We just found this listing and realised that we found and signed the log for it back before we signed up for the website.
We found this cache (complete with broken lid) on a night hike with our scout group when we were investing some new members into our group. The container had a poem and parts of a log inside. We signed our all our names under the banner of the scout group in what was left of the log and left some of our group's badges for the next person to find before reconstructing the lid and moving on
Unfortunately, the next time we came up this way the lid pieces were scattered across the ground and all the contents had disappeared, as noted in some of the later logs.

disabling this cache, as i may not get to maintain it until after the hot weather.
We enjoyed the walk to this location and started searching around for the Hide.
It was very easy to see once your eyes were level with the Cache. The container is Damaged and Empty. We took a few photos of it and continued to explore the area

Found it but unfortunately looks like it’s been muggled. Container was empty but for a bit of fabric, no logbook in site, and it was sitting out in the open. A great location for a cache, though, and very much worth the trip down to see the glyphs.
Visited 27th May and had a very educational time after meeting a very kind local who acted as a well informed local tour guide for the area.
First visit had a quick look for the cache but got a bit heiroglifically disoriented and a daily DNF !!.
Came back the next day for another site visit and conducted a much besser search and had cache in hand quickly.
Special cache for us as our trip from Qld was especially to see the carvings.
Thanks Indiana Pesky

After a bit of Bush bashing because we turned too early. It was actually an easy find and a cool cache.
Went down with mrwhiskers76 yesterday, I never knew about this area until he mentioned it. Once we calculated, we made our way to the gz. Unfortunately upon arrival we noticed that the lid had been broken. We put the pieces back together and made our way back to the car. While we were there we made friends with a friendly brush turkey, he was quite curious about us and as following mrwhiskers76 around while we were look for that cahce! And once again we were also followed around by one of the big pesky horse flies!
Thank you for a great cache!
Thank you for a great cache!
This is one place I’ve always wanted to visit and I was finally in the area with some time to spare. We parked at the easy spot and walked down the fire trail until we got to gz. Upon arrival we marvelled at the ancient language before setting our sights on the task at hand. We got the numbers and set out searching for the tomb. It took us a while but just as we were leaving we peered into the tomb. Sadly some grave robbers have smashed open the sarcophagus and blundered all the treasure. It was still a great location to visit though and we enjoyed it, thank you!
Found with shaneo58 doing some around the Central Coast near Kariong Area, getting very nice during the day, only a couple of days into spring. It is a pitty the lid is damaged and the container inside is missing signed a peice of paper, but some TLC required. This is the 7th cache of 8 for today. Log signed and caches replaced as found. Found it with BillHill531.Found the Pharoah's tomb but alas grave robbers have damaged it. Love the rock formations and trees in this area. A fav for me. TFTC Indiana Pesky!.
We really enjoyed this awesome cache, and it's amazing location.
As I was approaching my 2000th cache, it was suggested that I make this cache my 2000th find.
TFTC, and a Fave Point for this great cache (out of Fave Points atm, will award FP as soon I have one)

Found him after a search, but our coordinates were off. Someone has disturbed and unleashed the pharoah!
The ancient king was protected today by a squadron of mozzies, so I had to move quickly. There were lots of tadpoles in nearby pools - maybe when they grow into frogs they can do something to reduce the mozzie population.
Excellent container! Thanks for looking after the cache.

We visited here again today to show the area for a friend who had never been here before to we decided to examine the new container, unfortunately the lid has been damaged but it still looks great and fits in well. It is great to see that the hieroglyphs have not been damaged over the years.
Some amazing trees in the area.
Thanks for keeping the cache alive Pesky!

Wow. This one was spectacular. Did have a little trouble for awhile but unearthed the beauty eventually. Upon searching more in the area actually discovered another small cache which isn't on here. So if you search in the valley while chasing clues, you may come across this one too.

