Hi Geocachers,
I haven't been very active due to Uni commitments but hopefully next weekend or before new year I should be able to investigate the area and set up something suitable.
Sorry about the delay Perth cachers and I hope to be more active in the near future.

Since the last find in May 2009 I was in Perth at least 4 times, always watching this cache and always leaving frustrated as it was disabled since then and no new container being placed.
As I am leaving next sunday and will most probably not return within the next years I decided today to take a small plastic container with a logbook and went to gz.
I placed the new container in the most obvious place there, a hollow log, 3 m above water level. So you need to climb a bit but not difficult at all.
I covered the container with some wood to prevent it from being muggled again. So from my perspective the cache can be enabled again and the search can continue.
I hope this is ok with you, S2333. If not please remove the box again.
Cheers and best regards

Oh well we enjoyed crawling through the bush and rocks anyway. Visiting from South Africa.
Tide was high so we had to scale hill to get to location, great adventure for the kids. We look everywhere for it with no luck. On subsequent review of logs I also suspect that that the cache has been removed.
No luck for me either. And the tide was high which made the final 100m challenging (but fun all the same).
Could not find this as well. As the last log is now a year ago, I would very much recommend the owner to check, whether it's still there or not.
Be back in September to try again, if still alive.
Cheers from Germany

Lovely walk back along the beach from Bridging Henry. But despite much crawling around and looking under rocks and bushes, this one eluded us for now.
A very rocky walk from "bridging henry" but in the end couldn't find it. Tried taking a short cut back through the bush and ended up in the Aquinus College grounds. Woops.
Beautiful flowers out in the bush at the moment. Worth the walk.

Couldn't find it. Our first DNF!!!!!

Great spot, lots of muggles in boats on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
Thanks for bringing us here

Wow big event for a 6 y/o (if you are on foot). Go the wrong way and there are cliffs. Once there it was easy to find. Fish jumping in the water... good views. Very rewarding. left candle, took car.
really enjoyed this one...thanks S2333...have appreciated both your caches Ive done
Second find for the day paddling our kayaks up the river. There was a little bit of beach to land on and a quick find for the cache.
After finding Bridging Henry, we continued on with the kayaks to this cache. nice hide!

Thanks to AusTrackers for replacing the log book. It has been on my maintenance list, but just haven't made it out there.
Walked, well, climbed really, along the shoreline from Bridging Henry. Turned out that it was nearly high tide. Still, we managed to stay dry. Great hiding spot for the cache! After signing the bottom of the log sheet we found we had a spare small logbook in our bag so we left that in the cache. We've had this one on our to-do list for a long time and its great to have finally tackled it. Thanks Aushiker.
Ahh. Low tide. What a blessing. And a lovely day for a search.

Found this one whilst I was in the area. Picked it today because it was lowish tide and there was plenty of beach to walk along. An easy walk in after crossing the bridge and a quick find. Cache is missing the log and writing implement so left Blingg's Dijabringapenalong GC - thought it was appropriate - but it's not much good for signing with. Added my find to the piece of paper that was left by hhheddy.
Thanks for the cache, Aushiker.

Not the easyest of caches to get to by bike, Should have brought along a lock. Instead I lugged the bike to within 100m of the cache.
Great hiding spot. No log book found in the cache, so I left a sheet of paper to record my visit.
Thanks for the great hunt on this one. Steve

Now after completing "Bridging Henry" I got on the bike and found a nice fence to look at leading to some Aquinas College thing.
I turned back and went back down the stairs and started walking along the sand....all 20 cm I had to step on.
I went for about 100m like this occasionally going up into the bush. I can now say I have done my damage to the environment.
I gave up when my GPS told me I still had 120m to go.
So a DNF for now...
Next Episode: S2333 comes back with a boat!

Walked from south side across bridge - at low tide - and had a lovely adventure tracking this down. A bit of slipping and sliding and there it was. Great fun and visited an area where I wouldn't normally have gone. Great views of a beautiful river. TN Left $2 note.

yeah found it from above the hard way when asking fellow bugger how to get there i should refer to notes lol tnlnsl
Found by Mary & David at 1620. Continued on around the shoreline from 'Bridging Henry' and loved the sound of the water, the views across to boats and big houses. Found quickly. Now for the long walk back to our car. TNLN. Our thanks to Aushiker.
"I FOUND IT" I found it at night which was really quite difficult. but none the less i succeeded. well done aushike
This was a pretty easy find though ti would have been a lot more difficult if it had been raining this weekend or if the tide was up cos the bush did not look like fun to treck through. TNLN TFTH
The tide must have been in as the 'beach' was non-existent. Got wet feet but thats all part of the fun. An easy find once I finally reached the location. TNLN. TFTH.
Beach in - Track out ( I prefer the track ) There were sime kids names in the next "unused" page in the log - hopefully they will continue to leave it as is. [^]
Nightmare.... we had a large party of kids and two mums (Donna, Margaret, Brittany, Maddy, Joshua, Mackenzie, Samantha, Brandon and Georgia) so we went under Mt Henry and followed a non-existent path up the bush... all kids and mums scratched lots... 30 minutes later found a path at the top of hill, followed that around and past the cache then tried going off the path and heading to river... bad move, bush way too thick... gave up after 90 minutes and headed back... then when we got back to Mt Henry, left mums with three littlest ones and four big kids waded through the river around the point and found the cache a long time and a lot of water later.... good hiding place.... suggest no one attempt land approach to cache.
Steep one! My second cache today. Going back to Norway tomorrow after 4 weeks holiday down here.

