Archived with regret as I cannot turn it into an Earth Cache and any moving of the GZ within the park would necessitate creating a new Cache anyway.
Revisited the Cache Site last weekend with the aim of determining whether this could become an Earth Cache. Seems OK to me, so watch this space to see if it approved or not. This cache will then be disabled.
The cache itself was under a rock in a copse of (Totara) trees, right by some sort of sapling - these saplings were all removed by park maintenance workers - so thanks again guys for saving the cache container.

Thanks to Technokitten for the log and prior emails to me. And to her mates for rescuing the cache... They deserve to be honorary cachers!
Cache is now disabled and a new cache will be enabled in the park soon.

The cache was rescued from the chipper by a park worker who happened to recall seeing our geocache calling cards while staying in our Turangi holiday house. GZ is now bare earth and the cache is in the hands of its rescuers in Trentham.... thanks guys
Same as last geocacher's comment. We searched extensively, but there were no rimu trees in the area, you may have confused them for Totaras.
Searched for quite sometime as we hadn't synced the PDA for a while so still had the old coords in there. As we prepared to leave the park, we noticed that we did have GenCusters log that included the updated coords so back we went.
Pretty sure its not there as the tree eluded to in the clue is not there that we can see. There is a large pile of wood chips from a tree thats been chipped recently so maybe the cache got chipped as well
Lovely park with huge amounts of bird activity that kept us captivated. We saw Tuis, Bell Birds and lots of colourful parrots (which obviously don't belong).
The Frizbee Golf also had us captivated and we're looking at buying a couple of discs and giving it a go sometime!
Thanks Chaucey and GenCuster for bringing us here!

Re-enabled cache. Thanks to all those who found the cache after it had been last been vandalised. Bob The Builder is still around...

Found the cache, but there was only an empty blue box that was plainly visible from the track below. The empty cache is now hidden a little better in amongst the rocks.
It looks like this cache is damaged. As it is the 2nd damaged one in the same spot I will have to consider finding a new spot nearby.
Also, I am looking for someone to adopt my caches, so please get in touch if you'd like to look after this one.

I don't know if I can claim a find or not...found the Bob the Builder box, but the contents, including the log book, were all missing. It was a nice walk in the park, though, and I saw my first "Flying Fox." (Don't have those in Texas!) Thanks!
Found with crusaderwomen. Third find for the day. Contents of box been scattered by muggles
Found what we think was the cache area, but there was only a small blue bob the builder plastic container left open and upturned.
Interesting park I had not been to before.

I have received an email today from a muggle threatening to steal this cache. Please don't leave anything valuable eg travel bugs etc.. in this cache at the moment, as they might go missing.
[:(!] Isn't that horrible?

Enjoyed this cache with the grandchildren. Interesting place and good hiding place.Took Idol lanyard and Pukeko key ring. Left Soldier puzzle and Egg timer. Thanks for the cache.
Zebedy children - Sarah found this one while out with grandparents[Billhillies]. They really enjoyed the park. Thanks from the three of them.
I've placed a new box and log book at the same site and I've retrieved the old log book. Very interesting reading the old log book.
Found the broken cache using a printout from before it broke so we didn't realize it was "disabled." Everything is still there; was a moderately hard find. TFTC

Greetings from the Northwest Territories of Canada. Found what was left of the cache (logbook and lid) plus broken bits. Was going to place a travel bug from Canada but.... Great site though, found by my brother who was introduced to geocaching today. Thanks
Caching our way through NZ we stopped off to grab this one. Located the cache without any difficulties, but the container is in pieces. Only the lid left and log book. Great Park! The Stomper kids had a blast! Visiting NZ from Richfield, Utah. Thanks for the fun! Bean Stompers
Thanks for the update. I will try and perform cache repairs on the weekend 9/10 Dec.
found what was left of the cache today
muggles have raided it ,the box has been smashed and everything has been taken except the logbook with is still in its bag and ok,ive placed the log in what i think was the right spot with the reminace of the box,
i hate it when this happens, just puts a dampener on the fun
anyway nice place for a cache

Light rain so not too many muggles about. Found it after about 5 mins of searching.

Wow - there were a lot of people here today. It was the Upper Hutt Highland fling or similar. Luckily GZ didn't have too many people around it and I was able to find the cache and log it without being seen. No exchange made. There is a street somewhere round here where the fault runs down the middle of the road, and the houses have purposely been built on either side of the fault. Cheers Gav [642]
This was stop no. 1 on a circuit of the Hutt Valley.
It was raining lightly but not enough to stop muggles and workmen from causing me some minor problems. Then an easy find with the concealing items built into what was almost a beacon. I replaced them in a little less obvious fashion.
An interesting spot which I will visit again when the weather is kinder.

Lovely park, we could imagine a number of cinematographic locations but could not agree exactly where. Took us a little while to find this one but enjoyed the uplifting history lesson along the way, and the flying fox at the end. Thanks for showing us another slice of you lovely country. +pen -nil
Great day, had to use clue. Birds were singing and the sun was shining in the greatest country on earth. A tui flew right by us, also fantails. Possum control must be working. Thanks for the find.
We stood no chance fo looking for the cache, we found the spot no problem but there was a concert of some description in the park, muggles galore.
Fantastic playground for the kids (big and small)
We will be back another day, perhaps when it's raining

We wish we could have found all the caches in the area, but ran out of time. More to find next time! HAD to go and find a Chaucey cache seeing we were up from Christchurch to go to her WEDDING. (She looked like a princess). Easy find. Great spot. I used to come here a lot when I (Liz) lived in Silverstream, but never knew any of the earthquake history. Left golfing alien, took green smiley man.

A very interesting park but unfortunatley a very wet park today so we didn't stay long. TNLN. Greg and Bev
Our kids always love a playground, Mr. Cyberchaser was interested in the tectonic aspect and the LOTR setting, and Mrs. Cyberchaser found the cache, so the whole family was happy! We TN and left a Canada beltclip. Thanks!
Can't believe how long it has taken us to visit this cache as it so close to home! Co-ords were spot on.

Quite a busy park, but no one around the cache area.
GPS led us to 10m from cache but bang on co-ordinates. Checked area after decrypting clue and found it easily.
Not sure if our GPS was playing, maybe next cacher can check?? (any excuse to upgrade the GPS12 brick!!)
- nothing
+ blue mini sewing kit
Lovelyday, but a little hot in the high 20's!
Cheers

Our first find for the day. Another lovely spot that we never knew existed. People were still doing some interesting stone sculptures. Grandaughter (5) enjoyed the treasure hunt and play in the playground afterwards.

Good to have another excuse to visit a great park. They had a stone carving symposium on there today, very interesting. Little green man in, horse out.
Quite a busy little park, I think with some preparations for the forthcoming Jousting tournament in Upper Hutt. Found cache easily, safely located in the busy park.
Another easy find today, we were 2 for 2!
Lots of families out enjoying the good weather and public holiday. We contemplated getting in line for the flying fox, but decided to carry on to Staglands instead.
Took the Buzzy-Bee keyring
Left a Horse, Cow, and a Magic Wishing Stone.
