Thanks for the cache and taking us here Stormriders. Found after a great fun day with like minded friends. After the Workout at Wivenhoe event we paddled 19 km in 6 hours and picked up 20+ caches today. Whew! What a feat! We heard this oldie is still here so we signed our names.

After a gruelling paddle with geo friends earlier on today we thought it would be a good idea to stop by here to see if this archived cache container was still at GZ before heading into Fernvale for a tasty famous pie and a beverage at the Bakery.
We all walked down the hill and before I could start searching, Davidwazza had found the prize.

Today, the plan was to kayak Lake Wivenhoe. I met a group of enthusiastic Geocachers readying their boats, and we set off to attend the kayaking event, and then continue to find a variety of geocaches hidden around the lake. Following the grueling expedition, we had a bakery late lunch nearby, and then I found a few geocaches on my return back, including the completion of *Historical landmarks of Goodna* Adventure Lab.
With this archived geocache nearby, I thought I'd let the rest of the group know about it, and so E_Smiley, Peppa, Snickersallan and I took a short drive, and parked nearby to this cache just off the main road. A short descent down, and it wasn't long until we found the cache in reasonable shape, of which it had only been found a month ago (despite getting archived in 10/2018). The container showed fire damage, but otherwise the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Stormriders for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. A shame to have seen this oldie 11/2004 hidden cache go, when the cache didn't seem to be in too bad of shape.

A great afternoon's meetup and caching catchup with my posse - and after lunch we headed up here for a couple of us to take a look for this oldie that was mistakenly archived a couple years ago. Cache is fine, although a serious web effort was adorning the insides (no residents at home though). Cleaned that out a bit but the rest of the contents were in fine order still.
Thanks Stormriders for entertaining me at this location.

Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

There was another cache on our way back to the pub so we thought one more even though our stomachs were protesting. We saw a council car parked where we were about to pull into and luckily for us he took off just as we were arriving.
We followed the clear geo trail and there it was out in the open so we covered it over a bit better to keep hidden. The pub is now definitely calling for us!

Nice easy find except a little hard to open up but eventually got into it to find a web without its guest... Thank goodness. TNLN
Found it. Very good hide. The log book is full. Be carefully when we found it there was a spider inside living in it.
We are staying a few days in the Marburg area, catching up with FelixII for some geocaching fun. A plan was hatched yesterday where an early morning would see the boys doing the water based caches, launching at Watching the Boats, and the girls would circumnavigate the lake in the comfort of air conditioning and get some land based caches, meeting back up at good to the last drop, for a car shuttle to pick the boat up.
It was a great day exploring the Lake Wivenhoe area.
This cache had a hole in it from fire damage and was full of ants. Fortunately they moved off after being dropped!

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Stopping a few days in Marburg to explore the local area and catch up with El_Peregrinos.
The Gents went boating on Wivenhoe Dam whilst the Ladies did a circuit of the dam by road and picked up a few other caches. Was a fabulous day and not even sighting a snake at 1 GZ could dampen our spirits.
the cache has a hole in 1 end and there were a heap of ants checking it out for a new home, but once they had a headache from being dropped seems they may have moved on.

A quick grab while in the area today. Lots of spiders to contend with on the way to the cache. Seems a fire when through here at some stage, but the cache appears watertight still. TFTC!
Stayed overnighr on the campsite, lots of roos and possums running wild, great location tftc
Took my son out for a stroll to see if we could learn how to use a GPS. My son had lots of fun wants to go looking for more! Heaps of Kangaroos getting about.
Today we went out for a family paddle in our inflatable flotilla. The day was just perfect without wind and a slight cloud cover.
Today we picked up 6 from the water side and 2 landbased.

Nice afternoon for a walk. The cache certainly looks like it has stories to tell. TFTC
Found when having a dads-only-with-kids weekend in a nearby Captain Logan camp. This cache was just about 300m from our tent so there was no way not-to-get it.
Kids were pretty surprised by the cache size.
We had a very good time here and it was excellent to have such a good reason to visit this place.
Thank you for this cache Stormriders!

