Chaos agents have thrown everything at this one, in our attempt to complete! Even to the extent of getting the Master Agent to disable it and take an assignment overseas....
Point 1 had previously been recovered, but even KAOS could not know the final location....
So today, under the very early morning sun, on way back to headquarters from another assignment, the drop location was investigated, and logged.
No KAOS possums in sight either. TNLNSL(travelling in stealth mode, which meant that with all the other equipment, a token to leave could not be carried(I forgot) )
Cheers Gwyndigo.

PS: Don't tell the other agents, but we would be able to continue the 'Dead Drop' stash. We have an idea of what to do with the 1st point to make it more KAOS proof! Contact us .... CoolCool
And the other one you have left, down south too.
Cheers

I still have the final location to do. Hopefully I can get to it soon and not miss out on what was an excellent idea.

No time to replace this cache before we leave (point 1 has been plastered into the wall!), and no way to maintain it afterwards. Archiving.

27-Aug-06
Point 1 has been targetted by hostile agents.

Anybody want to adopt this cache? I'm fleeing the country on September 28.

11-Aug-06
Data key has been checked ovr by HQ and is now repositioned.

Drop has been located and retrieved for further examination at HQ. Over

Found the first instructions without too much hassle. I abducted it for a half hour back to work to decode and enjoy the logbook.

WP2 took some thinking but then once on the correct GZ, there was some confusion when I found what appeared to be three cache containers next to a sleeping possum.

I returned tonight with some stealth and a home made lassoe stick and a torch in my mouth! After about 30 min I had the most recent cache in hand.

Thinking that it didn't belong where I found it I left it hanging around!

PS> The possum was gone at night!

Started this cache a very long time ago. Gathered all the intel. I neededbut just never got around to looking for the drop point. Today I had to visit somewhere in the city less than 100m from GZ so I stopped by to finally complete this adventure!
Replacement cache found and retrieved quickly on a quiet morning! TN Left some bubbles (perhaps useful as a smokescreen in the next agents get away!)
Cheers, TFTH.

We had actually logged this as a find in April. It wasn't until some conversations with others that we realised there is a second part to the actual cache. Have been driving past the cache for some time, but with the lack of traffic today decided to take a look.

The container was at the bottom of the location and the contents spilled all over inside. We replaced it with a new container and logbook until the owner can get to it. I'm not sure if the possum has died of natural causes or has choked on a small toy.

Yay! We actually started looking for this cache more than a year ago! After a few tries and a hint, we found the first waypoint. The clue really had us scratching our heads... We actually thought that the landmark was several times bigger! Anyway, only when we approached it we saw how to retrieve the cache... very well hidden.
Thanks for the cache (and the acting!).
Took nothing, left a star wars Tazo.

Found the data key no worries, but had no instruments with us to extract the data. Thought about taking it for a drive back home, but decided to return after we've maybe purchased a laptop. Played around with the Zire and a key back at home, but no luck with that. Will continue another day.

Sunday is the time to do city caches. Had the required instruments of tortue on board. At first the bugger wouldn't talk, but after a bit of torture, gave up his secrets. Due to previous torture sessions he needed a bandaid to hold himself together. He is also missing his hat.

Just passing through with a racing car TB.
Where else would this TB be today.

This time I was disturbed at WP 1 by a very nice couple of gentlemen and their poodle called Harry.

I shall have to return another time.

Pinch & A Punch for the fisrt day of the Month. Scored this one on the way to the bank. No agents to be seen, placed it back with out any danger. Cheers from "The Barramundi's.

Mission accomplished. I believe that my previous attempts have been thwarted by spy's acting as secret agents. This time i returned better prepared, and without the nibbler and posspet spy's.

After a quick stop at work, to pick up supplies (appologies to team nibbler, i owe them something, that enabled me to get this one), i parked right next to GZ, prepared myself for a quick dash.

Nearly had the sucker, when i dropped him. Second time lucky i had the sucker in my hand, bailed everything back into the car, so that i could sign the log without being seen.

Agent setsuojoku, shall retire for the day, happy to have solved this one.

All prepared with the MiniZyth recovery team on the way to see the Brewery Lights. Started this oh so long ago with a few attempts to date at recovery but no success due to other agents. We realised today could be the day with the city quiet and Kaos agents otherwise distracted.. Cache recovered by MiniZyth2 and replaced by MiniZyth1. TNLN. Thanks for a pretty cool cache.

It's been a long time between the start and the finish. A great cache, but Chris says don't do one like it again. Maybe 'cause I made him lean in to retrieve the cache, and it smelled like someone had pissed in there. No swap.

14-Nov-05
This one is getting interesting. After having a coffee with uncle posspet, organising our trip down the south east, we thought that we would give this a run.

Team nibbler joined us for the stroll to GZ. From there on it was comedy. Posspet boys spent most of the time with his backend sticking up in the air, whilst nibbler and i stood and lauged, whilst keeping lookout.

