As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

I have picked this one up as there has been a fire through and pretty much burnt the lot. I will replace it shortly.

I will be repairing this cache soon(within 2 weeks).

How heartbreaking. When I worked in forestry, this was home patch. Now the area has been devestated by the need for photocopy and non recycled toilet paper. Was travelling through here with researchers from Australian National University who where beyond disgust that all through the large rocks had been cut as well and now these rocks and mosses had dried out and the sterilisation burn had been that hot that the outer layers of the rock had been flaking off. THE ANU researchers where trying t find rocky out crops to study, but the realisation is dawning that the woodchip industry has destroyed almost every rocky outcrop in wet forests ecosystems. A unique and rare habitat that we have barely even studied.

No sign of cache and didn't realise it had been disabled. Might be better to archive. View still distant but this area has been destroyed.

I'm closing this one down until I can fix it.

We think that this cache has gone! The white tree, which we think was the tallest on the summit, is now the longest tree.

The tree has fallen over, and either flung the cache to points unknown, or buried it beneath a great weight of timber.

Found along with 3up after today's ARC rally event. We took the long way up and the short way down. I reckon the view from here would be great... if there were no low clouds and rain. The cache had some water in it, but double bagging the log book has kept it in good order. Thanks for the cache.

Find # 1590 @ 13:40
Found with squalid after the ARC rally being held close by. We parked at a convenient place and ambled up to the cache. We decided to follow the slightly overgrown path back down.
Great cache. Thanks Nutcache!

absolutely magnificiantCool

This spot would make anyones top 5..
Madam 13 actually showed some interest is something other than her friends.
She said this is the first cache that has actually been worth doing, very high praise of that spot.
Every one should go here....
container was full of rusty water, needs to be replaced.
Actual container is ok maybe needs a plastic sheet to go over the top of it, need new swaps and log book.
many thanks for this one will definatly be going back there, S says good spot for a picnic.

Easy find in a nice spot
The chache was wet. About 20mm of water in the bottom kept the fish and the frog happy.
We dried it the best we could in limited time and moved on

Found at 0915 hours, had a nice stroll into GZ, nice easy find, they could have used this spot in the movie, it looks so similar to the movie(if use your imagination).
Emptied the water out of the cache, log book is fine.

Found on the 24 at 7:15pm after a walk along the Ada Tramway. Calm and peaceful sitting on top of the rock. The fish and the frog in the cache were quite at home in the wet. Poured out the water. TNLN

I was about to try cross country when I thankfully found the track - there is a large bush in front of it but it is in an obvious spot from the road. The track was easy enough to follow (and miles better than the alternative!). The rocks were easy enough to mount and once at gz it was an easy find. The cache had water in it but the contents were fine. Thanks nutcache for another little adventure in this great series.

Found @ 1530

Found whilst having a look around the Yarra Ranges. The track is very overgrown, but easy to follow. I loved the rocks. It was rather slippery all around, but I got there in the end. Cache had some water in it, but not too bad. TNLN, I'm loving this series. TFTC!

I have dried out the container and contents including the log book which is a bit faded but still readable. It is back in its original hiding place. Be careful getting over the big slippery log, it may be safer to cross it more to the left and rejoin the track further uphill.

21-Aug-07
I've taken the container home to dry the contents. I will replace it later in the week.

found it at 4pm after having a try at 1pm and then deciding to come back found the surprise under the cache, scared the ***t out of me, the cache was full of water drained and dried as best we could, took window stick on lizard and left racing car. Thanks for the cache, the track is very overgrown and tree very slippery in June !!!

We found nice close parking and headed off, unfortunately we made this one a lot harder than it should have been by coming in from the wrong direction. We found this quickly after reaching GZ, grabbed the cache and saw that a surprise had beel left for the next finders. We opened the cache to find it half full of water, dried it out the best we could. Luckily the log book was still dry.

Thanks Nutcache for another in this great series

Unusuall place that I never would have found with out my new hobby. Will have to come back and explore further. Found cache easily but this one had popped open and was full of water so i cleaned and dried it with the Brown cloth that was inside so I took that and left golf ball. Although I later found a golf ball in my pocket so I am unsure if I left one or not.