Out at Lake Wivenhoe this weekend for some caching and camping. Mrs Slow Puncture and I continued on to find a few caches that the other cachers camping with us had already found. So off we went at night to find this one, we were surprised when we had seen it had been through a fire and noticed a small hole in the end of the container. We replaced and headed back for some more camping fun and toasted marshmallows. TFTC
after a day out kayaking and finding 8 caches . we were getting ready to eat dinner at our camp spot nearby we snuck off to find this cache. picked up the travel bug . thankyou stormriders for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
It was a dark and (almost rainy) night. A group of us were camped around a fantastic fire and enjoying coffee, burning marshmallows (or was that heating and eating! :O), and for some of us, a tipple or two (or was that three) . In amongst this glorious night, RhoBoCacher and Slow Puncture both decided to go to claim a smilie on this cache. It would certainly cap off a glorious day of claiming so many smilies, having been rained on and wind creating a nice little chop on the lake. The moon was supposed to be up, and when Ruzzlez and myself looked to the heavens, all we could see was an eerie glow around and in between some of the clouds. It was strange because the glimmering light wasn’t in just one spot, but over a large portion of the clouds. Weird! So in between admiring the possums who were not out and about, and listening to the millious bird life around us (such a glorious night and location). Off we both headed into the dark abyss. Certainly hearing the laughter disappearing as we went further into the bush and then hearing more of the animal life around us was a little disconcerting but also great fun. We soon located the container, which was showing signs of surviving a previous fire, signed the log and replaced as found. The moisture was starting to get inside this once totally sealed container, but other than that, all was well with this cache. Thankyou for bringing us to this location and we claimed another smilie!

After grabbing a number on the water we headed backwards to camp and decided to find this one before going for a shower to clean off all the mud (and check for ticks). K8nCo, QueSera and I trekked on through the bush until we arrived at a very obvious GZ. Cache seems to have survived some burning at some stage here.
Thanks for the cache Stormriders.

On our driving trip today out of the city, it was great to visit this area. So many beautiful few points. The dam’s water level is quite low but nonetheless still beautiful. Lots of people camping here over the long weekend. I bet they are happy to have the milder weather today after the heat of the last few days.
Thanks

A gap in my DT grid saw this cache highlighted for me. I was in the region collecting a FTF so I figured i would drive the extra 20 or so kms to get this too. Nice that it's also an old one too.
Beautiful spot. Camped at Lumley Hill
Overlooking the water. Great views. The cache has suffered fire damage and is nolonger watertight and the log is sust a small sheet of pad needs attention but great cache. Tftc

Found at 10pm with daHumbug on the bug's birthday. Cache has experienced fire and flood, taking the log overnight to dry out and find a raincoat, will return tomorrow.
Swellerfungus was camping at Lake Wivenhoe for the weekend and had decided to bring the bike to gather some caches along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Crookedpete was joining him in an attempt to boost his D/T rating to the lofty heights shared by his fellow Bromancers. Not wanting to miss out on the fun I had boldly invited myself along.
Swellerfungus had sent out an SOS call the night before asking if we could pick up some important items he had forgotten to pack - namely shoes and a carton of Fungus Juice (aka Pepsi Max). So with those items on board we had planned to meet up in Esk to begin our ride. On the drive out this morning we received another call from Swellerfungus to say that he had only just tried to pump up his bike tyres and discoved one of the valves was broken and would have to return to camp for repairs. Luckily we hadn't gone to far past camp and it was a quick u-turn for us back to the camp site.
We arrived before Fungus and with some time to spare made the short walk across to GZ where the cache was quickly located. TFTC.

The Bromance was tackling some nearby geo-art by mountain bike this morning.
Obviously, Fungus has never heard of the 5P's (Prior Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance) as on the way to our rendezvous point in Esk, Seff and I had to pop into the Fungus household camp site to meet Fungus for some early morning bike repairs.
Whilst waiting for Fungus to arrive, Seff and I slipped over to this cache for a quick find.
Many thanks Stormriders

Camping at Logan's Inlet. Took the long way around with a troop of kids to find this cache. Threw in a few more swaps.

After having a bit of a swim and a paddle, we ducked in here to find Captain Logan after a brush with a frog, a zombie gnome and Santa.
It was a quick, easy find as the container was in plain sight. It has clearly been in a fire at some stage as the container has melted and warped. This made removing the kid a chore. Inside though, everything was fine except for a domino which now has a large twist in it.
After signing the log, i returned it under the pile of sticks it was evidently meant to be under.

