Caching in and around the Sunny Corner area, we picked up a few caches with Whitewebbs and this was one of them.
An easy find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Came up here with "Team Tizzana" and despite the prrivate property sign, we felt it more important to locate the cache and three trigs beyond the warning.
We are staying at Watton Airstrip for a few days. As part of a package, our hosts took us on a tour around the area, which involved some concentration in driving, coping with blinding dust, and even more blinding sun. A good day was had by all. We also introduced our host to geo-caching (caching name Watton Airstrip).
Unfortunately, austpark dropped his GPS here& Watton Airstrip kindly went back and retrieved it for me. Many thanks WA. He could drive the roads faster than I.
This is one place that was visited - an awsome place - worth a favourite. TFTC

Mudgee trip for The Road Less Traveled series. Day 2. Bumeroo Ford to Sofala via lots of back roads and Kelso. The take off ramp looks impressive, but no one here to use it today, just me grabbing a cache and a few trigs.
Thanks.

Well what an adventure this cache turned out to be. I had this one on my list of AUSmer caches to find while driving home traveling solo from holidays in Mooloolaba to Ballarat. I read the previous logs about being cautious on the stony road approaching the GZ and i also walked the last 150m or so through the bush. But i was also a bit concerned about the Private Property signs at the final approach. But i found the cache quickly, made my mark in the logbook and admired the slightly overgrown view from the top of the hill. Getting back to my geomobile i cautiously made my way back down to the end of that horrible road (that in places i think i could have walked faster) when i heard that most horrible of hissing sounds coming from the rear tyre.
Step 1. I moved over to the side of the road so i could change it and after removing the flat then found the useless bottle jack supplied by the Mitsi factory didn't lift the Pajero high enough to put on the spare! Got annoyed
Step 2. Tried lowering it onto the rim with the flat to relocate the jack but then the jack got stuck and i couldn't get it out. Got really annoyed
Step 3. Pump the jack again and try digging the ground under the hub to give me some clearance for the tyre but could only get 1 or 2 inches of dirt out before hitting solid rock! Now I'm getting nervous!
Step 4. Get the phone out. ..great, no service. Try the uhf...nobody. try the uhf emergency channel. ..nothing. walk around a bit to get a signal. ..still nothing! Mildly panicking!
Step 5. Have to resort to ringing 000 and the call centre can't hear me either so they patch me through to Police command in Sydney where i can finally hear a voice on the other end to pass on my details. So far I've been stuck about 45 minutes.
After letting her know my location and that i have food and water she says they will send someone out asap.
Approximately 1 hour later and after only seeing one other vehicle in that time who was rushing out to pick up a motorcyclist who had fallen and broken his wrist, two officers from Bathurst police arrive and we decide to try their small jack on the vehicle and see if that works.
With my great delight that jack is successful and in another few minutes i have my spare tyre fitted at last! I pass on my sincerest thanks and they say i can get onto the highway following them down the road they came in on. Turns out that road was almost as bad as the one i got the flat tyre on so I'm absolutely packing it that I'll get another flat as the officers have long gone by now . I finally make it to the highway after over 2 and half hours to find a cache that's only about 6 or 7 ks off the highway!
Thx Scenic Routers for an experience to remember for all the wrong reasons. I'll have to give it a favorite as I'll never forget this cache. And thx to the NSW emergency response and Bathurst Police too!

#4295- Driving out here wasn't a walk in the park. It's a very stony road and being alone, I was conscious of watching out for jagged rocks and roos who wanted to jump in front of me. I parked the car on the main track just as 3 BMX riders flew past the car. I followed the track and then got a bit impatient and headed off cross country. A 440 m stroll for a nice easy, well hidden find at the end. I stayed to the track on the way back. The car GPS didn't like the tracks- i temporarily got a bit lost getting out. Thanks Scenic Routers.
Container was empty some we put a new log in and a few little knick knacks. Great little spot
After some rough roads and unlicensed bikes I was at the lovely GZ for a double find with the Trig!?!

