Though it's a cache I can see from my apartment window, the starting location of the pub has not replaced the MMM plaque which is the reason for the cache in the first place!
So, I'm retiring this one now.
Thanks to all who dropped by.

Couldn't find the plaque as expected but the GPS soon projected the waypoint in line with the instructions. Trouble was when I got to the GZ the cache was nowhere to be seen. This box looks as though it has been moved recently as the concrete around the legs looks fresh.
Can you please confirm that the cache is still available?

I'm real sure that I was right but there was nothing to find. It seems to be lost

A nice easy drive by on the way home...surprised that I haven't done this one before. I thought I might have seen a Partic nearby too.
walked all around ... looking for the post box ... no luck ... maybe we are just blind today... figure we had the co-ordinates and direction correct and all but no green box to be seen.
next time i guess.

Found by Pickupfamily Dad 2120hrs, in the first corner (of 8!) that I tried. TFTC Partic.

Finding where it was hidden was the easy part. Waiting until the coast is clear was a little more difficult. It did happen though and I quickly grabbed it and replaced it. Went back to the beach to enjoy the bright red sunset.
You've been BUGGED! Found exactly where the cache was but too many muggles so couldn't get the job done. Nice place. Here from USA on a cruise and to hit caches. Loved them all so far. Thanks.
An appropriate day to be hunting this cache! Nice easy find in stealth mode. TNLN. Thanks
Great little area and I took time to have a coffe and a snak just up from the cache site. The pancakes keep me going all date. Love this Melbourne food.

#29 of 101 finds for the day in the company of Dak's Emu Mob.
The plaque at GZ was missing when we arrived but we were lucky enough to avail ourselves of enough local knowledge to make the find.
Thanks Partic !

The shoelaces were coming undone again. A quick stop and snoop and the cache was in hand. Didn't even stand up to log it.
Footpath was being reconstructed at plaque site but I strayed the desired number of metres in the right direction and was rewarded.
Found without any real problems save for lots of muggles! Putting it back was just as hard but! Thanks Partic. Note that from August people will be exchanging, not blooming!
Found 15 May at 21:38h Visiting from Canada. Was in Australia for 1 week. TNLN. Interesting way to redirect final hide of the cache. I had to look way up on the leg to find it... Canotage
Went in front of the pub, took a rough bearing from my GPS-compass and bike'd the 190m. Found two objects that fit the description perfectly, but after searching the legs thoroughly, I concluded that the cache must have been muggled -> Partic, please check!
I cheated and projected a waypoint from the coords using the GPS and found myself right at the post boxes, searched and searched but could not find.
Found plaque ,but struggled with the 2 objects to look that looked obvious.Came back later and discovered the objects hidden behind cars from the plaque area. Thanks Partic.
Another interesting story from this series. Headed inside to the bar whilst working out my strategy for a strike on GZ - as well as try and work out where it was from the bar with no signal. Didn't want to be seen staggering around for too long looking for the correct bearing after having only one light beer. Thanks to the setting sun I wasn't too far off. cheers
found at 4:20pm Accompanied by the Mrs. as Navigator and Scribe.
1st find out of 2 for the day.
not many bodies about, nice easy find after driving about a bit.

Our 400th cache . As with some of the other markers in the series, I had a bit of trouble locating this one at first, until I read the cache notes and found it on the wall. I was then able to use the newly discovered/investigated waypoint projection facility in my GPSr to setup a waypoint for the final location and, after a short walk, I was making my log entry .
Thanks again Partic

I had a go at this one yesterday but didn't look closely enough. An easy enough find today. Thanks.
It took a call to the Partic helpline to still almost log this as a DNF. Partic was kind enought to give me a few pointers without going too far out of his way. Stopped for one last look before pulling up stumps and turned it up. Not sure where partic got the inspiration for this cache. I'd heard the rumours but never believed them myself?! Thanks Partic for a great bit of history!
I'm getting the hang of film canisters and green boxes. Nice and easy although I'm told that it can be rough at the pub. Nice and quiet tonight, though.
Thanks, again.
Thanks, again.
Cache thirty two of seventy seven for the day: in what we called The Big Assault eighteen hours of none stop caching.
Another DNF finally found, cache was grabbed and as we sat in the car logging it, who should come along but post man pat. Once he had left the area we replaced the cache.
Thanks Partic.

This is another part of town that has become the place to be, evident by the amount of building works in progress.
We had relatives who lived here in the 60's, who couldn't have imagined, in their wildest dreams, what it is like now.

