Spice was looking forward to this one all day. However when we got there the GPSr headed us up hill and around to the cache. It wasn't until we headed back to the car that we realized that there was another more direct and much easier route.
Great to see such a decent sized and well kept cache.
Took the book & left 2 talking monsters, TFTCSL.
Find #408 for Echo & Spice.

Took a while searching round had us stumped for a bit ubtil we got the exact co-ordinates huge find
DNF-[:(!] gettin' annoyed now looked for 5, and am 5 for 5 DNF's... On way home from Gembrook back to Geelong after a day of abseiling at Gilwell Park Scout Camp. Got to WP1 just on dusk thought about it for a while and decided, Yes!, I will do it, as I started making my way to GZ GPS batteries went flat[:(!]so mission was aborted until my next venture down this way. So, back to the car that was parked at WP1, not having GPS going, unable to follow tracks back and over shot car by about 150m, made my way back down from the road, now totally disheartened, and disgusted with the bloody batteries, I am packing it in and going back to Geelong... until the next visit to my next scout event this way! (And will be bringing more batteries with me, or at the very least remembering to plug the battery charger... DOH!!!!!)
Found by edmil, Maddie had to work so she missed out on this one. Wow what a huge cache. After arriving at WP1 I quickly had the details required for the cache. Unfortunately as I entered the last details the rain decided to make an appearance. What to do? What the heck it wasn't far and the rain wasn't too heavy. Good call by the time had got to the cache the rain was all but non existent. It didn't take long to spy the location - sort of stuck out like a squashed lizards tongue. I soon had the lid and enjoyed checking out the goodies of which there were plenty. In the end I decided on taking the TB to move it on and swapped a flashing spinning top for a geocaching pin.
Thanks for a great cache. Should have done it ages ago.

Found by the Mudsters at 1350 on a nice Sunday arvo drive around the area. After a long detour (Mr Mud geographically embarrassed!) we arrived at GZ to find the "mother-lode". This is the biggest cache we have found and the amount of stuff it contains must be seen to be believed! Unfortunately we had no swaps (due to my poor planning!), however who knows - we may be back again some time.
Glad to see this one is not to be closed down. A fantastic cache, a fantastic site and a beautiful Sunday afternoon - what more could you want!
Cheers big ears!

We came the night before to find out the clues, but it was too dark to find it. Today went ready to find it, a few muggles around. This is a really neat find with lots of stuff. Noticed you were going to take it away, glad you didn't. Took Casino chip left white ambulance.
I have decided top keep this cache. I will have a bit of time to check in and maintain this one. And I come past every few weeks.
Unfortunately due to many circumstances I will be disabling all my caches. My work and other committments have not given me the time to check on or maintain my caches neither has it allowed me to complete any caches.
It does not mean I have quit caching all together. I will still do a few from time to time..
Sorry if this inconvieniances anyone. If anybody would like to take over the cache please email me at [email protected]

We arrived to successfully find the answers to the clues, then took the wrong track to GZ and ended up making it quite hard for ourselves with an unnecessary hillclimb! Cache found still sufficiently concealed, its contents dry and in good nick. TNLN & SL at 4:20pm. Then we found an easy way out! TFTC - we enjoyed the walk - no, really we did...
Found this one today, coordinates were off a bit, but managed to locate it, nice spot, huge cache! TFTC, took the TB's to get them moving, and dropped in a snake. cheers
Found this cache on a nice Saturday afternoon. The wife walked straight past the location saying to herself "It won't be there.. that's way too obvious" without realising how huge the container is!
Such a pleasure to find a real cache! Great walk too, if a bit brisk! Thanks xf king
Took a geocoin.

Awesome. I know the rules make it harder ni impossible for these kind of caches these days so finding some of the older ones are fantastic. Such large caches make it easy to hold plenty of really cool stuff. Thanks for the walk and a chance to drop off a few tb's to continue on their travels.
Wow, what a treasure bucket it was. The area was beautiful and even in the rain it was a wonderful bush walk. The little man did end up rather muddy but smiling.
Took a Kitty Headband and Car - Left a Love Heart bear and Space shuttle.
Thank you for a nice cache.

