Sorry the Archive didn't work on the 9th when the physical cache was removed at 9pm, I will check the log book for final names, but at this stage any logs after the 9/7/23 are invalid, this is the last page of the log book I will leave it at that.
From myself and Shelby in memory I would like to thank everyone who has found this cache. The Dandenong Drive-In was a icon of the district and will sadly be missed, unfortunately land tax and an ideal industrial location has taken its toll.
I would like to Thank the Dandenong Drive-In for the years and use the line "thanks for the memories"
This cache is now Archived.

Out for a drive, I stopped to find this cache. After PAF to confirm the accurate coordinates, I read it was to be archived- but at the present is still active. Thanks
Hopefully this cache is active for a few more days because I’ll be getting to it very soon!
In Hamton Park today with Dromaniax and as we left to cache our way home we noticed this hadn't been archived yet. As Dromaniax needed the D/T for his trad fizzy and I needed it for my next loop we thought we would give it crack and we are glad we did. Just as Dromaniax was about to call it I came up with the prize.
Thank you The Coffee's for the hide

We were in the area with Sims_family and had seen that this cache was due to be archived, so we decided to have a crack and see if we could find it.
It was a goal cache for both of us for a variety of reasons. We needed it for the D/T for a traditional Fizzy, and also, the hidden date gets us closer to qualifying for a Challenge cache we have signed.
So we parked in the driveway, and out we jumped to have a look around.
Sim_family came up with the goods after a search of a few minutes. We were most pleased to have found the cache, signed it and popped it back in its hiding place.
Thank you The Coffee's for this Traditional cache and for maintaining it until it reached adulthood.

At 10.00pm tonight this cache will be archived after I leave the final drive in movie screening of Austin Powers, thank you to everyone who has found it, I beleive the Drive In will be removed fairly quick.
This Cache will be Archived on the night of the 9th July 2023, Due to the closure of the Lunar Drive-In, the cache container will be removed after the last movie and archived at that time.
Thank you to everyone who has found it, it has a lot of memories, actually tons of memories.
It was sad to see the 7 news tonight about the closure of the Dandenong Drive in, great video though I wonder who took itlol
I have booked tickets for the final evening of July 9th to say thank you for 45 years of visiting the Lunar Drive-In from a HZ to a Kia and everything in between, memories never forgotten.

It was dead quiet here when I was searching for the cache, which made life easy. This chap was found quickly and easily after a short search.
Well going off the scale in the description I would get an 'extreme difficulty' rating for the time of my find (about 5:30pm Sunday), but since the gates don't actually open until 6pm I managed to get in and out nice and quickly!
We have been here many times over the years to see movies (usually a double or sometimes triple header!) but haven't been to see anything for a while sadly, always a fun night at Lunar.
Thanks for the cache!

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to The Coffee's for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Melbourne beckons for a work trip. And while it is only presenting a two-day workshop, I am here for five days. This is my last day and I fly out tonight. In advance, I had arranged to hire a car and make a mad dash down the Mornington Peninsula with three very specific geocaches on my list. This is my third and final find with the car on a 185 kilometre round trip journey from the CBD.
I am still blindly following Google Maps, now heading north. I truly ponder what on earth awaits me at GZ with such a variable difficulty rating. I hope for good luck and keep an eye out for where I can turn around, then park.
Arriving, the gates are closed and the place is a ghost town. That's a bit perfect! I park on the driveway as out of the way as possible and get out. Oh, I understand now. Yeah, my timing has been good. I wander towards GZ for a look about (still munching my apple).
For a while I find nothing. I scroll logs and they don't help much. A likely hole for a critter is found, but no resident. Still no geocache. A slightly panicked loop around and I spot the geocache. It wasn't what I was expecting, which made me extra blind.
Hidden from the world, I sat and signed my name at 13:40 before replacing all back as found. That's it, time to head back into the CBD and return this car. This has been a successful trip. Thank you for this geocache, The Coffee's

Rock paper bunny!
bunny stayed snug while we searched around it. The first place I went to search saw the butt of a live animal! A little one but we didn't want to disturb it.
hhhm was this the reason for the rating?
However, this wasn't the case and cache soon in hand.

ps I hadn't done my research and thought there would be coffee here. A tad disappointed for sure.

