on the way back. To my delight, we had the place to ourselves so we began our search. It took about 10 minutes to turn up the cache, tftc
First cache on a walk down to Eagle Rock.
OSM showed there was a track here but took a while to spot it from the coastal track. Walked a bit through the bush and eventually reached the pool. Nice hidden away spot. Waterfall was in full flow which was great.
Thanks SWAGgers - will give a favourite point

A lovely day in Royal National Park on my husbands birthday. The cache was near a lovely spot. Absolutely worth it to go there. The cache was easy to find. Did not have reception to log the cache at the time. TFTC
Out for a hike in RNP on my birthday. We checked out the pool and also found this cache. Lovely place. A fav from me. Thanx
25.11.18 Found late on a sunny afternoon. Beautiful, quiet little pool and waterfall. TFTC in a great location.
Erin1405 and I did a round trip from Alice Springs down South along the coast and ended up in Sydney. We had a marvellous time on this amazing continent viewing a lot of new and beautiful impressions. Of course we searched and found some caches, just like this one. Thanks a lot and many greetings from Germany.
I found this cache together with B.F.Pierce during our wonderful vacation in Australia. We drove four weeks with a camper van through this amazing country from Alice Springs to Sydney. We enjoyed the great people, wildlife and countryside so much. Thank you for the great cache! Best regards from Germany!
Awesome spot been here before, pretty easy to find, involved some very minimal bush bashing
Thanks for bringing us here. It was a great spot to have lunch and hope to come back here in the warmer months for a swim.
What a top spot! We walked down from Wattamolla, had lunch by the beach and then made our way to GZ. Took a bit of burnt bush bashing but, as previously reported, the container is shiny and dry. And so is the bush. Nothing is running into or out of the pool. We thought about how lovely it would be with the creek and waterfall running. Hope the forecast for next week and some rain comes. T the dog tag TB LN SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Visited it today, despite the fire damage in the area the container has survived it without a scratch or burn. Remarkable!
A cool little rock pool not far off thw track. Found a newish cache in an obvious area
Found this cache today - this lucky little cache is untouched by the fires that ripped through here in January, though everything around it was burned. A caching miracle! I'll attach a photo taken looking slightly to the left of the cache (so not too give it's location away, but to show the extent of the fire damage- really amazing that the cache was not destroyed. The burned out bushland also meant that it was easy to approach the cache from the swimming hole. I imagine it would be a very difficult cache to access when the bush grows back.
1TB in.
Ps. Please keep this place secret! It's bloody beautiful, and could so easily be overrun with people if word gets out

After the fires through the RNP this one is most likely gone. In February\/March I will have a look for it.
Family day out for coastal walking. After visiting the Eagle Rock, on the way back to have a quick searching. Thanks for replacing the cache. It is a nice pool and water fall. Have to bend down to retrieve the cache. TFTC.
Cache container has been replaced. Thanks Team MavEtju for attending to this in my absence, it is such a lovely spot.
Early in March I spotted this one as a target for the forgotten years challenge, however the recent logs on it didn't make me happy. I brought it up with others in the Sutherland Shire Geocaching facebook group and was offered by a previous finder to come with me, confirm its absence and replace it with the permission of SWAGgers. Well today was the day!
Together with wazza9 who provided a replacement container and contents we went on our adventure. As usual, it's a beautiful walk through the shrubs and forests which you see here. The views, the horizon, the trees, most serene. At GZ I searched for the container and after wazza9 didn't find it neither we placed our replacement. TFTC, absolutely worth the walk!

I will get to this and replace ASAP. Hope you can still enjoy the spot even though the cache has been vandalised.
Looks like this one is gone. We looked around at gz and even managed to find a perfect hiding spot, but alas only a half empty water bottle was in it.
Had a thorough search, but I'm pretty sure its no longer here.It would such a shame for this to be archived, so can the next person please bring through a small container and log?
Looked with 'sesblocker' for around 10 minutes and gave up. We were on our way back from Eagle Rock and decided not to waste too much time looking. What a great place for a swim in summer. Thanks for bringing us here.
Looked for ages, but no joy even trying with the alternative coordinates posted by raindoctor
Well that was interesting!
We parked at Wattamolla beach and made our way to the cache. I saw a small track that I thought would lead us to the cache but decided not to follow it. After following the coast walk a little further realised my mistake and back tracked. The track led us to a beautiful pool and from there we hunted for the cache for thirty minutes without luck - we did see the aforementioned bees though. I decided maybe my GPS was playing up so we went on to Eagle Rock and then on our return we made a second attempt.
After again not finding the cache we got talking to a gentleman who was at the pools and talked about geocaching and the area. He mentioned he thought he'd seen something odd just near the pools - it was the cache! Too funny!
Given everyone else said this was an easy find not sure what was going on. In any case, the coordinates we found the cache at was S34 08.692 E151 06.421 - about 20 metres from where my GPSr was leading us.
Thanks for the cache and bringing us here - what a top spot!