Parked very close to GZ on our way to another cache in the series, so was able to grab this one too!
Needed to change the skirt for a frock before leaving the footpath. You will soon have me checking all the boxes I walk past. Neat cache location.
Found by Shelly at about 6.30pm. Gotta love the little ones! Got to it without looking too suspicious. Liked the story too. I've dressed like Boy George once and done a bit of Karaoke but i'm not sure if you'd consider that 'cross dressing'.
How embarassment...
I need to go buy a caching mirror! The cache container had been replaced higher into the green box than I usually leave them, and so it wasn't where I felt about in the box a month ago.
Hopefully this will be tha case with another (MMM) cache I'm replacing soon.
In future, please leave cache at front of box, lower than the base plate of the box.

Found at 10:27AM, the 16th cache on our all day caching adventure.
We had this cache in the GPSr and on our running log but could not find the cache sheet.
A phone call home got us the required info and a quick trip back to the area saw us with the cache in hand shortly after.

Acts2YouthGroup's DNF triggered a stroll across the road today, and the cache has vanished again.
After having had numerous issues with it, I'm now going to relocate it.
Please update your records when the cache goes live again.

another DNF the cache was not under the thing, i even stuck my hand up inside each leg and found nothing.
12:36 This cache is for people with rubber arms. I had nearly put this down as a DNF when I read Alsume's log about big hands. I tried again and sacrificing the skin on my underarm I finally located the micro. I left it in a less hazardous location (where it should have been anyway according to the hint).
Found at 1:10pm after having left it for a while when we could not manage to get a large hand into the cache location easily, and lots of muggle interruptions. Having come back armed with a mirror, we ended up making the find without using it!

Found the plaque easily, hard part was figguring out how to opperate the gpsr to find the cache.wandered around for an age before retiring to complete the nearby virtual.
Upon my return to gz, i used a different function on the gpsr, which provided more promise immediately, within minutes had the cache in hand.

Found at 10:05am. Seventeenth cache of 56 on our quest to claim the Most Cache Finds in Australia in One Day.
Arrived at GZ. Man standing on nearby corner. Looks at us sitting in car. Walks two slow steps. Looks at us...(repeat for five minutes until he finally walks around the corner). Once gone, an easy find.
Thanks Partic from D,S & H B-A.
Time Elapsed since First Cache - 3 Hours 25 Minutes.

Facitman emailed me after he was tidying up his caching history the other day and realised he'd actually found what was an old version of the cache!
As it turned out, the cache had been placed higher than I had left it, and so I'd put a new one in the garden nearby.
Today on checking it, I found the old cache. I then found the new cache location near the telegraph pole had been damaged, and the cache tossed aside.
As a result, I've merged the log sheets, improved the magnetism, and replaced the cache under the mail distribution box. Hopefully, it will stay there now and this will go back to being the low maintenance cache it should be
Enjoy.

This was our second attempt on this one and we really wanted to find this one as it is most relevant to our occupation. With the newer upgraded paperwork it was an easy find this time. Thanks again for another MMM
Couldn't find the marker - seems to be a construction zone. After some looking we decided that some lunch was more important than trying to locate the new GZ so we'll give this one a miss for today.
[8)] Oops. Now I see why everyone was in the construction site.
Seems my coordinates bounced about the day I took them, and it's not been until I plotted my caches on OziExplorer after reading today's DNF log that I realised it was wrong.
Coordinates corrected, and I've changed the hint, not that you need it now the points are correct.

Found at around Midnight
After attending a bucks night at a nearby restaurant I stopped off at this cache to show a non-geocaching friend what the sport was about. Unfortunately I was using Rhinogeo's old caching notes and even though I found the cache quickly, I got totally confused the next day when checking my coordinates and the logs (no it wasn't drunken confusion ). A few emails to Partic and all was explained (see his note).
So finally logged... TNLNSL
Thanks Partic, I'm really enjoying the MMM series!