Following the nearby CITO event Kbucky and myself headed out to find this cache as it was on my hit list, for my grid challenge. I diligently did my homework the previous night to work out what the hint was...new word leant that I will probably never use...(but it always handy knowing random stuff). Near GZ we stumbled across a critter but all we could see was it's backside and the debut in relation to what it was went on most of the day. Cache was soon located, signed and returned. TFTH
A nice quick find early this arvo. Out with FairyDust01 on a lovely sunny day, this spring weather is looking promising. Thanks for the cache, we love these ones!
Found with PrezDough and Robert740 today as we were out hunting caches.
This initially had us confused and Dr Google gave us an additional hint as to what we should be hunting for.
Soon realised what we needed and made a quick find.
Fortunately it wasn’t busy on a Saturday afternoon so we could attend without much attention drawn to us here.
We added our monikers and headed off.
The cache, container and log is in excellent condition.

Found with CJDenno and Robert740. At first, this cache had us confused but Google gave us an additional hint to help us know what we might be looking for. We soon realised what we were looking for and made a fast find. Fortunately for us, it wasn’t packed full of people this Saturday afternoon so we could find this geocache without people looking at us strangely. We added our names to the log and went off. Found at a time where I didn’t feel worthy of a 4 difficulty but it’s nice to grab an old cache - I’ll have to take the kids to this drive in one day. tftc
Yay! First find in the new hiding spot! When I originally planned on grabbing this cache I had needed the combo for my DT square but then it was muggled and out of action. Today when I saw it was up again I looked at my square and had this combo filled three times already, shows how much caching I've done over the past little while!
I attempted this today at about 3pm so it wasn't as muggle-y as it could've been but I still felt somewhat conspicuous. Thankfully the cars were zooming past pretty fast!
After a few circles and much flipping of items described in the hint I returned to my first instinct and sure enough there the cache was laughing at me from its hiding spot.
Thanks for the cache!

Cache finally fixed a few days ago but Doh! too busy editing wedding photos, all good and hint to be updated.
Sorry unable to replace today, have cache container and will be up and running soon.
Last Sunday I dropped by to replace the container and it appears the hiding location is about to be replaced, they have told me it will be about 2 weeks and are helping me with the replacement location once works are finished.
3pm
Dropped by with Heymissjo today.
We found what seems like a likely hide mounting, but no cache was evident.
Will keep a watch on it
Thanks

Out on my own today on my way down to my sons as being career. Stopped for this one, didn’t even know this place existed. Searched for quite awhile when then the owner pulled up and came over and told me where it used to be. We both looked around for quite awhile but could not find it. Bummer
I had a spare hour to quickly meet up with Jetsons23 to do a bit of caching around the area. I haven't been to drive in before even though I lived in Dandenong for 20 years and now a little further away but still fairly close. I must come here one day with the family.
We parked the car nearby and initially looked in an area we thought might by GZ but quickly dismissed it and moved onto where the GPS was taking us. GZ was isolated and the cache found. Luckily for us it wasn't busy here yet with only 1-2 cars driving in whilst we were there. We made sure to be stealthy with retrieval and putting it back. The cache and log is in good condition.
Thank you for the cache here Mr.Coffee and the Coffee Clan

Meet up with my buddy oshfam while my son was at a party near by. I think we were here just at the right time. Close to the road and with lots of muggles who could possibly spring us we had to use stealth.
After a search high and low we managed to make the find. Cache in great condition, we signed the log and returned the cache.
Thank you for placing this cache.

Was in the area today and needed a particular cache to finish off "The Wonders of the World" Souvenirs. This cache earned me 2 souvenirs. It Was a Dandy Day with a Quick find, muggle free. Replaced as found, although it may fall from its perch.