Found at 4:45pm. The path was indeed 150m and the great obstacle was indeed the fallen tree that was extemely slippery and difficult to cross, though fun to do. We were surprised to see what loomed up at GZ and after a little more careful navigation, we soon had the cache in hand. (This is another of those spots that we wonder how you actually figured out to come here in the first place.)

Thanks Nutcache from D,S & H B-A. Took nothing, left nothing.

Found mid afternoon in compnay with team rabbitto.

A good walk up, that one big tree that was over the path caused a bit of trouble to get over, it was very slippery and wet today due to the rainfall. It was very cold at the top, but only took about 2 minutes for Rabbitto to find the cache. Pitty there is so many trees around, then this place would have a better view. But thanks for the cache from M.B

Had a nice walk into GZ, the boys forged ahead while I plodded along. My GPS led me past Muzza, Alansan and DAK and up. I found the cache at 450pm TNLN
Thanks Nutcache for this cache.

This was an enjoyable walk through the forest and much better than our first time to this area for other caches. The cache was quickly spotted by Kiwideb at 4:50pm and we all set out filling in the log and checking out the senery, but missed the critter under the cache until it was time to put it back. Sorry, but we missed the surprise factor.

I swapped a bubble blower out for a small deck of cards. Thanks Nutcache and Happy New Year!

Eighth of twelve Yarra Valley caches with kiwideb, muzza, and Alan-san. After a relatively easy walk up the hill, we found Minas Tirith, and I obeyed the cache description by attacking from the left flank. The others veered to starboard, and not only beat me to the top, but had all found the cache by the time I got there. Sad Kiwideb was first to snaffle it at 1650. As I was the last to find it, I was the one who actually retrieved it. I didn't even see the hidden danger. Muzza spotted it when he returned the cache. Does that mean I'm dead now? If so, how can I be writing this log? Is the meaning of life, the Universe, and everything really 42? My brain hurts! [xx(]

IN: Hair brush
OUT: Small pack of cards

31-Dec-04
Found in a group consisting of Kiwideb, Dak, Alan-san and myself. This was our sixth together for the day. We found the path and followed it up. My (dak's borrowed) GPS led me to a tree not quite at the end. After a bit of a search, I followed everyone else, whose GPS's were pointing further up the hill. By the time I reached the top, Kiwideb had just found it. A reset of the GPS moved GZ by over 30 metres.

Its a lovely area, and the walk up was enjoyable. I took a packet of glitter letters and numbers, and left a gecko stickon in its place. Thanks Nutcache, for the cache and for taking us to such a wonderful spot.

Found by Mary & David at 1045. Even the GeoCalais could have done this drive. Loved the story, and the landscape seemed to fit perfectly. Took ceramic elephant, left Avon Christmas powder and a karma card. Our thanks to Nutcache.

Probably the hardest cache for the day for me, but probably the most rewarding. I was worried that I was in the wrong place, but on arival all was OK. Sat down up top to take it in before searching and at first I was worried I wouldn't find it with all the possible hidey holes everwhere, and with the hint left at the bike, I just had to search, but alas, it was found... with a surprise that was replaced to give some excitement, and a reminder to be careful in the bush, especialy with summer coming around. Retrieved knife, put neckwarmer in (in preparation for winter?). What a spot. Cheers.

Found in the company of Biggles Bear at 4.50pm. Nice little walk along a very obscure track. Lots of fallen trees in the area. BB1 located it first while we were looking in the general area that we thought it was in. Great area Nutcache. Took: Spring, Left: Shot Glass

Found 16:50, in the company of PPrass, a very impressive piece of granite.

Took purple squishy frog and left Stanley knife, thanks Nutcache.

As I followed the GPSr from warby I suspected I may have put the wrong coords in. What could be out there? But there it was! Found the track OK and of to the cache. The track looked well used. On finding the cache I almost started to speak in tongues that I won't repeate[:o]. Looks like the Act2 youth group had all been with one accord at the same place earlyer in the day[:p].
Left a frog
Took a ball
This place would have had a good view years back - now a nice peaceful place. On the way back I had a similar encounter as that at the cache but this time I took a second look - the real thing 15 cm from me[:o]!

Thanks Again Nutcache
