As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Have tried emailing the owner on this one and had no respone. Another cache by this owner is also in need of repair or archiving but has not had any maintenance or notification by owner in the time it has been an issue (over a year). It leads me to believe the caches are no longer being maintained. Can this please be archived?
Found the smashed camo'd snaplock lid for this cache at GZ but nothing else to be seen, so it appears it has been completely muggled. Disappointing as this was my second visit as the first was horrible weather and the GPS was all over the place. This time it lead me to the right spot and the cache hide. Will email the owner and let them know.
I think that this one's gone.
I found a plastic lid [cracked] of the type of box that is used in lots of caches, plus.... a nice rectangular hole where the cache probably used to rest.
Can you check this one please??

Beautiful spot, but no sign of the cache. Reception was a little jumpy so it's possible we searching in the wrong spot.
Nice spot for a look out point. A pity it was a little drizzly otherwise we would have spent more time admiring the views. Found cache after a short search. No trades as we had forgotten to bring our swaps with us today. Thanks Mcroni for the cache.
lovely walk from Port C in the afternoon before setting sail on the Star Princess en route to Sydney.
A great lookout point however there was a freezing cold wind, left a shooting star.

The Rustle ("son of daywalk") muggled this for us 7 August 2005, when we were proto-cachers. Visited with Vicky to officially log it at last.
Nice spot. Sad history. Found it with a local who has seen it out of place a while back after some kids were playing there.
Fabulous views from here. Couldn't have got a better day to visit this site. TFTC.

Great spot for a cache! I have been around here a few times over the years but had no idea of the history associated with the plaque here, thanks for highlighting this. Cache found easily enough once I started trusting the GPS. + fancy pen - TB. TFTC [^]
[Found it finally] scratched around near the huge drop for a while. Then looked at the GPS and thought "of dear - it's across the road". So followed the GPS and climbed the bank and hunted around the trees. Then just as I was going I thought ... hangon - the botttom of the bank is only a foot away from the top of the bank. And sure enough!!! [Loads of scrambling around but got there in the end] [:-)] oops - re-edited to put the square brackets around the RIGHT place ... this cache has me doing everything wrong
Good cach. It was just bad luck that I missed it the first time round. Found with the Johnnys crew.
Liked this one. Dumped the Gps as it was not working and retraced Melting Pots steps to find he had missed it! Found with Jonnygoescaching crew. TFTC
Cool spot, and a great view. Coords a little off, but I enjoyed the cache. I never even knew this place existed, TFTC!
Climbed to the wrong place for a start, but we retraced our steps and found straight away. TNLN, TFTC
No luck with this one either - gps was pointed into macrocarpas on other side of road - 3 strikes today I am going home
Found it without GPS. A really nice place to hide a cache. No trade TFTC, Coxibleu
Rather amazed at the lack of any safety fence (or even a warning sign) near the seat.
Easy find, signed log. TFTC

Lovely spot, very scenic, never been along this road before and glad i have now. Found the cache easily. Took dog and left kiwi bowling toy. Also left the Geo Cacher on Board Geo Coin to continue its journey. TFTC
I had muggle problems too but managed to discreetly pick it up with strategic placement of the cacemobile.

This was the first time we've been out this way and it certainly is beautiful. We found the cache pretty quickly. Had to wait for several muggles to drive by.
Took 'American Guy!' TB.

In first spot checked. Only light rain so that was no bother. Dodged through the streets to get to the right spot.
What a blustery day. The birds seemed to be sleeping while suspended in mid-air. A nice easy find. TFTC. TNLC.
Great place for a cache. This was the first of three finds today on the peninsula.

A nice find on a good day out with Mrs Jet Senior (aka Mum), who was visiting from Nelson. Unfortunately she slipped down the cliff above the cache after unnecessarily climbing up to find the stash. At least one of us got a good laugh out of it
Anyway great place for a cache. This was the first of three finds today on the peninsula.

Nice easy find on a very windy afternoon. Spectacular views across the whitecaps towards Dunedin. TNLN.
The GPS initially had us somewhat more elevated, which didn't tie in with the terrain rating, or the description. It took a while to work out the one location where all 3 actually agreed - more or less. A great view. Thanks.
Fab views of the harbour. Heaps of muggles around so had to be a bit sneaky. TNLN. Thanks
found on trip down to Aramoana, have herd of steamer collision but did not know it was this area.picked up Jean Luc-A.thanks for this cache
Was fishing down the road when it started to rain so packed up and flicked on the GPS. Had known there was one around here somewhere. Was quick and easy luckily, as it was blustery and raining and going on dark!!!
- Pins, + Soap (for fishy hands)
Thanks for the after fish antics.
Sorry there might be a fishy smell for the next cacher.

Like BaldEd's last visit, we found this one pretty-well straight away. Funny how a cache can be perplexing or straightforward, depending on the day. Nice little spot, and we had a picnic snack here to enjoy the view.

Well, what do you know? Found it straight away this time. To think I spent about 30 or so mins last time and missed it. + calculator. + silica gel. – AAA batteries (needed for torch after doing Shelob’s Hallway cache yesterday). Thanks Mcroni. Cheers.
An interesting drive along a road we would never have known about. Good views down the harbour on a calm, pleasant afternoon.
Thanks

I am beginning to hate Mcroni’s 1/1 ground level caches that have no hints. 2 gps’s both indicated above the road but there was no obvious hidey hole. The area is obviously very popular for dogs’ businesses though.
GPSR straight to the spot, good view with a slight wind blowing, + compass keyring(ex Keyring), - turtle
Wandered out to Port Chalmers over the hill this evening, after finding a NEV cache muggle-infested - We'll try that one tomorrow..
Anyway, R found this one fairly quickly.. Not a bad wee spot really. Nice view of the harbour lights at dusk.
- ear plugs
+ flashing jewellery.
Thanks!

Drove around for a while until we eventually found the right road. The place was deserted. Great views. We've never been down that road before. Thanks.
This place is almost as busy as "The Octagon" - took me three visits to avoid motor homes, dog walkers etc but eventually got the place to myself.

According to the time in the cache logbook I'd missed Bitsprayer by less than an hour. Despite the fog hanging about the city it was quite pleasant at this spot. TNLN.
Nice quick find.. Geo the Dog had a bit of a run around, plus I pick up the TB PDX or Baaast ...
Many Thanks Bitsprayer

Silly me, thinking I could get a FTF in this city and it's afternoon already! At least I can claim a First To Log .
Great spot for a cache - I'd already taken a photo of the plaque with a cache in mind so knew exactly where to head to! Nice one Mcroni, thanks for the cache!
