Looks like this has gone, could the owner please check it?

29-Oct-11
There was no info at WP1. Maybe it has been moved or become over grown? This cache has not been found in 11 months, maybe time the owners checked it?

No luck for us here either

20-Feb-11
Looked here, looked there, looked everywhere, no sign of it.

02-Jan-11
Very disappointed to not locate this cache. Pretty sure we nailed the co-ords as it fitted with the clue and other comments from previous finders. Location has been neglected and is 'falling apart' literally. We searched the obvious and not so obvious and came up empty.

11-Dec-10
They say the Swiss outside of Switzerland are more Swiss than the Swiss and Grindelwald proves that! A very late log with JDSavannah during a wonderful stay in Launceston on our pre-Christmas tour of Launceston--on our way out to the Airport, alas. . TFTC

01-Nov-10
Smile Such a beautiful area well worth the visit. TFTC

01-Aug-10
Found today - great cache.

Unfortunately there's been some weather damage to the hiding spot and the box was open - have fixed, but may need to be looked at in regards to security going forward.

Took the long way between WP1 and 2, via Swiss Golf. TNLN. TFTC.

Perfect co-ords led me to Gz and the obvious place was the spot. TFTC. TNLN

31-Mar-10
After two visits to WP1 (we were initially careless with our reading of the information), we had a pleasant walk around a nearby feature and located the cache. The vision of one man was inspiring but it is a little sad to see the infrastructure becoming tired and the environment not been maintained in the pristine condition he would have expected. Hopefully the cache in this area is increasing awareness and may lead to positive action. TFTC

A very pleasant multi that I suspect Maccamob found only a short time before me that day.
Always love visiting this area especially the bakery over in the village Big Grin
Thanks Waterwells

11-Feb-10
Found by Mary & David at 0830. We thought we might have to wait a whole, but the gates were already open. Enjoyed the whole area. Our thanks to Waterwells.

09-Feb-10
Had a few problems with this one as Mrs Neribil put down the figures for the lake in acres and not ha. A recheck solved the problem and gz was reached. A ringtail possum was asleep in the tree at gz and was not interested in what was going on. TNLN Thanks

19-Jan-10
I looked unsuccesffuly for this cache some 3 years back and today I was in the area again. After parking the car as suggested, I set off again to where I remembered the final should be without my GPS as I had long ago lost my workings out and lo and behold there was the cache. It was somewhat exposed, hopefully somewhat less now and I walked away most content.
Thanks Waterwells.

Great multi, found out a heap of info about the place that I hadn't bothered to find out about before. It also brought back memories of my parents wedding at the little chapel. Thanks For The Find

Cache in these sort of places make me feel uncomfortable as it is really private land and perhaps the owner does not know about these caches.
I finally decided to do them and did.
It is an interesting place as he went to so much work to build it and it seems so out of place.
Nice surroundings for a cache though.
Thanks Waterwells

10:16 Found: Cute little bridge and funny little birds

11-Apr-09
10:16 Found on our Touring Tassie and Beyond 2009 Trip!

There wasn't any yodeling around here today. Was dead quiet, and no one around, so we were able to enjoy the place.

It's a pity that it has been left to run down, and it would be good to see the place looked after.

A really cool little bridge there

Hmm ! I seem to remember (vaguely) a visit to a house in Grindelwald back in 1992 Razz
There were some chalets back then, but I don't remember the motel or shopping mall being in existence Smile
So it was interesting to take the chairlift up the mountain again and check the place out Smile
Like a badly fitting suit it still looks out of place, probably even more so now Big Grin
The lack of any people around on a sunny day gave it a sort of "folly" aura Smile
So I wandered over and gathered the answers to the questions and after a brief look around the town square high tailed it out to find the cache Big Grin
Once again I found myself in slightly surreal surroundings.
I know I was still in Oz by the occassional gum tree.
After a short alpine hike I found the bridge and the cache Big Grin
I gave a yodel of thanks [^]

A lot of work has gone into this little spot that not very many people would even see, thanks for the cache, took bubbles left hilighter

Found this under my previous incarnation as a Cheesy Pig

27-Jul-08
LOVED this cache! It probaby helped that we stayed overnight at Grindelwald, and filled ourselves up with perfect weather, mini golf, bouncing pillow, shopping in 'the village', and a great hike around the gorgeous surrounds before setting off to find this cache.

