logged a "needs maintenance" on 22/9/13 asking CO to check if cache is still in location (after many DNF's) Have not heard anything from CO and others have since also logged a request for maintenance as nothing was found. Lovely place though.
After spending all day yesterday doing some long overdue maintenance around the house, I wasn't going to stay home for a second day. Plans were made last night to head up Lesmurdie/Kalamunda way. What we didn't count on was the soaring temperatures. Approached this one from the top. Very disappointed at not being able to find it though. We gave the area a pretty thorough going over, but no joy. Judging by the number of dnf's, I suspect it might have disappeared. Long hot climb back up to the top, with the temperature still climbing (reached 37 today in Lesmurdie). Hope some maintenance is done soon, as it really is in a beautiful spot. Thanks anyway BCNU
Its needs to be replaced or removed from the site because it fools you when you think you havent found it when its not there
The duo of jillaross and dajaki were armed with walking sticks and gloves for deep foraging but we didnt find it. We looked at all grass trees within 15m of GZ.
Just a quick request for CO to check cache is still in place since there have been numerous DNF's (last found 2/6/13). Thanks
Searched for nearly 20 minutes, but to no avail.
Thought we could see where it once was, but not there any more.
There were heaps of people up there as it was such a beautiful day.

Looked for about 10 mins under every bush. I can see from previous logs that no one else has found this one since July. Might have been taken Great walk though and plenty of water at the falls.
Spend 15 minutes looking for it, had a look under every grasstree.
No luck but s nice spot )

No luck for us today - are you sure it is still there? Might be a good idea for the CO to check... We spent about 10 minutes or so looking around grasstrees, but to no avail...
Didnt find this one after giving the whole area a thorough search! Can CO please check it is still there?
Had a very thorough search but couldnt find it. Saw a spot where we think it would have been, but nothing. Can you please check and confirm the container still there? Thanks you. It was still a lovely walk from the bottom of the Falls. Nice to see so much water going over them.
this one was really hard to find it was hidden really well. Had to look really hard but still did not find it, good luck to who ever tries to find it next [: / ]
When we tried to find the geocache we couln't! It was so well hidden, whoever hid it did a great job. ^
We tried really hard but this geocache was very difficult and we didnt end up finding it. [^] Nevermind.
No luck for us today either. Did a nice lot of bush walking to get here, had a good rummage around and no find. Despite being in our 20's we still had a play in the waterfall though. Thanks! )
Spent a good while searching for this one after descending from above but to no avail. Even went to the hint and searched every grass tree within the area.
Well give it another shot later though.

TFTC BCNU. Turned out to be a perfect day for a walk. Lots of others thought so too. So plenty of potential muggles about. Made the search that little bit more tricky. Had the grandkids in tow and tackled this one from the top of the falls. Bit of scrambling down the hillside (and back!) to record a find. Once we got there it was pretty straight forward. Granpa found it first then let the grandkids have some fun and find it for themselves. Signed log, TNLN.
Found by a well trained young Geocacher by her Grandparents. She wants to return in the winter when there should be more water cascading down. Nice cache though and first Australian one as well. TNLNSL and of course T4TC. Oh and no TB in the box!
My easiest find ever. I wasn't even out Geocaching for the day.
I walked up the steps and found another cacher holding the box. I introduced myself as a cacher so they didn't have to worry about muggles. I then signed the book before they put it away.
Always nice to meet other cachers.

Found easily, lots of bull ants and prickly terrain. Long pants suggested. Easy walk from car park. 1/4/2013
Pink Gecko Geocoin (TB2349R) was placed in Falling Waters on 05 Sep 09 jeeohunterz.
On 23 Oct 09 thestroopidsstepout wrote "Took Rover TB and Gemstone TB. Gecko coin no longer there but log indicated another cacher a few people back has picked it up".
No mention of pickup in online logs.
Cache owner needs to either visit the cache to identify "'another cacher' and chase it up, or Mark the coin as Missing.

Like others we tried the very wrong spot. On the official but quite hidden track to a lookout we were actually able to grab the cache while standing on the track. Wonderful park. PINO TFTC
Great climb up the rock wall with The Modal Nodes. Took a while in the pouring rain. TFTC.
Took us ages to find because we were looking the complete other way until we realised we were looking the other way.

Great location for a cache, visited on one of the first warm Sundays when the falls are looking fantastic, tfth
As mentioned, found with the Burns mob. Confirm the pink geo is missing. I note it was placed there 3 years ago, needs to be marked MIA. What a great way to get the geokids together. Although actually found by the burns mob, I'll stake a found it claim too due to the war wounds received . Just a tip, no need to bush bash, there is a track to it, although fairly eroded due to winter rains. Thanks for the meet up burns mob, will have to do it again. And thanks to BCNU for the cache.
Came in from the top with Sharkcaver which involved a fair bit of bush bashing. Pink Geko geocoin is missing, also was pretty much out in the open. Stashed it back under where it should be and turned it around so the green side of the amo box was facing out and not the bright orange.
Needs a new log book, existing is full.

