Logs
Well, after three years of being a very active cache and somewhat elusive to many cachers, this cache has had to be archived. It has indeed been muggled. Most probably after the voracious weed killing that has been recently done about the cache site.
The park is still a great place to come, and if you have time, please stop and look at the Rock next to the bridge. It has a plaque on it donated by a Lions Club, hence the name. The cache was hidden under the back of the rock.
Thanks to all those who have found this and added interesting comments.

DNF. I searched a few potential places at the GZ and couldn’t find it. Then BaldEd said that it was not where he had previously located it. This cache needs checking out.
I'm sorry but i think this cache is gone.....
Searched everywhere and after 2nd visit we gave up.

4th one late in the day and didn't search too long. will come back to try to find it as our dog really liked the dog park which we checked out 1st!!
Hunted for ages - four of us as well. An Asian gentleman stopped by thinking we had lost something (he arrived suddenly), so it was the old dropped key trick. Nothing found!
Luvly quick find on a walk with 4 dogs, and some small humans. Cache somewhat exposed (maybe the recent rains), tried to cover it up a bit. TFTC
I can't believe I didn't find this on my first attempt. I notice that the area has been tidied up quite a bit since then though so I am trying to kid myself that it is easier to find now!

This is a really nice park. The rock was a 'pleasure' to find - a supporter you have found. Hope that is suitably cryptic as equally as intriqing? TFTC TNLNSL
Dog loved the water. We floundered around and were very happy when we found it! Great hide.
Great hide - kept going round & round it before finding it.
- Lovely Sunday walk. TNLN.

This has to be doggy heaven, so many happy dogs, was a bit worried when i say all the cars in the car park but the cache site was well out of the way which was great. Nice spot Near by to have a rest and fill out the log and a great cache to mark my 600th cache TFTC
Exercising the dog today,
at the nearby fenced off yard.
We came across the Lions Rock,
it wasn't all that hard.

Nice spot, will definitely visit there again for picnics and walks. My 5 year old found the cache, no problem! Thanks!
Took a little while to find this one. Eventually spied the hiding place from a distance after already looking close up twice.
Very big leech attached to the cache container! EEEEK!
Took car and piece of mother of pearl, left a couple of LED lights.

Found the cache after looking around for a while. Took a frog keyring and broken pencil stub, added a green toy car and a new pencil.
We had to have another crack at this one, as we just couldn't find it last time, but it's easy when you know how! We've picked up the T4TC Geocoin and will find it a new home soon.
I have visited this park often and did not realise the cache was here. Lovely tracks around this cache. Dropped off Geocoin T4TC.
A quick side trip on the way home. Not too many muggles due to the rather persistent rain. Easy find. TNLN, thanks.
took a while to find - not that it was difficult, only that we didn't take much notice of the title! mmm, must read the instructions next time.
Got this while doing another cache here,I looked everywhere but in the right spot, but got it in the end, another cache to help us enjoy this area,,cheers and thanks,
This marks another great Geocaching experience where I found I place I would have never know had Geocaching not brought me here. Thanks.
Nothing like a bit of caching to work off some Xmas pudd.. The great southern cache hunt claims another victim.

2nd cache of the day. Had the kids with me this time and LOTS of debate about the correct way of approaching the cache! Great place though.
Cheers

First log in the new book Did this one whilst out and about doing Cabbage Tree Teaser, nice spot for a sit down. TNLN Thanks.
Nice quick find. Almost made things harder than they needed to be.
Log book is full, and needs another - we didn't have one with us, unfortunately.

Find #30!! 2 of 2 today. Took me longer than expected. (Looked right passed it once) Great park and nice hide! Very busy time of day with runners/walkers. Logged in/out "Skipper TB". TNLN/SL TFTC

Easy find after dropping off the campervan nearby. Great trip 'round the south island, and a nice little cache too... TNLNSL thanks
If this cache is where the title suggests then it should be an easy find, unfortunately it's not there. (There is an empty cache sized hole under the one on the right hand side) It may have been muggled? We would be keen to hear if anyone else can find it...