After several attempts we gave up for today, and will return yet again, to have a go with some different tools.

14-Nov-05
With my bum in the air and everyone laughing there was no way I could take in the seriousness of this spy business.

21-Oct-05
Was very confident of getting this one today. Team nibbler providing the tools, work providing the rest.

As we approached i made the comment that the bum on the bench would be harmless and anyway, he wouldnt be able to get near the cache, unless he had similar tools to us.

Had 1 attempt, before re-thinking another stratergy (and cursing the fact that i should have brought another tool out of my boot with me). Before even getting the chance to have another go, the bum was standing next to us, abusing team nibbler and myself for trying to catch a possum.

After explaining that we were there to clean the rubish up,and that there werent any possums in there, he promptly disagreed and told us to go away (well that wasnt the words used, but im not allowed to put them here), after a few more words, and him reminding me what i suck, we wondered off pissing ourselves laughing all the way back to work.

Shall return again. mabye with a beer next time just in case..

This cache was a challenge for this agent. Had two visits to this site during lunch break with setsujoku to find the lay of the land. Decided to go for it today ...... Visit one with Jnr Nibbler at 8 am no cache. Visit two with larger partner of Team Nibbler no cache!!!!!!! Decided to check in with Headquarters ,site right and camoflage had been changed same day. Visit three with Jnr Nibbler can see it but as Maxwell Smart would say "Missed it by that much" .8cms too short !!!!!!Visit four with all Team Nibbler members and modified equipment - keep it simple the gear to get this cache can be found in any blokes shed - THE CACHE WAS OURS !!!!! Thanks from Team Nibbler Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin

Drop camoflage repaired.

Repeat: the possums are *not* in the relevant place.

04-Oct-05
Visited this one with team nibbler at lunch time.

Came out with mixed results. On the up side, i realised that i was about 10m off with my GZ. On the downside i found the resident, and got a glare from it, which meant that i had found the right place.

Will return shortly, with less muggles watching, and some more tools.

Second visit to this site during lunch break . Possum still in residence. Will visit again with tools and some treats for the possum

03-Oct-05
Known where the final drop is for some time, but lacked the neccesary implement to retrieve it. Borrowed something from my grandmother today, but alas it wasn't up to the job. Twisted But wait... hang about, there's something lying nearby that just *might* do it.. Smile With a couple of tries I had the cache in my hot little hand. No swaps, but signed log and at last I can put this one to bed. [^]

Fantasic cache agent Gwindigo... mission took longer than expected but i wouldn't let it fail me, and today the cache was located and the log signed.

Drop still in position. Has been badly damaged by enemy agents. Perhaps still recognisable; may attempt recovery, or wait for replacement.

04-Sep-05
Well, we looked down every place we could. And every place up. Came across the KAOS agent one day so we left him alone and came back another day and another night (or 2). Thought he might have been hiding it but that wasn't the case. Found a few places matching previous descriptions but we're stumped.

24-Aug-05
Man, were we out by a long way last time! Borrowed, downloaded and returned key. Checked out suitable location a few nights later after getting a muggle intel operative to locate cache location.
Need tools for recovery...it was dark and my eyes didn't work very well..need plan to illuminate cache location at night using orbiting space-station and big laser.

21-Aug-05
No luck today, two geocachers and one non-geocacher visiting from the States are officially stumped. We climbed the various likely places and didn't see anything, walked in circles, scratched our heads, cursed, and pouted - all to no avail. Ah well, what can ya do? TFTC...

Interesting place for a cache. Requires some thought as to how to retreive it! Needs some repair. ParrotHead did some minor repair work before we replaced it. Took black Di. Left Apple necklace in case. This Minnesota gal is learning a lot about how to hide a cache, from my Australian friends! Thanks millions!

19-Jul-05
Am reliably informed that final drop location has taken some damage. Will repair this weekend.

19-Jul-05
After a few mins, found what i (and posspet boys) had been looking for.

Returned to work, retreived the contents, and will look at its contents later.

well I found the cache but now gotta get it out,

Don't you love light bulb moments. We have SA Parrothead to thank for finally finding this one. We read their log and *bing!*
aha.
We did indeed "find" - THREE times! We just didn't see it.
A quick and easy extraction in the end.
TNLN, thanks Gwyndigo for a really interesting cache.

15-Feb-05
I failed spy training school on this one.
I actually saw the cache in the first couple of minutes searching for it but didnt recognise it for what it was.
When prompted had I read the clue the light turned on and I returned.
The cache was soon in hand. Crafty bit of work that.
TNLN signed the log.
An fun caching experience.

13-Feb-05
Will double-check today, but I'm fairly sure that the only local residents are not in the relevant place. Terrain rating boosted half a notch, and difficulty reduced to be in line with White (which ate my brain, and is probably harder than this).