We enjoyed an early morning walk under Mt. Henry bridge, as neither of us have been under there before. Cyclists seem to love it too! Apart from the traffic noise, it's a very nice peaceful area around here. I thought we might be able to walk along a beach to the cache, just like it says in the cache description...but what beach? There was no beach. Maybe at low tide there might be. We weren't prepared for wading through the water to get there, so we had a lovely walk through the bush up top, where there are lots of Banksia trees. If you come in from the top it's quite steep near the cache, and good exercise getting back up again! The Osprey has a great eyrie up on that pole, and we even saw the Osprey down by the river, looking for fish no doubt. The co-ordinates were spot on so Ursula found the cache quite easily at 9:30am.
Left - nothing. Took - Waltzing Matilda Geocoin.

I really made it hard for myself. I spent a while looking for the cache and resorted to phone a friend for an extra clue and after talking to them went back to a place I had supposedly already looked only to find it. I paddled back the way I had come as the tide had crept in on me.

Walked to the cache from the Mt. Henry estate side but had to negotiate the barrier put up by the workers on the railway/bridge works. A bit of a squeeze through the gap and bushes then a dirt filling of the shoes going down the man made earth ramp. The tide was out so I was able to walk with ease to the site without walking in any water, but the sand was wet. Found the site without difficulty but took skin off the top of my finger when retreiving the cache due to the prickly nature of the hide. Luckily I had long pants on and was wearing a full brim hat to minimise the sharp pricks. Box was damp on the outside and the log book felt limp possibly due to condensation even though it was in a clip lock bag. TNLN TFTC. It is a good spot Andrew
My rowing partner and i have been planning to find this one for a while, and today i finally remembered to bring my gps down to rowing (secure in a clipseal container with a swap!).
Beached our favorite boat (the 'Tex') around the east side of mt henry on a sandy shore, and walked around to the cache (Gemma and I both have the cuts on our feet to prove this!) - and i think the aquinas 8s rowing past probably think we were insane or dodgy.. but hey who cares??:P
found after a bit of hunting - didn't realise i'd have to climb so far up:)
Took out a water pistol, left a tape measure keyring:)
Thanks for the cache!

The easy access from the bridge was blocked, so we took the high road, decided not to take the direct way down, and walked on a little until the descent became a little easier.
Loved the artificial eyrie complete with sea-eagle nest (and MumEagle watching us balefully), and seeing Mum struggling back up with a big fish in her talons.
A pleasant walk along the narrow beach later and the obvious spot for the cache was spotted and investigated. Mama Bear_Left found it, so there's another ode released into the wild now. Believe it or not, but she's had poetry published...
On the path along the freeway, we saw a dummy up in a tree. Perhaps it had been spat there five weeks or so earlier?

After seeing the lowish tide while at the nearby cache I decided to continue on to this one as there was a TB I'd like to grab. Tricky little search followed by disappointment upon discovering the TB was grabbed the previous evening. The reason for the disappointment being, even though I pronounce my nick as nobody's the Z on the end represents my nickname - Zed. I've been known as Zed for some 29 years so when I saw a TB going around with the same name I thought it appropriate we should meet, ah well, it's not meant to be on this occasion.

As we were passing across Mt Henry Bridge, looked at the shore and saw the low tide so we grabbed this opportunity to walk along the beach to hunt the cache. It was a difficult to climb to find it. Anyway we got there in the end. TNLNSL. Dropped TB ZED in. It was so beautiful day we walked around. Thanks Aushiker for the cache and special spot to share with us all.
Found the cache at 11.30am. Gee!! It was so beautiful walk along the beach walking while it was low tide... TNLNSL. Thanks for the hunt.
Driven to distraction is the only way to explain this. Took geo kids, geo dog and geo kid's friend to find this one. It was a longish walk as the bridge works forced us to park at Aquanis and walk. We did this cache after attempting a nearby cache on the other side of the freeway (which by the way was a snack!).
Well, I said "I will go and have a look while you guys stay there"...bad move...no sooner had I got down to the bottom (yes approached it from the top)..then the kids were falling down the hill, the dog was yelping for his master, the bees were attacking the dog (so geo friend was screaming) and hell was freezing over!
Looking at the spoiler - I WAS SOOOO CLOSE!! NOOOOOO! I knew those footprints in the sand told me I was close!
So a rushed (fruitless) attempt in the end...and typically at a pr*ck of a spot! I hate being defeated. This one takes a bit of getting to...what were you guys thinking!? Arggggghhhh
Calm....calm...as my daughter posed to me "Are you mad at the cache or us?"...I paused momentarily as I wasn't sure.
Did I mention I hate being defeated?
I will be back - alone!

