I think this is one of my worst days of caching with 12 finds and 7 DNFs. I'm not certain if all the DNFs were in place.
No. 5 DNF where this was thistle central. Waded through it and searched but to no avail.

Whizzing down the A20, back into town. Yes I know its A2O, but A20 rolls off the tongue better and reflects how I would be travelling it if I wasn't caching. This track has been on my and Taybeedragon's list of things to do in Oamaru for a while. And today is perfect - cool, slightly cloudy day. See you at the bottom!
Day 5 - A2O is todays epic adventure. Zara is at Elephant Rocks and Toby is waiting at the Saleyards, while its bums on seats for us, on our trusty steeds Jack and Jill.
Still moving along snagging this one on the way. Cheers

I brought my bike down with me on the trip to Omamaru to do some of the bike trails and today I did lots of them parking the car and then biking back and forward so made a big day but very enjoyable saw lots of neat stuff too.
Back on the cycle this morning to explore a bit more to the A2O Trail. The second section I did was from Cants Road and back. Cheers and TFTC

Had a great time, the rain is thinking of coming down now though. A nice quick find. Cheers.
Out and about on some of the A2O bike trails around Oamaru with Kiwi Moose and Kiwi Legend. Signed the logs K3LMR for brevity. Thanks to the CO's for the Caches.

#3,015: Binge Smiley!
What an adventure we had today! TheWanglers, Team_Gaters, and I headed out at dawn from Christchurch with four goals in mind: 1) Find Many Caches, 2) Get TG to 7,000 finds, 3) get me to 3,000 finds, and 4) Have Fun! Needless to say, all were accomplished in spades. It was only my second 100+ day ever, and had us driving, walking, running, biking, and even crawling to make the finds. We were also able to find at least 7 different cache types, and attend two events, in order to catch up with old friends. Thanks to all the hiders, but most of all, thanks to my partners in crime! We signed all logs as "T8T", sung to the tune of AC/DC "TNT".

A long days caching (Mad Mission?) with TheWanglers and 8ManAfter..revelin a bit of the Geofest Event in Oamaru. We signed our logs 'T8T' cos were dynamite...and 'in a hurry'...LOL! Picked up by TW & 8man at 6am...and we had our bikes loaded for a bit of A2O action during the day. The plan was to drive to Oamaru and then attend the events and thrash the caches hard. We stopped by the event first and then we stopped to town to grab some breakfast and a packed lunch and then headed out to hit some trails. Had a great time and worked our way back to town for the CITO at 6pm. Grabbed some tea in town then headed for home. Got home just on 12am knocking out 620km and just over 100 cache finds for each of us. A great day with great company!
Quick find and sign whilst detouring around a closed section of the cycle trail. Lining up the next section to have a bike. Coolness....cheers.

Headed out for a Mad Mission with Team_Gaters and 8ManAfter we signed our logs today 'T8T' cos were dynatmite! I grabbed 8Man at 5.30 am and we grabbed TG just before 6am and we were on the road before 6am with the bikes on the back. The plan was to drive to Oamaru and then attend the events and thrash the caches hard. We wanted to do as much of the A2O as we could and as many PnGs that we could manage. We stopped by the event first and then we had to stop an grab breakfast at 10am. We grabbed some lunch and headed for the hills. Had a great time and worked our way back to town for the CITO at 6pm. Scored a delicous dinner in town and headed home. Got home just after 12am knocking out 620km and 115 caches. Good times!
Awesome views. Fav

Finishing A2O from Duntroon to Oamaro - but naturally we have to log a few caches . Tftc!
Another nice quick find while holidaying in the area. Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of my trip and TFTC
Another great find while slowly heading to the Christchurch Mega, although I seem to be heading further away on this league of my journey!
Thanks for adding to the fun of my trip.
Good to find another old cache.

This one is a bit off the beaten track but worth the detour as there are good views and of course the smiley Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Admired the views while debsnz headed into the long, wet grass to grab this one. Found with debsnz
Nice view point. Cache exactly where I expected.
Thanks elcapo for the cache.

After finding some suitable parking a bit further down the track, we were able to walk back up and move in for a quick find. Thanks!
A lovely location, but its NO WAY a terrain 1 cache. No chance of getting a wheelchair anywhere near this cache. Recommend changing the terrain rating ASAP.
Nice dusty road but well worth going up. The views are lovely. Nobody has been here since Christmas time and it deserves to be visited more often.
Rather surprised that the previous visitors were out and about at that sort of hour, true caching night owls.

We did this in conjunction with GC12P73. Put in the co-ordinates and it seemed to be just up the road. So treked across a paddock and discovered the cache beside the road beneath us. Great views from both sides of the hill! Left a fake maggot!
Very bitter cold afternoon in North Otago but views from here stunning. Our first local cache after discovering the sport in Nelson. Lots of excited kids (And 2 mothers!!)
A quick find in the middle of nowhere! Lots of thistles around the place, not so good on bare legs. TNLN Thanks.
6:30pm and having a ball in North Otago on my day off. Found this cache with no problems at all. While at GZ I got a cell phone call from my wife in Dunedin asking if I was going to be back in time for the church leaders meeting at 7 . The dangers of getting carried away with caching - I'd completely forgotten!
Found this one with Comradehunt on the "get to 100 and 250th mission" journey.
First find on a chilly morning.. just about blocked the narrow road with the camper whilst looking for cache.... soon found, and no traffic to worry about... good view TFTC
Visibility was around 100m at most - and even less on the road above! Cache box is developing its own camouflage. TNLN, Thanks.
Just Sir Rick and Pippi out caching today - the Lady was hard at work, saving for our petrol bill. LOL
Another spot that I just would NOT have ever gone to, was it not for "geocaching".
There certainly are places with great views around the countryside.
TNLN
Cheers.

Amazing views , we came in from Five forks and drove up tunnel rd. Well worth a look down the Kakanui Valley on a clear day.TNLN. TFTC.
This was an easy find with a mapping GPS We were in the neighbourhood doing the Vanished World Fossil Trail, so it was only a slight detour to pick this one up. Nice view, and the cache was easily found. No exchange made. Cheers Gav [796]
Yep, it's a nice view from up here. Now all we need to do is find our way outa here! Took superglue, left jigsaw. Thanks elcapo
Didn’t need a map – just a mapping gps! Still some snow on the ranges to the west. Calm and quiet here except for the birds tweeting, sheep baaing, dogs barking and men yelling (at dogs). TNLN. Cheers.
10th for weekend. Unfortunately weather has packed up. No view.

Like the Sallies I had trouble finding my way around the backroads too. They're quite a maze and not helped by the fact that the AA map for the area doesn't show many of the roads. But got there in the end. Yes, nice play on words. TFTC. TNLN.
What a good play on words in the title! It was hard to find our way around all those back roads to get to the cache but we found it OK - a good hidey spot. Our 9th and final find for the day.