Find No: 4867. Visiting from Newcastle, staying in Bathurst, enjoying immensely the variety of hides in the district, finishing off the TRLT series today together with some golden oldies on the way, thanks for the cache Scenic Routers!!
Found today with Whitemushroom who wanted to show me some great Trig Stations. This great location does deserve a cache..
Thanks for the great cache.
Thanks for the great cache.
All Strung Out's overwhelming urge - for other purposes - to stand aside a remote(ish) trig brought the 'mushroom out along the dusty pine forest tracks, passing many a snow-felled tree, and culminating in a short uphill walk, and then a grand view westward towards Bathurst but a hop step away.
Self-absorbed with the view, it was left to ASO to seek what proved to be a well-stocked swappables laden cache ... and who issued a 'past the tree' instructions for its return. Cache was in good order and replaced where 'indicated'. Great location Scenic Routers - not sure about the Run An Jump! ... with a run on that ramp one suspects a jump will come too late. TFTC

Could't resist a couple of caches in the bushes before heading back to our camp in Lithgow. This was the first, great views, didn't run and jump! The lid was off and the cache was wet - no TB here.
I like caches like this – I call them 2 for the price of I visit (a geo cache & a GCA Trig called Ovens South Yetholme,) found both A OK, the drive out was great & it was time to have lunch too, a top spot to have lunch. I don’t give favourites away too cheaply but this was a favourite with us on this short trip out West. TFTC / TFTH / SL
Went onto the other trig along this track called Ovens Yetholme, New South Wales which is a lot better than this 1.

An interesting drive in supreme Forrest, the cache is placed in a beautiful area seldom seen, access is quite easy for a non 4x4, road is in good condition.

After a delightful night out in the forest, camped under the stars, I was up bright and early for the short run to have another go at finding this cache
I got to see the views this time as well
My last visit was a DNF and a did not see, because of the snow falling from the fog

Out for a Sunday drive. Parked some way from GZ so that we could enjoy a forest walk. GPS had some problems under the trees, but soon had cache in hand. Loved the spot. TFTC.
Great view from gz, I resisted the urge to run an jump today, fluffy chicken in the cache has seen better days! Tftc
Decided to come bak and log on a calendar day when I needed a cache.
Still a great view!

Again, failed to see the obvious way in and walked across country. Nice walk and enjoyed finding a cache at the end. Great scenery. Thanks.
Renamed long walk and not enough air left to jump. The road would have been easier than cross country. But well worth the effort for the views and the cache - thanks.
Trecked across country when the road got bad but found it easier to walk back along the road. TFTC
Because we were in a 2WD, we stopped some way from the cache and trekked cross country to the final summit. It certainly gave my new knee a good workout!
We really enjoyed the spectacular view. TFTC Scenic routers.

Gathered fire wood on the way out. Thank you scenic routers.

A great place for a cache, the view is outstanding. Trees mess with GPS a little but once you see where its taking you, its once of the easiest I've done!
The Gps was unsure but a bit of local knowledge got us there, Low cloud and very misty, still some logging activity but clear to gz.
Went and checked the cache today and yes that is where the cache was place ! the wood cutters must have taken the original when the tree fell down, a late thanx for the replacement.
Great views, got a flat just after getting the cachge but still worth it! thanks.
Geokid 1 found after short search. This cache best left alone to August 2010 due to logging operations.
Exchanged electrical tape for Easter Chick.

I was determined to return to find this cache today and set up camp nearby, but forestry NSW had other ideas [:o]
This area is strictly, life threateningly, arrest and incarceration for a million years out of bounds [:o]
I did think of ignoring the signs, what with the geomobile looking like every 4WD the NSW forestry commission has bought in the last 3 years and it being way past knock off time, but hey!! I'm just too responsible
That puts me in about 1 percent of the population

Managed to get the rental within a few metres of the cache Great wee spot, enjoyed the group of caches up here. Cheers Gav [4281]
Found it! Dropped in on this one as I headed to Lithgow for a spot of mountain caching over the long weekend. It was very foggy even at 8:55 but the co-ords were spot on and the cache quickly in hand. TNLN SL TFTC.