My last expedition in search of the lost pharaoh was almost 3 years ago, in Dec 2016. Asbestiform and I had spent an enjoyable day caching around Patonga when we made an unplanned detour on our way home. Unfortunately we left the area empty handed and it has been on my watch list ever since. I noticed several other keen explorers had a similar fate and am guessing that the tomb raiders did manage to get away with this one.
I was very happy to see that Indiana, aided by high priests and scribes has managed to return the pharaoh to his rightful resting place. So plans for another expedition were made with asbestiform to avenge our DNF. Digging out notes and sketches from our previous visit, we plotted the point on the map and agreed to meet up in the morning.
The location was just as awe-inspiring as I remembered and we set about to locate the pharaoh and his treasure. I zigged while asbestiform zagged and then I heard those magical words when he first got a glimpse into the tomb. After unearthing the find, we chiselled our marks into the new log and admired the craftsmanship and artwork that decorated the sarcophagus. Truly a magnificent treasure to accompany the amazing location and well worth a FP.
Work is under way to uncover the last secrets of the of the Pharaoh. Wish us luck!

Having previously failed to find the lost valley of the kings it was with some trepidation that I answered the call for another search for the lost tomb from Indiana Crash. The last hunt etched into memory like the garbled messages that adorn the narrow chasms of this remarkable site. This time our fortunes proved to hold true, the gods must be pleased today. With the sun at the right angle, we spied a glint of light that could only be one thing.
A careful excavation was mounted and the tomb uncovered. The lid was pried open releasing a hideous odour that stung our eyes and thus the mummy was released and invited to walk the earth once more. We looked over his ancient artefacts inside in awe, and once we had added our names we carefully invited the Pharaoh to return to his resting place and once he was inside we locked the lid and reconstructed his burial mound.
May he rest here for infinity to be woken only by explorers true of heart. Favourite!

Maintenance completed, there is a physical cache in a new location, not far from the posted coords.
please replace all camo as found, and Never remove the crypt or contents for fear of the Mummy's curse.

I'm placing this on the top of my priority repair/replace list.
I cannot get to this location for another three or four days but will be repairing the site next weekend.
So you can expect an owner maintenance log by August 1st.

I've known this one has been off the grid for a while. I 'll check it out in the next few days, and replace the cache. probably update the coordinates too as there was quite a cache trail last time I visited. stay tuned for an update this week.
A fantastic walk up behind my daughter's house onto the ridge to find the hyragliphs. Even more amazing views and an intriguing site. Didn't find the cache though. I might give it another try next time I am over from the UK if it has been found in the meantime.
Had a great walk, awesome views of Brisbane water up on the rocks above the glyphs but no luck finding the cache. Will head back another time, with mosquito repellent. Cheers
After another very long search, I again have to admit defeat.
If a new cacher, jessyanneldridge, can find it, surely I can.....
I checked my workings and made sure I have the correct heiroglyphs and the right co-ords, but after an hour and a half of searching everywhere again, I am smiley-less.
I might need some help with this.
Another day......

Great spot, which more than made up for the DNF. The photos where not coming up on the site when we needed to work out the code.
Anyway used the Geomonkeys photos to find the same locations and assume that's where the cache use to be.
Worth it for the hieroglyphs and hunt and the mother tree

What a disappointment!!
I haven't cached for a while, and todaay I thought I should get off my bum and staart again.
This is one of those caches that have been on my radar for quite some time, so I thought it appropriate that it would be the one to get me enthused again.
After walking in from Woy Woy road, going past the odd but magnificent tree, I reached the listed co-ords. Nothing there!
Having a bit of knowledge about the cache, I wandered up the hill and around the rocks until I found the wall and the glyphs and then the tunnel.
I couldn't not have a look down there! I crawled down the short shaft and then contorted myself to fit in the tunnel. Not much there.
Back outside, I found the appropriate glyphs, ambled over to the the new co-ords, only to find nothing! I wandered around and looked and felt and crawled in all sorts of places for over an hour before admitting defeat. Bugger.
Back home, I looked at previous logs, and I was sort of pleased that the last two hunters, experinced 'cachers, couldn't find it either. So I didn't feel quite such a failure!
After looking at photos in the gallery, I'm pretty sure I was in the right spot. Just couldn't claim a smiley>

This DNF capped a great days walking with Crash2079.
Managed to initially miss the hieroglyphs but after backtracking made the discovery, Amazing!!! We deciphered the ancient runes and came up with some sensible numbers. Headed down and around, and around and in, and out, and up and down, and repeated this for a quite while until, with diminished phone battery resorted to PAF. With new intel we re-visited a spot we had both been in before, this time getting in much deeper and looking much harder than we did before, but we both came up empty handed.
Based on the quality of the info we think its probably gone the way of many a mummy in the past and either turned to dust or been stolen by some tomb robbers. Perhaps a check is on order? Thanks for the awesome spot.

