As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
We found the remains of a plastic container that looked like it might be a cache container half way up the waterfall.
Whoops.. I think someone in our group needs to update their GPS waypoints.. Yes, we had taken the difficult route..
Check the cache after 2 DNF and sadly it has been taken. it was just too shiny and big, not a trace was left. we will get this one back up and running again just as soon as we can build a new container.
Made my way down the short but steep way and located the falls. I searched all round the base and top of the falls without success. I did, however fins a likely hiding spot that was empty. Hopefully I just had a bad day, and the cache it right where it always was.
Went in throught the hard way, loved the 'walk throught cave" but when GZ loomed upon, the GPS lost signal altogether and made the job sooo much harder. Anyway, tried the clue but to no avail.
I will have to try again once some satellites decide to be friendly.

nothing better than finding a cache this big, and yes .....size does matter.. great area, great cache
Super find by Pat (first one) and JMCH. Lovely spot. Found on 2nd visit and via Troon Road entrance but no cave seen.
Took Heffalump Rabbit and left South Australian keyring and purple elephant. Signed log. Thanks for the cache.

Nice day for a bush walk. The slippery nature of the rocks made for a few very exciting near misses, almost landing in the water.
While taking the easy way back to some open space to do a GPS re-check, the cache was spotted. A highly rewarding find.

Somewhat belated log, but the Fimbles with both Fimblettes in tow went hunting for this one back in Dec 05 and found it on our 1st attempt.
This was a 1st ever cache and what a great spot ! (Also probably the closest to the cottage !)...
The Fimblettes quite excited about this one and keen for a second.

Was passing and had an hour to spare. Went in from Troon Place. Soon realised that the white chalk marks on the trail's rocks were leading down to the Falls - which was helpful. The GPSr couldn't get a decent signal down there. After a 20 minute search I ran out of time, and had to leave. Safety note: (1) as I left, a thunderstorm was brewing just upstream. Bet the surrounding heights and storm drains lead into this creek, so not a good place to be if it rains heavily (2) Don't go down solo. If you were immobilised (it's very slippery) your cell phone may not work.
Just a note to say this was not found on first attempt!
At last things were going a little better for us! Sydney is going totake a lifetime to explore.

Well the geokiddie insisted that we re-visit this one, so we did. This time from a different starting point. An enjoyable walk, quite wet underfoot after the recent rain and plenty of water in the waterfall. Left some silica-gel in with the log book to help keep the paper dry.

Entered the forest from the oval side and found our way down to GZ after taking a couple of wrong paths. Once on the correct path, it is generally quite an easy (and short) walk. It was starting to get dark by the time we reached GZ and there was absolutely no reception down in the valley. With luck, we managed to locate the cache in the gloom. Took EMC Race Car TB. Thanks Master Distillers.
Had to make a quick trip back to replace some cache goodies. We can now admit we forgot to take anything to exchange last time - oops...
Left a screwdriver set, padlock, EMC racer travel bug and a 'Hydroflare' cachecard.

This cache is in an oasis. My 2 kids and I started from the football oval - big mistake no.1. The sounds of my girl's, "I need some help..." are still ringing in my ears. "What's big mistake no.2?" We decided scaling back up the way we came would be even more stupid so we took the walking track. We came out on the wrong side of the forest. Our good friends drove us back to our car... To top it off, we are visiting them tomorrow evening! I will ensure the wine is good.
Second cache for the day and another successful cache discovery. Love the box....
The day was very overcast and with the terrain the way it was the GPS wasn't exactly working the best. But after a little hunting around I managed to find it.
Also found the cave too. but only on the way out, its a nice little squeeze.

Kookaburras welcomed us to the track which soon left behind any sign of city life winding down through spectacular bushland, over fallen trees to the treasure below. Took a few wrong turns but easily found the waterfall. Geoteens lept from mossy rock to mossy rock while Geodad searched the undergrowth but after quite a lengthy time Geomum came to the rescue. GPS was having trouble maintaining a signal under the cliff face. We didn't find the cave so must go back a different way.
Took the Travel Bug Landrover Discovery and left the Possum Travel Bug. Beautiful Spot.

Came in the short way. It was a great little walk with some wonderful features along the way. The cave was great!
Got to GZ and my GPS promptly died, or at least the batteries did. Searched around for about 20 mins or so then read the hint from my PDA. Found the cache shortly thereafter.
The cache container is a beauty, glad to see the art of the "foriegn order" is not dead yet.
Swapped the milk soap for a Winnie the Pooh "Rabbit" toy and dropped off the Best 4x4xQuarter TB
A great cache Master Distillers, well done!

