After walking around inside the coliseum we took a stroll around outside and passed this cache. Even though it was disabled I was able to find th log sheet and sign it.

A few days visiting Rome. Walking through Rome from one attraction to the other we also visited a few caches. totally found 32 caches and we had 11 DNF's.

While my guide group is waiting in line i went to find this cache. Easy find.

What a great birthday present: 4 days sightseeing in Rome, after 20 years again in this splendid city. The weather was beautiful, almost to warm, it was loud and very, very crowded, but absolutely great.
We managed to visit all sights we wanted to and did most of the ways by foot.
The first day was reserved for the visit of the Vatican.
The container is still here, but you need veeerrrry long arms to get it.

TFTC What an amazing place for a cache! After a morning of fighting with crowds that had no idea how to queue, made this find after a bite to refuel.

Forgot to add picture of logbook as my pen is missing. I will try to get a new pen and sign it this evening.

Found on an evening walk with Svinter and Luccec. We all searched for a while here before Svinter found the cache!

Found together with Snabelabe and Luccec and the mugglerfamily as the first cache in Rome. We arrived in the afternoon and went to find some caches before dinner and see some of the local sights - such as Colosseum. Well, we saw it from the outside, anyways.

Its quite a filthy search area, but somehow I managed to identify a logscroll in a plastic bag. TFTC

This cache could be found on our todays tour through Rome. Thanks for showing us this great location and the hiding of the container!

Pocasí jsme meli pekné až v nedeli ráno pršelo a došlo i na naše pršipláste.

Behem výletu do Ríma jsme navštívili mnoho zajímavých a pekných lokalit.
Jak tech známých jako napriklad Koloseum , Vatikán a Andelský hrad.
Tak i tech méne známích - spousta basilik, kostelu, mnoho krásných fontán a námestích.

A warm trip to Rome.

We had a nice weather on Sunday morning and it rained and it was on our raft.

During the trip to Rome, we visited many interesting and nice localities.
Such as those known as the Colosseum, the Vatican and the Angelic Castle.
So even the lesser known - lots of basilicas, churches, many beautiful fountains and squares.

A lot of photos have been taken, so I'll try to add to the log

Found long time ago, however being in Rome, I brought a TB that wanted to have a piccie taken at the Colosseum...

*We have a family together for a long weekend with Rome and the Vatican. It was a beautiful trip, we have seen a lot of beautiful places in this city, and maybe we'll come back here sometime.
Of course, I made several caches in this trip, but the quality and location of those physical disappointed me. Fortunately, the beauty of this city has fully compensated for it. I thank all the owners for all the caches I could visit.

Druhý celý den našeho pobytu. Brzy ráno vyrážíme smer Forum Romanum a Coloseum, kde trávíme celé dopoledne, pak presun metrem zpet do centra a odtud pomalou procházkou a prohlídkou jdeme zpet k našemu ubytování.

Zde nalezena asi nejaká náhrada, takže lognuto do provizorního logbooku. Kolosální Coloseum

Today was my first time in Rome, unfortunately I didn't have much time, but it was enough for a few caches. I could find this box on a very nice place, thank you for hiding.

Für Silvester und Neujahr ging es für Be_Crazy und mich nach Rom. Wir schauten einige Sehenswürdigkeiten und haben viele schöne Caches besucht. Die Stadt hat uns sehr gut gefallen und die Dosen liesen sich gut finden. An vielen Orten musste man an die Muggels denken. Vielen Dank an die vielen Owner.

Be_crazy and I went to Rome on New Year's Eve and New Year. We looked at some sights and visited many beautiful caches. The city was very good and the cans liesen find good. In many places you had to think of the Muggels. Many thanks to the many owners.

Today we arrived in Rome to have a nice couple of days here.
This is our first time here, so we have a lot to see.
It’s very beautiful here with al the statue’s and buildings.
We also found a lot of caches already, and this was one of them.

This week me and Debster24 went to Rome. What a great city to discover. We enjoyed our stay near the center of Rome. We even did the bus tour and visited lot's of awesome and historical places.

We found some traditional and solved mysteries. The virtuals and earth caches were nice too. Some caches were easy to find.

What’s a trip to Rome without seen the Colosseum? So in the evening we’d like to see it in the early darkness. What a nice and historical place! Don’t know why the cache is disabled but it is in good condition and reachable.

Spolecne strávený prodloužený eurovíkend v Ríme jsme s Glossiphonií venovali nejenom poznávání mesta, kulture, nákupum a popíjení vínecka a kafícek, ale samozrejme taky geocachingu .
Nekteré kešky jsme nacházeli na první šáhnutí, s nekterými to tak jednoduché nebylo. Každopádne se nám tady po všech stránkách moc líbilo a pekne jsme si tady taky vylepšili statistiku .

Am frühen Montag Morgen stiegen das knuddelige Waldmeerschweinchen und ich in einen irischen Flieger und verabschiedeten uns für fünf Tage nach Rom. Was für eine tolle Stadt!
Während wir fast die komplette City mit ihren Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß eroberten, kamen wir auch an diesem Cache vorbei.

Diese Woche verbrachte ich zusammen mit Slápi erlebnisreiche und eindrucksvolle Tage im wilden Rom. Neben vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten, die die Stadt zu bieten hat, bekamen wir trotz einer nie zuvor dagewesenen DNF-Quote doch noch den ein oder anderen Cache zu sehen.
Hier konnten wir uns zur Abwechslung mal erfolgreich in das Logbuch eintragen.