Had a great day caching with asbestiform around the Patonga area. Our main targets were the BFJ caches but we agreed we had time for one more on the way home. This is another one of those times where geoCaching takes you somewhere totally unexpected.
About half way to GZ, I realised that I'd left my iPhone in the car but with asbestiform's GPS and mobile, we figured we had our bases covered. We missed the hidden valley initially and had to retrace our steps before being transported back to another time or is that place or both. I'm sure this must have been the location of an ancient stargate.
Having decoded the secret message with the aid of a Rosetta stone, we set off in search of treasure. But after an extensive and exhausting search, we feel that a tomb robber has beaten us to the prize. Not even a PAF could change our luck and when the phone battery ran out, we felt it was a sign to call it a day. Fingers crossed that this ancient artefact has not ended up in some private collection.

Finally found it! Woo! I swear on my life that last time I was here I looked exactly where the GC was and it wasn't there! But today, there it is! shaunerlo found this in no time flat. He's officially converted to GCing now.
Glyphs are amazing and I loved the little puzzle we had to solve.
Coords were a bit off but then I'm using my phone so that might have something to of with it.
Explore the area guys! It's sooo cool! Tunnels and caves all through the rocks!

Reperio at 1045 in the company of The Garbageman and Mighty Minions.
The day was organised to head out and find this one, so we gathered up the troops and off we set. After arriving at GZ, we were a little perplexed as to why this cache is listed as a traditional since there is no cache at GZ, or that the required information to find the cache is located elsewhere. Fortunately we had a good guide in the Minions who had been here before, and hinted that we needed to be much further away to find what we needed. We arrived at WP1 (which is absurd to be saying for a traditional cache), and were quite amazed by the glyphs. Not only the workmanship gone into it, but the number of them was much greater than I was expecting. You can certainly see why people got excited about them when they were first reported about. The garbageman had the notes in hand, and so after some quick deciphering, it was off to GZ where the cache was soon found as it's head was sticking out a bit. This was a fantastic cache (other than the offset WP's), and we had a great time completing it.
Gratias GeoMonkeys.

There's so much about this cache experience that I really liked and yet so much that was very frustrating. 120m away from listed location for the artefacts surely makes this something other than a traditional - not to mention the puzzle solving (which don't get me wrong - I did enjoy). The artefacts are awesome and we all loved coming here. I just think the descriptions and ratings are a bit off. TNLN TFTC
Well no time like the present to fix up a cache.
I needed the exercise too.
found the container in almost the right location, previous finder had re hidden it fairly well. it was only a meter from the original GZ, thankfully.
so added a new log book, and returned cache to its original hiding place from so many years ago.
Cache is good to go again. enjoy.

I have had reports that this cache has suffered from cache creep, and is now exposed to the elements and
out in plain view. I will need to attend to this ASAP. possibly replace the container etc.
so please, if you search for this one in the next day or so, put it under a rock ledge or some where and send me the new co-ords. but until it have cleared the Disabled, you may not find a final cache in the co-ords the puzzle results give you.

Exposed in wrong position - I think
No log - will send details to CO re location
Covered up but pretty obvious at the moment so you could still find easily if following the path.

Got to the cartouch as sun ebbing
A quick look at where I thought it indicated but then a couple turn up!
May be cachers but had to get home so didn't stop for a chat.

Found after some extensive searching, co-ords for us were around 20m uphill from where we were - stumbled on the cache as we looked in the usual hidey holes. Left key trackable, took fireman trackable T4TC

Brilliant! Never been there! Thanks GeoMonkeys
After the finding, I kept walking until sighting Tascott from above. Beautiful! Spotted one Echidna & 2 Wallabies on the way! And of course plenty of birds!

Found it and dropped off Froggy.
We've been to the hieroglyphs before so we knew where we were going there.
Found the missing bits and then stumbled around for five minutes before finding
the cache
Thanks GeoMonkeys.