3rd time lucky here! First time tried 2.5 weeks ago when driving past. Looked and looked with no luck! Came back later that night thinking to see. Movie with the hubby after an IKEA exploration on Xmas eve, butler f queues wasn’t the best idea and lots of people around. Came past this morning on the way to The Bass coast and hubby made a quick find where I had previously looked.
This took me way too long as my phone GPS was so jumpy and wasn’t taking me the right direction. My girlfriend called me halfway through the search and I managed to find it after that ahahaha thanks for the cache and bringing me here! I’ve been here multiple times for the movies but never knew there was a cache here )) awesome
Driving home after doing some chores and this was on our route. Well if this wasn't the time to look for it then I doubt there would be a better time! Being shorter than average was an advantage here - a surprisingly straightforward find. All in good condition. I can imagine how difficult it is when the cinema is open. TFTC Mr.Coffee
On a caching run around the Dandenong/Keysborough/Noble Park area and found this cache along the way.
We'd passed by this cache when we were at a market here a little while ago but there were far too many people to have a crack at finding this (let alone getting to gz as this road was actively being used as an entrance).
Today, however, the drive-in was closed and we had a prime opportunity to collect this cache away from the prying eyes of muggles.
Had a peer over the top and spotted the container in no time.
The log was signed and all was replaced as found, appears to be in perfect condition.
Thanks to The Coffee's for placing this cache!

After reading the description, keen to come here as I were wondering why the timing/rating changed depends on the time. Once I am here, still bit puzzled, once I found the cache, I understand why the timing and drive in and jive away is so important. Good one! Thanks for placing the cache. A fav from me.
I was just down the road in Dandenong getting new ears (mirrors) fitted to the Geocruiser to make towing easier without having to fit mirrors that generally fall off when off road.
After picking up the car I checked the map to see if there were any close caches before heading back home to the other side of town.
After chasing aliens and their sneaky works going on under our noses it was time to find a normal cache.
Ah the drive-ins this brings back a flood of memories for me.
From being a kid and being snuck into a R rated movie on the floor of the car.
To deck chairs, popcorn fights between cars, beers, mates, girlfriends and finally taking my own family to the movies they were great times.
When I was growing up we had a choice of about 4 or 5 drive ins on my side of town.
GPS bounced around a bit but I was soon able to add my name to the log.
Thanks for bringing back fantastic memories.
Thanks Mr.Coffee TFTC.

We were led here under the spell of aliens. But now that we were here, we decided to stop by and seek out this one as well. The GPS led us to the exact spot and the cache was discovered quite quickly.
Thanks Mr.Coffee and the Coffee Clan.

I’ve always loved the drive-in. Very different in today’s standards without having to use those speakers that hooked onto the car, only to realise it didn’t work, then having to drive around to find one that did work.
Not a bad time of the day to search which was handy as our GPS was obviously taking a break at this time. Eventually found the cache and log was signed.
Thank you Mr Coffee and our hearts and thoughts are with you.

Working through some empty Ausmer squares and saw this one nearby. Thankfully I picked a quiet moment and it was muggle free. The cache was quickly located and log signed. Thanks for the cache.

A nice quiet day put chilling after being couped up for a few days. A nice place and a great hide. Try.
I had the afternoon to myself today and I leapt at the chance to grab as many caches in the Greater Dandenong area as I could. What a beautiful day to be out and about! I forgot this drive-in was here, I must bring my kids here for an outing one time. A nice quick find and some nice "vibes" with being here. TFTC!
Dropped by today on the first of many cache maintenance runs and we have replaced the container and log, all good to go.
--------
###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
I've noticed this cache is carrying a maintenance log which really does need to be addressed by the cache owner.
The guidelines indicated that periodic visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Sorry about this cache, i dont know how i missed these logs, i will fix it up in the next couple of days.
Pretty quiet here on a Saturday afternoon so we had plenty of space to search. Although it didn’t take long to find it the cache container is in desperate need of replacement!! There’s been several other people that have said the same thing and if the CO doesn’t do something about it soon it will not stay in its hiding place much longer! We ended up putting the container into a sealed zip lock bag so that everything stays in the container that is falling apart and is full of holes but this is very temporary and makes it slightly more noticeable if people are close enough but we were worried that if we didn’t everything would start falling out of the cache or it would all get soaked in the rain. Took TB, left a couple of swaps and signed log. TFTC! Hopefully it will have a nice new container sometime soon so everyone can continue driving in and jiving!!
The description of the difficulty of this cache was far too intriguing so i had to stop by here on my way home to Ballarat from a day visiting Berwick and Pakenham. Oh, and the fact that it filled anther spot on my AUSmer list.
Once here i realised why it had such an interesting D rating!
Took some time locating this one, the gps sending me on a wild goose cache in the wrong GZ before refreshing it and finally laying eyes on the prize.
I don't think the container has much life left in it and will need some attention from the CO. The plastic has perished so much that the clips are starting to break off when you open it. Fortunately the logbook is ok.
Thx Mr Coffee and clan, i enjoyed finding your caches today.

