Quick stop by to retrieve Safari Sally and move her on as been sitting here awhile now. Cache was about half a cm full of water, we tipped it out but had nothing with us to dry contents or a bag to wrap it in as we hadn't come prepared, as mentioned was purely a "retrieval exercise" lol. Log book was dry though as that still safely wrapped In plastic bag.
Will need drying out, some contents replaced and a plastic bag or something to get it through the rest of winter.

Tried to find last night but ran out of light, got some nice sunset pics which I shall post later. Returned this morning for a quick find especially after reading all the logs. Cache contents are damp and has that lovely (not) musty damp smell about it but log book fine.
Took BluEyz 'Dear Little Stearman' TB and left Safari Sally TB to start her journey, pics to follow there too.
Magic spot and I have lived up in kala all my life, heck I was even born in the local hospital, despite driving past multiple times to take injured wildlife to kanyana wildlife hospital at the end of the street I had never really stopped to admire the view and didn't know there was actually a walk trail.
Thanks kiwi for the cache!
Team Cupcake Oz
PS Even enjoyed our usual Saturday morning coffee and a cupcake from the Cupcake shop sitting on the rocks enjoying the view and the fresh air.

Did this one in the pouring rain. Was man enough to brave the elements in pursuit of the cache. Unlike Flo who was a trifle worried about her hair!!!! Cheers guys. Left BluEyz travel bug, a nice plane which was appropriate as it looked down on the airport. Cheers guys.
I'm back but still DNF I looked all over new and old ground. What am I missing ????????
XC has been in Mundaring on business all week.. Today was about caching and getting to the airport to catch plane home to Auckland... Ooooh a Saff and Tiger cache.. I haven't done one of theirs for a while now..
Drove rental and parked nearby and walked down to GZ.. A DNF on last log had me worried but I soon spotted the hiding place.
Cache was just a little damp but ok. Hope you are well S&T.. Regards from XC and TK..

This didn't prove to be the quick and easy find we thought it would be. Had to widen our search to find the cache. We ended up very wet because we searched around the wet undergrowth in our endeavours to find the cache. Left Parents of Sam gc. Thanks saff & tiger for the cache - we enjoyed the views.
Find # 100. Cool view. First find for the new geopup, good training. Coords were a few metres off probably due to the terrain, so it was good training for Douglas, the new geopup, adn geoeyes. Yambo liked it too.

[Australian Branch] Not quite on co-ords so nearly gave up when we just found it by chance. Beautiful, beautiful area. TNLN.
Having read the previous logs, we were still a little surprised by how close this cache was to someone's home on the hillside. Mr GeoCadeau and Makko made the find at around 2:40pm while Mrs GeoCadeau stayed in the car with kiddo. We loved the view, but are thankful that our driveway is horizontal.

Must have been off my game today. The GPS was sending me to different places on every approach and no clues came to sight. Another time, maybe. Thanks anyway, good excuse to get out of the house.
Had no problems with this find, was about 6 meters off from my gps.

As with past lookers felt a little uncomfortable within close proximity of the nearby home & dog barking, but persisted anyway.Used the camera as a decoy(still used the camera as the place is picture perfect) Lots of water flowing & some slippery footfalls this time of year. Not a easy find . Thanks for the hunt.
Parked near the gate, walked down and searched, keeping an eye on the ever diminishing view as the thunder played non stop. Eventually the rain and hail arrived and drove us back to the car. Took a while to warm up again. Later saw the news about the weather in the city and we seemed to have got off lightly.
Took quite some time to get the car close to GZ - oops! and then wasn't sure if it was parkland or not [?] Took the plunge and checked with a passerby whilst "taking in the view" [8d] A bit wary of all the windows above and below and didn't look like finding the cache, until I spotted a telltale sign and found the cache about 8m away. The view and the location are definitely worthy of a cache [^] Swapped geocoins. Thanks Saff and Tiger FTC [:d]
Visiting from Melbourne.
We found 2006 Kiwi Geocoin - Japan 3 on a wooded slope above Kyoto and sought out this cache to mark its' Aussie arrival. It was a bit uncomfortable with houses closeby but I guess the Quenda Creek Reserve is for everybody. If only these important wildlife corridors were more common in our big cities. There were some lovely birds around including a large flock of beautiful vocal black cockatoos.