Loved this rock formation, very 'Picnic at Hanging Rock'. Went with a guide (thanks) but the moment of awe was short lived as a phone call from school required me to come and pick up and injured child.
No longer a muggle!
Had never even heard of geocaching until stumbling on this "find" while checking out the kariong "glyphs'!
Someone I had met earlier on the walk had mentioned this, and amazingly just happen to walk past.
I am now hooked and will return to this one to swap a trinket and complete the logbook!

Came up here with Rharzwor, as a bit of a guide. She gave me a little hand, and I soon had the cache. Thanks a lot for the cache!
Thought we would attempt this today, followed the trail and when cords where found turned I to bush saw some signs that lead us in want we hoped was the right direction, by chance we stumbled the cache . Loved this hunt TFTC
This was a lovely walk. Looked at photos which help once we got on the right track. Geo sister and geo kids went climbing and I went around a bit further and had CIH. Waited till they had come back down to open. Took TB. Put an earth TB in.
This was one of the first caches I looked at when I started caching, and had it flagged to do right from the start as I knew the area very well, It being one of our favourite bushwalks in the area. Eventually I had left it on the to-do list for so long I had it pegged for my 100th find, but the 'someone forced me to do' another cache when the time was right, leaving this one still waiting patiently on the sideboard....but I decided it needed to be done, and today was the day.
I brought geo-dad (Opa-Bob) and the geo-kids for the hunt....an eSy walk down the track we have travelled many times before, the geo-kids lead the way to the 'Grandmother Tree' (the huge leaning gum below the temple) to give it a hug and make a wish, before we continued up to the heirolglyphs...all very straight forward when you've been here before....near the entrance we came upon a couple of muggle teenagers, likely to have jigged school for the day, and seemingly annoyed by our presence and friendly hello's as we passed by.
I lead the way into the temple - OpaBob hesitated til I told him it opens up (the entrance looks much smaller than it actually is) - in no time at all I confirmed the coordinates I had from my pre-research were correct, and we headed through and out the other side.
Having also read the manual, I had a pretty clear idea about where we would locate the cache, and heading towards the coordinates I happened to look in the right spot at the right time and noticed the container
Directing the geo-kids to retrieve it, they enjoyed the SWAG....Geokid-5 was very excited to have found some "canteen money"...we left a TB that likes to skate (not much to skate about here, but he's difficult to fit in the smaller caches found at skate parks!)

I got a text from geo-daughter, Mumma-Kel, this morning asking if I wanted to go on a walk after school with her and the geo-kids to find the lost pharoah. Naturally, I said yes, and when I realised that Kel had intended to make this her 100th find (until another option came up) I thought, wow it could be my 50th! One problem ... I only had 47 at that point, so my pre-mission mission was to collect 2 more, which I was able to do, before picking up the girls from school at 3pm.
I was surprised to see the cache listed as a traditional since a puzzle needed to be solved to identify the final cache location. It didn't matter to me though as Kel had already done all her homework (having previously hiked in the area) in readiness for a final cache run. So we were able to head straight for the temple (where I was able to admire someone's ingenuity and hieroglyphic skills) and then down to the cache location. On the way, we kept an eye out for some SPOR or another tell-tale sign of a cache, and just as well we did. While I performed logging duties, the geo-kids enjoyed rummaging through the treasure and swapping the SWAG items they brought for something new. Rather than returning via the temple, we then made our way downwards back to the main track along geo-trails.
A very enjoyable afternoon bush walk with the kids to find the resting place of the Lost Pharoah was had ... what a great way to celebrate one's 50th find! Thanks Pesky and Mumma-Kel.

Picked up the grape Geocoin, woke the Pharaoh in the process of writing in the log book... He's a bit angry, sorry guys! TFTC
I had already planned to go visit these engravings with a (muggle) friend "C" today, so was quite happy to realise there was an associated cache. I let my friend take us to the 'temple' which I found quite interesting and in a lovely location with lots of boulders and routes to explore. I hope this local oddity encourages others to come out bushwalking! The photos of someone going through the nearby tunnel are a bit misleading - the cache is not there. We found the puzzle very easy, although this cache should perhaps not be listed as a traditional?
My friend found we cache first, noting the SPOR. I took the little (Olympics 2000?) toy, and left a Batman figure, a grape Geocoin, and some small toys. Signed log - for the record there was myself, my son, C and his son "T" in attendance.
An enjoyable adventure today, as well as the cache we saw a large Lace Monitor and found a small building remnant. Thanks for another great cache GeoMonkeys!