Decide to do this one same time as Bridging Henry. There was no beach so after finding a track over the top of hill I made it to GZ and there was somebody fishing there, so kept quiet signed log and retreated quietly TNLN Thanks

There was very little beach at the time I was there and as there was a number of dolphins were upstream of the bridge I climbed up the hill to watch them.
They were still there and closer to the bridge as I walked back over it so ended up spending some more time watching them from the bridge.
TN left Northing TB.

Another quiet day at the office, so convinced 2 workmates to jump on the MTB's and head down to Deep Water Point for coffee and cake. On the return trip around the bridge stopped off for a quick visit. Easy walk along the waters edge, found easily then back to the bikes and along the river to East Perth. Great day for a ride. A bit more of a scramble than I was expecting. Bit of a dodgy path down to the beach and then wading along to the waypoint - at least I got to wash off the dust. TNLNSL

Our second cache for the day. Has it been that long since we have had a chance to look around Perth. So much is changing and places we thought we knew are sooooo different now.
Found the cache after a short search. At first thought it had been taken as we found a spot which looked like it had been set up to hold a cache. Maybe its first resting place.
We added some goodies from our cache collection and left our calling card and a note in the log book.
We really enjoyed the stroll as did the geo-terriers who thought that they should be swimming.

Thanks to Devar for grabbing the TB. The waves from a speedboat just about swamped the kayak and I rushed down with the cache contents not realising I didn't have it all! The perils of geocaching! I almost went back later to get Ante Up anyway, now I wish I would have!

Found at 4:30PM with wot on a glorious Sunday. We rode south on the freeway cyclepath and over Mt Henry. Ditching the bikes at the top we clambered down to the river. It's very steep. As we found out later it is actually much easier to walk in from the base of Mt Henry Bridge along the shoreline (we ended up re-finding the other nearby cache as well and then going riiiight around Mt Henry!).
When we got to ground zero, we found a travel bug, sitting on a rock, on the shore, just sitting there. Evidently the cache rangers absent mindedly left it sitting there after replacing the cache, and forgetting to retrieve it when they got back in their manually operated paddle boats (I hear those things are called "Canoes", how quaint )
So I nabbed the TB and left one of the Geocachers Secret Weapons. ¬_¬
I reckon this is at least a 1.5 difficulty / 3 terrain cache, especially if you took the way we did.
Thanks for the cache, this one was a good adventure.

I lived across the river in Shelley for years and went canoeing here all the time. Now I mostly paddle my kayak, and decided to drop in during a morning paddle to look for the cache. Looks like it's high enough to stay dry. I logged that I took TB Ante Up but since I'm not going to the casino in the near future I decided to leave it there and put the Ball & Chain TB in there instead to keep Ante Up company. Following LPN's log, I have moved the cache a bit further east and up, well above the high tide mark. The coordinates reflect the new location. Same cache container. A hint has been added as well and a couple of spoiler photos.
Thanks for the heads-up LPN and for replacing the log book. I must admit I am surprised the tide gets that high up, but I guess it does. I am testing a different container and if that works will swap the container. Just may mean some some underwater exploring when the tide is in. Should have it sorted by Monday evening. Oh, BTW saw you walking your bike along the "beach."
We found it...but it was full of water. We searched the most likely places first but then decided it must be in a less desirable place....yes it was in the water. High tide gets to that location especialy when the boats go past. We know you dont like the caches being moved but as it needed repairing we replaced the log book, pencil, zip lock bag and moved the cache 1m higher up the hill. Its still reachable without climbing. We covered it well and dicuised it with twigs and leaf litter but it may need revisiting by the owner before the School holidays as kids have an uncanny ability to find things even when well hidden. We left the lid off the box to let it get some air and dry some more but when its dry someone will need to put it back on...mind you that should be common sense.
While we were out this way we repaired our own cache "Bridging Henry" by adding a new log book as the previous one was chokkers. And lastly you can still get to thse caches via the bridge...thanks for the exploration

I have just read LPN's log, I did not find it, I walk around the waters edge until I got to a point where my GPS said it was 10-12 mtrs that way, which was out in the river and I know it wouldn't be there.
With the possibility of a first find (my first) I just couldn't resist having a go at this one.
Co-ords led me pretty much where I figured the cache would be having checked my street directory first. Given the cache position I did'nt want any false starts on this one.
With hindsight it took me longer to find this one than it should've. I had been on top of it several times but had (for my own logical/illogical reasons) discounted the exact spot. Silly me! I should've just checked anyway.
Nice to find a new, well stocked cache.
Set off on return journey with wet squelchy shoes but flushed with first finders success.
Thanks Aushiker.
Took: First Finders Reward (Yes, It was a winner!)
Blank CD.