Second cache found while walking the Coast Track from Bundeena to Otford with the family. We walked the full 18km this day so had to make sure we didn't spend too long searching for caches. Geokids and I knew we had a time limit so the pressure was on! What a beautiful spot this is! We have walked past here before but not known what what was hiding off the main track. Cache was in full view so we covered it up.

Spontaneous walk with forkie and was well worth it. The waterfall flowing if only it was summer and we would of taken a dip. Well worth the trek. Said 1km from the carpark, was definitely more then a 1km trek. TFTC
Our first cache, what a beautiful spot. I've walked up and down the coast track and never taken the time to stop here. Lovely!
Really cool spot, and quite a different environment to the one along the main track. I'll have to return here in the Summer. Found the cache quite easily after traversing the somewhat slippery slope. TFTC!
As the sun was slowly setting we found the energy to keep walking and go for this one which turned out to be a great decision! Nice little spot down here, I'd been keen to return in summer. TFTC!
After a couple of full on bushbashes, headed down to the coast track to fill in a couple of blanks on the map. Wow, what a fantastic spot this is. Unfortunately there was a large group at the pool so I didn't hang around, thankfully was able to locate and log the cache out of their sight.
Will be back here with swimmers and a towel!

When MMH&M suggested this cache just 1km away, they didn't have to ask me twice! Of course 1km as the crow flies is a lot shorter than the walk required to reach this one, over rocky (in some parts) ground - embarrassingly my knees are not what they used to be and I did need some assistance and did stack it at one point! We randomly guessed the correct turn off and were soon at the waterhole (amazing) and then the final "climb" to the cache, which was soon in our grasp. I must admit I did take a head start on the way back and am pleased to announce I remained upright the whole way back. Amazing location, giving a favourite - this is what caching is all about!
We took a short detour from The Coastal Track and were soon at the lovely waterhole. While wazza9 enjoyed morning tea my youngest and I had a short climb for an easy find.

4th find on our Otford to Bundeena hike with Tambo Sea Scouts. Such a great location off the main track. Thanks for the cache.
A great walk from Wattamolla, stunning ocean views. The pool itself was wonderful after the rain from the past weeks.
Thanks for showing us this very location.
Exchanged some swag and took the TB.

On a return walk from Eagle Rock to Wattamolla with 4 others, I went on ahead to find this treasure.
Certainly a hidden paradise below, when it gets warmer!
The container was spotted easily, and I collected the trackables, while leaving a few of my own. I also left a pathtag.

TFTC SWAGgers,
What a great day to get out after a week of rain. Now where to go?????
There are those caches along the Coast Walk that I haven't found. It took but a few moments for nana nel to agree to doing a couple of short walks from Wattamolla.
First we went north and collected GC15CE2 and then this cache. It's about 30 years since I visited this pool. When we arrived at the pool there were people enjoying the sun. We went on to GZ and signed the log. Took a TB and left another. Visited a group of trackables learning about this wonderful part of the Historic Royal National Park. A Favorite from me.

Found today on a walk in the National Park, a lovely area, people were enjoying the rock by the pool, drinking red wine and reading. Walked to GZ recovered cache, signed log and left a Grampian's teaspoon from my collection. TFTC
Great late afternoon walk with the kids. Great spot that you wouldn't know existed otherwise. Left Andrew Jackson TB and took Gamma Gal TB. TFTC
Alas, we managed to miss finding this one. Went 'off-piste' as it were, got to within 50m of cache and had to turn back. Attempted the conventional route, but must have taken the wrong path as ended up only 30m away and realised it was the other side of the water! By this time we really had to get going, but we had lots of fun messing around looking and it's a lovely spot to visit. Will have to return and take the right path next time! Thanks
Absolutely stunning find on a very long walking day with Naty Perry. Ended up walking 20kms for just two caches, and over rocks and various different watery or muddy obstacles. Got back after dark, running into a bat or two right there on the trail.
Almost missed this one, as the trail towards the end is a bit off to the side, but with the sun setting, we were still determined to make it happen, and boy was it worth it.
There were massive eels swimming in the pool, and a stunning waterfall. Just so beautiful, it easily gets a favourite and would be a great spot for a revisit and a swim one day. Sore legs and joints after the walk though, a very long one to get from the beginning to here.
Thanks for the cache!