Beautiful day for caching and although the place was swarming with muggles I was able to make a quick, undetected find.
Nice walk with the kids after school, only the last part was a bit too steep for them.
The best one i have found so far and one of my first. I free climbed the falls after with harry2351 and had a snack half way up
very smartly hidden as no one would look there, afterwards me and my friend[william6] free soloed [free climbed] the rocks next to the falls and had a snack at the top. when then went of and found some other caches. tftc
10th of the days caching in Lesmurdie. We were tired by now and were glad to make it without breaking our necks. A bit hard for Nana and Pop!! Loved the area and views. We approached from the top after finding PaddyK 001. Took the GC
took a while to find this one as the coordinates where a bit off for me?
New coords: S 31 59.813 E 116 01.795
Maybe it's my GPS, you may want to double check
Also dropped off a geocoin

Parked below Lesmurdie Falls and walk to bottom of the falls and then a short climb to the southeast found the cache.
Took Meine Ente geht auf Reisen TB.

After 2 days in Perth arrived locally from the UK yesterday with my brother, viewed the falls last evening from the top, and this morning did the trail from Palm Road to the cache. Great area and views, would have been more spectacular with a greater flow of water. Left Trackabulldog geocoin, logged through a TB and two coins. Thanks for the hide.
a gr8 find- spiky- introduced another friend to Geo fun - gr8 time of year - loved the wildflowers and climb
[:(!] Went for a night cache and found this cache quite quickly, opened the cache and found to two empty stubbies, what a pitty after walking all that way down the hill and realising that I had to walk all that way back up the hill to the car, it would have been nice to quench the thirst TNLNSL TFTC
(5:29 PM) Challenging walk to find this one, fairly easy find when you know what to expect. We finished off with a climb up the falls and some great photosTFTC!
We stopped to enjoy the scenery and the view of the falls from this cache location. Thankyou for bringing us to this delightful place!
Absolutely amazing here at the end winter. Fantastic!! The cache with the best view to date, thank you! XD A quick find once we read the hint ^_^
First cache of the day, had to wait a while as it was quite a nice day and the muggles where out in force. TFTC TNLN
A great place to visit while staying nearby found this with taje00 on a quick trip to Perth with my new son to visit his great pop, thanks for the find and good to see this place cheers....
Came over to perth for a quick over night trip to see my 94 year old pop who may not have long to live. He lives just nearby in Nelson cresent so this cache was perfect for a quick cache. Great area here the picnic tables at the top of the track above the falls would be a good spot for a picnic with the family. Came here with bushy2233 nice easy walk down and we cut down the hill on a track instead of walking the long way down. The walk back up was a bit harder but was worth the walk with heaps of water coming over the falls at the moment. Left a TB and a lanyard and took nothing TFTC will log the TB when I get back to sydney as I dont know how too as yet on the geocaching ap on my phone.

Found on a caching day out with duncdonut, bsurin, Julie and Princess Fions. Only bsurin, the donut and I were game enough to venture down to this one. Sure enough, we took a roughway done and then found a much easier path on the way out! TFTC
Headed out today with duncdonut73, kellyxley, Fiona and Julie to tackle a few caches in the area, and to enjoy the beautiful views. Parking nearby, we headed to the GZ and managed to locate the cache after a bit of a trek. The views here were amazing, and we took another well needed break to take them in. TFTC
Found with kellyxley, Princesses Fiona and Julie (except they stayed up top), and of course bsurin65, who was good enough to organise our day. We did the 4.5 star terrain climbing down and back up again from near the lookout above the cache. I preferred that to the long steep hills in some of the other caches we went to, but needed a good rest after. TFTC!
Easy find on a beautiful winters morning. Falling water was but a trickle.

TFTC...Lovely spot..BEWARE of people breaking into your car here.....Just check out the glass in the car park....I had my car smashed into at GHOST HOUSE just up the way....(on the same day) So devastated about this.....Joint find with stus*crew....."Go safe"
Easy find. I left my notes in the car so just got to GZ and snooped around the usual sorts of places.
An easy find after visiting the falls. Started from the bottom - recommended. TFTC
Its amazing how many Perthites has never been here.
Approached this one from the top; wish we'd come up from the bottom. A nice view and a lovely spot.

The Albany Canucks spent the afternoon doing five caches with the Bugs Bunnies team in the Lesmurdie Falls area, and this was the second. Not realizing that there was easy access from the lower parking lot, we parked at the top of the falls, and made our trip the hard way down to the bottom of the gorge and back up again on the other side. Nice views of the gorge and of Perth from the lookouts at the top. The waterfall was running fairly well - much more water coming down than at Ellis Brook, but undoubtedly the best time to come here would be in winter after some heavy rains. We enjoyed ourselves at the bottom of the falls, and spent some time rock climbing, taking photos, and dipping our heads in the stream - this is a wonderful spot. Since this is a National Park, we figured that this was an ideal place to make a new home for the Dartmoor Geocoin, which had spent considerable time travelling National Parks throughout England. Nice hiding spot for the cache, everything is in good condition - did some small swaps and signed the log. Thanks for a great cache in a beautiful location!