Second time lucky!
Encountered a large dog on the path out there who wasn't to impressed to see us, we armed ourselves with a large stick and walked on through. Him keeping a close eye on us the whole way.
The GPS had us doing circles for a while, but I was sure my code cracking was correct. Turned out the GPS was right and it was the clue "go uphill" that was throwing us off. From the hieroglyphs the cache is actually downhill!
After signing the log book and returning the cache we started the walk out of there and found a very interesting tree along the way, with loads of deep scratch marks in it from the ground until about 2 meters up, with bark 'saw-dust' all around the tree...could this be the elusive Kariong Black Panther?
Enjoyed finding this one!

Sad to log a DNF for the day.
Rode out on the mountain bikes in the rain. Found the hieroglyphs, but we were soggy and so were the clues
Think I have worked out the puzzle now, so will return!

I visited this location about 16 years ago on a guided walk but afterwards could never remember where it was. An amazing spot and a great hide. Found with Muggless. TFTC.
What an amazing geocache! Who knows if these are real or not but it was still amazing to come out here. Thank you so much for hiding this geocache.
What a great place! Have heard about it before and have read about it but was never sure exactly how to get there. Thanks for the experience! I took my old man to show him the site also. We spent over an hour looking for the gc, it is not in the exact coords that you work out from the clue but I guess you just have to go searching! Lots of great tunnels, crooks and crevices to search!
TNLN TFTC will give favourite points! Cheers!

I had heard about the glyphs a few years ago and had always wanted to see them. Having only recently gotten into geocaching I found out there was a cache there. After a little research I planned my way into the site. The glyphs were amazing. Clever puzzle which was easily solved with new coords entered. The cache is not at exact location of new coords but from reading previous logs I found the cache further back up towards the glyphs. Abit of t he camouflage was worn away which gave away its location. TFTC our favourite one to date.
For Fathers' Day we headed over to this area and this cache was a main target as geodad had researched it earlier.
We took the wrong path in (take Bambara rd which is a fire trail) and so after a lovely walk had to bush bash through the bush until we found ourselves too high, so bushbashed down and around the the coordinates.
Once at the coordinates we realised the hieroglyphs weren't actually there so had to research where they were since we took the wrong path so the instructions made no sense for us.
We loved the hieroglyphs and spent some time admiring them. We decoded where the final was and set off there.
After quite a search geodad came up with the goods which was quite fitting. The cache was 12-20 metres out from the coordinates by my GPSr but I don't know.
Took out cache trash (CITO) and recamoed a lot better than how it was hidden.
Thanks for a great cache that let us discover this great place GeoMonkeys, here's a favourite

How many people just searched the area to find the cashe?
Congrats to the code breakers. Could you please provide some hints to narrow down the options.
The first 'cartouch', I used had 4 images. Thats 16 possible combinations of GPS coords. There's something like 5 cartouch's so ... 80 combos ??? After trying 5 GPS coords that put up flags both near and far I gave up and did what I imagine most people do. Searched left and right along the rock wall. Limited time put an end to the search so no luck.
FYI: Some of the photo's and their labels are red herrings. EG: There is no tunnel.
I enjoyed visiting the hieroglyphics and unique rock features.
But ... I was frustrated with the decoding instructions (or my interpretation of them) and the DNF.

The cache was filled with water and the logbook was wet so we couldn't sign it. Met a couple of muggles looking for the carvings and pointed them in the right direction.
I was saving this cache for my 50th and it did not disappoint - the best I have found by a long way TFTC

Thank you for putting this Cache in such a interesting place my geochildren and I were amazed by the markings on the wall.Someone went to an awful lot of trouble to do those. The log book is really wet as were all the contents of the cache.TFTH TNLN
Great Cache, Will have to give this one a Fav point. Great walk in from Woy Woy Road the GeoDawg taking every opportunity for a splash in the numerous pools of water and mud along the track
Found the hieroglyphs WOW quickly decoded the glyphs and moved on to the GZ rewarded with a glimpse of something well hidden, Log signed and then explored the area.TFTC

