Nice easy find after a stroll along the beach to collect shells for my daughter who does shell art down in Adelaide TFTC
Out and about today exploring the area with Grannan55 and Geodogs. What an amazing place. Thank you so much for placing this cache here for me to find. Words fail me. All good here, apart from the green ants. TNLN TFTC
Staying at the Blue Water Scout Park for a function. Drove here for a nice beach walk. After a nice stroll along the beach found the geocache in good condition and signed the log sheet. Beautiful weather this afternoon at this location full stop thank you for placing this geocache here for our enjoyment.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
In Townsville for a long weekend with alphag_25, after picking up the Rest Area cache, this was a nice stroll along the beach to collect this older cache.
Nice walk up the beach from our camp last night to grab this older cache. One step closer to 10 of the oldest in Townsville. Tftc
After a fantastic trip to Cape York with Geoturtle37, Papi4506 and The Drovers we are now catching up on our logging. We parted company with Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 are now traveling south with The Drovers hoping to pick up as many caches along the way as time allows. This really was a great location but the weather was not that good with a very strong wind blowing, this may have been in our favour as it meant we nearly had the entire beach to ourselves so searching was easy and as it turned out quick as we spotted the container as we approached. After adding our acronym to the log book we re hid things a little better. To save room in the log we are signing TDTC The Drovers and Team Crackers. Many thanks Dave32 for showing us this great beach and for the nice hide.
We are looking to do the ten oldest caches in Townsville... Had a great walk along the beach . Signed piece of paper log and replaced cache as found
Staying a couple nights at this gorgeous location, and went for a stroll to check out the other end of the beach, and collect a smiley. I’ve replaced the container with one I had on me happens to be exactly the same type, hope it fares better, added a new log and disposed of the old content that were completely unreadable/mushed together. Happy caching also found a trackable and added another!
A pleasant walk out under cloud cover with a ocean breeze made for an enjoyable caching experience. I walked out direct then back along the beach with muddy looking churned up waves breaking along the shore about an hour till the low tide. The beach just seems to keep doing off into the distance as I walk back and it would probably be nice just to keep walking in the light rain that has just started, but I’ve reached my go back to the car point. Thanks for the golden oldie. Removed a fish and chip paper that had been placed under the same hide cover in the interest of CiTO
love family friendly caches!! Thanks for providing a find that the kids can get in on and enjoy.
Heading north today from Townsville to Crystal Creek, we decided to come and visit Saunders beach along the way. Although it was still morning, the sun was hot and the water looked so inviting.
The beach was empty and so we had a very quiet walk to GZ where we signed the log and looked back across to magnetic island and North Townsville.
Thanks Dave32 for maintaining this golden oldie.

Day 14 of a 3 week holiday driving from Canberra to Townsville and back to attend the Mega. The morning started with doing more of the Ross River Power Trail by bike/scooter with Albida33. I then headed for the Jezzine Barracks area, followed by some more caches at Pallarenda. I finished the day with a bit of driving to find this and another Golden Oldies cache. Cache easily found after a short stroll. Nice views here. TFTC.

Great to find another old cache. Soon I will qualify for the Townsville challenge.

MEGA Trip - day 5
Assembled the full MEGATRON crew (bella at waggy, dahumbug, tardis0061, crash2079) but today there was no specific plan other than to grab some more old school chaches and a trip up Mt Louisa.
So why not start the day with an oldie. We took the inland approach to GZ and return trip via the beach.

Found with the MEGATRONS consisting of dahumbug, bella at waggy, crash and tardis...log to follow.
The lap around here was very...very...very long.
Looked short on the map, thats for sure.
Sorry, I will endeavour to regress and write a decent log on most caches.
Thank you, Thank you.
I made it. 18 days on my bicycle cycling over 1850km.
Now to catch up with friends and find a few caches.
I nice short hike to it and
a quick find.
Thanks for the adventures and cache.