It was found very easily and after fending off the voracious ducks, we left vowing to return again soon! Beautiful spot, thanks so much Waterwells. Took nothing left mini torch.

03-Jun-08
Found it at long last. This was my third stay here in a year and my third attempt at finding this cache. I'm very grateful to Waterwells for replacing the cache (again!), as I do so appreciate having some closure on the ones that cause me grief.

For what it's worth, we enjoyed a pleasant walk to GZ this time and went via S41 20.954 E147 00.419, rather than the listed WP2. There is also public access here that avoids private land.

09-May-08
Had a bit of time to kill before lunch, so we did the first part of the cache and went to lunch.

We went to "Daniel Alps at Strathlynn" and had an AMAZING LUNCH - possibly one of the best meals that I've ever had. If you can save up the dough, check out this place for some amazing food.

Anyway, so with stomachs full we headed off to complete the cache. The entry gate for the function center (?) was closed, but we found another way in, walking around the lake. The ducks were very friendly and obviously expecting some food from us!

We found the cache but wasn't sure if the area was private land or not... either way it was still a great spot. Took a lolly out of the cache to stop insects from getting in - Thanks Waterwells!

24-Apr-08
This one stumped us for a while, but the location was well worth it.

13-Apr-08
A very pleasant cache to do.
Lovely walk along the lake and spot on coords
Thanks Waterwells.

02-Apr-08
We loved the starting point for this multi and after a look around we headed off for GZ.
The drive to the park was also interesting looking at all the house designs and there gardens. The cache was found in a lovely park and then we went for the tour at the Boag's Brewery.
Thanks Waterwells,
Regards Mr.Coffee and the " Climb every mountain " Clan

01-Apr-08
The swiss village was very cute and we had a wander around the lake to find the cache. All the gates were shut and things looked very closed, but we found an open public entrance and walked. Lots of cute ducks and the church was very pretty too.

Found it in the company of Team Crackers. Great spot, kept the shutter bug in happy as well. TFTC

30-Mar-08
Our first cache of the day in the company of micaparamedic. We really enjoyed wpt1, after collecting the required information we had a look around before heading off to the suggested parking area admiring the architecture as we went. From there it was a short stroll to gz where the cache was found quickly.
We freed the tb's to help them along their travels
Thanks Waterwells for a interesting cache

30-Mar-08
On holiday from the UK.
I was going to give this one a miss on account of the number of DNFs but I was assured at the Launceston event that the cache was active again. Glad I went in search of it as the area was very interseting.

Cache found quickly. TFTC

24-Nov-07
Was over here for a wedding so took the time to cache around.
WP1 Nice and easy - this was where the reception was held that evening.
WP2 Nice and easy.
GZ - this was pretty close to the actual ceremony so took time out from the bridal photos to hunt it out. Spent a good while looking but the area has been well and truely cleaned with piles of fresh mulch now evident. I suspect it is again MIA.
Have photo proof of my general hunt in the area so I can probably put it down as an almost find....

Checked on this one and yes, the cache was MIA. We have replaced it and hopefully this time it will last.

05-Oct-07
We knew this probably wasn't going to be here as it hasn't been found since march, however, it seemed like an interesting place we should visit and that we did.
Great spot for families as plenty for the kids to do.
We got all the information then sat down for a coffee before heading around to the wp2 co-ords. Walked down to wp3, dissapointing some local ducks as we didn't have anything to feed them. Seached high and low but no cache here.... seems the area at wp3 has had a recent clean up with trees and bushes being cleared and trimmed.

It would be a shame if this wasn't maintained as it is a good spot.

11-Sep-07
I happened to come back here for another stay, this time with family, so was able to have another good look, but no joy this time either. We found lots of great spots for a cache in the vicinity of the hint, but given the work in the area, we are increasingly suspicious that the cache has been disturbed.

