The last two cachers, have not found this 'fairly easy' cache, so it's time for us to archive 'Garden Isle of Clarence' .... until we can check it out, and see if it's still there!
didnot find this one found the remains of a sistma continer but no cache can the co please check to see if its still there. it was a great spot to find a cache thanks for bringing me herewaterwells

A reasonably quick find, should have had my fishing gear with me. TNLN. TFTC.
Certainly are lots of rocks. Good thing the cache is so big or it could take sometime to find this one. Must be 1 litter container
Caching with the Triumph Twins - Between 2 rocks Ha Ha!! Lucky we had 4 sets of eyes looking. TNLN TFTC
This one looked a bit daunting at first but we soon had the cache in hand. SL TNLN TFTC
Getting the cache at the other end of Garden Island and as we were so close would be a waste not to get this one. Cache took a small amount of hunting out but was found in the end. I got distracted by the large ship heading out of the mouth at the time. TNLN thanks for the cache
What a great cache full of goodies. This is another top location for a hide. TNLN. TFTC
Ok 1 down only ????? to go. Found on the second try as GPSr led me to the exact spot! I sat for a while and listened to the black cockatoos feeding in the pine tree above me for a lovely finish to the day. TNLN. TFTC!
Turned up about 310am had a good hunt, but there were just way too many rocks to hunt through. Cheers Gav
Found close to sunset, Lots of fisher muggles about but not near here, after a bit of poking about it soon turned up. TFTC
Our hunt for this cache was initially frustrated by a very chatty fishering muggle who was lamenting the presence of seals and cormorants scaring fish away. Finally he went and we were able to search. After a short time we located the cache. TFTC
We headed out towards gz and with two cars in the distance we were hoping that they wouldn't spoil the search, fortunately once we arrived they were still along distance away and couldn't be seen from the general area. We started our search where the GPSr said one meter and slowly started expanding from there. It took a few minutes before we found it's hiding place and we were surprised at the size of the cache, for some reason we were expecting something quite a bit smaller.
Thanks waterwells for the cache and for also solving the puzzle of what was being harvested in the nearby tanks
Thanks waterwells for the cache and for also solving the puzzle of what was being harvested in the nearby tanks
Found fairly quickly thank goodness as the bloke in his deck chair sunning himself outside his camper van must have wondered what we were doing. Took fly & left soldier. TFTC
After success with the Garden cache at the other end of the island, we continued to this one. But we were not so lucky, this time. We didn't bring the clue. Fatal mistake. We searched for some time without success. It was a looong cold and windy walk back to the car.
The Cheesypigs last tried for this cache in 2006 without success. much better story today. TNLN thaks for the cache.
After splashing through many water-filled potholes we arrived close to GZ. The coordinates were very close, and the cache was located without too much trouble.

Spent some time turning rocks by the dozen, hating to put hands down holes, trying to be discreet with tourists around.Almost gave up. Watched the Tamar tide turning, what a current, very scary. TFTC
Great coords in a spot that looks like it would be great for fishing.
Cache in perfect nic
Thanks Waterwells

Thank god the GPS was fairly accurate as there was 100's of hidey holes amongst these rocks.
A short search and cache was in hand, reasonably well hidden from fisherpersons in area. TNLN Thanks
Bit of tricky one, took a bit to find

Found this one easily on a windy day (is it ever not windy here) in the company of Zali0312 on a caching trip on this side of the Tamar. This stretch of land is directly across from our home town.

Found by Roma and Max.
We really enjoyed finding our way in to GZ here.
Although we never like searching for containers in rocks your co-ordinates were spot on and we made a relatively easy find.
We left our mark in the log and made no exchange.
Thank you Waterwells for bringing us here.

[^] I made my Dad take a detour for this one on our way out to tea for Fathers Day. An interesting find and I got it quiet quickly [:d]
Loved doing this one, we have also done a similar style in South Australia. Tom Tom was going nuts and did not like being in the middle of the water, glad discover aus new what it was doing.

Found by Mary & David at 1040. We both loved this one - past the abalone farm, the views and the peace were great. The water was really rushing by as the tide ran out, and we lingered a little to enjoy the scene. Our thanks again to Waterwells.
First thoughts we "Oh No" when I saw all those rocks.
Shouldnt have worried as the published Coords were spot on.
Many thanks.

Good hide, had to hunt for a little while. found river currents interesting to look at. good views. thanks.
What a great spot! Loved the drive to the point. Thought this would be a bit trickier to access but able to drive right up to GZ - almost! Luckily the GPS took me straight to Om and found the magic box right there! Just as well, too, as it was blowing a gale and the rain only let up just sufficiently to log the find!
Took a plastic shark (geograndchild in tow thought it was the one to grab!) and left $2 note. Also took TB that had been lingering for some time.
Thanks Waterwells for another very well placed cache.

I was pleasntly surprised at how easy it was to get out here - I had thought that it would be harder for some reason. Once at gz a search of likely spots had the cache within a few minutes. After signing the log I had a look around and read the interesting plaque about the history of the area. thanks Waterwells for putting one here.
5th find for the day on the west tamar, bit windy on the isle today, few muggles about on the chanel side but they were more interested in fishing than us, first time i have been here since the abalone farm was built, left diabetes TB, thanks waterwells.
Even though I was in right spot, still took 10 minutes or so...well hidden..sooooo many hiding places.Cache in good order.