Oh took a while. Came here to check out glass. Place a trackeable and a toy from NZ
Glad to have found a cache that's been around as long as this one has. Early Saturday morning was a good time to find this one as there was no-one around. The container has just about fallen apart and needs replacing.
Needed the DT combination for our grid, so we made a slight detour on our return trip from the beach. Although the sun was still up a few souls were in the queue for tonight’s features, but they paid us no mind
Container shattered a little more as we replaced. Sorry.
Container shattered a little more as we replaced. Sorry.
There’s still an operating drive in here. I’ve passed it so many times and not realised it was here. Probably concentrating on the traffic rather than the scenery. My coordinates according to my finding device were spot on. I got to 1m from where the cache was found. The container is very brittle now and needs replacing. We put the log in a plastic bag to protect it.
Yes I found it, but with the help of previous finder. I was getting frustrated looking in the same places and not seeing it. The Co-ords are way out, tried using both phone and garmin gps. Just happy to sign the log and return safely to its spot. Thanks for the cache. #Foundit 428
I looked here and there but I couldnt find the cache anywhere! 20 mins searching hi and lo, where o where could it be??
Having found the nearby challenge cache, I walked up to this one. It took me several minutes to find the cache. I had to read a heap of found it logs to assist me with short-listing possible locations. I was looking in totally the wrong spot when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. Yes! It was the cache.
Thanks for a good one.
Thanks for a good one.
MontsII and myself headed out today with this cache as our target. Upon arrival we realised why timing is so important for this one. Luckily we had good timing and was able to make the find without anybody noticing. Bold hide here The Coffee's! TFTC
Found today on a short layover in Dandenong. I looked around for a while for this one, looking in the right place then the wrong place then the almost the right place then the right place. The nearby house put me off a little but luckily muggles don’t bother me too much. The cache container is still secure but it’s showing some signs of UV wear and is becoming brittle. Thanks for the cache, I’ve never been to a drive in!
I first looked at this cache mid December when we went to the drive ins, but it was way too busy on way in, intermission and the way out.
Today at 6.30 am on a Monday morning it was a lot quieter. Still a lot of cars passing on the other side of the road, but grabbed cache during a quiet moment, signed and replaced easily.
Thanks for the cache Mr Coffee and the Coffee Clan

Dandenong is my home town growing up here and always great to visit some of the old land marks. Just wish it was a Tuesday and I’d be at the market for some dandee donuts.

After attending the Alexandra Mega Event we headed to the greater Melbourne area to find a few target caches required for the next loops of our D/T grid. Today, we were concentrating our efforts in the Dandenong Ranges.
We had no difficulty in locating this cache and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way [^]

The twenty-fourth find of the day. Today was going to be arguably our biggest. The main goal was to get Loci612 to 12 types in the day whilst collecting as many different counties as we can. Large caches, letterbox hybrids and Wherigos were also high on the agenda too plus anything else deemed fit for our goals. Our day began at 5:45am and finished at 10pm in Labertouche having fulfilled all our goals bar a DNF in Nillumbik county. Some beautiful countryside travelled and some interesting driving in Melbourne made this day unforgettable, finished off with HSPs for dinner. Thanks to all the COs who hid caches to make today possible.
Well, we happened to arrive here at a D2 time but it still took us a few minutes to locate the cache. Was a bit worried by the nearby house but I'm sure it is not the first time they have seen people searching at this location. Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC Mr. Coffee and the Coffee Clan!

