After much looking around, slipping, sliding and checking under every bush, we finally looked at the logs and realised this cache is probably not there anymore?
Maybe needs to be relocated above ground level awesome spot just ground changing so often
First attempt last week aborted due to falling light and failing torch. Today's attempt also aborted. Searched all hint objects as indicated by CO and other finders. No luck.
A short but steep hill. The GPSr got us close but we just could not make the find. We found it in the end after reading some older logs. Perhaps we should bring our rabbit along to help remake the hole. Glad to make the find. The log is a touch damp but signable. TFTC.

Found it! Wasn't as difficult as what I thought it would be, however definitely not the right footwear to search for. I must learn, never wear jandals while geocaching. Took Travelbug.
Not really wet but contained two live earwigs. Took those in trade and freed them. Fun to find this in a spot I knew without knowing of the cache. Quick and easy with aid of google sat map. Some more info about the deceased might be nice in cache description. TFTC
My GPS took a bit of time adjusting to this one, but I eventually found it. The hill was steeper than I though it would be. I don't think my footwear was quite adequate, but I managed to stay upright!
Turns out that ferrets must be better climbers than I am. I had terrible trouble with the slope.
Finally located the cache. The contents are damp, but I was still able to sign the log.

It's my baby's fifth birthday today and we have been running around since 7.30 this morning in preparation and then party mode. The guests have all retreated for afternoon naps and jobs that need to be done. Mrs TheWanglers asked if I'd like to go out for a cache. Without hesitation I was on the road. I wanted to make a start on a multi up the way from this one and it'll be rude not to visit. Was a bit cautious as there was a suspicious pile of toilet tissue near GZ. Thankfully, it wasn't near the cache. This took a bit of searching but got it in the end. The cache is really damp and looks like someone left some mints in it previously and the log bag was covered in a minty sticky goop.

Headed off early from work with a developing headache... didn't get to "G.A.S.", couldn't find WP1 of "It's Bark is Worse than It's Bite" so came back to the car with the headache worse and tried for this one.
Once in the general area it was an extremely easy find as it was sitting in the open.
Signed the book, but the cache could do with a good clean out ... there is a packet of dirt(?) in there and a sticky something on the logbook bag that someone has covered up with another bag. One of the container clips didn't want to close too. Would have done some on-the-spot maintenance, but by then the head was pounding and just needed to get home. Then found the pencil about a metre away so aimed it to the by-then hidden again cache.

Well spotted by Mason. GPS struggled to get a bead. Thank goodness for the keen eyes of a 4 year old. TFTC
Tftc, had some time to kill so figured I'd stop off and find this one. Easy find but beware the slippery ground.
GPS showed a cache site on way to Lyttelton for a caching day with BalooSu, so quick detour made. Almost buried but not quite.
First find on a day out with MacPacFamily Mum.
This wasn't even on the list, but I'm not going to turn down a good offer!
TFTC, looks like a park worth exploring!
(Edit date. Something Something American dates something something use brains.)

Nice wee reserve - bit boggy underfoot at the grass start of the track though! A fun family adventure up the hill. Found this one after a bit of a search after we returned from up the hill. Thanks.
Good hidding and good fun. Have left a little something for the next adventurer. Thanks
Nice cache, the GPS was a bit over the place, but a short hunt and soon had it found. TFTC.
Hmmm, a bit of hunting required.

Great hiding place. Our eldest daughter (10) was very concerned about finding the actual ferret. thanks for the cache
Birthday find. I think this is the third time I've tried to find this one. Was a bit more determined today. TFTC
First find of 7 this afternoon while out with the kids. Tricky if looking at GZ - widened search and soon came up with the find. Kids made equal trades. TFTC
Decided to revisit this after a tip from a mate, GPS was as crazy as ever but the tip helped heaps and soon had cache in hand.

24/06/10 10:47 AM Find #3. Aha! This cache eluded me a few weeks ago but I've returned with a new plan and I found it in a few minutes. I enjoyed this. TFTC.
Have to admit my sister who I took out for the day found this before me.
The old log book is in rather a 'stinky' state and should be removed I feel as the whole cache is starting to smell. Bagged the newer log in the separate bag from it.