Found the required spot, after a bit of searching, once we saw it, it was obvious. I can see my old house from here.
Left Calling card and geo coin.

Found at about 11pm with 3 helpers and all of a sudden, only one light source!!!!!!!!! Drat, my bettery supply has been gobbled up. Nevertheless, we battled on and using the famous "where would I hide it" formula, found within a few mins.

PS: Over this weekend I am getting this sneeking suspicion that I am crossing pathes with a fellow GC'er, possibly from SA????

Heading back from the event in convoy with the Tiges Team this one popped up on my radar. A quick jaunt down a gravel road had us at the cache and had me searching in vain as Team Tiges' the Boss laughed merrily at my antics as she had already located cache. Got it in end though.
Cheers...3rd WW cache for the weekend and all were rippers

About time we logged this one online! Found this on the back from birthday bash - thanks Waterwells for a great time! There are of course two ways to a cache; the sensible way and religiously following the arrow - guess which one we took!
#3 on Day 3 of the 5th Birthday Bash Event weekend.
Only one fisherman around this morning and out of sight! First find in 280-odd days!
Found in about 3 minutes. Replaced container with 2l Sistema - old container cracked and leaking.
TN L bouncing putty
Thanks Waterwells

... and one for the road!
Nabbed this one on the way back from the Fifth Birthday bash. Just as the cachemonkey was heading back to the car to check the cache notes to see exactly what we were looking for, The Boss came up with the goods!
A good cache as always, and in an area that was completely new to us! Thanks Waterwells.
TNLN (yup, I went back to the car and left the swaps behind).

Area was completely deserted, so easy to rummage around amongst the rocks.

I didn't even know this was here. Thank goodness for a decent map collection, or I think this may have been trickier.
Cache was a bit out in the open, made sure it was hidden, but not too well.
Enjoyed this little diversion and this would be a good spot to just sit here in the shade and ponder the world.
Thanks Waterwells!
Took etch a sketch drawing toy thingy, left scratchy and TB HS Taz. HS Taz won't be homesick here, the views are just magnificent over the Tamar River.

This certainly is a fishing haven, no rods on us so we found the cache, admired the view and moved on.

Thanks Waterwells, another new discovery for us.

A popular spot for fishermuggles this one. They weren't any problem to the Energizer's though, I swear kids could do cartwheels over an icy pond dressed as a clown, & no-one would take any notice, everyone would think it was normal.
this spot gives a great perspective view of the Tamar, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
took stamp, left stress ball.
thanks again waterwells, another top caching experience.

Round and round we go. The good old GPS was all over the place. At one stage it was trying to tell me 20m west. Scratched the head and thought no I don't think so. (those who haven't been will find out when you get there)
Quick call to WW and it was suggested I look between the rocks. That helped alot - not.
So just when the SC index was rising (SC - swear & curse) I found it surprise surprise between the rocks.
Chalk up another find thanks
And thanks WW's

The main problem we found when we got here was someone camped pretty much on Ground Zero . However he disappeared with his dog into the caravan so I casually wandered about trying to look inconspicuous as I rummaged . Don't know how well that worked but we didn't get disturbed and once I worked out I was sitting on the cache all went a lot quicker .
TNLN as the geocaching cupboard at Chez Bastvet is bare at present.
Thanks Waterwells for another interesting spot.

This one surprised us somewhat as it was so close to one of our camping spots on our previous trip - interesting area that is sort of like a maze. Thanks for taking us out there!
Found at 1330.
A lot easier that we thought it would be. We saw the island and weren't sure how we were going to get out to it until the way presented itself.
Took dead turkey, left Winnie the poo.
Thanks again Waterwells.

Had great fun on this one, Beat the experienced cachers "The Animals" to the site with a bit more local knowlege. Searched for ages all 20 of us and finally located it right where we originally looked. A very well hidden cache. Thanks for the fun.
Found with the rest of the family in tow on their first geocaching experience. Local knowledge got them to the cache quicker than an un-aided GPS. Had a great time, will post photo of the team (20 people) later. Took Stickers, Left Pencils.
Note container is still leaking a little.
Thanks for a great cache

Third time lucky with a bit of help from Mr Waterwells. Mind you he even had trouble finding it at first and he hid the cache! Took nothing and left nothing. Well hidden cache, WELL DONE WATERWELLS!
Waterwells: couldn't find cache spent about 1 1/2 hours looking over two visits. Is it still there?
Found after about 5 minutes searching, co-ordinates were about 3 metres out I guess, so not too much trouble. Would never have come out here if it wasn't for the cache, so I was a happy cacher - always nice to goto new places and see new things!
TNLN - oh except the bear, I dumped him here because he was a very rude bear, wouldn't talk to me, didn't even introduce himself! So I have no idea what his name is even - he had to go

Thanks for the helpful hint Waterwells! Nice spot, found a dead fish as well. Took Kane Bear the TB and left nothing. On the way to "the Beach is Green" Kane sang Happy Birthday to me. How he knew it's my birthday in two weeks I do not know.
Team CraigRat's 50th cache find ended up being in the middle of the river!
An interesting spot, we got to see a large ship go by, very close to the Car!
Broke the lid when replacing it in its spot, but I've hopefully sealed it with some of the ever usefullRacing Tape.
I'll be more gentle next time
To mark this historic occasion, I have left a Rubber Chicken and a Wind Chime, AndyRat took the pens!
