Believed to be missing

24-Oct-05
I put this cache on my watchlist on 15 October but have just realised that I didn't post a note for it. Like Kiwihunters we searched for this for some time on the 15th and couldn't find it. Co-ords took us to a distinctive object, later confirmed to be correct by the clue, and there are limited hiding places at that object. Use of the two clues didn't help. Suspect this may have been muggled I'm afraid.

Four of us unable to find this one after a major excavation and resorting to clue.

Much quieter this time. Found container by accident after short search.

Four muggles playing nearby. We waited for a while (kumaru chips from across the road) but had to move on. We were somewhat tempted to tell the muggles it was high time they were home being after dark. TwistedWink

We found this while travelling with our granddaughters. They really enjoyed their introduction to caching.
Took bangle, left Colonel Klink TB. He is no doubt trying to control the other cache occupants. Bossy britches.
Thanks Moneydork.

Second cache of the day. Found it with wjbwc. Lovely spot but you had to watch for people watching you. Left neckless kit and took kiwi.

Thanks Wayne, enjoyed this one. Had to use Phantom to distract the muggles. Did you know your Great Aunty Pat/Great Uncle Keith used to live in the big ancient house beside the park? Did you know that your grandparents used to live in a similar huge old house which is now a tar sealed car park across the road? Also your great grandparents used to live on the street the park is on, and work across the main road in the bakery and general store there? Then my cousins used to have a hair dressing shop where there is now a dog groomer, also across the road in a slightly southerly direction... So it is fitting you also marked the spot. No swaps. But you've gone down in the family history on this spot

I think this cache should be renamed 'Robert's Grey day cache', as that is the best/only time to do it.
We came past quite a few times, as we were staying at Waitaki Boys High for a Suzuki music camp, and on Saturday there were dozens of muggles about. Sunday was almost drizzly, so there was not a soul about - so a quick and easy nab. TNLN thanks!

Came down for the day to do some Geocaching and swimming. My youngest daughter found this one, while the others play in the play ground.

Excellent quick dash and cache this one. Longest time spent was waiting for the muggles at the other end of the park to head away. Had to chuckle at Bitsprayer's log: how could he resist such a cache here. Thanks Moneydork!
Cheers,
G.

The muggles were not very helpful with me doing this cache. First I had to wait ages for a group to finish lunch and then move on. That was my cue to nip in and find it. Then when I was filling in the log some girls decided to go and play on the swings. It was some time before the park was empty enabling me to return the cache to it's hiding place.
No swaps
Thanks for the cache
