Found with buckoraider and many others but forgot to logReception was unavailable to me during this wonderful walk, so I missed out on the adventure lab here too But thats ok, nature was wonderful

Came with the group from the Geocaching NSW event, but being at the front of the group and trying to get enough reception to complete the AdLab, I completely forgot about this cache on the way past! As such I stopped off on the way back from the falls instead, and ended up searching alone. Clambering through the bush was an interesting challenge, I need longer legs! But soon I identified a likely target, and sure enough, the cache was there. Signed the log, but didn't take anything. TFTC!

Found as part of the Geocaching NSW event this morning while hiking among the trail to the waterfall.Such a magical place! So peaceful inside this forest despite being just a few hundred metres from the main road. Little bit of a scramble up to ground zero past some aggressively spiky plants! But made it up without too much incident. Many thanks, such a beautiful spot ??

Found during the Cascade Falls event run by Geocaching NSW, a great excuse for a slow, relaxing and nice walk along the river. I dashed up here with the big crowd of other cachers, making sure that our names got on the log. Great to find such an old cache in such a beautiful area. TNLNSL. TFTC Fleacircus!

I was driving down to Canberra from Sydney today, and via Shellharbour to visit a friend, so this cache ended up right on my way.Beautiful walk over to GZ and only a little bush bashing, pretty quick find once I got near enough to the coordinates, log signed and replaced as found.Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the logbook nice and dry.Greetings from Melbourne Tftc

20-Jan-24
Well that was interesting. Had me bush bashing and going all over the place. Then realised I didnt read the hint now I knew what I was looking for I eventually found the cache right under the rock I had walked right over in the first place. My coords were pretty off. Surprisingly I Didnt rip any clothing and didnt sustain any injuries apart from a stinging nettle. And after returning to the track I realised forgot to add my pathtag. Oh well. Thanks for the cache! Beautiful spot apart from one boy screaming the place down in the waterhole which broke the serenity TFTC

Today we are driving from Wollongong to Canberra. We had seen this walk on a previous drive, but at the time we were pulling our camper trailer and decided to continue on as the weather also was not very good at the time. Today was sunny, and so we took the opportunity to pull up at the nearby parking area and make this beautiful rainforest walk. On the return journey, we followed the information from the hint provided to help make our way to GZ. Despite the generous hint, it still took us awhile to locate the Hide, and in the end, it was a little lower, and about 8m to the east of where we had been searching. Hidden in beautiful rainforest, we enjoyed walking to the falls and watching kids having fun splashing around. Thanks Fleacircus Domsky

Deserves a lot more finds. Gorgeous warm along a lovely creek through lush rainforest. The faintest geotrail leading off the path. Got lucky and spotted it within ten seconds. Kept waking to some cool little waterfalls flowing nicely after recent downpours. Now to head to the escarpment

#8185 (5 of 22 today - including 5 Lab Caches)

Finally! Having been restricted to my LGA for soooooooooo long, I can finally get out in the worlds - up to a point. And this is pretty much the point! Not allowed to go much further than this.
On the trip down, I was hoping to grab a First2Find in Wollongong, but it was logged about 15 minutes before I could get there, so kept going to my target area.

Since my last physical find in August I had 10 Adventure Lab locations to grab, and grabbed all of them to keep the numbers - and a few souvenirs, ticking over.

So today, I went for a mix of Traditionals, Puzzles and Labs. Got most I went for but a few DNFs along the way - one or two probably due to impatience precluding a proper search.

And made my 8200 mini-milestone. Decided to make that the AL Bonus - in thanks for Labs keeping me going over the last 100+ days.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
And here was the highlight of the day - a nice bush trail to a waterfall and a cache not found in 10 months. And it's a 2005 placement to boot!

Started the walk and finally picked a spot to head into the bush - just as a muggle mother and kids approach from the other direction. Waited for them to move out of sight before heading cachewards.