Actually never found the memory marker but took a bearing from where it should have been and found the Cach this evening. Actually it was easier in the evening than during the day. We had Geotess (Dog) with us and we pretended we'd lost her ball in the garden-no problem I'll make a secret agent yet. My log is only the second one on the sheet so not too many finding this one then.
All the kids in our area would start building a huge bonfire on the beach a couple of weeks before bunger night. On the night people from all over the town would come down and watch the fun. We would throw bungers and thunders in the creek and time it so they blew up underwater, fire the ball shooters at the older guys with their girlfriends up to no good in the dark. Was always a great night.
Attempted this one but with the old paperwork, no wonder we couldn't find it. We will be back
The last of 20 caches today. This was my Nemesis cache for the day. For starters, I couldn't find the plaque; my GPSr was pointing into a building site. I ignored this and used my GPSr to project the final location. Now, do I project with True North or Magnetic North? One projection put me in the middle of an apartment block, and the other put me in the street. No cache there. I looked and looked. I decrypted the hint--it seemed to disagree with the cache description, but wasn't helpful at the location I was searching. Frustration set in. I had spent about 45 minutes looking for it, so I gave it away and went on to "Westgate Memorial".
While I was there muzza called me, and he had the number of the Partic help line. I put in the call, and received a big hint (that is, Partic told me where to look ). It turned out that my GPSr was pointing 10m too far North, and about 50m too far West. No wonder I couldn't find the plaque or he cache! I finally laid hands on it at 1540. That's the last of the current crop of MMM caches, and it's been an enjoyable journey. Thanks to Partic for the help, the cache, and the series.

Bugger. I can only think that it's the Australia Post guy pulling the cache off, or there was a gale over the weekend that's knocked the cache away again.
Repositioning the cache and changing the description to reflect the change very soon.

We decided to get out of the house after dinner and have a go at the MMM series and see if we could get them all in one night. So packed our stuff and took geo-Cleo-dog with us as a ruse for the muggle infested sites that we read about. We succeeded in finding all the caches except Harper's Chimney, which has been muggled.
Found at 11.20pm, but how many spots to hide the canister are there in this location! An very intersting twist to the cross-dressing story that I enjoyed. Thanks Partic.

A good free source of small but very strong magnets are from the insides of old hard disk drives. The old 500MB and 1-2GB drives are the best! The magnets are used in the head movement mechanism. I have a couple which will hold their weight through the thickness of your hand!
I highly recommend a trip to Aussie Magnets at the above coordinates for all new cache placers. Thanks to Bigglesbear & Muzza for directing me there which fixed my problems with this and a few other caches.
6:00pm | Temporarily disabled - needs a better magnet.
The southerly gale that's coming across the Bay this afternoon has dislodged this cache and I found it rolling on the ground as I walked back home from the shops this afternoon. A stronger magnet will solve the issue.
If anyone has a solid film cannister sized magnet on them, and was intending to do this cache before the weekend, bring it with you and call me on 0412307296 - I live within 100m of the cache location!
Thanks. Partic

Found at 9.30 but not the first to fill in the replacement log. We had been beaten by sbalough. There were still people on foot and driving by which made it a bit tricky. Thanks Partic for replacing the cache so promptly. TNLN

Thanks to BB for reporting Cache was missing. New container placed this afternoon. And everyone else thought it would be Harper's Chimney that would be muggled first!
Lesson 1 read the cache notes carefully and lesson 2, refer to lesson 1. Mr.Coffee and the Coffee Clan found this cache after waiting 1 hour for a muggle to move on, it was only then we realised we were looking in the wrong spot(bugger). After error we had cache in hand in less time than you could say "cache in hand".

Found on 15/01/05 @ 2350 AEDT. I tried and failed to find this cache earlier in the evening, but had forgotten the North settings on the GPSr were still on Magnetic from the last bushwalking trip , so didn't have much luck. An easy, and quick find the 2nd time with North reset to TRUE (and less chance of being seen too ).

G & I started out today to get some plastic boxes for her first cache but while we were out we decided to stop by this cache and see what we could see.
After working out that Bearing and Heading are different things, we eventually found the right location and the cache was ours.
There was nary a muggle in sight, so we were able to retrieve, log and return all without suspicion.
Took nothing , left water balloons.
Another great piece of history Partic, thanks.

After doing '(MMM) Harper's Chimney', this was next on the list, being just around the corner. Located the plaque, then spent about 5 minutes searching the GPS menus for the Projection screen to work out the final location. Eventually found it, plugged in the offset and direction, then set the goto. Doh! I could have done it manually using the currently set goto.
I thought it would be easy to find in this quiet area, but I must attract muggles. A few people came out of a nearby building, then sat in the car for a few minutes before leaving. There were a number of cars passing by and the odd pedestrian. Finally, at 11:20 when the coast was clear, the cache was found and retrieved. I left my log and was able to replace it without any problems.
My thanks to Partic for another local, historical cache.