Today was the biggest day during the weekend of the Alexandra Mega Event! Not because of the number of finds, but for the distance we needed to cover and the very specific goals we set out to achieve.
The list of goals we had for today started nice and early at 5:45am when we left the campsite to drive up to the webcam cache on Mt Buller. Our day didn’t end until very late that night all the way down in Labertouche, which is SE of Melbourne along the Princess Freeway. Our goals for this huge day consisted of:
1. Find 12 cache types in one day
2. Find a cache in every county between Alexandra - Labertouche (including through Melbourne for extra’s)
3. Find as many Wherigo’s near Casey Fields to go towards a challenge cache
4. Any other caches along the way which helped towards specific goals (DT points, large caches, distant multi etc.)
It was a massive day of caching, Cankid and I were both tired out of our minds and happy to hit the pillow by the end of it!
---
Another county we were passing through meant we needed to find a cache! Cankid had the challenge cache up the road lined up but I couldn't quite qualify for that one so we agreed to stop at this one too on the way past as it is still within the same county and also has some good DT points.
Coords were slightly out for us so took about 5 mins to find but we came on a Sunday which was perfect because the description say's its a D2! Perfect
Thanks for the cache! A bit of an older one too!

Friday saw another caching trip planned, with the combined teams of The_Tritonz, Na'wal and myself. An early start was on the cards for the long journey to the Bass Coast. The weather was a mixed bag all day, with it changing from rain to sunshine frequently. The wind was very strong as well, but you have to expect that in this neck of the woods. Once again, there was great variety of hides. It's always a pleasure to cache here and we are already planning our next trip !!
We collected this on our way down to Wonthaggi. Thanks for showing me this place. TFTC The Coffee's

Found with stinky tom who had found it previously. It was just before 4pm on a Saturday afternoon and not many people about so pretty easy.
A nice cache though. Cheers The Coffee's

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches. I have got a nice streak going and hoping to let it run for as long as possible. This may or may not become easier now that I have found a job but I’m still currently staying with my brother (stinky tom) and his family which includes my nephew (stinky bob).
A big thanks goes out to all the cachers and cache owners without whom this lifestyle would not be possible.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work. Everyone likes finding a well maintained cache with a dry logbook.

Been near here lots of times with work so not quite sure why it has taken so long to look for this one. Was passing today around lunchtime and (given the detailed guidance around the oscillating difficulty rating) it seemed like a good time to look. There was a tow truck pulled up on the grass along the highway but my black wagon is often mistaken for a police vehicle and he made a sharp exit once I pulled in! With the coast clear I moved in and after a short search I had the cache in hand. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache The Coffees.

According to the sign, it was 50 shades darker inside the premises than outside. And that was just before midnight.
A clever cache and I will claim the D4/T1 for my matrix. Thanks.

Caching around the eastern suburbs in the company of McLookers enjoying the variety of cache types and hides targeted for the weekend. After enjoying a lovely dinner close by we targeted 10 more caches to make a total of 50 finds in a day. Being dark by now had its advantages as we searched stealthily with phone torches and adding our names to the log books.
Thanks for the cache The Coffee's , we were lucky with our timing tonight!

Perfect timing tonight for a quick find and getaway. Thanks The Coffee's, found with The Tritonz.
Took the opportunity to grab this one this morning whilst shopping nearby for replacement kitchen equipment
GPSr was all over the place but fortunately no muggles to watch us walking around in circles!
Finally located the hide, signed the log and replaced as found. Many thanx to The Coffee's

Catching up with omegaman1971 tonight to grab a few smilies and this one was soon found after a short search. This area was pretty busy tonight but the muggles were more interested in the nights entertainment than us. Thanks The Coffee's for the cache.

Noooo this place is busy tonight, but was lucky with a quick find.
Cheers for the cache.

I was off to see my very sick Granddad today and after the visit, I came near this cache to make it the last of the day for me before the long drive home. At the time of arrival, I was very lucky with little of no muggles about but I know this can be another story here. I was at the wrong location at first wondering where I was needed but i eventually moved around and made the find. Signed and returned as found.
**Thanks for placing this trad cache Mr.Coffee and the Coffee Clan** [^]
**Cache container and log in good condition**
**Took nothing, Left nothing**