9:30am, #2 of day four of our week in Chch (that's 50 so far). Bought us to another of these great reserves in Chch, really like them.
When we got to GZ there was a retired muggle couple sitting within metres [:(!] so we decided to give it a miss. Just as we got in the car they decided to leave so we did manage to complete this cache. Thanks Bucko boys and Sarah.

A great name for the cache, which is very accurate in co-ords. Left a ball bearing marble, and took a mini phantom mask. Loved this lovely spot. Thanks
Didnt know this place existed prior to recent Press coverage.
A very enjoyable walk for the other side past lake and stream on a typically English feeling winters day.
Roared in for a quick find once mugglesx4 departed.

Great Cache! great location. Muggles were more interested in our dog than what we were doing!!! Very muddy due to recent rains.Took Dragon as it was too big for cache, left key and ball bearing.
It helps to have your GPS set correctly. Two previous visits this week were fruitless. Exchanged a purple pastic paper clip for a purple lizard
A quick find once my GPS settings were reset, they got mucked up last week while helping 'Hello Mrs'with her settings.
Most people probably do this as a drive by, but for me it was a 4km return walk from the sister in laws house while the girls were doing their thing. Easy find, cleaned the clips on the box so that it would shut properly.

Just getting into geocaching, this one is the closest to home and not too hard to find either, thanks. TNLN
Two from Two for the day. Never knew this park existed, one to put in the memory banks for a picnic. TNLN

Our first cache off the plane this trip.
My wife had this one in hand while I was still circling with the GPSr in hand.
Luckily she managed to avoid the hazard described by the previous finder.
W were amazed the number of dogs exercising nearby though.

Found it eventually. Thought i'd better go and read the instructions after thinking I'd found it when it was a plastic bag of dog poo in the flax. Re-reading it gave me the 'eureka' feeling and I quickly found it then. TNLN. Hatas
This was our first try but it was late at night and wet and we didn't find it. Came back today after finding 2 others and found it straight away.

Nice One!!!!!!!Easy find. GPS was spot on and cache name sealed it. Pouring with rain, therefore a quick stop. Must return and spend more time in this unique reserve.TNLN Thanks

i found it quite easly but with a wee bit of help from the expert.
ive come down from blenheim for a swimming meet and got dragged along and found it really fun.
oh yea some muggle dude ran past and gave us a funny look but he was soon gone looking quite confused.

It was great to find it as we have had a hard time getting geocaching right this afternoon! Thanks for making it straigtforward.Left a mask as there was not very much in the box. Took nothing. TFTC. Linleye.
Mr Buzz searched the rock and didnt find it, then Mrs Buzz had a mothers look and there it was!
We almost took the wrong entrance - and a 500m walk. It's not clear from the map that that is not necessary.
The boys were oblivious to the downright hint that I gave them- but found it eventually. A clever hide. We took mercury to the nearby dog park for a bit of socialising afterwards. TNLN - Thanks.

did this cache after visiting nearby attraction.took a few mins. as few runners and walkers about.thanks
Thrashed about without result until we went back to car and reread cache details, then kicked ourselves. Lost cow (from Fisherman's Friend) while back was turned, may have been eaten by lion. No trade.
I'd planned a visit to this cache to drop off Edna the Echnida TB who wants to be around animals - it seemed an appropriate spot. However, Edna and I found that she would have to lose a lot of weight to fit in the cache box - or else find a bigger home.
But we did like the hiding place - Edna applauds. No swaps.

I saw this one a couple of days ago, but didn't have time to look. Came back today with the family, and racing the rain; we found it where one would have though.

1118hrs.Myself and g/f out again hunting. A few muggles about walking. Had to pretend to admire the view of the water, as a muggle had stopped to admire the view also. + leopard - hairclip.
Duh... Looking at the name of the cache again might have been a good start, heh. Got it in the end, nice spot for it.

Out caching again after work with Swanny. I recommend the carpark down the road, near the corner under the big tree. From there, it's only 1km, over 2x barbed wire fences, 1 paddock and a carpark to the cache! Geeze - you'd think that after nearly 200 caches, I'd know how to park close to a geocache! Cheers!
