Did we ever find out if the ranger is sending the bugs on?? Mine is still listed as being in there!!!

27-Oct-06
On my recent visit to this cache, I found that this cache has been removed by the Park Ranger. People were creating unwanted new tracks in the National Park to find it and treading on and killing many native plants.

27-Oct-06
Oh well, what a shame. Guess that's the end of this one then.

I wonder if the ranger will be good enough to send on the travels bugs?

Awsome spot. I have never been here before and this one will be one i will keep in mind and come back to do the circuit walk in the future. TNLN

Really struggled to find this one because of bad sat lock and a multitude of potential hiding spots.

Eventual success came from searching along a small path rather than following the GPS which thought we should have been up to 30m away.

TN, left 2 TBs, SL.

We loved this area. Went there without knowing too much about what was there and what we saw exceeded our expectations. A really beautiful area. Found the cache without too much problem. Left survival supplies and took nothing. Had a bbq lunch at the nearby shelter. Thanks guys for showing us this wonderful area.

A pleasant drive & views. GPS wasn't much help however placement was sensible & located as walking out. Muggles close by were oblivious to our presence. Had a mate with me who is very impressed with this hobby & has a GPS on his wish list for next birthday.

The mapping program had wasted us a lot of time down a dead end road so we had to backtrack almost all the way we came then I used the force to get us to the right area, the force failed me at the cache site and I had given up when dumb luck kicked in and I found the cache. TNLN, TFTH, Great spot, well worth a visit. Would like to spend more time in the area and really explore, maybe when Mrs-Mix is not expecting.

Beautiful spot, GPS not much help, but found after a short hunt. Waves of muggles coming through which made it all a bit more fun.Big Grin

Found 1300hrs. Great spot. GPS went nuts due to the tree cover but walked straight to it. No time for the walk but will keep it in mind for the future.

Very nice walk! No GPS coverage, so we used the force. Left behind Mic Check and took the two bugs for a trip to the Red Center.

Thanks For the Cache!

It's a lovely drive up to these parts and the area is as beautiful as ever. There was quite a bit of rain around today so we just visited the lookout and didn't go on to the falls as planned.

This is a very difficult hide as the GPS coverage is very poor... we were 20 metres one way and then 20 minutes the next... Sanity then prevailed and we had the cache in hand shortly thereafter.

Took GoKo TB.

Not easy. So much holed logs where you could hide a cache... I was ready to abandon when the cache suddenly appeared just before my feet !

In : coin from Taiwan
Out : TB

Big Grin It's my first time to locate a cache and TB. I've found a lot of fun and looking forward for the next one.

My son Adrian was the one in the family who found the cache. Quite quickly when we had started to look for it. (After having a good view from the top of the waterfall!)

Traded a number of items and did also drop of a number of Travel Bugs. One comes from USA and it just wants to travel around in the world. It has been two years in Sweden so now it is time to see Australia.

The others are participating in a TB-race back home to Sweden again. Please take one and bring it with you to an other cache. Near some big airport would be good! Big Grin

Thanks a lot!

Granis and his family!

My brother Adrian was the one who found it. I did drop off my very first TB, Rubort, that wants to go back home to Sweden as fast as possible.

Thanks for any help!

After the waters had died down, things were a little easier to find (the hinterland is now not as majestic as it was when part of the team went hunting a week or so ago). Even though the GPS was still giving mixed signals and the muggles were out in force to give a couple of strange looks, our monkey sense allowed us to find the cache relatively easy this time. The waterfall was only a trickle of its former self but it was still a great place to visit!

OUT: Touch bubbles
IN: A double adaptor, 2x MonkeyStamp-Tubes (please log if you take one of these so we can track it see GCPFFX or the game's website http://nightshadow.co.uk/12_monkeys for details).

ok, well this was a little dissapointing, our first no-find.

gps reception was pretty poor but after finding the rough location we scoured the area pretty well for the cache.. still nothing. however there was a great deal of fallen plant matter an other such stuff which probably came from the recent storms!! mind you the waterfall was absolutely awesome!!! will get aaron to post up some pics later.

this cache may need a servicing, esp if it is located under/near the base of a tree as it probably would now be well buried. could the owner please message me with some more specific details as to the location and i'll let u know if its prob still alright. planning a trip back to springbrook for this weekend for more waterfally goodness Wink

A great spot! Loved getting away from the coast and seeing some of the country-side. The old GPS was having difficulty in the forest sending me chasing GPS phantoms through the forest, much to the amusement of my wife who watched from the trail. After traversing the same slippery log for the fourth time my wife calls from a distance away with the words "I found it". With her around why do I have a GPS? Having nothing to trade TN, left my business card. Mahalo for the cache.

Another beautiful location that we had not visited. Great piece of natural beauty even when the 'brook' is running so dry.

Great site, took a while to find, but found some interesting fauna and flora on the way.

TNLN,

Jerry.

Found this back in February with JM, but forgot to log. Silly of me righttt?

This one was really tough. Between the muggles and the poor gps reception, it took us a long time to finally find this one. Spa Susi finally spotted it. We took a koala and left a calculator.

We are new to this game, we tagged along with our son (The Oompas) but we managed to find this cache first. Ha Ha.

Thanks Bears.

Lots of muggles about and poor satellite reception made this cache quite a challenge but we got there.
We loved the views.

Thanks
The Oompas.

YAY! Found by Team Tarquin at 8.45am (our first, First To Find). Took 45 mins, as we went from one lookout to another, with the GPS not giving a good reading....spotted lots of reptiles on our adventures, including a green snake, large goanna and two huge black lizards.
Found after Mrs T stood as "lookout" with the GPS, and pointed Mr T in the right direction.
Took sun shades, left water bombs. Lovely location!

Sorry to hear you couldn't find this one guys. I must say I had a lot of difficulty getting a signal too, but that's rainforest for you.

I hope you enjoyed the area anyway and that someone else can confirm it is still there soon.

We searched for this for about an hour, nothing. We left and came back a few hours later thinking the coverage might have been better if the satelites had some time to move around a bit. Searched for another 30 minutes, nothing.

Good luck to the FTF here, and watch out for things that run through the bush beneath your feet!
