Just attempting to track all the caches I've done with a TB Smile

14-Sep-11
I was thinking of going for this cache but with a string of DNFs after all those unbroken finds in a row I'd be interested to know if it's still there first.

17-Jul-11
DNF Sad we searched the area thoroughly. Disappointing. Beautiful area though!

29-Jan-11
Went for an early morning drive to the National Park at Cape Bowling Green. After a short walk to the lookout and a long search for the cache we are disappointed to record a DNF. Is team bosley69 loosing its mojo? We will follow this one to see how others go.

02-Jan-11
31/12/10 we searched-everywhere! Perhaps recent heavy rain has washed it away. Will try again next time we are in the area.

28-Dec-10
No 'relaxing' for us today as we searched and searched for this one with four sets of eyes.... with no luck. Sad We spent an hour in very hot, humid conditions looking all around the hint area as well as where 'my' gz was (about 10-15m further in). However my gz didn't match terrain/difficulty !? Luckily there was plenty of refreshing, clear water to cool off in. Strange that we are the first dnf in 71 finds.

01-Oct-10
Nice cache, left fish keyring, trackable still in container.

21-Sep-10
A nice look out. We walked there early in the morning and then went swimming. Nice cache,
Thanks, suntu

When I found this cache as part of the p-boro team I did not have my own account yet. Now I am logging the caches which I actively found. We walked up to the look out from the campground and after the cache log we all went for a swim.
Thanks from GOpard

21-Sep-10
First cache in Queensland during our Spring holiday. I tried to find this as a night cache on a walk from the campground, but didn't succeed. It was actually quite spooky with all the noises in the forrest and felt a lot further than the walk the next morning. Surprised
The view from up here is great. left TB Geckondea, seems like the perfect spot.
After the cache we all stayed for a swim in the creek.
Thanks for a great cache.

Wanted to do something more productive than voting today, so drove out to try this cache in the evening. Don't you have it when you forget to re-stock your spare batteries and they die on the road! Never mind, this was a great cache to pick without the GPSr. Another bodacious cache quickly in hand, and what a most excellent location for the hide. Will definitely bring the BurgerGirl back for this one.

After combing the area to place a cache we found this one! This is an awesome place to visit and it was a nice way to spend the morning by the river! Half the family even went for a swim! We did see the Bee trackable but we cant help it on its mission so we left it safe and sound for the next cachers! SL TNLN TFTC

WanderingAus wandered by on day 56 of our annual 'Climatic Refugee' trip, and made a fairly quick and easy GAFF 1 find.

In the late seventies from about 1975 to 1979 we often brought our two kids (now the parents of our five granchildren) here for a swim. There were no facilities here then, or lookouts and boardwalks. The place looks great now with all the BBQs, picnic tables, toilets, and camping area.

My find No 2595, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped Bee (ref = TB36QKK), also dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

We picked up the TB. What a great spot. With the recent rain the creek is flowing and the pools are fresh and cool.

We seen, Wallabies, Kingfishers, Parrots, Goanna and a bush Turkey all in 100 metres.

Great spot to visit.

07-Nov-09
Such lovely views. I've walked along here several times on my trips to Townsville and never noticed the lookout! Thanks goodness for yogie71 and caches Big Grin There's not a lot of water right now but it's still a gorgeous place. Thanks for the clue (my co-ords seemed a bit off too) but we found the cache with no problems. I dropped off the Gecko TB who's travelling around the whole coast and seems to have been most of the way around now, doing well!

3 out of 3 for Cat and Bear. Parked the car and followed the path to the GZ. Have been here before but didn't know that a look out existed. Found cache easily and would you believe it that Punk Rock Mouse is in there. We moved this litter fellow from New Crestbrook Cache to Ayr and he has returned.

Took TB
Left Dinosaur toy.

Thankyou for placing this cache the view from the look out is fantastic. I Enjoyed listening to the birds and the small waterfalls. It was truly relaxing. When we got back to the car we had a nice lunch before heading home. Saw a wallaby with a joey so that made this find more enjoyable.