Fantastic spot for a cache! Easy find, then we had a paddle. Too cold to swim today, but we will come back for a swim in the summer! TFTC.
Great cache, great location and a massive hike for the geo kids. Went to get in for a dip with the boys and while I was waiting for them an Eel has a little nibble on my toe so that ended the swim. Initially we took a couple of wrong turns once on the track near the cliff and then again at the creek only because I didn't see the track through the shrubs. Dropped off 'Gamma Gal' MC6BBB trackable, no-one has been at this cache for some time so I'll keep an eye on her if she doesn't move in a month I'll go back and put her somewhere perhaps more accessible. Found during my stay in NSW. First week we were at Sydney, since I went there to attend a conference. We did quite a lot of walking around this astonishing town. Most of the caches were just small mint boxes or nanos, but that is to be expected in such a big city. I'm especially thankful for all the bigger caches that were easier to find, since my time for the geocaching was somewhat limited.
After the first week we rented a car and went to explore the NSW national parks. Since the Blue Mountains were closed due to bush fires (hope all is well now), we went a 1000km to see Mungo park. We saw a lot of kangaroos, emus, wombats and some koalas in the wild. On our way back to Sydney we visited Canberra and some beautiful parks north of it. We enjoyed the drive-in view that allowed us to see more beauty in shorter time. We spent last day in Royal National Park where we fooled around at a beach and in the waves. We did a short walk on a cost track, which showed as how beautiful the ocean and the coast really are.
Unfortunately, we had to head back to our country ;-( I hope we get to visit NSW again some day.
Thanks for every cache there.

My field note says something about bees but as that was 12 months ago I have no idea what it means. Thanks for the cache SWAGgers
Hiked the Coastal Trail from Bundeena to Garie beach yesterday and came by this cache. What a lovely scenery I thought, when I came to the pool. Then I crossed the creek and approached the cache. But what was that in the hole under a big tree root? Are those bees? The GPS suggests to pass them. Shall I really? AUTSCH! Before I had finished considering I received my first sting in the neck. Immediately I put appropriate countermeasures in place. Sun protection dropped in my priority list and I used my hat to defend against the airborne attacks. Waving the hat vigorously I ran back to the pool. I briefly considered jumpin' into that for rescue, but the expensive camera equipment I was carrying did not allow that option.
Fortunately the bees stopped their attacks once I crossed the creek, and I went away with receiving only that single stitch.
Just posting this log to make my fellow geocachers aware. Maybe the hiding spot deserves reconsideration.
Anyway, thanks for showing the beautiful place and for the little adventure!

Gorgeous place hidden from the crowd! A track along the creek through rain forest was fantastic! It took us much longer than needed to get to there as we noticed a creek crossing and tried to push through jungles of palm trees straight to GZ... We retrieved to the main trail and reached GZ in minutes. After searching around and climbing for another 5 minutes we spotted the container uncovered. Thanks a lot for the hide!
An excellent walk there and back, to an idyllic spot that we wouldn't have gone to if not for geo-caching. Thanks.
Wonderful place and a classic cache. Thanks for bringing me here. Found with Vardwombat. Slightly damp but ok. SL TNLN TFTC. Favourite point for location.
What a lovely spot there had been rain the day before so the waterfall was looking good. Tftc
Found it thanks, pool would be amazing if the water was flowing. Not so appealing today.
Re visited this lovely swimming hole on a beautiful sunny spring day & decided to also re visit the cache, unfortunately the cache has a leak & everything was damp, the new log book was readable but the old one definateley needs to be dried out. Cache container is not surviving the test of time, I will try & do some maintenance on my next visit now that I know what is needed to bring the cache back to its "former glory".
Found on a long walk from garie beach to wattamolla beach and back again. On the way out a family of muggles laid claim to the spot, and despite sitting round the corner to eat lunch, trying to wait them out, they went no where. So returned on the way back, and found the cache nice and quickly. A nice spot. TFTC x
Beautiful spot! Making plans to revsisit this place in the summer for a swim. Special mention out there to the geokids who came along and were awesome. Good times, windy and freezing walk at times, but always worth it! Fresh sea air with the rml.
Bundeena/RNP raid #1 of 6.
Found with the spitfire ds on a windy winter day. sometimes i wish i was a crow.. but then we may have missed the mud, stepping stones and meeting other walkers.
kids did well, although a wet sock can be a trial
beautiful place, will come back for a dip in the summer months!

My third visit to the area, a beautifull rock pool ideal for cooling off on a summers day. With the assistance of Pipes Down Under and some scrambling around the cache was located. TFTF
Only managed one Royal National Park cache today but I guess you've got to start somewhere!
Loaded up the child carrier and off we went from Wattamolla. Didn't seem like it should be far but it took a little while with many false leads. Curracarang I've always thought was a great spot, and it was again today.
We followed the track up the northern bank and nearing GZ at the pool there were a tribe of people having a swim. After doing the caching duties (there is a large bees nest not too far from the cache) we watched them jumping in.
Then it was time for a splash down in the creek and then fall asleep on the way back! TFTC!
Loaded up the child carrier and off we went from Wattamolla. Didn't seem like it should be far but it took a little while with many false leads. Curracarang I've always thought was a great spot, and it was again today.

Jumped Wattamolla then thouroughly enjoyed this pristine location. Took two trackables. TFTC
A nice walk and then an easy find! Also spotted some large lizards guarding the cache! TFTC!