We searched around for a while and were feeling rather uncomfortable because the person in the nearby house sounded so close. Finally found it but must admit we were helped greatly by the co-ords and description from other log entries. Took Kiwi eraser and left a boomerang keyring. Also took a finder's card. Great view from where we parked the car. TFTH.
A quick dash in the rain whilst heading home after doing a few caches over towards Lesmurdie Falls. TNLN. TFTH.
This was our last cache for the night. I loved the views and all the pretty lights of the city, we have decided to come back to this one another time for a better look around. We had trouble finding the cache but this may have been because it was dark. We were also a bit worried about the muggles next door. Everything always sounds louder at night. But we had no problems with them. We finally found the cache as the torches were dying and the GPS was ready for new batteries also.

We felt very vulnerable so close to the house, especially when the dog came out barking it's head off. We hid in the bushes when its owner came out to investigate, told the dog off for barking and took it back inside. After that found after a bit of a search. TNLN TFTH.

What's all the problem with finding this cache? Apart from locking the hubs in on the wheelchair, it seemed fairly straight forward.

For our 700th gc.com cache, it seemed like the right time to finally get this cache that's only 750m from home (and has been since we moved here almost three years ago!)
We'd looked for it before, but Dak's coords and clue made it worth looking again, and it was soon found (after the usual uncomfortable feeling of intruding on the house very nearby) by MBL.
Now, just a couple of Aushiker's to go, then we need to borrow some ropes to get the nearest unfound cache, 10m up a cliff!

[#1 of 4 finds with Emu-M on our way back to the airport to fly home. We (finally) found this one at 1100. Like others before me, I had trouble finding it. GPS signals are variable, but like javamama, my GZ was pretty consistently at the large rocks. After about ten minutes, I retired to the car to read the logs. Don't you hate it when everyone is saying 'easy find', and you can't find it? [B)] I made a second assault, and found it almost straight away this time. My GPSr said 8m to go when I found it, but said 2m to go at one point. By the time I logged and replaced the cache, the GPSr said 7m to go. I recorded a set of coordinates (I wish more people would do that instead of just complaining that the coordinates are out), and I've attached them here. I didn't take the care I usually do, but at least they'll give future finders another reference point. Given that this is supposed to be difficulty one, and given that the coordinates are suspect, here is an encrypted hint:] behind a rock at the roots end of a fallen dead tree.[ I'd be happy to remove the hint, if the owner wishes. I made no exchange. Thanks to saff & tiger for the cache. Cheers, dak.]
Still there OK. Perhaps co-ords slightly out. If you go further in than you think you need to and then look back it's not too hard to find. TNLN
Awesome spot..Glad everyone likes my house, i had taken the dog for a walk so it was nice and quiet when i got there...Ring..Ring...Ring...Damn Alarm...was having such a nice dream too.
Found ok, after intentionally walking past what the GPS was telling was GZ, then backtracking until the Compass pointer swung again.
Took the TB and Perfume. Left Koala Fridge Magnet.
TFTC..A great spot.

Nice view. Dug around for a while in what we thought was an obvious (but wrong) spot. Finally located it. Our geo-kiddie took the "big cricket" and left something (some bangles and stuff I think). Thanks for the hunt.
Well this one didn't prove to be so easy for us or The Bibra Boys...GPS was all over the place and we looked everywhere that we thought was an obvious hiding spot and NOTHING...hope it hasnt been muggled since the last visit. Shame, it was fun trying to get to the right road and part of the hill as well as those views!

From now any cache with the comment "easy find" is treated with respect! We didnt have a clue! GPSr was swinging all over the place..so it was like a needle in a haystack. No probs though..it signalled an early (and thoroughly enjoyable) lunch!
Found this with my son (SharksXV) in February but am only registering now that I have my own signin. Thanks for the cache.

Visted with Virjohn. Found after a short search. Thanks, great location. Good array of of Kiwi momentos in this cache.
Finally tracked this one down - almost gave up but thought I would give it one more go and 'walah' there it was! TNLN TFTH
Went in search of this one with 'Plantpot' scouted around the co-ords at 3.30pm. Searched high and low but no sign of a cache. The muggles and canine beastie in the nearby house were starting to view us with some suspicion so we went on our way. What a great view. Will have another go at this one another time.
A straightforward & easy find if you approach from the right direction. An enjoyable spot to sit & log your visit.

