A few months ago I injured my back and after a long time in physiotherapy I am able to walk on a horizontal surface but I was not able to meet the demands of maintaining my caches. I was hoping for improvement in the coming days. I archived Lady Of the Lake because the cache and a clue went missing. I had hoped to rectify the situation but because of my condition it took a long time. I also understand that geocaching.com will endeavour to clear areas of archived caches to make way for other cachers to place caches there. Today I went out and removed all the tags I could find (looks like one was gone) and the cache was also missing. It was a terrific walk around the lake - now someone can make a new one.
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
G'day Cache Rangers. Any chance of getting this one back in play or should it be archived freeing up the area for new caches? Regards, Andrew.
After our DNF due to a missing tag 9 weeks ago, a friendly cacher gave us the co-ordinates to waypoint 3, so today we decided to search again for the Lady of the Lake. We found the waypoint 3 tag easily, but spent a bit of time looking for waypoint 4 thinking it was the cache location, but we finally found the tag which led us to the final waypoint 5.
We managed to match up the spoiler photo with the right tree, even though it's grown and looks a little different now. We searched high and low around here, but couldn't find the cache anywhere. Alas! once again we will have to post a DNF. Thanks for the hunt anyway Cache Rangers.

I haven't been to this lake in many years, but it is still a nice little lake to walk around. We found the first waypoint after a quick search, and walked off to find the next one, but no waypoint could be found anywhere! Searched high and low, and I think the tag may have been on a log? If so, we found the log torn out of the ground and dumped a few metres away. If there was a tag there, it has been removed. Might need to be looked at.
Thanks for the enjoyable walk and hunt anyway Cache Rangers.

13:00 Nice walk, easy find except I had to send one of the kids back to the car to get a pen. TFTH
Had a nice trip around the lakes, very pretty. Unfortunately I missed the note that said the micro didn't contain a pencil so when I did find the cache at the end, I wasn't able to sign it.
Thanks for the tour around a really nice place.

While doing some cache maintenance, we noted that areas that had been water-covered a couple of months ago were starting to dry out now. Ooh! That means that WPT4 might be accessible now!
So, we went to the familiar spot and looked in a couple of places that were a bit wet on previous visits, and found a tag in a matter of moments.
The cache followed soon after, although a keyholder's a bit anti-climactic after all this.
Thanks for showing us around this lovely lake!

Found it we did - today. Yesterday? That was another a story. We were going great guns up to Waypoint 4. Swing like a monkey, did I. Had inability to see the wood for the trees, did I. Grrr. Still, we wouldn't have had time to stop for a yummy snack if we'd completed this one yesterday so alls well. Thanks for the hunt!
Tough little multi. Nice walk around the park, Had big trouble finding wp4. couldn't see it for looking. Found cache no problem and a bonous was the mulberrie tree full of ripe you guessed it.....mulberries. yum.

This is the first one we started about 3 weeks ago. Gave up on the 4th waypoint. Decided today to have a 2nd try. After losing my sunnies in the water and almost slipping in myself I found the 4th tag purely by accident. Signed the log. Thanks for the cache.
Have had this on the to-do list for ages, so today the crew went for a BBQ lunch in the park and a beautiful walk around the lakes!
Found Waypoints 1, 2 and 3 with no problems.... waypoint 4 was another story! We should have brought along our pet monkey, instead it was up to Comdek to swing through the trees!!
Found the cache easily.
Thanks Cache Rangers for a great afternoon out in a beautiful spot.

Mmmm...we found WP's 1,2 & 3 but got a little bit stuck on the last one as the lake is full of water at this time of the year. The search was also aborted due to some keen photographers arriving and setting up their tri-pods very close to where we were looking.
Have only been to this area once for a picnic and that was on a 42 degree day!!! What were we thinking!!! So seeing the lake so full was a beautiful sight.
We'll be back...

Thought I'd start this one off today...BUT...Zues left the paper containing the log behind! doh!! However we did find the bee hive so couldn't have been too far away from WP1. No dogs are actually allowed here OOPS so will come back with GeoMum another day when we don't have our geodoggies with us.
Couldn't believe the birdlife at this place, there are lots and lots of them. Knew of the lake over the road but never noticed this one for some strange reason. Enjoyable walk around it though.
We will be back!

