Out with 3 Grandchildren & the 9yr old really worked hard looking for this one but no luck, possibly missing ?

06-Jan-08
Have had two goes at this one but no luck. First time I got muggled out and the 2nd go I spent quite a bit of time but it has eluded me.....

10-Nov-07
GPSr all over the place with this one and a couple of young boys playing nearby cramped my style a bit, "what are you looking for?" a couple of times, sheesh, is it that obvious?

Will need a re-visit and hopefully muggle free next time!

Out West in XenaCommanders car, the battleship.... all the bikes are in rest mode today. After collecting a trademe purchase from the airbase we dialed up some local caches. This is a nice secret spot... obviously well used by the local teens for sly grogging etc. We plodded down the path to find a great view. Sadly TK was not firing on all cylinders today, so XC had his mitts on the goods in double quick time... well done XC (hisssssssss)
Awesome views back to the city so it is well worth the side trip, thanks Zork.

Out caching in the car..!!@#$%!#$% Yes a car... Bikes in garage resting.
Never done much exploration around this area..
GPSr took us close and XC soon had it in hand while TK was up the bank... Cats will find any excuse to climb a tree.
Cache was empty apart from the log.
Signed log and left calling cards.

Well after getting a FTF tonight, we thought we try and clean up this area.

Only armed with a torch and the GPS, we headed into the park. I remember people saying this was a hard one to find. But the cache was located pretty quickly even without the hint.

Great views from Ground Zero of the city lights, TNLN. Thanks for the cache.

18:00hrs--Another one for Doug n Dad. Still using google earth, no GPS. We went up to the shops to get dinner ingredients for S.W.I.T.B.O... geez we are only males & got a bit lost (dinner 40 mins late)... a good hunt following hint produced nothing.... gave up on hint & just looked where we would hide it. Bingo!! there it was. Have seen many people sitting here during summer when we are sailing from the club opposite...its a real popular spot.
Thanks for the great evenings sport for a dad & his lad.

Been waiting for some time to locate this one. Arrived at a beautiful beach with a great view. Easy find in the end behind the stone door. Left tiny craft pot took space monkey for a visit to town! Someone bring a pencil nexttime the one in here is at the end of its life!

Easy find. Nice spot.

Out: Supercacher geocoin.

25-Jan-07
After walking through a Danger Keep Out tape further up the track we found it in the obvious place. A local kid came past on a bike and stopped to chat, he knew what we were doing, and pointed us in the direction of another cache closeby. Seems the local kids may have put the tape across the track, appeared to be nothing dangerous going on. TNLN. Discovered the Super Cacher before he moved on.

Showed up to the cache site to be found out by Adnshe sitting on the bank. Went for a walk to give them time to rehide the goodies. The lady with the dog took forever to leave then a short hunt using the clue. Was the last Zork V for the day.

This was our 2nd visit and this time we knew more or less where we should be searching and yes, there it was, thank goodness!
Filled in log and was about to replace when we interrupted by some locals with a dog so we settled down to wait them out. Just then another family arrived, but these looked a little different - it was probably the yellow GPSr in their hand that gave it away. Turned out to be Caitlin mum and dad on the hunt too. It was nice to meet up and have a quick chat with another geocacher.
Thanks for the cache ZorkV

A quick find at a very picturesque spot. High(ish) tide an a fleet of small boats racing completed the view.

08-Oct-06
On arrival man and his dog were sitting just about on top of ground zero so we had to go for a bit of a walk-about until the coast was clear. No problems with find.Nice spot.

Found this one with Beauty & the Beast. Quite a few Muggles around with little kids. We pretended to be interested in taking a lot of photos (resulting in a few strange photos). Signed as "C+D".

Nice spot, can imagine it would look really nice when the tide is in. Lots of muggles here on Sunday afternoon, but it was pretty easy to distract them. No swaps, thanks for the cache.

little difficult to locate initially - but we were successful after a short while.

My wife and I went for a walk on Valetines day and decided to look for a cache in the local neighbourhood. After a half an hour we had success, my wife is great at spotting.

3.45pm. Our second visit here this time aided by a little extra advice from The Pud. Found it in what now appears an obvious place to look but had been distracted to look in other likely places by the detail of the cache location description on the earlier occasion. Good to have got this one off the failed list.

Found pretty easily. We must have been following the previous logger who also found Lawsons Bridge just before us. Saw a different view of the city which was nice. No exchanges made. Thanks.

