It might still be there, but it eluded me today. Got very wet and muddy, searched high and low to no avail. There has been a small landslip right where the arrow kept pointing, hope it wasn't there. The bush is very thick and full of thorns, I'm still removing them hours later. It all equals fun, I'll be back better prepared next time.
Working in the area today so thought I would sneak down and have a look at what happened to this cache as it was a good hidding spot. Went to ground zero and there it was where I and others after me had left it. I don't know why this is off line as it is still in its original position and original container.
If you can't find it doesn't mean it isn't there.
Look a bit harder.
This cache needs to go back on line.

@^$% I hate fails. Got to GZ in a jiffy after making a shin deep wade. Finding the hide was a different matter - searched high and low, even used the phone-a-friend option - twice! . Ended up calling it quits after Junior lost half his body fluids to the masses of mozzies that insisted on being part of our hunt today! Will be back to try again soon.
Will need to look at the logs a bit closer. Two expresses visited whilst searching but to no avail... (originally logged as stepheneva)

Got it second time round. Definatly alot easier when its not wet and when you dont have a time limit. Gz was about 10m off for us today.

I have been here before but it was too cold to get wet (well that was my excuse anyway) and this time I came on a warm enough day. After getting my legs wet I soon had the cache. Top spot, I kept running into the brick wall looking for platform 9 3/4 but had no luck there, just a sore head.

A tough one cheeky frogs.
Approached from one side but ran into trains, blackberries and water.
Took new approach from different angle and met Krafty Charlie on their second visit but water had risen so after a great deal of looking finally found cache some 20 metres from GZ I had only walked over it 5 times.
Took necklace
Left Ironbark keyring
Thanks for the help Krafty Charlie, see you again some time.

we came very close to GZ but weren't very well equipped at the time...we will try a different approach next time.
Returned with what we thought would be the right equipment but alas the water was too high. Found the alternative route and after much searching with Ironbark we were finally able to write in the log that was located a good distance from what we thought was GZ.
Overall a great hiding spot

After coming in from the SW following a heap of rain, I returned with Tails, taking a different approach. We managed to avoid most of the blackberry bushes and the water, but it's not the easiest cache to get to! Left Chrysler TB. SL
Yay,

First we drove in to the NE and it looked like it would be on the other side. So we drove round to the SE. Got a lot closer but now it was back on the other side. Damn these birds. Make up your mind. No gumboots or waders so on to the next one.
Headed in from the East and managed to avoide getting my feet wet. I spent 30 minutes searching before I was down to one bird.
I rang Gringo, who confirmed I was on the correct bank. however another 15 minutes of searching sans birds still left me empty handed.
With the light fading for the afternoon I decided to come back again another time.

I was the bloke that 4GRLGB saw looking around. After a bit of blackberry and lantana bashing that was all for nothing (and not nessecary for finding the cache). I decided that I should not wade through the water in my work clothes too. I came back today and had the cache in my hands in a matter of minutes.
Thanks CF
my third CF cache this hour
I drove by on the east and noticed a bloke having a look so I went around to the south west and ade an approach, he was no where to be seen, I think he gave up. I forgot the gumboots so after delicately crossing into a massive patch of black berry so back across I went. further down stream it was shoes off and into the depths, now that was un expectedly cold. I think the most painful thing ever is stepping on black berry with bare feet. Anyway, onward to find the cache and many painful steps later and I had found it.
Took space blanket left bead necklace SL.
Thanks

I came I saw I didn't find. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. Anyway it looked like there had been some excavator working right on GZ maybe it had been covered over, but then again I didn't get my feet wet so I just may have missed it. Will try again soon I hope.
My first ever geocache, using a friend's old GPS with no instruction manual (never used one before), pretty happy about that. TNLN

Yes, we found it, what a treat for a first attempt. But I had to remove my shoes and socks to cross the water way, it was worth it. A few blackberry scratches, but no worries. I liked the goodies in the box, but had nothing to swap with, but will return and swap.
After several attempts to get close we hit GZ, looked a lot with no success.
We even had phone a friend option but did not use it,as the number has grown legs.