05-Jul-07
I stayed here the night, but arrived after dark in the rain, so obtained the info at WP1 in the evening and went to WP3 in the morning. There has been some work in the garden near GZ, so I'm not 100% sure that the cache is there anymore. As I drove away, however, I remembered that I was a bit iffy about the value for C the night before and had intended to try another value. D'oh! I'll be keeping an eye on this to see how others go...

23-Mar-07
Most impressive development - quite amazing! Thanks for the excursion, Waterwells.
No possums in tree, and only a disintergrating nest left.

01-Feb-07
just had to go back and find this one the right way, last time I found it by accident about 10 months ago, while waiting for the kids on a Newstead Harriers run, I hadnt even heard of Geocaching until then, this area is also special to us as we were married in the small chappel by the lake, about 12 years ago now, TNLN, Thanks Waterwells.

28-Jan-07
A great place to wander around on a nice day. We found the nest mentioned in a previous log, but no possums in it today. TNLN. Thanks Waterwells.

03-Jan-07
Got the necessary coords at WP1, then played mini golf & had lunch before heading off to the GZ. Spent quite a while looking for the cache & in the process found a possum nest at about head height in the pencil pine beside the bridge - at least I think they were little possums in there - all I saw was fur & some ears - at first I thought it might be the cache & was going to give it a big poke with my stick! (Fortunately I realised just in time - the cache is definitely NOT in the trees & NO stick is required to locate or retrieve.)
TNLN TFTC.

TFTC - here we are on it's 2nd birthday ! need to yodel a bit... Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear caaaache. We'll have to come back when the gate is officially open. Littlest feral kindly went and retrieved my gloves while i searched low and high but after 20 mins GPS had settled nicely and brain started to think then found the very classy ( like it's owner:) container quickly. Two nice muggle entries including council worker who dried it out and rehid it.
ANyway many happy returns T tb L koala charm

Our second Tasmanian cache, together with onegirl, brought lordelemental and fleabat for their first cache!

We have been here several times before, many years ago. This was a good excuse to come back and see how much it's changed.

Left e-bola virus.

12-Aug-06
Found this cashe with fleabat, killerbunnies and onegirl.
beutifull place to spend the day. Took nothing, the cashe was a bit water loged so i dried it off and resealed the baggies

12-Aug-06
We drove to the Grindewald shops. Then Sally the Killer bunnies GPS bossed us around untill we found it. My Dad found a white Lunch Box. It was fairly big. There was greenery quite close to it. I looked at all the things in the cache. I put my travel bug jellybellynellysmellykelly in the cache then we took a photo of Sunny Sandgroper and my travel bug next to the cache.

04-Feb-06
Last time I was here, there was a lake and a couple of houses. Very lovely area now. Found cache after a short search. FIrst find in over 300 days.
Took nothing, left highlighter.
Thanks Waterwells

We made regular checks on this area and deemed that the vegetation had grown back fully enough to replace this cache, about a month ago. We organised for it to be unarchived, but forgot to place a note here! Oooops! We're very sorry for any resulting confusion! .... Red Face

25-Sep-05
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

04-Apr-05
Temporarily archived - will be replaced as soon as the vegetation grows back.

02-Apr-05
This is a great spot to visit and I was glad to come back for a visit and find the cache. Very enjoyable.
Took bambi left stapler.
Thanks waterwells.

28-Mar-05
After playing mini golf, farewelling our cousins, we resumed caching. From the name guessed where this one was and wasn't disappointed. Cache hide is suffering from the summer die back of the vegetation but I hid it as bwst as I could.

Thanks Waterwells

26-Mar-05
This was the first stop on an afternoon of West Tamar caching, accompanied by 'A'. Bang on where it should have been - not too hard to find, either. Great spot, but I hope the new growth kicks in soon, as things are getting a bit dire. Luckily, not many muggles around nowadays.

Took tissues, and left Bob the Builder maze puzzle + honey bee. Replaced and covered over nice and safe. Thanks.