Rather pleasant littyle spot. No one round so finding was easy. Plenty of "rubish" in the area after the storm ast week. TNLNSL. Cheers

5.42pm. Finally on our third visit. [:d] Lucky, because this would have gone on the 'NEVER look again list' if we had had another DNF.

[First visit for 2006! and our first find for 2006!
Took a bit of finding. Im not sure that the clue helps] I would not say it was 7 meters from end of path, as I think it was under the path.
[We had a great trip appart from being eaten alive by mozzies (must remember to pack the insect repellant).
Kids really enjoyed a quick walk on the beach before we headed of for the next cache nearby (Lawsons Bridge).
TNLNSL
Thanks for the great cache and a visit to a park we would never have gone to otherwise.

03-Jul-05
Plenty of action here today with the Westpac helicopter making careful sweeps overhead the whole time we were there. Of course this mean't all the local kids and many adults were hanging around on the beach to get a good view. This might have been a good excuse for not finding the cache but it reality it was perfect as they were all distracted while we hunted. I suspect there is a trick to this one that we were not bright enough to figure out?

02-Jul-05
Got a bit confused with the description of 'sone door' but worked is out in the end. Did not take long to find as we had five sets of eyes.
Took blue smiley face magnet and left golf tee.

found with family from California, nice walk in park to the beach.last of the day. The Golfers found this one. The clues were a bit confusing on this one.

This one is really starting to bug me [v]

My second attempt, but I think the gods were against me from the start. I have had 4 other DNF this afternoon, so thought I'd give this another go.

But no it still no luck.

I'll be back (for the third time)GGGRRRRRRR.

Cheers M+S

06-Jun-05
It was dark and we went in by torchlight, came out by torchlight without reward. Will give it another go in daylight. City lights looked nice but no satisfaction.
Cool M&P.

06-Jun-05
Don't give up folks. It's still there but not obvious. Daylight might be a help, I know I wouldn'thave got it in the dark. Not so sure about the 7 meters from the end of the path... I guess it depends how you look at it. Took us quite a while but we got it in the end. Actually I think it's the way t'other'arf looks at things that got it.

GOTCHA at last.
So 'Gollum' did not snatch it after all!

The cache pot was pleased to receive a 100 drachma banknote and in return offered up the travel bug.

'Buggy' is now planning to indulge in a little overseas travel. Whether he will appreciate his future location remains to be seen.

The 'Stone Door' (seven metres from path end)is easily found. Kicked away undergrowth in vicinity of 'Stone Door', but no cache. Suspect pirates have absconded with 'booty'

28-Mar-05
This one is starting to bug me, this was my second visit and I still havent even got to search for it other than a cursory glance around. First visit it was dogs, lots of dogs and of course there owners. Today was just wierd and a bit scary at the same time. Arrived at the end of the path, and F whispers Muggle with a gun. I look up from the gps screen and shes right, a young asian with a large rifle. On seeing us he dissapears into the bank about 10 metres from the path and re-emerges with the weapon now in its case. OK I feel a bit better now. We pretend to be interested in other things and he walks over and takes a seat at the end of the path. Looks like he's waiting for us to leave. Time to give up, will be back another day.

20-Mar-05
Went to get this one as it's been on the radar for a while. Too many muggles around the first to time we thought we would head off to do 'Lawsons Bridge' http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=27327507-602a-4c72-8624-affd831fad72
Can back about a half hour later and they are still there (what do you do on such a small beach for sooooo long) finally they left, just as another muggle showed up. By then we had had enough [:(!] We will be back but not on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

I was late meeting JDHnz and LRPnz at the cache, but was lucky enough to find it first Smile TNLNSL

Took some photos across the water to the city, with a couple of sailboats in the foreground. Nice spot on a very warm sunny day.

We were looking around for ages for this one while waiting for 1ST220 to join us, then the frustration continued a little while longer before he eventually found it in the end. TNLNSL, thanks.

13-Feb-05
Lovely view and very peaceful at the end of the afternoon. Found the cache without any trouble and took the TB and left the orange karabiner (must check how to spell that). Thanks Zork.

08-Feb-05
This was actually my second visit. I did not log the first as I stopped by on Anniversary Day with out the description and I was under intense mugglr observation so abandoned the search very quickly.

The GPSr was finding the satellites much better today and I went straight to it.
The second I put my hand on it the rain started so a hasty logging was necessary.

TNLNSL Thanks Zork V
