Found a couple of great spots for a cache at this beautiful beach however for the second time today only came away with green ant bites. Maybe a check is in order as the cache hasn't been found for some time.
Great little spot would never have known it was here. pretty, sheltered beach. TFTC
9:53:00 AM. After a night at the nearby free camp it was time to head south again. Drove as close as we could with our caravan and parked on the street. A beautiful morning for a walk and no one around. Better half made the find and the log was signed. Thanks stanwell for placing this cache.
Friday before holidays left early to do a few caches north of tsv.
Here I had the beach to myself, short walk to the hide. Good to find it as I had to skip the hidden picknick as ppl where camping just next to the coordinates.
Thanks for the cache

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there stanwell. We found your cache "Rocky's Cache" at 1:27:00 PM today.
This was our 3rd cache find in a caching run of 4 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9760.)
[Blue]
We are trying to log at least one cache every day, so we can add to our streak of "Most Consecutive Days Cached", which we started on New Years Day 2014.) Our intent today was to consume some large quantities of really yummy fish & chips from a nearby eatery. Eating, drinking, caching, than a stroll along a deserted beach. What a great way to spend a Friday afternoon.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape, but the listed trackables "Blue Ghost" (TBED72) & "DT Rally SS3 Geocoin" (TB1Q87W) are not in the cache, could stanwell (or each Trackable owner) please "Mark the Item as Missing" so they can be removed from the cache inventory. (This option is under Actions on the trackable's web page).
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Dropped Trackable: "Aussie the ID Travel Tags"
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

A great spot. It's been a few years since I've been through here and I'd forgotten how nice this little beach is. One of my favourites in the area for sure.
Easy find with fellow Geocacher. Lovely spot, spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the beach. TNLN, TFTC.
Beautiful spot......Fellow Geocachers Danandlil helped......JR Geo's helped each other and found it
Great spot! If you are into fishing... This is also a good spot for that ... TFTC
A ncie little spot and a pleasant walk along the deserted beach to grab this one. TFTC.
A great spot but watch out for the wasps nest, they hurt when they sting your eyelid!

A nice quick easy find at 9.10. What a nice secluded beach, great area. A place we would not have looked at if not for caching.

I was north of Townsville today so after work I thought I'd grab a few I'd missed the last time I was up here. The GPS had its own ideas of where to drive but I followed my instincts and found the beach access. Took a slightly harder way in then walked the beach to GZ which appeared at first to be up the cliff but I soon found it a bit lower down. A traditional TSV hide. The 'temporary' log is still doing its job. Signed and replaced with a bit more camo.
Thanks!

Camped overnight at Toomulla Beach free camp and before hitting the hiway, thought we'd checkout this cache. Great spot. Kids enjoyed collecting shells. Very peaceful! We love the size of the cache container! TFTC
Scrambling down a steep part to the beach paid off. The cache was exposed in open sight. After signing it was hidden back into a nearby corner under rocks. You can see it on the spoiler photo attached.
TFTC in a wonderful location. Thanks to Wazza & Kara for taking us here.

We were fortunate to have Walter (the human mountain goat) with us today.
We had focused too much on the word 'overlooking' in the cache desciption and had followed/created a path that was well elevated and overlooked the GZ.
It was Walter who lowered his elevation and sauntered off to retrieve the cache container.
With the log signed, Walter stayed at his lower level and we converged back at the vehicle before moving off to the next cache.
Thanks heaps Stanwell for this cache hide.

Found on the 2012 Tour de Eclipse. Cache found in the last place we looked. I left my swaps in the Pahero and I did not have anything of equal value in my pockets. Thanks for the cache guys, we love your work. Awesome location.
Found on the great Eclipse Trip of 2012 with Freddo.
A day of caching from Cairns to Ayr. A road trip with a chance to stretch the legs is a good thing.
Thanks to stanwell and clear skies from TeamAstro.

# 647 Student free day, so Champs took a day off work. Champs wanted to collect some caches that we were yet to get, but he monkeys wanted to go swimming. Easy. We'll do the Townsville North Beach's caches.
Next cache on the list for today was a short drive south to Toomulla. We parked up on the road and walked down to a lovely little beach. We scrambled up the rocks to claim the find, then back to the water for a swim.
Little monkey found the cache, and we claimed the two TB's and the Pathtag. Interestingly, neither of the TB's we found are the ones listed in there. Suggest cache owner mark them missing.

Loki has spent many weekends at this beach growing up, as family friends have a beach house pretty much in the next street over. It was an enjoyable stroll along the beach this afternoon and the cache was quickly found. Thanks stanwell.
Well the GPSr had me on a merry chase circling GZ, but eventually a quick chat with a local cacher had me pointing in the generally correct direction.
GZ found finally using the cacher nose and ignoring the GPSr for the final 10 metres. Coords had GZ 9 metres away, even after recalibrating and moving in from a different direction.
Cache had some water inside but, as per previous logs, the log was a sodden mess. It was in a plastic bag, but was not zip-locked shut. I dried the container out plus all the swaps and have placed a new temporary log, on Write-in-the-rain paper, in the cache, in a new zip-lock bag. Will dry the old log out during the week and replace next weekend (hopefully).

