After seeing an entry on the Forum saying this cache was still there I decided to have a look while in the area today. I can confirm that it is still there and in good condition. TNLN SL TFTC
Cache is still in location. If archived why was it not removed from the location!!!!!
The time has come to move on and try geocaching in a new place. Sadly this means we cannot support this cache anymore and reluctantly close it and have removed the cache.

Finally figured out how to log this cache.
After a big nelson trip it took me a week or two to get around to logging all the caches. Of the caches I did, ten had dissappeared off geocaching.com. The names wouldn't come up on searches and they didn't appear on the Google map. They had simply dissappeared..
However after assuring myself that I hadn't gone crazy I managed to locate the old pocket query that I used in the South Island and found the GCXXXX number, searched with this and Ta-Da found the missing caches.
TFTC, pity to see its been archived.
A nice place. The GPS tricked us a bit here bit it was still a quick find.

Found it in second shot after looking at some people who start up their kayaktour.
Looked like an interesting spot for a float down, but no one out and about today. Lots of wood going around in circles in the eddys and the water was rather brown from the excess rain here abouts. TNLN Thanks.
Found cache on the way back from a trip to Takaka. It was in the open and had obviously fallen from its correct location. I tried as best I could to ensure that it was returned to its proper location. TFTC.
Thanks for bringing us here - we wouldn't have seen it otherwise. Took the TB for a trip to Aussie.
15:35 A quick find with no one about on this damp Monday. Thanks for clearing out the wasps.
TN, left 1 pence coin. TFTC.

Stopped by to clean up the site and kill off the wasp nest that the littl devils established. Its good to go with the wasps poisoned.
Indeed, lots of wasps here. But we did not disturb them so they left us in peace, as well. Lovely place at the river banks!
the cache has turned into a home for wasps
i almost had a situation... but

Very familiar territory for me as my parents owned the surrounding farmland on both sides of the river for 15 years. There are some huge eels in the backwater below the falls. Also attended the Outward Bound kayak camp here 32 years ago where we kayaked down the river & over the falls in winter. Bloody Cold! TFTC
Wow, what a neat spot. I see why this cache stays. A lone fisherman mind his own business at the bottom until we appeared to do a u-turn. Water looked cold today, maybe a visit next summer is in order.

We really liked this one, took a photo, signed log, admired the beauty of it - Thank you.

Took a little while, but jfs finally found it. Passed on the idea of a swim.

On a lovely summer day we swung by and replaced the log book and updated the swap items that had got a littl mean. We also stopped for lunch, a stretch and a very very nice swim. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Wonderful spot. A bit tight driving our campervan down to it. I keep thinking I'm driving my 4WD. Would have loved to stop for a swim, but didn't have time.
Good photo spot even though a wet day. Coords had us a bit off but got there in the end. Intrigued by the little nearby camp. TNLN
This was the last geocache on an extremely wet day - the rest of the party stayed in the car whilst I thrashed around in the mud! I was determined not to leave the area without the GC! Left soldier. A lovely spot that we will return to in better weather. TFTC.
Out caching with NZBetty (her first find)
Log book is almost full. Great view of the nearby small rapids. Left Long Island geocoin, thanks

Nice spot and photogenic waterfall. Took a little finding but got there eventually. TNLNSL. TFTC
Found without any majors, just a few blackberry & other prickly bushes to clear first! T4TC.
Great spot. The pool below the falls looks so impressive - we even saw a trout jumping.
A beautiful spot and we watched a fisherman for a while sweeping his long line (sorry about this jargon, haven't got a clue what's it all called). According to us the fish were swimming BEHIND his back all the time though.
Thanks for taking us to this spot.

GPS had me bush bashing in circles for a bit, no idea why. Bit short on toys so +Car.
16:58 No 21 for the day. Restored my faith in my cache hunting abilities after a DNF at Pelorous Bridge! Where was the weir? 'Twas a nice view.... Again, I'd never have seen it except for caching... Thanks. Note that log is damp & nearly full. Cheers. TNLNSL.
A quick stop, had an outward bound group close by so had to be very discrete, 10th for the day. A very nice spot. TFTC

A comical find for us - we were on the way home to Nelson with two children asleep in the car but decided to do this cache! Found it easily, but had to drive up & down the track while completing the log to keep the children asleep! TNLNSL TFTC
Visting from San Francisco Bay area, California, and touring the northern cap of South Island, geocaching along the way. At this point we're leaving Anakiwa and making our way to Nelson. Stopped at this nice river and enjoyed the view. The hint really helped in locating this one. TN, left US coins. TFTC!
What a spot. How different from the crowds at Pelorus bridge along the road. East find