12-Feb-05
Had a reasonable idea where to look but walked the line just to be sure. Found approximate GZ and started searching along about a 100-metre corridor. Found a likely spot in the early part of the search but a resident stopped us from being able to check it out further.
Carried on searching on the chance he wasn’t sitting on it. Spent so long searching it felt like I had been there since 1966. I could have set up a stand and sold lemonade to passing geocachers.
Can only surmise that the local resident was in fact keeping it warm.
If your feet have to leave the ground then isn’t the terrain rating higher than 1 ?
I shall return…

Found stage 1 and after using the correct device I went to stage 2 but couldn't reach it. I might have to come back with lambchops or one of the kids.

02-Feb-05
Checked it out after Wibble's DNF. Stage 2 is still there.

Please continue to DNF this if you can't find it, since it's easy to check and it confirms I've set the difficulty rating about right.

02-Feb-05
Yep, still there today. [^] Astro.

30-Jan-05
It was all going so well.....
Team Wibble got up early in the morning to attack this one, knowing that's a much better time to avoid annoying muggles. Found the first stage with absolute ease. Extracted the info we needed and Wibble 1's geographical smarts meant we realised where stage two was immediately. However, after two lengthy search attempts, with several possible hiding spots and one very likely one, we came up with nothing. There is something that we're missing we're sure......
Back to secret agent training school for us.

30-Jan-05
Stumped at stage 1. Wanting to throw up anytime near that bin didn't help. Feeling green with the smellRazz. Wasn't sure whether this was private property or not. Found a likely spot but nothing there? Oh well, no rush. We'll wait till someone else finds it again. After Smokes stage 2 'failure' I'm not going to say it's not there.

30-Jan-05
Sounds like you were looking in the wrong place. Coordinates recently updated using Astro's much shinier GPS. I'll continue to collect more averaging material on each trip.

Message for Mr Phelps.

Cache found on the second visit.

Retrieved with the correct tool on the third visit.

Muggle central this afternoon. Picture of Kaos guard attached.

Very smart cache.

End of message...

WARNING: This log will destruct in 5 seconds.

Living near the city proved useful when tools were needed to extrapolate this cache. Armed and ready we headed off to find what we had was still not quite right. Hunted around and found something we thought might be manipulated in such a way to prove useful. Luckily not too many people around on Friday night and we were able to get the little sucker out without attracting too much attention. Brilliantly done, TNLN but have collected key travel bug.

28-Jan-05
Extracted item at location 1 and wandered off to suck out the contents. Returning a short while later I found almost enough people for an event.

Sorry 60 minutes was obviously far to long to disappear and I should have left a useful but temporary note.

Tried one location 2 which plainly didn't fit.

Just returned from somewhere near to the actual location 2. Thomas disturbed 3 possumms, but no cigar. Quite muggly this location 2.

Hmmm. Some planning and tools required here I think.

Great cache guys.

28-Jan-05

The cupboard was bare. Nope. Nothing. ….Still nothing. As luck would have it (thanx Miray!!), Gwyndigo came along to assist (5 star impressive service!!)…… disappointment … mutter mutter by Gwyndigo…"Arrrr….She'd be plundered."

Mr Plunder Freddo arrived with a smile. No more need be said, except thankYou Sir. All were happy now.

First (quick) try was a long shot for the stage 2 GZ - don't worry about what you really think here boys and girls. Looks like Mr Freddo was a bit suckered as well Big Grin.

Mr Possum proved the point on numerous occasions at the fair dinkum second stage - but the stars assisted, and so did Mr B. [^][^] No more possums now.

Clever cache. A big Thanx Gwyndigo. (left The Code Key TB)

[Evil! Evil! Evil!
This cache is very suited to Gwyndigo's personality (in case you hadn't guessed, it's EVIL!)
Although this is the first log on here, we were pipped at the post by Miray who got there on the 23rd (bah) which is kind of annoying since we spent 3 days straight trying to get this one.

First we went to the wrong spot for the second part of the cache] and ended up searching all the trees on Victoria Square and the North side of King William Road before we realised we had the wrong fountain. [
Then we did the rounds of the right location, never thinking that Gwyndigo would be evil enough to put the cache where he actually did. (Whilst he stood and watched us with a smirk on his face).

Then we had to deal with muggle central at various times of the day when trying to retrieve the cache ] which we only did after using a step-ladder and a specially-engineered grabbing tool with Chack stuck halfway down a tree [

There is a reason why this cache is rated for a difficulty as high as it is although I personally think the terrain should be bumped a bit for the second part.

Took lazer pointer, left KESAB ashtray

A very creative and challenging two part cache. Part one presented no problems, but part two took us quite some time. If you are looking for this one during the day and meet the possums please don't wake them up - they need their beauty sleep! Part two is best done when there are no Muggles around as it is hard to be discreet while retrieving this one.

Thanks to Gwyndigo for the opportunity to beta test this one. Highly recommended.