Thank you for a nice cache.
We were in the area for a photo show at Emerald, so we nipped over to grab the cache. We had worked out the clues before we arrived, so it was just a quick check before walking to GZ. GPS wasn't too flash in the trees, but such a large cache can not stay hidden for too long.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Another easy find after the GPS settled down, and an enjoyable stroll in the bush.
Many thanks

Found this afternoon with Oenze. We sorted out the easy clues and trekked through the forest to GZ. Glad of the clue as dodgy GPS coverage for both of us today. TNLN thanks XF King
12th find of the day at 1:44pm on our hit the eastern suburbs again expedition with our bikes accompanied by Feathertop. After doing the sums we were walking to GZ and Owen said that he will never get a Magelan as it always seems to find the cache a lot later than the Garmin, but this time the Garmin Overshot and the Magelan was the victor. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx XF King....
Our second cache of the day in our “Follow alansee around the Dandenongs†day. The GPS started erratically, and the track we took had that unpleasant feeling that we were on the wrong one, but with a bit of trial & error we found the cache.
In mini torch.
Out AA batteries. (Hmm could be useful later if they are not flat!)
Signed log at 1100 hrs

Found the cache even with the flaky GPS signal.
Kids enjoyed finding their first larger cache.
Took - Toy yo-yo
Left - 5 x Toy "knuckles"
Logged vist.
Also took the 2 x Travel bugs (Jaws, and 55 T-Bird) as they had been there for a while, and now they can go on a trip to South Australia next weekend.

Even though the cache was found recently I decided to drop by to see the nearby fire damge for myself. Thank god it has missed the cache. The cache was all well and is dry. TB is still inside and awaits a new home..

As I was working out the co-ords for this one a ute with a barking rotweiler in the back pulled up and the guy proceeded to let the dog out without a leash and off they headed down one of the tracks. I was relieved to see that the GPSr was taking me in another direction. When I arrived at GZ the GPSr was a bit changeble but the cache was found in a couple of minutes. The area on the other side of the track has had a fire go through (lucky it was on the right side). TNLN thanks XFKing.
Seems like this area is not busy in the past few months. I shall come by soon and do a check on the cache.

Found at 12.15pm. A lovely walk in a very big forest. Easy to get lost here. GPS had a bit of trouble initially but after a while the way was clear. Found OK. TNLN Thanks xf king.
This great big cache was find #7 for Team Quasar and the nephews today. After some initial difficulty in finding the right track in, the cache was located with minimal trouble. Dropped off 55-T-Bird, and picked up Ruby the Travel Dog. Also took some Aussie figurines and the "Hole in one" mug. Left Star Trek novel, REM CD and a yoyo. Thanks XF king, this is a great stash.
Thought that we would check on how Jaws and Ruby were going and found GZ fairly quickly. Both TBs were happy, and so they should be in such pristine surroundings. Took Cap and Koala Purse. Left Colouring Pencils Set and Auto Fuses and Circuit Tester.
Thanks XF King from the JigJam Clan.

This is the biggest cache we have yet encountered, and somehow the name Ivan Milat kept coming to mind . I couldn't help but picture an xf falcon without lights cruising up to the parking bay and a hooded figure wielding a crowbar and shovel slinking off into the forest with a large bucket containing the gruesome remnants of his victims . Just kidding xfking (although I'd love to have heard your explanation if the local constabulary had dropped by while you were digging that hole ).
It was a great cache with great contents but we had nothing suitable to swap so TNLN
Thanks xfking

Found at 2.20pm GAFF1 after overshooting GZ by about 20 metres. We must walk very fast! Great to see large containers again and it was still a well hidden cache. Lots of rosellas around this park as well. Took: Cutter knife, Jade & Simon Says TB's, Left: Batteries, Ruby & Jaws TB's
I used a street directory and mapping software to determine the final coordinates for this one before I left home. I stopped by the sign on the way in to confirm that my assumption about the colours was correct. It had been raining thisarvo; there were puddles everywhere, and the track was as slippery as a . . . I didn't read the cache description properly, and I found myself wandering around a patch of very wet undergrowth, and I found that the puddles were not restricted to the tracks. [B)]
When the GPSr settled down it pointed me directly to the cache at 1640. I was glad of the rain now, because it apparently kept the muggles away. As it says in the description, it would be good to have a cockatoo posted to keep an eye out for walkers. I dropped off two Travel Bugs here too. Thanks to xf king for the cache. It's great to see such a big container.
IN: Hole-in-one coffee mug (freshly washed and in a new zip-lock bag)
OUT: Mini back pack/camera bag

After solving the clues, headed of to GZ, actually passed the cache while doing an explore of the area. Returned to the location and found the cache. Took TB, left mini headphones.