Petit voyage à Rome, ses pasta, ses pizza, ses gelatos, ses ruines, ses monuments... Une très belle ville qui offre également une multitude de caches. Nous en visitons environ 80 qui nous permettront de découvrir de très joli coin. Malheureusement, beaucoup de caches ne sont pas entretenues, certaines n'ont même plus de contenant, d'autres ont visiblement disparu, d'autres qui avaient beaucoup de points favoris ne sont plus que des petites capsules de plastiques. Dommage car pour avoir eu la chance de trouver quelques unes de leurs soeurs, les originales devaient être très sympa. Et oui, car heureusement, nous avons trouvé quelques caches fort sympathique avec une mention spéciale pour La villa Ludovisi !
J'ai particulièrement apprécié la WIG aux allures de multi qui nous a permis de visiter de très jolis monuments dès le premier jour. Toutes ces caches ont aussi été l'occasion de rencontres fortuites avec d'autres géocacheurs et notamment lors de la recherche du cadenas de Trevi : des françaises, des allemands, un italien et une russe ! Fantastique même si nous sommes repartis bredouilles.
Les caches les plus chouettes se trouvent sans conteste à la Villa Borghese. Et ce fut d'autant plus marrant de les trouver en rosalie !
Merci à tous les poseurs qui ont contribuer à ce chouette séjour !

Un breve viaggio a Roma, la sua pasta, la sua pizza, i suoi gelati, le sue rovine, i suoi monumenti ... Una città molto bella che offre anche una moltitudine di cache. Visitiamo circa 80 che ci permetterà di scoprire un angolo molto bello. Purtroppo, molte cache non vengono mantenute, alcune non dispongono di contenitori, altri sono ovviamente scomparsi, altri che hanno molti punti preferiti non sono altro che piccole capsule di plastica. Peccato perchè per avere avuto la possibilità di trovare alcune delle loro sorelle, le prime dovevano essere molto belle. E sì, per fortuna, abbiamo trovato alcune cache molto amichevoli con una menzione speciale per Villa Ludovisi!
Ho apprezzato soprattutto la WIG multi-look che ci ha permesso di visitare alcuni monumenti molto belli dal primo giorno. Tutte queste cache sono state anche occasioni di incontri fortuiti con altri geocacher e soprattutto durante la ricerca del blocco di Trevi: francese, tedesco, italiano e russo! Fantastico anche se abbiamo lasciato a mani vuote.
Le cache più belle sono senza dubbio a Villa Borghese. Ed era più divertente trovarli in rosalie!
Grazie a tutti i personaggi che hanno contribuito a questo ottimo soggiorno!

After visiting the colosseom, we searched for this cache and find it without any problems. I don't know why it's disabled. Everything is fine here.

I visited the colosseum together with RavenAbraxas. It was great. After that we were looking for this cache and we found it. We were not online in Rom, so we didn't see, that the cache was disabled. But there were no workers around when we were there.

Dieses Wochenende stand ganz im Zeichen von Rom, Sightseeing und natürlich Cachen.
Also flogen RonaldZey und ich relativ spontan in die "ewige Stadt", um ein paar Caches zu suchen und lecker italienischen Cappuchino zu trinken. Letzters hat aus Zeitgründen leider nicht so geklappt. Aber Rom ist eine so fantastische Stadt, dass dies sicherlich nicht mein letzter Besuch war.
Auch diesen Cache konnten wir loggen.

So RonaldZey and I flew relatively spontaneously into the "eternal city", to look for a few caches and drink delicious Italian Cappuchino. For the coffee we had unfortunately no time. But Rome is such a wonderfull and fantastic city that this certainly was not my last visit.

Nadat we het Colosseum bezocht hadden, nog even de omliggende caches mee gepakt.
Onze medereiziger (lees: niet-geocacher) zag meteen al een plek waar hij zou kunnen zitten. Maar daar zagen we hem niet. Na even eromheen gezocht te hebben, alsnog mijn hand erin gestoken, en yess! Hebbes!

Our co-travaler (read: no-geocacher) saw at first a nice hiding place, but there we saw nothing.

We had 5 days in Rome to see the city and do some caches on the way between the different view points. We found a lot, but also we had a very high number of DNF, even if we skipped some, that had more than 3 DNF. Anyway it was a very interesting trip, and according to our city guide, we did most of the MUST HAVEs.

After visiting the Colosseum decided to give the cache a try but got there and people were sitting in the wrong spot so had to wait them out and as soon as it was clear made my way in and got the cache. TFTC

Saved the best till last for my day of caching in Rome. Good hide in an area so dense with muggles - easy to find, but so well hidden. Sat and wathed the light cache over the Colosseum until the sun went down and then went in search of pizza goodness. Will never eat pizza again unti I come back to Italy - it's just soo good here! Thanks for the cache.

An easy find and an easy hide as I sat on top of the wall on top of the cache and used my bag to hide what I was doing, not that anyone took the slightest notice! Thanks for the cache - it's a really good spot to sit and look around.

WOW.....What a location for a cache. The view was spectacular and amazing. This is my first cache in Italy and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of muggles around of course, but we were very sly and found it without any problems, thanks to the hints. Pencil is gone, but I had a pen to sign the log. I can only imagine the crowds of muggles when this was an active arena. Thanks for the cache.