06-Mar-05
This is our second visit to find this cache. BUT the reason I never logged it before is because we never got to get to the final WP. After collecting all the info we needed, on the way there Mrs Mob got nailed by a couple of Jack Jumpers SO that was the end of caching that day !!!!!
Went back to finish our buisness today and found it easily.... TOO easily though I think, the area the cache is located in has "Thinned" out quite a lot I feel from when the cache was placed AND was actually quite easy to see without looking...
After signing the log and our swap I placed it back and 'HID" it best I could so hope it stays warm and safe....
Took:- small travel clock
Left;_ Pack of tissues & snake toy

09-Jan-05
Found this one with the help of Storm14 & Waterwells watching in the wings Wink

Mrs Enerizer found it while I was playing Troll nearby.

had a great time with this one, we just wish we had more time to spend, I've never been here before but it looks like I'll have to come back one day & allow alot more time Smile

thanks for a lovely walk Waterwells, we'll be back for a game of Mini Golf (maybe an Idea for an event cache, the Geocachers Putt Putt Challenge, I'll plot the co-ordinates for the holes first)

took Shrek cards, left a different pack of cards Smile

03-Jan-05
Having spent the night and a fair portion of the previous day at Waterwells HQ, it seemed only appropriate to start out the final day of our NY 2005 Northern Caching Trip at a Waterwells cache!

On our last trip up north we had considered placing a cache here, so I wasn't surprise when I saw this one appear not long after (great minds thinking alike!). I'm really glad the Waterwells placed this one - it's a lovely area, and the cache itself is really well thought out! An interesting area to wanter around, and looks great for lunch whether at a nearby restaurant or picnic near the final waypoint - although CraigRat warns against getting too near ducks with meat pies Smile. Thank you AGAIN Waterwells!

19-Dec-04
Found this one today in the pouring rain...still enjoyed the experience....Mrs A had fun playing with the ducks and swans (good weather for them) while i battled the elements and found the cache...took simba the travel bug for a trip down the coast. Lovely spot...the little chappel cought our eye as we are still looking for a spot to tie the knot....Mrs A sounded very keen to get married here...as long as weather is somewhat better...
Took Travel Bug Simba and left Shrek Playing Cards

Cheers

18-Dec-04
We thought we'd have lunch in a nice spot today, so I managed to convince the girls to come here to eat our rolls!

Found the info at WP1 and entered in the info and headed off to GZ.

While at the carpark we were hindered by the special attack ducks (who, it seems, like party pies as they got one of CharlieRats.)

After searching for a while at what the GPSr was saying was GZ, I realised that I wasnt looking in the right spot!! We headed off to enjoy the nearby area, and I spied a certain tassie cacher (beginning with H), heading over towards the caches general area. I spoke to him and he confirmed that I was looking in the wrong spot (but he wouldn't say where to look).... SO, I widened out the search and found it easily.... 18m from the GPSr's GZ....

Took Necklace, Left Simba TB

Thanks Waterwells, a nice peaceful spot!!

A nice peaceful spot, but beware, some of the ducks will attack! Thanks for the birthday present waterwells - apart from the present I TNLN.

27-Nov-04
This was a nice easy cache in a lovely spot. I went with Little Bast and even though it was spitting with rain we enjoyed a lovely walk around the lake. Mind you we had to avoid the guard ducks who were on full alert and ever vigilant Smile.

As I entered in the GPS both WP2 and WP3 at the same time I didn't take the sheet with us. We started to drive to WP2 and found a walking track so decided to use that instead as it looked more direct for WP2. After fending off the ever vigilant guard ducks we got close to the WP2 and I then realised I was looking at WP3.

I took the yellow duck and left a necklace.

The slight drizzle kept every one away and we had no problems with being seen, but on a fine day that will not be the case. We also found the gates at WP2 closed even though it was only 3pm.

Thanks Waterwells, really enjoyed this one even though there were lots of midges Sad

25-Nov-04
No killer guard magpies at this one, Waterwells pulled out all stops on the security, it seemed like just about every bird on the planet was staying here for a conference! What a sublime area, on a wonderfully warm day - very enjoyable.

Took the fancy coaster/plaque thingy, and left a digital travel clock - I set the time when I placed it, so it was spot on, it'll be interesting to see how much time it loses when it's taken by a cacher - if it's lost a lot I'd leave it in the cache Smile

Thanks Waterwells, you've done well placing your "Snuva contract" caches - I just have a couple more to find!