Wow, what a huge cache. Normally, the only caches of this size were hidden several years ago. I bet kids would get excited at the size and quality of the swaps. The cache was found today in the company of the Chookies' Rooster. I took a ball and left a hobby knife. Thanks for the cache, and for a lovely walk through the forest.
Pulled up at the first waypoint, sorted out the clues and we off for a brisk stroll in the late afternoon sun. This one really was a treasure bucket. You don’t see many caches this size in Victoria especially newer ones .
Took Stubbie Holder
Left Inflatable Helmut and TB Travel Bug who was looking for a home just like this as he needs lots of room.
Thanks xf king for an excellent cache.

What a fantastic sized cache.
Why are there not more of these sized caches. This was a wonderful find. A great sized cache with lots of decent swaps in it. [^][^][^]. I took a battery, and replaced it with a Large New bandage. I was so impressed with the size of this cache that I emptied all the remainder of my stash goodies in as well, including, CPR chart, Combine first aid dressings, & a bunch of flouro toys.
this was a great park & a wonderful find. Thanks & Very well done XF King

Found by Mary & David at 1550. We've been to this car park before! Loved the walk in to GZ. Long time for us too since we've seen a cache this size. Contents were all snug and dry. Took bottle opener, left a manicure set. Our thanks to xf king.
This was a great DRIVE-BY Cache.
Mr.Coffee and the Clan have driven past this cache many times and today we had the opportunity to stop.
After working out the clues I noticed the tracks were wide enough for the 4x4 so we gently drove along until the cache was 12metres from the vehicle.
Thanks XF king for the great cache, its SIZE, and its location.
Enabled us to leave a poster and cap, taken balsa glider plane and maths game.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the drive-by Clan.

Found at 7:15pm. We were at home almost going mad. A whole weekend almost past and not a single cache find to our name. As "S" had already had a visit here a couple of days ago, he stood back and let 4 y.o. "A" have the pleasure of the find. He immediately took a liking to a dinosaur and traded a koala coin purse.
Thanks Xfking from D,S & A B-A. Buckets of fun .

Checked on this cache to make sure that it is still where it is supposed to be and that the gound around the hole i dug has not sunken. Good to see that everything is niece and clean. After all the storms we have had over the past 2 days I found that there was a storm made creek running right down the path and only 30 centimetres away from the bucket. No water was found in the bucket so i think it has sealed well.
Found 17:15, a great location and a great cache [^]
Took TB Percival Platypus and left stubby holder, thanks to XF king.

In the area to get clues for another cache, this newie was nearby and just had to be nabbed. We arrived at GZ, got the clues and headed off for an easy find at 12:40. Boy, I love the big ones!!!
I wanted the TB but EuDes herself had her heart set on a dinosaur so we "bought" one with a Sydney Casino $1 chip.
Thanks xf king .
Hints for Young players #1: Make sure all cache contents are in the cache when you close a tough lid (d'oh)
HfYP #2: There is no water in the car park. Bring gloves or wash-up provisions (double d'oh).

Entered via the not more flatter entry and sat and worked through the maths then off the GZ. Well this is the bigest cache I have seen in the area . The hardest part was geting the lid off. No muggles today so that was good.
Took safty glasses and TurboBuggie TB
Left 6 Volt 4.2A/H rechargable SLA battery (good in dolphin torches with 6 Volt globe) & the Percival Platypus TB
The multimedia TB visited too.
Would have been a bit of work planting that "big boy".
Thanks XF King

After a small (?) detour on the way to work I located this cache after about a 10 minute search.
Great to get another FTF after a week off caching.
Note to those who follow: "cache is only just off the main path" means cache is only just off the main path
Don't be misled, as I was, by the tracks leading off into the scrub.
Top marks to MB for for this cache. It is HUGE. .
The initial contents of this cache are so good that I could only trade down, so I TNLN.
Second note to those who follow: Bring big swaps.
Dropped of TB TurboBUGgy whilst I was here.
Third note to those who follow: A pair of gloves will help keep your hands, and the cache contents, clean.