Hi all
After much searching....no luck!
There has been a lot of rain in the last 2 weeks, don't know if this affected cache.
Might try again... if found by another (I must just be blind)
Thanks cheekyfrogs

Well, I found it eventually, was not hard to actually find, just getting to it was no fun.
Could see no tb in there, but I may have missed it.
Swapped some mini clips for a compass caribiner.
What was amusing was my GPS had abreviated the name of this cache down to "HOGWARTSEX" I have no problems with sex, but not if it involves hogs or warts!
Cheers

After having not found it in March, then having met Cheekyfrogs at the Geocachers Picnic, I thought I'd give it a go again this trip.
With assistance of BigMickB and Pfil, we chose a different route to last time, mainly as the water was twice as deep as when I was there in March, and 100 times as murky (couldn't safely see the bottom), the cache was in hand this time, making up for disappointment following the wading exercise last trip.

HOGWARTS IS STILL IN SAME SPOT. Must be tidal one day with shoes and another with none. hint log tree bank top. Thanx to all the cachers who have wrote plesent coments in the log. SEEMS TO BE WELL ENJOYED BY GEO-KIDDIES. Remember the hints and have fun Cheekyfrogs....
This just isn't fun at all.
After wading across the creek (which apprehension was understandable... run off from Coke Oven tailings and the escarpment) the GPS was not being nice at all, not fixing on anywhere at all helpful.
With assistance at the Geocachers picnic on Sunday, I've now got a better indication of where it is, and will be back for an assault next time I'm in Wollongong. Apparently GPS signal is poor that side for most people that have been there.
Perhaps a more assistive clue could help... the clue that is here is one Captain Obvious came up with I'm sure!!! I'd also bump the terrain to 3.0.
Nice to meet Cheekyfrogs at the Picnic yesterday too.

I searched for this for a while, later I realised I must have had the original coords which were only a little different. I won't be back though, unfortunately I didn't find this the least enjoyable or interesting.
Gotta agree with Tangles on this one, just about every noxious weed known to man seems to thrive in this urban drain.

I was not prepared for the creek crossing. I wil have to come back and try this again another time.
Wonder if the local information centre knows about this location, surely it must be the diamond in the crown of Wollongong.
An interesting cache, we didn't have gumboots so the boys went across the railway.....nicely placed, well done
Lovely spot (just ask the geokid:) Some Mini-Muggles playing nearby in the creek not really interested in us. Nice spot to sit and fill in the log too. Hogwarts aplenty!
Took some waterbombs (very happy geokid) and left a compass/whistle thingy.
Thanx cheekyfrogs

Took the geokids for this one, and didn't they love it!, oh, and the caching was fun too. Whilst they kept themselves amused in the water I went in search of the prize, after a short look around, triumph!! Logged, then TNLN (geokiddie had left swap bag in the car.
Thanks Cheekyfrogs

Found after a brief search. Must have been a slow time of day for the HRA (Hogwarts Rail Authority), as only one train came by as I was looking. It appears I had exactly the same 'access' problems as all who went before me, but I found it in the end. An interesting method of camoflauge that I've not seen before. Left some kinda surprise toys, took nothing. Well done Cheekfrogs. Top work!
On my way home from a ride in the illawarra. Should have taken off my shoes, went the hard way, up and over. Found this one more by accident than stealth. Thanks for the hunt.
Just over from New Zealand for a conference and I decided to chance my arm at an Aussie cache. This cache was a bit of a challenge because I hadn't come equiped with the correct footwear, I managed to access the cache without too much fuss and I was able to follow some rat-shaped impressions in the grass. Thanks for a very enjoyable hunt.
Got another virgin cache tonight with The Rats. Took a little while to find in the dark. Heard at least 3 Hogwart's Expresses go by while we were looking for the cache.
Thanks CheekyFrogs.

Theres nothing like the cache owner telling you their first cache has been approved when you're all at SES for training. So The Rats and Odee went in hunt of a virgin - pretty rare in these parts in know.
We took on water but eventually found the cache in a very dark place. TNLN
Thanks Cheekyfrogs