We were staying at the camp at the Pelorus Bridge and took a break from swimming to take the kids on a couple of caches. Had a 6year old on his first "Treasure Hunt" and loved it, think he's hooked Had two goes here today as the gps put us further up the track and 15m towards the river, after an unsucessful hunt headed back into the clear for another go and ended up right on top of the cache TFTC

Cool spot I never knew existed. No sand flys today but fishing muggles! Swapped coin and soap. TFTC.
2:40pm Lovely spot, kids just wanted to jump in and have a swim, unfortunatly still had a long way to go. Easy find. NTNL TFTC
Cache 2 on Honeymoon Roadtrip. Amazing View of swiming hole and sweet place to swim if we had time. TFTC
Neat to find these little out of the way spots you never knew were there. Guess this is what it is all about, eh.
Kids loved throwing logs over the wee waterfall.

Quick find and return to car - it's starting to rain! Great views over the river from this cache.
1645. Last cache for the day on our way to catch the ferry home to Wellington. Easy find, great spot - the waterfall was a nice surprise.

Dressed in my full bee keeping suit, hat, vail, gloves and overalls, the wasps were terminated with extreme prejudice. We cleaned up the cache, added more treasure and sorted it out. Its ready to roll.
Had a good hunt for this one but hadn't realised that it had been disabled. Nice spot for a cache though.
Unfortunatly I did not see Captain S and Erasserman log and as i and the boys investigated the stump we found not the cache but the ressidents. With a yell the Revlets took off and i followed i was not so lucky and recieved 7 stings. Mrs Rev could not understand why we came running back to the car so fast. Luckly we had some anti histamine. For the record the rev did not swear.
When we returned to pick up what we droped in our hurried departure we found the cache in the new hiding place.

Found this one soon enough but was becoming overgrown with blackberries so our tour guide Captain_S decide to deal with it and grub it out. This enraged the wasp's hidden within the log! Captain_S received one sting to the groin area and one to the hand. A bit painful for a while.
So we replaced the cache 2 meteres east of the original site. No wasps or blackberry there.
Great swimming/picnic spot.
No trade.
Thanks.

As Eraserman says, The original hiding spot is now a raging hornets nest, covered in Blackberries to boot.
Between us we have relocated the cache a couple of meters south of the original location.
Just don't try looking in the original place!
My siggestions to the cache owner would be to update the page to advise.
Cheers and thanks for the stings to groin and hand..lol

Based on recent experiences, I think it best we make this cache unavailable until we can get out and sort this wee one out. I think it still worth a cache but it seems to have gone bad.
Thanks Earaserman and Captain_S (for taking the wasp sting to a sensitive bit )

A very nice spot, the ideal place for stretching our legs on the drive from Blenheim to Nelson. Great weather, the water looked inviting but was a bit cold.
Thanks to the hint, the cache was easily found. Thanks!

First cache found on our 3 day holiday to Marlborough. Ideal cache on way to Blenheim. Had to use cheat code as thought cache would have been placed more closer to main outlook. Guess not. Met not so friendly local when driving away! Will come back in summer and try out water holes.
As I walked towards GZ I met a friendly local, outdoor enthusiast type of couple who, seeing my attire, (tramping boots, hiking stick, hat and small bag etc ) immediately interogated me as to where I was going, and why? I said I had a friend who had recommended I check out the area and they seemed very pleased that even I, an Aucklander, had somehow got to hear about their local sights. Do you know what your going to see? They asked. I had to admit I did not know. They informed me about the attraction but said that in the ciurrent circumstances, recent very heavy rain, it was hardly to be seen.
On arrival I was surprised to find the cache in almost full view, maybe the heavy rain had washed its covering away. I covered it up when I replaced it.

Drove in nearly up to the cache for a quick find. We were heading towards Nelson in the dark so it was not the right time for a view!

A nice easy find - and the river was in flood after heavy rain overnight quite a sight. No swaps, cheers, Grandalf.
Nice easy find, great spot. Covered up the container a little as it seemed exposed. Took a whistle, left the Powder Bug TB after helping it on it's way a little
Great view of the falls from the cache site, cache was partially exposed so I covered it back up. TNLN
Despite a minor domestic after we overshot the turnoff we found this OK. Well disguised cache.