3rd of the 3 caches in the Bowling Green NP today. It was a nice surprise to have such a great view from near GZ enjoyed that for awhile then set off for a nice easy find.
Left the Punk rock Mouse to continue its travels.
Thanks for a cache in such a great area.

TFTC Great view over a great swimming hole. Decided we needed a swim to cool down and figured we get this one on the trip.
Cache had water in it. We tried to dry it out a bit but the area was a bit busy. Took the Jack Daniels keytag and left a water gun for someone to play in the water with.

17-Jan-09
The Area was quite wet. At the time the cache was dry.Lovely area.

01-Oct-08
Was on the lookout for a walk and this area came up. The walk beyond the cache got a bit boring after 1/2 an hour so I turned around and came back. The area near the cache though, is great and well worth a vist. The swimming hole was teaming with young people cooling off during school holidays and there was wildlife abounding (and bounding)
Took the geocoin.

Found easy at 1:20pm. What a beautiful place and I can only imagine how nice the water would be to swim in during the summer. It was a little to cold at the moment for a swim, however some tourist from down south thought it was warm enough.

Thanks,

What a beautiful spot today in the rain with plenty of water going over the falls - it was quite spectacular. Have not been up on that lookout before - how good is it!
Nice easy find dropped off TB Tigger the Tigershark. Just as well I got him out of all that water in Mackay!! The only disappointing thing was having to chat some fools who were throwing stones at the wallabies. Luckily they left!

Second find on a long Australia Day weekend. Quite hot today so rewarded ourselves with a swim in the beautiful cool waters!

16-Dec-07
Last one for the day and it was an easy find in a great location. Very popular area and a great place to go for a barbacue and cool off in the creek. Not sure why the sign reads "Swimming not Advisable" but it certainly didn't deter all the people out there today cooling off.

Found easily & what a great cache it is, this is a great spot & to think that I never bothered to visit this beautiful place before Geocaching brought me here. TFTC.

On a mission to get as far south today as possible, but not without doing at least some of the caches close by.

It was getting dark when I did the sprint to this one. Naturally, took the longer of the two tracks.

I did spend a couple of minutes at the lookout checking the view.

Found at 1755 hrs.

The fifty first cache found on my trip out west and up north.

Cheers

Great cache in a beautiful location. Mrs Nosugref grabbed the slimey frog TB. We are so pleased we made our way out here. The wallabies and kangaroos were active at dusk, we saw some babies! Beautiful lookout. TFTC. TNLN.

Wow - no other way to describe this location. One of my favourites on my quick trip back to Townsville and a spectacular lookout. Many decades ago used to swim here and there were no walking tracks and lookouts. Did this with Dosphoenix and she was as thrilled as me. Thanks for the bringing us here and you cannot visit Townsville without a visit here.

31-Dec-06
We rated this the best cache we've done so far in the Townsville area. Very nice spot and an excellent little lookout over the extremely tempting (on such a warm muggy morning) mountain stream. It really looked a picture. We've promised ourselves a return visit whilst we're here in Townsville, for a swim in the delightful looking pools and maybe a wander up to another nearby cache. Just the sort of thing we were expecting from tropical Nth Qld caches. No swaps but dropped off Slimy Frog TB. Thanks yogie71.

second one for the day nice walk and a grat view not much water running and not alot of people around took evil micro coin left marble

07-Oct-06
WOO HOO YIPEE!!!!!! and all that stuff

This was our 50th find. Haven't seen so many wallabies in one place in years. Beautiful spot and we will be back to camp. Liz spotted the cache site as she was walking along the trail, smarty pants!!!!

Dropped off the Evil micro coin, and I do mean dropped. I was taking a pic of it with our koala and it fell from the lookoutRed Face. Heart in mouth hoping it would stop before the water at the bottom.

It did Big Grin, I hurriedly chased it down the side of the hill before any muggles arrived as Liz sat like a child with a new toy filling out the log.

Love this game.

Took nothing
Left koala and evil coin

well I started to have a bit of a scratch around...then I heard someones else coming...no worries - its only 'Everlasting' again...beginning to think I am being followed.
Well we all searched unsuccessfully, but I came up trumps after throwing the GPS away and having a good look around [^] - thanks ladies ... it has been a fun day

19-Sep-06
Found the cache at 4.24pm. Again meet Dandent, so we all search - hope we find it before him BUT He found it before us!!!... No swap. Lovely picnic area. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.