Got to gz and there were the remains of what may have been the cache. I searched around and could find nothing else so I gathered up what there was and left things in a new container which I put in the one obvious spot.
It sure was cold up here this morning
I know it was cold because there was some funny frozen stuff falling from the sky and coating everything with a light glaze of ice
The cold didn't stop me searching for almost an hour for this little cache though
But in the end I left cacheless
It must be buried somewhere under the snow [:o]
Still good fun. The ski jump into the cloud was interesting too !!
I guess that when the sky is clear some mad buggers with hangliders strapped to themselves must throw themselves off the hill here

WOW, what a view. Did not realise how high we were. Went in the long way, but managed to wind our way right to it. Loved the spot. Thank you. Took allum key and left a candle.

We had wanted to do this one on a previous visit to the area but could not work out the right road. Today we were armed with the might of the topo map and found it without too much fuss. Drove the 2WD bloopy mobile to about 400m shy of the cache and walked the rest of the way. Fantabulous spot indeed and well worth the effort - thanks Scenic Routers!
We were up this way giving the geodogs a run and showing off the sights to muggle mum and thought we'd check on this one. Found cache in good condition - took TB to move on as it had been there a little while and also took cloth patch as we thought it was kinda cool.
I have been here before, when it was snowing a blizzard at midnight.Took playing cards, left cloth patch.
After not finding High Waves (re High Waves - I forgot to mention, there was a small deodorant spray at GZ - was than in the cache?), it was great to find another one up here.
There was certainly lots of jump around here! The kangaroos were everywhere! Drove right up to GZ - excellent spot! Decided against the run an jump today though (visibility was too poor). Easy find - nice hide, TNLN, thanks again Scenic routers.

Nice walk to fid it, and what a lovely view. Thanks. Left snake and took small photo frame
could not find and signs near the area saying no entry due to logging $2200 fine if busted
I can see my house from here, well almost. Think I'll leave the running & jumping to the experts.
Isn't this just a top spot. We've been here many times before and never tire of the view. Thanks Scenic Routers for the excuse to stop here again.

After admiring the nearby views (which are fantastic), we headed off in search of the cache. There was something discovered not quite right and, sure enough, there was the cache underneath. Again, a nice easy find. Thanks for the cache, and for showing us the views.
Wonderful area and view. Launching yourself off this shelf would certainly give anyone an adrenelin rush. Took soap and left Xmas decoration. Thanks Scenic Routers.

This was fun to find without a map!! Finally found the correct road, and thanks to the instructions we found the spot easily. Nice view, interesting location. The 1st lady had three attempts at swaps. First she left the swap in the cache!!! We got back to the car and didn't have Budah. The 2nd time she put Budah on the ground and placed the cache back in the hide before walking off, leaving the little man on the ground. Back at the car again, before realized. Went back and picked him up.

After negotiating the twisting dirt roads, which have fabulous views of pine trees in every direction you suddenly crest a ridge and smack dead in front of you is a trig.
But you look to the left after stopping the car and applying the handbrake and go awwww what a nice view.

We hadn’t been out caching for a few weeks and we didn’t think we would have any time to get anything done on the weekend of my grandparent’s 50th wedding anniversary. But alias we managed to squeeze in about all that my home town had to offer For all of you who haven’t had a chance to get out or in and around the Bathurst district I strongly recommend you take the time to do so...it’s one of the great inland settlements of Australia and will soon be full of caches placed by The TEAM BOOYA connection
Run and jump is one of my favourite views of the central west...you can definitely spend a lot of time with these views....especially just around sunset. Cheers Scenic routers for this great cache...you just beat me too it!!!

Got home on Friday arvo and had the kids screaming for something to do...so I punced in the co-ords of this puppy and loaded the pulsar without any knowledge of where I was going...
took some bad trail options (totally missed the good road going in). However, the little pulsar was up to the task bouncing along trails that would trip up a mountain goat with training wheels...anyway its the best view ive ever seen in Australia. (havent seen much yet)
swapped my "little Buda" for a really cool keyring torch..(too good to keep..ill pass it on to the next cache I find), wrote in the book and took some pics of the ruggies on their first cache!
* Watch the pics..they can be spoilers!

On a quick trip out to the Darkness, we stopped off here on the way up. Easy drive up to the cache, found in 30 seconds, excellent views.
There are many more logs in the log book than what is on here.
Took a ring watch and left some new army soldiers in a carry case.
An excellent cache!