Took the longer, easier track to this one, as we had dogs and a geokiddy in tow, and it was a very pleasant walk in, although we wished we'd seen the cave. Easy it was until within about 30m of the cache when it dropped down the hill, and the dogs had to wait at the top. The nimble geoteen reached GZ before the rest but stood hesitantly at the edge of the water gathering up the courage to make a mighty rockhopping leap. She gave up on this approach and found another way, but was beaten to the cache by geodad, who found it surprisingly quickly, with little help from the GPSr dangling from geoteen's wrist.

Found it!
It took some walking around in circles once at the falls but found it, very secure cache - and being our first find - it was quite exciting!

So much for the weather forecast, instead of strong winds and rain we had blue skies and a barmy 20 c. So leaving the wet weather gear behind we picked up a track, which wound its way down the perilous cliffs passing through a cave that was so black you could not see your hand behind your head. After doing an impersonation of Steve McQueen in the Great Escape, not the motor bike bit the earlier bit, we finally reach a sandy secluded beach in front of a towering waterfall who’s distant top was covered in low cloud. After finding what we had come for we did what we had to do before returning to which we had come.
Took CD.
Left CD with Nana Mouskouri singing Gilbert & Sullivan’s greatest hits.

Nice spot. Found it at 14:45 after a bit of searching on the slippery wet rocks. Tried the 'short cut' via the cave at first and got close but could not find a way through. Then attempted it from the track near the soccer field, eventually stumbling across the 'real' track from Beechworth Avenue.

Wow, this was a great geocache.... took the route to the cache via the cave which was cool. While it was sure a steep track, we took our kids and they loved it.
Great cache!!!
Great cache!!!
I parked at the Rover Den and walked in from there as I have been wanting to explore this track for a while. I had trouble with the Skygods once I got to GZ but managed to find it after about 10mins. I had a chuckle at the box - what else could I expect? I swapped the "spare keys" for a sticker and a CD of my own.
The fence is there because about ohhhhh 15- 20 years ago (its probably more cos it was way b4 my time) a local golf course dammed the end of the river. so for some unknown reason they fenced off the majority of the stream (so those theiving bushwacked yokels couldn't steal their precious water i'm sure). however we've both been playing at this site since we were wee youngin's and at other places along the stream and that fence is trampled down in a million places and has been for as long as i can remember. i don't think the golf course even knows the fence is there anymore. it really doesn't serve any purpose except to be annoying and spoil the view.
This was agreat walk but a shame the water fall wasn't running. (would have made getting the cache harder though.) Well hidden and a great container, the biggest I have seen, I hope one of mine grows up to be that big one day. Took nothing but put in two stickers and a Mouseball. 5.29pm Thanks Wiz
Very pleasant twilight walk into here. We slipped and slid around the rocks until Whizbang turned it up. It's a good trick to hide a large container like this. It's got to be one of the best cache containers I've seen. TNLN. Thanks Distillers.

My second last for this long day!
An easy walk in, perhaps 10-15 minutes at the most, no idea where the cave is, would have liked to of seen that, oh well.
We arrived at GZ and Wizbang, our ring-in from QLD showed us the goods. The container is one of the biggest I have seen recently so I hope it stays safe.
I had brought some suitable sized swaps for this one. I swapped out a brand new T-Shirt, black of course for the dominoes in a bears body.
Loved the location, would be an awesome sight after some serious rain. Why the fences to keep people out of the base of the waterfall though?

With fading light, no torch and rain I wasn't hopeful, but with a bit of luck I stumbled across the cache with seconds to spare of giving up
There's a split second when your foot starts to slip when you think "It's OK - it won't go in the creek," and then when your foot does go in the creek you think "Well that foot went in the creek, but the other foot won't go in," and then you think "D'oh! Both feet wet!"
I guess I should have checked the visual clue, as I think I was searching a little bit too far up from GZ.
Anyway, it was a good walk out from Pymble station, and when I finally found the track it was very clearly marked. I had a nice day out even if I didn't find the cache. (Yes - finally got around to logging it too.)

Great little spot for a cache. Nice and quiet in the middle of sydney. Easy find loved the area.

Didn't know from where to approach the cache location, but soon noticed we were on the way through the cave. Found the cache in good condition, left a necklace and some christmas candy, but took nothing.
This is probably te best box we've ever seen, and in an unexpectedly beautiful spot. We took the long way out and were surprised by the amount of bushland around (and by a fleeing gecko). Well done, this is worth a visit!

WOW! Sure is large! If you ever had a big swap to go, this is the place to take it. Excellent quality cache container...I hope it stays there. Would be nice if all finders make sure it is well concealed before leaving as I feel muggles pass by here frequently. Took an orange oil and left a swap. Thanks to the Master Distillers for this beauty.
