Called past cache on Friday and it's unfortunately gone.
Cache has had it's time in the sun, so joining it up with it's retired counterparts to let some fresh cachers use the neighborhood or even the plaque itself in a reincarnation.

Scratched and dug, with a 1/1 rating this should be easy. Having contacted the owner I knew exactly where to look. It has gone.
after the last memory cache i thought that I was onto it, but alas couldn't find it anywhere, I see others may ahve found the same issue, however still was worth the journey to times gone bye, TFTC
Nice easy find after a lovely walk. We walked back on the opposite side of the lake and track and thoroughly enjoyed it. TNLN TFTC
12/02/2011 08:57 Found: #258 As I was in the area and looking for more caches I thought I might look at some of these (MMM) series. Got close to GZ with the car GPS, then used geo-sense to get this one in hand. I was also pleasantly surprised to find this was more of a Traditional (like an earlier log). Always happy to tick them off though! TFTC TNLN SL
#191 - I love this series! This was a nice quick find on a quiet Sunday morning. TFTC!
Not really a multi, more a traditional, but I am not complaining. A quick find in a good hiding place, and a big box.
Thanks, p-boro

My very first find. Awesome. Took a while to work out what this geocaching thing actually was.
Found while out on a night caching run through Melbourne with Blacklegend (Marshy). Nice warm night a caching in T-shirts for the first time in a while. Nice quick find once at GZ. TFTC.
Found with my good mate Marty (quasar3671) on another night caching run. Warm night and were caching in t-shirts. Were initially confused by the offset, but after working it out and reading the cache description a little better, we had the hide in hand after a short walk. TFTC.
I went looking for this cache as my second ever cache--found the "X marks the memory" plaque, but couldn't find the cache at all after searching for ages. I've done a few caches since, and learned a bit, and this time I noticed the extra info and found the cache easily. Great hiding spot! TNLN. TFTC!
Easy find after finding one down the road (bit surprised how close they actually are)

This was a good case of read the cach page as I arrived at the posted coords and thought... hmm, not many hidey holes around here... Then I read the critical info...
So after taking in the plaque information, I headed off to fin the cache... Nice and easy when I arrived... [^]
Cheers Partic.

I love the days when goods were delivered at the door. Saw the tree on the way to the plaque from other side of the road and I knew it would be the one the wine centre was closed when I came, but it's a nice corner with some lovely cafe and eating places. Thanks for the cache! ^_^
Logging my visited trackables from the other day (couldn't do it easily through the iphone application)
TFTC. SL. During a break in the rain, I found this one quite quickly. Took TB and left GC.
Found cache by cover of darkness, dropped Lisa Simpson trackable, took nothing. Cache well secured, TFTC!
Found on the way from work on 'Ride to Work' day It was a very wet ride home.
Made no swaps. Thanks for the history lesson in this little strip of shops.
I have been to the spanish tapas restaurant here. MMM Yum.

Foud this one while working in the area for the day. Not tradional cache. Cache is not at the posted coordinates. Actual coords at bottom of description still means its an offset. Even if visiting the described plauque gives no furher info about the cache location, is a offest - albeit a lazy one. Actual Cache Coords out by 6 metres as well.
Need to change type and correct the coords of the cache and this will be a worht while cache. TNLN TFTC..

Fairly easy find on a rainy day; my companions shielded me with umbrellas as I logged. TFTC!
Hmmm... I think this is not a traditional cache... Perhaps you can use the plaque for a multi cache to calculate the final coords? Both places are nice and easy to find. So I had a short stroll with radioactiveman1 to find the cache, TFTC, kaituna05
So.... it's not really a 'traditional' then is it? The log book was in many many pieces also. Thanks though Partic.
Great tricky little spot - am really enjoying this series - thanks for another great cache.
In Melbourne on business and we're on our way back to drop off the rental car. Always got time for jussst one more find on the way there! . TFTC
Twenty first find on rugby and caching holiday - here for the Bledisloe Cup game. Still raining after the hail storm so didn't go and check the plaque. Thankfully the rain also kept the muggles away!!
found it while being monitored for my stealth like abilities, by Firesafe in Adelaide being on the phone at the time giving covert instructions thus a virtual find on this cache for him.
ps i passed never saw me at anytime during the search on google earth

As with others, we arrived at the posted co-ords expected to be looking for a cache... before realising the actual co-ords were in the description.... oh.... Easily found once that was figured out. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Hi, jinkyandjohn were up in Melbourne for Wintergrillen and decided to tackle a few caches while we were here. I well remember home deliveries, though not the dunny can variety! TFTC TNSL left a smilie badge.
Used to live just around the corner from posted co-ords. A short walk in the other direction & a read of the notes & oldwinebottle had the cache in hand. just a head of Princess Diala & friends!
Found @ 1.50pm #252,
in the company of Ian and Penny.
We arrived at the posted coords and thought where could a cache be here, then read the description and realised that this was for the plaque, which we found, we then headed off to the cache which was a quick find ( by Ian ).

