Yes we checked the GA cache years and years ago, no it only seems like that, 6 months? - and it points **Here**...still!
The comment history is not a great place to describe your cache in any case and certainly a simple cache description on GA just cut and paste "please retrieve the details here:
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=e75102a1-a281-4156-ab23-fdd34f5e7e19
but log your find on GA??" would be sensible if it is an active listing. It just looks confusing with NO description on GA and a link pointing to an archived cache on GC.

Edit: Aparently you CAN log your find on GA here http://geocaching.com.au/cache/gckzqt contrary to the instructions on that website:

Just how many places can you log a cache??????????????????????
Maybe if GC got there act together and not allow logged finds on an ARCHIVED CACHE things would make sense.

This cache is still available, well hidden and durable.
I only discovered its archived status after returning home, and I dropped off a geocoin!

Coin drop

01-Mar-08
well that's pretty poor show archiving a cache without retrieving the goods! I'll adopt this one temporarily and retrieve for proper archive.

01-Mar-08
it was archived years and years ago and moved to GCA...check the comment history you bunch of weirdos. Razz

Found the coords as an archived listing on the GC.com website, but quite confused because it was on GCA... Left Triabunna this morning, so found this on my way NW. Found cache but didn't find mossy boot. Logged and took puzzle geocoin to continue on its way.

14-Nov-06
however it's still showing up on GA as being listed here.
Oh I see the link is recursive to this archived cache so doesn't work - needs rewriting/listing on GA site altogether then probably.

For purely personal reasons I am archiving this cache and moving it to be listed on Geocaching Australia The cache is still available but no longer on this site.

I thought I had already logged this but maybe I'm wrong (wouldn't be the first time?) New co-ords spot on. Found the cache in record time but took longer to find the boot. Had Talking Taco Dog TB with me didn't put him in. Took spinning top, left wuppy.
Thanks Aloysius TeamSwampy(-AR)

Changed the co-ords on this one to the ones kindly provided by team tiges....wonderful how that worked...hopefully this puts people closer to the cache Smile Dont Forget that its NOT OVER THE FENCE...

26-Mar-05
Found by Team Tiges on their way down the east coast. This is a lovely area, we've driven through here a million times and never stopped to look at the lake. The water was low which left heaps of dead trees poking up out of the very calm water. It was eerie!

Anyways, we concur with previous cachers, the coords for this are out by some distance. However we were able to press two buttons on our GPS and log some better ones.... we have thumbs.... kewl huh? :p

We found the boot... it's got some sort of "boot creep". It's still on the same side of the road, but a little further along!

Anyways.... took - candle, left - top.

11-Mar-05
Found at 1.20pm.
Like others I jumped the fence and was looking in all the wrong places.
I then spotted a likely spot near the road and found cache shortly thereafter.
Didn't spot the boot though.
TNLN.
Went on to have a look at the nearby leake, a lovely area.
Thanks

Was just about to open gate until lambchops screams out it's not over the fence, The boot everyone saw must have been found by the previous owner coz it wasn't there.
I did find cache I wrote in Co-ords because I found 90% of caches in Tassie were a bit out, or maybe my GPS were locked onto sats in Adelaide and not tassie. Twisted
and it was raining

Thanks Aloysius7 for this cache

Yep, agree the co-ords were out. Was having a quick look on the other side of the fence thinking 'surely not' when my travelling companion yells out "Hey, check out this old boot with moss growing on it" followed not 2 seconds later by "Is this what you're looking for?"

No swaps today, but another notch in the belt.

Another first year anniversary cache. Went and looked at the lake and also phoned home for Christmas before searching for the cache.

Just as other logs had noted we found the coordinates to be about 16 metres out but luckily we had read the logs eh?

Took nothing but left bangles and caribiner.

Last cache on the way home on the Devils Day Out weekend. Remember that you do not need to go onto private property.

Took bouncy ball
Left Yowie toy

Thanks Aloysius

'OK, we're about 200 metres from GZ, so maybe we should park. . .over there behind MALBENA!!!'

Found on the way home from the Devils' Day Out; had to 'paws' near the cachemobiles until Malbena had signed the log and re-hidden the cache. Said our good-byes (again), saw the boot, found the cache. We had the cache 16m from GZ but still not difficult to find. We continued on to the local feature for lunch. We had thought before this place needed a cache - if only because the place name is so 'odd'!

Drat..... beaten to the FTF on this by The Duracell bunnies (energizers), who were also on their way to Devils Day Out

Lovely spot, although the co-ords are a little curious????

I forgot to write down the swaps, maybe someone who comes thru later can pm me my log entry!!!

Ta Team A, pity you couldn't make it to the event

That was kind of confusing.I mean, the GPS took us into private property. We guessed that it wasn't there. We went out and dad found the boot with moss growing out of it so we knew we were close.Great cache and thanks!

20-Nov-04
Found by Team CraigRat on our way to Devils Day out.

A nice easy find, pity we were running behind schedule, I would have liked to go further up the road... maybe next time.

Thanks Team A.

Found on the way to 'Devils' Day Out' at 9.00am. We were hoping to be FTF, but it was not to be! Two teams had already found the cache before us. The co-ords appear to be around 15 metres out? On private property? Knew that couldn't be right, so was on the way back to the car, to check that we had put the co-ords correctly into GPS'r. Found cache on the way back to car!

It's a great little stop and breaks up the trip nicely along 'that' boring road!! Thanks Aloysius.
We enjoyed this one!