Have had the final coordinate for some time now and decided that it should be taken of the list of ones to do. Found it with no problems and signed log.
Thanks for the cache.

This cache is the nearest to my home address and it has taken 3 months to find it. Two months thirty days to find the first tag (found the bees ok) because I made certain assumptions I shouldn't have. Once I knew what I was looking for I did the rest in one hop.
Most excellent hunt. The co-ordinates were very good. Last tag took about ten minutes to find and I managed not to fall in. Cheers.

A Mystical Place it is - ShorterCut - Lucky you survivived- those who follow - beware! bwaa-haa-haa
The log was in a plastic bag but evidently not waterproof. We replaced it with a dry one and put the whole key case in a plastic bag. Hope this works better. We placed this cache in the summer when everything was very dry. Now, the last clue isn't under water but you may have to stand in the water to view it.

Like a few others, we came a cropper at the final waypoint. It's pretty slippery around there now, and very close to a brim-full lake! We'll come back another day and have another look. A lovely lake to wander around on a fine winter's day, regardless!
We had found all of the tags (I hope) but did not find the cache, we may have been one tag short of a cache
Came back to complete by finding the 4th tag and the final cache. Last time there was no water in the lake where the 4th tag was located nearby, and it is now filled up. Thankful, we did not have to climb down into the water to find the 4th tag. Found the final cache and the note was soaked in the plastic bag in the magnet key holder. Thanks for a nice walking exercise around the interesting lake, The Cache Rangers.
I got home early from work and felt I needed a walk in the park. Pity I chose such a humid day (32c). This would be a nice picnic area during those warm spring days and even on such a warm day there were still muggles walking their dogs. Things progressed well after almost walking into the bees at the start. The 4th tag would required a walk on water or around water in winter when coming from the 3rd tag. I just walked on the dry lake bed which saved a bit of distance. The cache was well hidden and a stick was used to poke and prod the leaves until the cache was revealed. I wrote the team name on the long paper scroll and replaced it as it was found. All tags are in good order. The First tag is about 6m from the bees so dont go hunting too close to the hive. Thanks for the walk...
Finding the first waypoint was a challenge.......found the bee's with no worries. This in turn helped us find the first tag.
Once we realised what we were looking for the rest were straight forward.
Mr Westy enjoyed the bird watching (feathered)and was surprise at how many different birds considering how low with water the lake was.

Found 9:30 am today, this was our second attempt because my wife couldn't find the fourth metal tag first time round.
Anyway If you find the fourth tag the rest is easy.
This is a very enjoyable cache hunt thanks `Cache strangers' whoever they are.

Started this before it was found with the hope I could make it a first find. Was seaching for the final co-ords (at least I think they were the last ones) to the cache but for some reason I just couldn't find them. Arrival of persistent muggles meant I had to give this one away for the day.
Came back today for another shot but still couldn't find the obvious. Armed with the cache spoiler photo I managed to find cache anyway. It feels like a hollow victory though.

Back in the mid 80's I worked in this area watering parks and ovals for Gosnells Council, and have had intentions of putting a cache in or around here. You've beaten me to it Mel, but I do have a critisism. You left me wanting more - and it was about 38 degrees today. Perspiring heavily and I didn't want to go home. Mary Carroll Park is one of the prettier parks in the metro area though more so in winter when the lake has more water. Birdlife abounds here, so leave your watch at home and bring a picnic lunch and perhaps an umbrella and at take your time to enjoy the peacefulness of one of (if not) the best wetland areas around Perth. This cache is a MUST DO for everyone.
This is a great area for bird watchers lots of 'em around.
You couldn't find a place to place a normal cache? ... what about in the middle of that muddy claypan ... would be interesting mid winter
Anyway it was a hot walk on Sunday but discover the Lady's secret we did, are you sure that is the remnants of the sword? looked more like an FB holden too me
To those following us .. watch out near the first waypoint as there is a bees nest not more than 5 meters from the tag. I got close (1meter) to photograph them and they didn't seem to mind but if your allergic ... keep your eyes open.