Found without too much trouble, I even stayed outside the tapeSmile
The rangers must know this cache is here as with all the construction work someone must have noticed it Big Grin
Nice area, looks like the lookout will be back in action soon.

16-Jul-06
we have not been up here for years it was loverly to see the changes still a great family spot
It was raining today so no muggles although to get to the cache it has been taped off but you can still easily get to it if no-one is around.
Took a TB frog I see it has not been logged
Left a smile super ball and our trade mark smile in the lid

14-Jul-06
Our first cache of the day. What a great park. We were greeted as we parked the car by a party of wallabies.
We enjoyed the walk to the cache although to closed off signs and tape, apparently blocking our way, had us a bit nonplussed initially. However, we found our way around that OK to make an easy find.
TNLNSL
Thanks for bringing us here.

09-Jul-06
Unexpectedly ended up at Alligator Creek after attempting to get up Mt Stuart (there was some kind of car race happening). I had my trusty GPS with me so I introduced my friend to Geocaching. I always love Alligator Creek and there was still a fair bit of water flowing through. Lookout is still closed but the sign is easily "ignored" if there are no muggles around. Nice view from the lookout. Thanks for the Cache Yogie.

visited cache this morning.
In - redback
Out - camera case
water is running quite well and there are plenty of mozzies about, still.
pathway to lookout is fenced off but easily bypassed, if you wish.

12-Mar-06
We thought we would drop off Baxter at this lovely location hope he doesn't mind all the mozzies that are out in force here after all the recent rain we have had.
The mozzies didnt stop us enjoying a couple of hours in the refreshing water before heading for home.

03-Feb-06
Took my son along to show him what the game was about, and he found it within seconds! Had a look at the creek with bathers enjoying themselves, turtles, fish and birds, lovely place. Smile

01-Jan-06
The Trevor Hunters found this one today.

Was an easy find after reading the clues even though the lookout has now been closed for redevelopment (see attached pics). The cache doesn't appear to be in danger at this point but I don't know how much they intend to rework the site. The path is still open up to the lookout turnoff which is sealed with orange mesh.

Low muggle count except for a few swimmers and some curious wallabies.

out- pack of cards and a car badge
in- nail pollish and a ball puzzle.

Found it!

More when we are back in Germany.

Thanks and best regards,

We have reached double figures with this find. Cache #10 for us!!!

But it is also our first find for the day. We were amazed that it was so dry at this location and equally surprised that there was still a bit of a flow in the creek. We should have packed our togs.

Burdair jnr was delighted the cache had a Holden car in it so we picked that up and left a small camera cover.

We also retrieved the Lake Mead Collared Lizard TB.

16-Aug-05
Found at 1:54PM. It was easy to find. Took a keyring and left a stapler.

28-Jul-05
Found easily. Great spot use to swim here all thetime. If you get a chance, there is a great spot about 8km up the track. Worth it espeacially after it has rained. Teddie - Bear again. Big Teddie came along for the adventure, his firtst cache. My GPS has become his new toy. LN Took TB Sand thingy (looks like a shell to me) 315793. Have driven past this turn off on my way to Townsville for years and had never read the sign. What a beautiful spot and view from the lookout is very impressive and the sound of the waterfall is very tranquil. Nice spot for the cache, was worried about people showing up but luckily it was late in the afternoon and I had no interruptions. Left TB "Mainely Moose" and Took "Oscar Octopus" & "A Nemo for Noli". Will help them on there Journey to England.

21-Apr-05
Logging Lolly in after taking his picture with Nemo and Dory, sadly the box isn't big enough so he flies away again!

21-Apr-05
Lovely spot. No cars in the car park when I arrived, short walk up to the look out annd spotted the likely hiding place, which was indeed correct.

Left 2 of my TBs racing back to the UK, one of them is Nemo for Noli so Dory has got his companion, also left Oscar Octopus.

TNLN Thanks for placing the cache.