[My hundredth cache, and what a well-stocked one, too.] We did wonder whether the run-off in the wettest parts of the year might wash it away though. [Took a couple of Kiwi necklaces, and left a couple, a replica Roman dolphin pendant from the Roman Villa at Crofton, and a Space Shuttle pendant from the Leicester Space Centre. TB MT#1 "Panter Blue" paid this cache a visit too. TFTC]
We thought this one would be quick and easy, but it beat us. Without a good street map it was a bit tricky to find the right road. Once we did, we thought the cache would be quickly in hand but we had no luck finding it. The gps was bouncing a bit but it seemed to point to some big rocks that looked like good hiding spots. We searched there then expanded the search area to include all the nearby trees, but we came up empty. Maybe it's the hot sun or that we skipped lunch?
Cache has been restocked with Kiwi goodies.

Not as easy as we thought! Lots of overgrown grass made this quite tricky until we eventually located cache about 6M away from the co-ords. Fantastic views all along this road...and that house is to die for!!

We were finding difficulty with this cache with the gps pointer being very sporadic at the best of times. LPN's log didn't help either. I had given up and was about to head back, when Kath gave a yell. It turned out that she'd found the cache - not tripped and broken a leg after all. I had gone over htis spot at least twice before. T: kiwi stickers, L: 3m tape. Thanks to Saff and Tiger for the cache and the card.
5 minutes of hunting revealed the cache. We had walked right over it as we followed the needle of the GPS. Great views. We did feel a bit too close to the house nearby but no dogs barked and no one looked spied us poking around the bushes. Took magnets and added toy car.
We think all cachers should visit this spot. Make a lot of noise and maybe we can get the price of that house down to a manageable level. Then we can set up home and you could all come and visit on our veranda, taking in some of the most spectacular views.
Oh well. We took a Tiki and left a magnetic photo frame and started the jouney back down to the plain. Thanks for the cache.

Great spot! Lovely view.
When I arrived at GZ (which I found to be quite close to a nearby home), a dog barked incessantly. This drew more attention to my 'sneaking' than was desired. Had to bail this time.
I will return... with dog biscuits.

Took a while to find this cache after GPSr settled down. Kept looking at the nearby house to ensure that we are not being seen while hunting the cache. Great spot for view. Took a giant wee and card, and left a calling card, $100 key ring and roos key ring. Thanks for the hunt.
Looked around for a bit and the dog started barking. Turned around for a hasty retreat and saw the hiding place. Luckily the dog stopped barking, too! Wanted to put TB Cache Warrior 4 in there but it was too full. TNLN Thanks for the hunt.

Just had to find this one. The drive to part was the hardest with a bit of backtracking. Great spot TNLTB&CC
Found it. But not even 2nd to find. By the time we arrived around 15.00 several other teams had logged in. And we thought that as the cache had been only just release you guys would be too busy getting over New Years Eve to see in on the site
Ian had said that the Perth teams had become very keen to be first over the past year and he was right.
Back to the cache. I hope that we didnt arouse suspicion as we searched our GPS put the co-ords around 13m out. We had found ourselves very close to a rather nice home.
We took a delicate NZ necklace - and I do know the significance of the shell it is made of. We left in return a souvenior cloth badge from the Pilbara.

After an all night binge with friends we all decided just before dawn to explore this new hobbie of ours. So with designated driver and a car full beer and the occupants just as full with beer we headed off. Because the navigator had 'trubble' just seeing all three screens (namely me) it took quite awhile to workout if we should be heading east or west but as we were nearing Northam we decided as a group we may have overshot a little. On the return trip as the sun was just beginning to peak over the horizon we had finally selected the appropriate parking spot and whilst Therese headed off for the cache we emptied out some of the beer so we could insert some more ... As six un soberly thugs/thugettes decended on GZ it became apparent there was a house nearby (could they have some beer in there?) after a brief discussion it was decided to allow them a little more sleep as we had enough travellers to get us home. We have no idea what the final co-ords were as Therese was searching down the hill with the GPS we uncovered its location ... who says you need a GPS for this sport. We will have to return some time as after returning home the discussion turned to what we had found and no one remembered what the cache even looked like (even the designated driver???).