Arrived at Saunders Beach on dusk after a long day caching around Townsville. As we were staying at Bushland Beach, it was a tad further along the coast to collect this oldie. Glad we made the effort to collect. Would have been a quicker trip home if I didn't miss the Bushland Beach turn-off. Thanks Dave32 for keeping this oldie from the morgue.
As part of the CacheQLD committee I am here working, caching, catching up with friends and generally having a fab time. Some awesome puzzles up this way and some tricky and adventurous hides! Awesome experience! A lovely sunset walk to finish the day. Thanking for keeping this oldie alive.
A quick drive to grab this cache needed for one of my grids.
After a short walk, I found the cache tucked away.
Quickly signed and headed back to town.

Day seven and Friday of the big Townsville trip for Fangsoki, Crew 153, 1MinnieMoo, Pprime and myself. Today will involve a lot of driving for the 'North Loop' up to Ingham, Wallaman and Paluma. But, plenty of old geocaches and some hikes so it's a good day if tiring!
I can probably count the number of geocaches I have found pre-dawn or at sunrise on my digits. But with so many kilometres to travel today, we had a very early start from Townsville. This older geocache was first up. Off the highway and down the road into the tiny town. It was barely light when we parked at the end of the rod, next to an access to the beach.
Promised a seabreeze, it was noticeably still at this hour. Quiet, too. A torch or two was employed and we headed off. Fisherman's leavings littered the start of the walk, but no matter - soon on the completely deserted and feeling-rather-remote beach.
Walking along the beach was just wonderful. Super peaceful, and with golden colours beginning on the horizon over Magnetic Island. Definitely worth the early rolling out of bed for. Abeam the geocache in the dunes, we left the water and headed to a likely hide. It was a quick find - hanging out here 17.5 years so far!
Logbook signed and replaced as found at 06:00 before the walk back to the car and setting sights a lot farther up the highway. Thanks for this geocache, Dave32

The Trudge2TVL mob (Fangsoki, 1MinnieMoo, Captain Terror, Crew 153 and myself) go north! 4am start (again) this morning, and first stop today was out here. An awesome pre-dawn trundle along the beach and a nice quick find to get the geo-muscles working. I love that this has been here 18 years waiting for me. Great spot and what an awesome feeling on the beach today.
Thanks Dave32 for entertaining me at this location.

A 9 day roadtrip to Townsville and back to Brisbane in the Fangsoki Pajero with the usual cast of cachers.
Today was to be a long day of caching with us going North to Ingham and then in a loop out to Wallaman Fall, Mt Fox and Paluma so we had an early start which meant that we arrived to hunt for this one before dawn. I turned on the phone light to navigate out to the beach and then it was a pleasant stroll along the beach for a quick find.

Boy! Saunders Beach sure has gone ahead since we last visited. That was back in the 80s when we regularly visited friends who lived here. We shouldn’t be too surprised I s’pose.
Enjoyed the beach walk this morning. Found your cache no problem. All good here.
Thank you.

After dropping the caravan at Bluewater Park, we took a drive out to hunt down this oldie. Parking at the end of Cay St, we took the path that led in the general direction of GZ. This turned out to be a mistake, as we ended up having to squelch through mud and scramble through mangroves once we got close. After finding the cache, we decided to take the much easier route back to the car via the beach. A lovely warm day and a lovely beach but we had it all to ourselves. TFTC Dave32
Found as I made my way up to the Townsville Mega from Adelaide.
I camped last night near Charters Towers, then finished doing the caches around the town that were of interest to me this morning before heading east.
I called in at a number of the beaches north of Townsville to check out possible camping sites for the evening and took the opportunity to wander along the beach to find this cache.
It had been another warm and humid day, but fortunately the only caches requiring any sort of strenuous walk were completed this morning before it got too unpleasant.
All of the caches, including this one were found without difficulty and were in good condition.
Thanks Dave32 for the cache.

A hot day out in Townsville for Fangsoki and I today, and after a rather sweaty morning hike we decided to grab some easier caches for the rest of the day.
The exception to this was that there were particular older caches I wanted that Fangsoki already had, so if it was a short walk to them, then I would go grab them.
This one was one of those. A nice ocean walk with a lovely sea breeze was good therapy today, and it didn’t take long for me to plod my way to GZ and sign the log.
The last find of the day. Thanks for the cache Dave32.