6th find of the day, and 2518th total find at 13:52.
I've been eyeing this cache off for some time - as I work nearby. However I never seem to find the time during working hours.
Penny & I managed to grab this cache on our way to a nearby event, with the help of the geocaching team - stemicmitsar (gee I hope I got the spelling right).
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks Partic for the cache

Like those that came before us we were at the Wintergrillen (Event Cache) and in the area, so it was only fitting to visit a few caches while down in the big smoke.
Ahh...the memories. We used to live in Blackburn and had an outside "dunny" and we rarely saw the nightman, but I have memories of the hat he wore and the truck he drove.

I am naughty - I didn't go to WP1 ! Sorry. Maybe I will another day. Quick and easy find using the find. Nice. TFTC.
This one confused us a bit at first as we looked around the published coords. A lot easier after we had read the description properly. TFTC.
Most confused trying to find this one, until we actually bothered to read the description
Find # 1306 @ 11:35
Nice piece of history and an easy find at gz. Log book is full. TNLNSL Thanks partic!

Lots of people around at 8:45pm but not too many muggles! Enjoyed this hide, great location! Right in front of so many that walk by or go past by tram but so well hidden to the unknown. SL. TNLN. TFTC.
great spot had to watch out for muggles. the book has fallen apart and needs to be replaced. TFTC
Found at 11.15am. This was a pleasant wander around the area, including Albert Park on Mother's Day. TNLNSL. TFTC.
After a nice walk in Albert Park and still dreaming about roaring motors and the thrill of a F1 race I found this nice place and the cache.
Thanks,
Cabiman

This was the second one we found in albert park (or very close to). we walked over to marker first to have a look at it and then it did not take that long until we had the cache in hand. Signed the log and placed it back. swapped action figure for small die. TFTC
Wandered over after the kids had finished playing at the park on the GP circuit. M spotted the cache first. It was covered but the hide was obvious. Signed log in between trams passing and returned the cache to its hide. TFTC. KEMS
Found this today travelling between sites.
Great little spot, interesting history!

Found at 9.20am this morning. Enjoyed this area and the walk to the log. Will have to do all the other x marks the memory caches now. TNLN SL. Thanks Partic
Team Derek and Clives 2nd cache of the day.
Found this a bit trickier and wandered around for a while looking for the plaque....until we realised how dense we were being!
Cache was well hidden and out of view from muggles.
Enjoyed finding it and left a F1 Melbourne Grand Prix 2010 ticket due to the track being near by!

04-04 1st find of the day at 12:33 and 1032nd find in total.
As we were nearby at the Sports & Aquatic centre for the National Kendo tournament and found ourselves with some time on our hands we wandered down to have a crack at this one.
When we got to GZ we just couldn't work out what we were doing wrong, had a look at previous logs and then the penny dropped. This one is really a multi isn't it.
Once we worked that out it was a short stroll to the 2nd GZ and a very quick find as we could see it from the other side of the road, it was totally uncovered!
(''\(OoO)/'') Thanks Partic for the caching fun!

Nice bit of history on the plaque. Would have missed it for sure. Saw the cache from the other side of the road - not sure how long it will remain a secret. In: nothing, Out: Lunchtime Gang GC. TFTC.

Thanks Partic for another in your MMM series. Unfortunately the cache was out in the open. Have tried to construct a little hide for it. Don't know how successful it will be.
When we first came to live in Melbourne we used to live the other end of the road that has the marker - just into Danks St. This was our regular transport stop. Thanks for bringing us back here TNLN

Straight forward find, but the cache was a little exposed. Now covered a bit better.
Took up the suggestion to check out the local wine and food scene after finding this cache. We had a fabulous Indian meal at a local restaurant before heading home for the evening. Children seem to be under the illusion we have finished caching for the day. Something about unfinished homework... oh dear, how sad!! TFTC Partic, great little shopping precinct.
We could see the shops & the Chief decided we could go find something to eat. YAY!!