Ok. I found this in about April. I was visiting Di Morgan (mum) and we went and found this cache. I don't know if there is a record for logging a cache 4 months latter. But I having a go.
Thank you.
Thank you.
For the longest time I've been wanting to visit the vast Wivenhoe Dam and collect the multitude of smilies dotted around its shores. Today before setting out for a paddle, I wandered down the hill and found this one.
In good nick and survived a fire in the past by the looks.

A day on the lake with Selva Girls. She had commandeered a boat and our skipper in our epic voyage was Trumanato. I have been wanting to get these caches for such a long time to increase my terrain rating.

Looks like I'm the third in a row out at Wivenhoe for hubby's birthday. We came for a few days to sail our cat. The location was about 350m as the crow flies from our campsite but about 800m walking around the bay. Did the trip with son number one and his girlfriend who is a gamer and may now take up geocaching. Passed about 20 kangaroos lazing by the path including a huge daddy, which gave us pause, and some joeys. The cache was melted but could be opened. It was totally out in the open and spotted from about 50m away so lucky it is a fair way from the track. Signed the log and provided the container with a bit better branch and rock cover. Thank you stormriders for the adventure!
After spending the day at Wivenhoe Dam for Dad's birthday we made a quick stop on our way out to grab this one. Kestal had no problem signing the log. TFTC Stormriders
At Wivenhoe for the day for muggle hubby's birthday and as much as I was tempted to take off in the canoe I thought better of it and waited until the end of the day to come and grab this one on the way out. Out on a drive today, came in to check out the camping area. Found our way to GZ. The cache has been burnt but between geo hubby and I we manage to open it. After signing the log we replaced the lid but not quite as tight as it was. Thanks Stormriders for the cache.

On our way to a fun filled day on the water we stopped by to make a land grab. Madscatts made the find and filled the cache with swaps ( it was pretty empty). On our way back we must have picked up every grass seed in the area. Back at the car and a quick change of clothes before heading on our way. TFTC
We enjoyed a long paddle around Wivenhoe for the first time on our new kayak. Needless to say we were pretty knackered by the end of the weekend. We found some fantastic caches along the way and dipped our toe in the lake of water caches.

Camping with some friends for the weekend. A small group of us decided to wonder over to this cache. After listening to one of the males in the group, we walked further than we needed to!. Once we got back on track, the cache was quickly located and the log signed. On the walk back to the campsite, I was saying how sure footed I had become now that I had new hiking shoes. As the last word came out of my mouth, I went down, laughing. that will teach me!
Camping at Wivenhoe for the weekend with a group from the Northside Puzzle Group. Several people had watercraft of some kind so we were all able to get out on the water and find some caches.
I walked around to this one late in the afternoon with Wombles and Co. An earlier group had already signed the log as NPG for our group so we had a look at the cache and then headed back to camp.

We, Linden/6, Bulldozer72, Selva Girls, and some that won't come to mind right now, walked over to the cache site. As I was in need of a cool drink which I set out to buy from the office, I had a hard time catching up with the group, but was present when they finally stumbled onto GZ.

We wandered over to find this cache from the campsite with caching friends. As we headed down the trail we could see other friends who had arrived in kayaks and were looking for somewhere to pull in. Initially the smartphone said the container was in one place, but soon changed it's mind and we were trekking through the long grass to reach the actual GZ. Of course once the log was signed we then found the easy way out [:O)] always the way..... Tftc Stormriders!
I walked up to this one late in the afternoon. We took the low road when we should have taken the high road, or the high road when we should have taken the low road?
We got to gz without any bush bashing anyway!
I was surprised to see the cache container and wished I'd bought some tbs with me to put in it.
Thanks for placing this cache out here.

In company with the friendly horde that made up the weekend NPG caching adventure & we were on a mission!
A pleasant stroll from our campsites soon found us at GZ.
Admittedly this was after some confusion with the co-ords & whether we should approach from 'down here or up there'? LOL ...
Nevertheless a quick find.
Cache signed & replaced as found.
A couple of 'slips' on the way back to camp but no lasting injuries!

Heading out towards Esk today and I spotted this cache not far off the highway and decided to head in and take a bit of a look. It was a good thing that it was quite here today and I was able to quickly pull in and park pretty close to GZ.
I short stumble down the hill and I was soon nearby to a place that looked good for the GZ with the cache soon spotted. I got my name added to the log and worked my way back up to the car and onwards on the journey.

Thanks for the cache Stormriders. It's a great area to visit and explore.