Wanted to go for a drive and ended up here. I’m not meant to be walking on sand and especially wearing Birks but …. If I’m here: I might as well get a Golden Oldie. Nice walk along the mangrove line, spotted some cone shells not sure if these are the dangerous ones (photo attached). Might be worth mentioning to any kiddos not to pick up shells along here just in case. Cache found and signed. All good there. Returned and CITO on the way out. Picked as much rubbish as I could hold. Maybe worth a CITO out here one day. Thanks for this cache Dave.
This was our first ever find. Husband and I enjoyed it very much. Kids loved getting wet and sandy while we looked. I forgot to bring a pen so didn't get to sign the log. We look forward to finding many more!
Day seven of my road trip and day five in Townsville. After spending the night at this lovely little beach area of Saunders Beach it was time to grab the old cache in the area. A nice morning walk on the beach and it was found very easily. Thanks for placing this one here and maintaining this old cache, all good with the cache and with log signed and cache replaced as found I was off to caches further afield.
Had a good night camping and had a stroll and found cache. Lots of prickles at gz. Take thongs. Tfc.
A very short trip to town so not much caching. After work we found our selves in the area abs soon spotted the hide . We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Lovely walking along the beach, accidently went bush walking to get to the cache but decided the beach back.
Thanks for the cache - Ryan and Regan

Day 17 of our road trip from the Gold Coast with hatzofff, grannysmith1947 and RoddyC. Of all the years I had lived up north I never did get to visit Saunders Beach so today after all this time, I am finally here.
Beautiful walk along the beach to get to GZ and so pleased this old cache is still active.

Seabreeze was up in Saunders today. Intteresting little suburb, never been out this way before. Quick stroll up the beach and back with a quick find. Thanks Dave32.

[Apologies for the late log - catching up on a handful of finds I've stored since arriving in town 3 months ago]
Had to come out this way to buy some 2nd hand furniture (seems like all the decent stuff in TSV is on the opposite side of town to me) - but it gave me a great chance to discover Saunders Beach. I can see why people love it out here. Took a long walk along the beach to GZ, and the cache was uncovered in good time. Thanks for the hide Dave32

Some of the things that wash up along the banks of the Ankh do cause comment. We get the normal things like bed steads and hessian sacks full of unmentionables. This is the first time I have seen a wizards staff. Oh gods!
We enjoyed a nice stroll along the beach, marvelling at the size of the driftwood. When it came time to head across the dunes, I unfortunately found all the bites in the grass. Thanks for the cache
My first find! Was walking the dogs on this beautiful day and managed a find. TFTC!
After spending the night on the free camp ground we set off for a stroll along the beach. So beautiful, we really enjoyed the wolk on the golden sand, the cool water touching our toes and the breeze. Found the cache on the ground and our pen wasn't in our special caching bag, signed with the dog tag from a trackable, hope it's readable.

Beautiful beach stroll with the son. We're locals out here and definitely don't do this enough!
Don't be like us and be silly enough to leave thongs at beach entrance! A few Bindi's mainly around cache area nothing dramatic tho.
Log is wet, turned clip bag inside out, hoping it dries.

Log is wet, I turned clip bag inside out (dry) and placed log in and wrapped with rubber band. (Hoping it might dry out a little better then being wet all time.

Late at night, spots of rain, found sighs oflife and an easy cache to find. Put back and made more snuggly. This place surely hasn’t changed much since 2004
I have to admit - I had no other motivation to visit this cache.. other than its ancient age.
There are not many 2004 caches around anymore - so I was happy to hone in on this one.
I parked up and donned a shirt on my head - as I had no sun protection - and it was quite warm (40C the car reported at one stage)
I started down the track to the beach and turned toward the cache. I noticed an old mate about 200m behind me on the beach. I strutted my stuff and made my way to GZ... up and onto the dune. I started my hunt.
On my first pass, I didn't notice the cache. I checked other areas. Nada. I was about to go back to my original area when I saw Old Mate having a sticky beak. Sooo... I just sticky beaked right back at him with a "are you right there fella?" look.
He soon got the hint and made off leaving me in peace. I soon found the prize well-hidden. I signed the log and re-hid the cache as found.
The trip back was uneventful.. if hot. A great little place to visit. Happy to see this cache going for so long. TFTC Dave32

Stayed the night at the free RV camp.
Nice walk along the beach at dusk, managed to find it. showing a group of local and International plus a bunch of my own new tB's for a Tour of Australia.