This cache has been on my to do list since I started cacheing. Every time I visit the parents at Narara I think of stealing some time to grab it! Today was the day finally. After setting off from Woy Woy road with my muggle brother (who by the way has now signed up, and has 20 or so in a day or two!). The anticipation was killing us so we started a bit of a canter and were at GZ within 15-20 minutes. He was recalling the days when he was young and stupid, rallying cars up around here and knew the tracks well.
Once at GZ we were looking around for something to do. We looked up and saw the escarpment, so headed up there. Once closer to the glyphs we had a good look around and were soon at WPT1. We were a bit deceived by the cache page photo but soon clicked what was going on.
We took our time climbing around before moving to the final WPT.
This took a little bit of finding and re-read some of the logs and realised we should back track a bit. We found it about 15m closer to the glyphs. I'll email the owner some new co-ordinates but the first spot is a must so won't post them here.
This one is quite memorable, that's for sure. Thanks Pesky!!!

Had read this one a few times back when I started caching, but never ventured to find it. Now that I have come back to caching I knew I had to go for a look, as I have read a little on the gliffs that are out here.
So last night had a good read through the description, and took a pic (on the oregon 550 GPS) of both the pics needed to solve the puzzle.
Had a nice stroll toward where GZ was taking in the scenery along the way. Once at GZ found the 2 gliffs needed to solve the puzzle, input the new cords, then after a bit of a look around and a lot of happy snaps, it was of to find the cache. Once at cords of GZ I had a good look around, but found nothing. Assuming I had somehow worked out the puzzle wrong I started on my way back to the gliffs. On the way back out of the corner of my eye, I spotted something a little different to its surroundings, and a bit of colour that I would not expect to see where it was (due to some of its camo wearing off). The cache was found, and a smile was had. Signed the log and had a quick look at its bounty, then headed back to the car.
Enjoyed finding this cache, bringing me once again to somewhere I probably would never have gone to.
Thanks GeoMonkeys for a terific cache.
Took TB to move on.

It's been a few years now since I've visited this, what I know as the Oz-Egyptian Enigma. My first visit here found the carvings almost invisible really, today I have found them mostly re-etched withe much deeper scratchings, and to be honest its an improvement. The chasm wall is nicely aged with moss and lichen, very natural.
I began today's adventure approximately 90mins away by foot at Penang St, Point Clare., at the top of which you will find a concrete staircase trailhead leading to some slightly obscured but incredible views. Take your time exploring here.
Several caves can be found along the trail, I didn't see much wildlife apart from small skinks and Magpies. One thing I really missed seeing was the red and yellow tailed Black Cockatoo's, I love their antics and inquisitive nature.
The trail itself is fairly easy walking apart from two quite steep sections around half way at Corumbine creek which reminded me a little of Somersby Falls, and it was great to see the rock pools full of Tadpoles ! Despite the large hills, the trails are good for MTN Bikes.
Approaching the cache GZ I remembered my previous wanderings years back, there's some great aboriginal carvings in this area, and even some old dwelling remains. I'm a little late visiting to see the better wild flowers though, and it was good to see the old car wrecks were mostly gone.
Before returning along the trails, the puzzle was solved and cache hunted down with just a few circles, great camo BTW, I actually peered straight over it on approach to GZ, then returned to find it, well done Pesky, bloody well done FAV awarded. I took way too long returning to this area to find this cache, but now in reflection it was well worth it.
Left some swag and a Travel Bug for the next adventurer.

Found 5:30 PM with AuroraEve and SkyPirate- TFTC Been wanting to do this for ages finally got to do it as part of an attempt to go for a longer streak. Also lived in the area for over 25 years and haven't seen it so it had to be done. Finding the right spot was interesting we came across another group (non cachers). Then finding the temple carvings Skypirate matched the picture but working out what the coords were though I didn't quite figure it out right at first so we almost went looking in the wrong area. On further reflection figured out what must be, then headed to the right spot. But then it was dark and trying to find it with faulty led lights was a chore. The GPS first took us past where it was and then in another direction by about 5m but sharp eye AuroraEve spotted it and log was soon signed. We left contents pretty much as they were, the mini hole punch I considered. AuroraEve wanted the magnetic smiley and swapped it for a toy figurine.