Enjoyed the walk with the kids. This cache was full of water and need some TLC. There are no tracables here ethere. TFTC
On our return home from our swimming trip to Rollinstone we thought we might like to visit 1 or 2 caches. Daisy's father regulary visits this location to go rock fishing from the other end of the beach from the cache. What great place to visit and great location for cache. TNLN ..
We did pick up a little blue fella that is pretty keen to visit some where rocky on the coast line.. So off to Tassie he goes..

Stopped at Toomulla beach for the night on the way to Cape York. New that this was one that I have sorted to do on the way. We went for a lovely walk up the beach. Tide was out so some was easy walking. Found the nice seculded beach and enjoyed a sit and chat on the rocks. Found the cache. Everything nice and dry and all safely tucked away. Took GC and Left GC. Despite the light rain it was an enjoyable walk to the cache.

TNLN TFTC. We wanted to exchange some Geocoins here as the record suggests that we would find some here. However, none were there. This suggest that someone has been here before us and not amended the records, or there have been some muggles here.
We pullled into this small village with the intent of finding the cache and then driving on to camp at Rollingstone but as we approached the closest point we realized it was going to be a bit tuff with the caravan in tow. We needed to get down onto the beach so we drove around looking for a beach access point - no we didnt see the ?boat ramp until after Ian had found the cache. Anyway, we ended up driving to the opposite end of town we were found a really lovely camping spot (48 hours allowed) on a fantastic shady park with toilets too! Sooooo.... at 9.30 am we took off down the beach on foot for a leisurely 1.3 klm walk to the cache. Upon return the spot still looked inviting so we set up the van and spent the rest of the day and night there!
Ian did the final find of the cache as our 13 year old Jack didnt really want to leave the water to go over the final hurdle of rocks and since I didnt want to have to carry him back they seemed like a good place to rest and enjoy the scenery.

This is one beautiful beach, Found easily with help. nice size container. We went all about this one the wrong way and headed for the top of the cliff. We batteled with the green ants, spiders, black ants and plants, we came to the top of the cliff and my GPS was saying 5/7 meters. We looked and looked until the decision was made that enough was enough and it was time to go. I was not going back through the scrub and decided to head down the cliff face. Two thirds of the way down the GPS said 3 meters, what did I do but cuss the GPS, but decided to check it out anyway and came up with the cache, boy did we feel silly. SL TNLN TFTC
Quick find after visiting Paluma. It's been a few years since I've stopped here. Not many people around, so it made the find nice and quick. TNLN.

This is why we do this. Great spot, extremely pretty. We will return with the Grandkids for a swim, Thank you.
Found at 10.20am GAFF1. When we arrived we were not sure that we could take the van right upto GZ, so we left it about 200 metres down the road - as it turned out we could have taken it to the boat ramp and with a bit of manoevering turn it around.
The beach was so inviting - as it was very humid and p-pprass was dripping in perspiration. It would take a long time to get used to this climate!
Thanks Stanwell & Lifted.

Holy heck, this one should have been a very easy find but one of the crew thought he was the Duke of York and took us up to the top of the hill before I had to take us right back down again.
We picked up Vikram the clown fish TB (578889) which was not listed as being here. Left a snake skin. Nice little spot.

Found on another business trip to Townsville .
After flying north I decided that I needed to get a claim just that bit further out .
I followed my GPSr which lead me along the parkland in front of the beach. Reading another log I knew that I could get closer after reading the previous logs.
I parked on the road close to the beach access area and had a pleasurable walk along the beach reading what the local kids had written in the sand. Almost missed the GZ.

This took me a little while. Went the easy way, but due to some error in the GPS found myself climbing to the top of the hill. Mrs Buggerwork (quietly lazing on beach below) starting laughing when I found myself walking back towards the dropoff to find I'd climbed the hill for nothing (not easy). Great little place. Some very good GC cards (must get myself some).. Good place to launch a small boat and some nice holiday accomodation near by. T. Little blue car L. pink lollypop

We luckily took the easy way to the Cache. What a lovely beach with no one around which is rare. Followed the GPS which led me to the Cache. Took Groundspeak volunteer GC and L toy car and a small pack of erasers. Thankyou for the cache really enjoyed this hide.
Note book only had a few pages left in it so I placed a full spare note book in the cache.

great spot but did it the hard way through the bush n down cliff fpound alright but wary of many snakeskins round, swapped groundspeak volunteer GC for sweet set of farm animal toys thanks.
Thought that maybee after cyclone hamish this one wouldn't be here, but surprise surprise - still there. Found after short search and think we picked the right time of day to go there.
We picked a really hot day to do this one and we decided to walk from the far side over the hill to get to it. The GPS was playing up something cronic (DaBuddMum had to take it from the boys so she could successfully ask it for directions) and the mozzies had a feast but we eventually found it in a really nice spot. TFTF. Left Pasture puzzle and game. Took "The captain Kirk Travel Bug" and "Tooter"- the other travel bug "Finland Geoicoin Down Under" was not home.