Not sure what the new iPhone was telling me GPS-wise. Still early days and I need to get used to its quirks.
But the result was a bit of uncertainty re GZ. At one point I found myself 20+ metres away - laterally across the slope. So moved back and finally got to a spot that, under tree cover and heavy but thankfully not rainy skies, that said 1 metre. And I have a likely spot right here. But, like the half dozen other spots already checked it was empty. So circled around looking for somewhere likely when I realised I was standing on one. And yep, just near that 1 metre spot.
So hopped off and there it was! CIH.

Cache in top condition.
Signed, replaced and headed back to the trail, where a different mum and small child had stopped. Is this a busy crossing area?

We had a chat both on the trail and at the waterfall, before I headed back.
Top experience. Gets a favourite!

Noticing a waterfall along my track home I had to visit. Love rainforest walks that have waterfalls at their end and I was not dissapointed by this one. Though not a powerful fall it is pretty. Having a cache to mark the memory is good to.
The cache is in good condition though my GPS solidly put me at a gum tree with smaller rocks. Noting the hint I kept searching likely spots and so in found it. It's still full of things. Was a lovely spot. Took heaps of photos.

A nice walk beside the creak with Team MADZ. I even spotted a lyrebird on the walk back. Will certainly come back here in the summer for a dip.

Our first caching stop for the day. I love the places that caching brings you - we would never have discovered the falls had it not been for a container at the end. The morning was a little chilly, even more so under the tree cover, but it was a delightful walk there and back. I'd highly recommend this spot to bring visitors to experience this type of bush setting. Thanks Fleacircus, deserves a fave point.

We had quite a bit of a Geocaching dry spell recently, being unable to go for one reason or another, so we decided that today was the day we'd end that drought! We knew we wanted to go a bit further afield, that we wanted a nice walk with a creek/waterfall, and that we needed a big-ish container to drop off some trackables that we'd picked up in the UK. I had a bit of a look around the Geocaching map and decided that this one would be perfect!

We had a lovely walk through the rainforest, along the edge of a creek. We had really poor GPS reception, but managed to find the cache easily with the hint in mind. The logbook was a bit damp, so we laid it out in the sunshine for a few minutes and then put it inside a new bag to try and keep it dry. We also dropped the trackables that we had had in our possession for a while. Once the cache was back in place we continued on to the lovely waterfall, where the kids had a paddle in the water.

Great cache, thanks very much!

Stumble's Mate and I finally found this one after multiple attempts!! We were looking in the wrong spot the whole time!!!! P.s..... There is no Trackable in here.... Thanks anyways though

29-Jun-16
Second time attempting to find this cache. Used GPS this time which had more reliable GPS than the old phone did. Pumba2015 piked out on doing the climbing today as she went for a rather spectacular slide last time. So it was up to me to make my way uphill. I found myself in an area that was obviously destroyed by the recent ravishing rainfall that we'd had. I'd all but given up on finding the cache as the GPS kept sending me back smack in the middle of the devastation. I looked around a little more and spied something tuck up nice and snug - THE CACHE!! Awesome! Unfortunately the cache description indicated that there was a TB within but alas, no TB was found. TFTC anyway Fleacircus.

20-Nov-15
Parents, celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary today, had requested “a scenic drive, a waterfall and picnic” to mark the occasion. The forecast 40 degree heat changed the picnic to dinner in an air-conditioned restaurant (significantly the venue of their original reception) but the walk through a shady rainforest actually helped with the excessive temperatures which were less obvious and included an icy dip of the toes in the waterfall at the end. Though I’ve driven past a hundred times, this is the first time I’ve actually done this walk and if not for this cache leading me here (ok, I had an ulterior motive suggesting this particular waterfall), I would never have found my new favourite nirvana. Truly is an easy, beautiful walk where you can leave all your worries less than a kilometre from a busy road and civilisation. I’ll be back (on a cooler day) with camera and that picnic! Left Hedgehog TB whose last resting spot was a cemetery. Think he’ll prefer this bushland setting more for awhile.

I think the name of this cache doesn't reflect what a great walk along a rainforest trail it involves. I enjoyed the walk on a well maintained and defined pathway. Lots of birds singing a other chirps and frog croaks coming from the beautiful fern lined creek. Thanks for showing me this location. SL took GC. TFTC