Don't you just hate it when many other logs say things like "quick find" and you spend 40+ minutes searching as hard as you can! This was the hardest search of the more than 20 caches I did today. TFTC
Found it during lunch walk with a few colleagues and introduce them to Geocaching. TNLNSL TFTC
Tried finding this cache a few years ago, but like many couldn't reconcile the co-ords, the situation on the ground and the clue. I'm these days trying to crack a nearby multi-puzzle cache (Its Bark is Worse than its Bite) and using the car park, so thought to look again at the listing. Thanks to NZTikes for sorting this one out. Signed log says I left a TB, but I didn't in the end. TNLN. Cheers.
Kids and dog had fun finding this one. Geo-dog very disappointed no rabbit in the hole.

Bit of a scramble and the cache was in hand, well hidden and fitting for who it is for. TNLN SL TFTH
Finally found it no thanks to clues in the old logs. Just follow the coords and the hint if you need it. Took green frog, left carabiner. TFTC
Some great news. Quick find for the cache container and also found the original cache (while caching with 'Horotaneporters'), in it's orignal place just as described in the clue but only with the help of a small person's arm. Consolidated all the contents into the original container, (new plastic bags and gel sachets) and put it back but in such a way as it won't be as difficult to reach next time. So the clue is correct and accurate if used. My GPS was all over the show though, so the clue was helpful.
Second try from us and thank goodness for the logs. I bet the native birds of Banks Peninsula celebrated Badger's passing. A good little climb though . TNLN Thank you.
It became a reasonably straightforward find with kalena67's hints - time the incorrect official description was updated. TFTC
Would not want to do this one in the wet, luckly it was sunny today and cache was quickly found.TFTC
We were passing so decided to stop by and thought StreetWalkerNZ's extra pair of eyes would be helpful after my previous DNF. It turned out that I didn't need him as found it after 5 secs! (I had read some helpful logs first).

After walking the wrong way we back tracked and spent sometime Ferriting around (no pun intended) and eventually found this one.TNLN TFTC.
Found with a little help from previous logs and no hint of a rabbit hole ! Thanks for the cache.
Did not read the logs first, else kalena67's tips would have been very helpful! However, the second of those hints is way off my GZ ... hmmmmm...
Time for a clue update, owner!

Found it eventually - the clue is not very useful but the other logs provided some good hints. TFTC
No clue to be seen and I decided that if I had not found within 5 minutes I would give up. Too many places to Luckily came up with it reasonably quickly.
Pleased to find this one with Team HotPJ as we heard it was elusive. Hoped we wouldn't find the remains of Badger instead! iPhone co-ords were bang on but forget the clue - it has long since become irrelevant. Think tussock not rabbit hole and think treeline.

Kalena67 made this one an easy find, pretty much falling over it. Helped having studied previous logs. It really wasn't that difficult or time consuming.
So we found ourselves standing in the middle of a bunch of Tussocks on the side of a hill.
Sorry, we aren't fans of grid searching tussock patches and the clue didn't help us.
Grandalf (our hero) style cunning hides are our favourites.
I guess we can't complain too much as we haven't placed any of our own, but like Troodles log, we don't know if we will return here either.

I was only prepared to give this one 5 minutes max as it was very hard to get a fix with the Etrex, one minute I was 5m away, next 35m, and the area was not a great place to search.
Found an empty hole, and some sad tussock.
I probably won't return.

Came back for this one after running out of time doing GAS yesterday. Took a bit of looking but found eventually. Think the rabbit has long since abandoned the now non-existent hole, so not really much help from the clue. TFTC TNLN
I remember this. Tried to find it a couple of years ago. No joy this time either - really must give it a go in the daylight one of these years!
Found with Imgettingannoyed during our 3 n half week NZ mega cache mission!!
Took us a while, but got it eventually!

Found after rabbiting around. I may have covered it to well. The log is a bit damp. TFTC
