Logs
Replaced log. Time to replace this temporary container and put one back in the original spot - it doesn't look as they are going to restore the lakeside.
Was riding past with the geoson and showed him this cache. It was full of water and even the log bag was full of water too. May need new log.
We made a bit of a meal of this one and it was only on a hunch that we looked where we did and stumbled upon the cache! Thanks for the thought and mathematical application that went into this one!

Reperio at 1210. This was another puzzle I had been waiting to get to, and having found one of the required caches, but the final cache was missing, I had all the info I needed to plot the final location of this one. When Rubik and I arrived at GZ, we initially started looking closer to the coordinates and hadn't read the cache description. We then resorted to using the hints, and that described a completely different type of cache and area. In the end, we did the only obvious thing to do and found the cache. Hmmmm....maybe we should have looked there before.
Gratias B & S for a nice puzzle.

Another Canberra mystery off the list with this one. Managed to 'gather' the required info I needed and a short walk today came up with the goods in the slighty offset location. I think that must just about be the last one off the top of parliament house now- there are certainly some layers to reveal each time you finish another one. TFTC!
I had my eye on this cache because it was "hidden" under the other caches on the flag pole of Parliament House. A quick stop on the way home and the cache was soon in hand. You aren't kidding about "can't miss it", but then things hidden in plain sight are sometimes the best. Great cache puzzle idea, TFTC.
Ahh a pretty pristine log, Easy find at the GZ this time, Last time I looked for this I was around the corner no wonder it wasn't found then.

Log refreshed - I wish they'd re-landscape so I can put the cache back where it belongs.
Finally we had a chance to do ride around the lake and this enabled me to solve this one. I generated a close GZ and found the cache as described but very wet! Could not sign the log as it was mush! All good fun! Thanks B&S.
Finally all smileys on Parliament House!

After slogging it around LBG yesterday and making a meal of it, the reward today was picking up this cache. Found pretty easily on the 3rd sign I checked, although I will be logging maintnenace on this one.
Logged from my phone using the Geocache Navigator by Trimble

The magnet securing the container to the sign has come away from the container, so I found the magnet on the sign, but the container on the ground. It just needs a bit of glue. I put the container back on the magnet and jammed it in against the sign-post, but this wont hold for long.

Nice quick find today after work. Had called by earlier but muggle factor was high then, so was glad to make a nice quick find later.
Thanks for the interesting puzzle and the cache!

Make it today - found the micro,,, SL. Thanks for replacement and organising the cache and hunt.
I had a good look for this earlier in the year. With the recent maintenance log, I thought this was a good opportunity to go back and check whether I was in the right area. Yep, I was as much vegetation has been removed - bonus - First To Sign the new log
I've put a temporary cache in place until GZ is restored.
The temporary cache is a magnetic keyholder stuck behind the sign 21 metres from GZ - you can't miss it!
Oh, Weeping willow tree
We weep in sympathy ...
The lakeside has been cleared of just about everything, including the cache.
We'll replace it 'tho. In time.

Search and bit confuse me.... no cache on my hand so DNF for me.... Smile. Will email to the owner to check if I am correct the coordinate. Thanks.
Another quality Bubble & Squeak cache.
We have been concentrating on cleaning up some older 'CBD' caches of late and this has meant finding 3 B&S caches in the last week or so. This was another clever one, that once looked at (more than once) was an easy one to solve.
Called in this afternoon on the way home and made the find fairly quickly. The cache is in good shape, even though it hasn't been found that often in the last 12 months.
Thanks guys, another enjoyable find. TNLN.

940 - As Sol says we have really enjoyed looking into and finding these caches by B&S.
Some simple (?) map work led us to the general area and then the clue (great work) zeroed us in to the cache. In good condition and for once no muggles about so it was a quick sign, return, and back to car...
TNLN - TFTC !!

Found at the start of a very long day doing a caching tour of Canberra. Needed a little assistance with the maths here, but found cache easily, thanks to the hint. TNLN.

Thanks for the puzzle and the hunt, bubble & squeak.
Found this cache on an easy lunchtime run. After finding GZ (but not the cache) for Ride Around the Lake on Sunday I finally had the required info to find this cache. After doing some artwork in Google Earth not very sucessfully I found a webpage that would do the required projections for me.
GE revealed roughly where the cache would be and using the clue I found the cache pretty easily.
Now I have finished all four puzzle caches based on top of Parliament House. If you use the GC mapping function you can only see one of the caches as all four have exactly the same coords (the top cache blocks the other out). It might be worth varying them slightly so people can see all four. Thanks very much Bubble and Squeak.

so embarrassing.... i did my triangulation in GE and then went to the location, didn't find anything so broadened the search area, thats when i found the area matching the clue, no cache to be found there though!! I had found a duplicate area to the clue descriptions, but when i got home i realized the actual location was MUCH closer to where i had originally worked it out to be. Sorry for all the fuss.

Mewton seemed to be in the right place from the description of his DNF so we created a new cache & biked down to set it. Only to find that the original was in still place!
Boo hoo, Did not Find Emailed owned and they confirmed i was looking in the right place, they are going to check it out.....
This was a fun cache in a pleasant location. Obviously the large possum asleep in one of the trees thought it a pleasant spot too - I thought I might come away emtpy handed when he seemed to be parked in the most likely location. But I found the cache nearby, then wandered back to my parking spot seeing a blue wren and his jenny, and family of ducks along the way. Very nice way to finish the day thanks Bubble and Squeak.

I have now got triangulation figured out using the GPS.
I got very close and decided to use the hint - which was good because GPS was taking me about 20 meters away.
A very pleasant area this afternoon with water views.
Thanks Bubble & Squeak for the novel cache concept.

Our eleventh of thirty-three finds on our first day in Canberra in the company of dak's Emu Mob.
Hmmmm.... TomTom is sure getting a work out as is our little hire car... not sure how many wrong turns / U Turns and One-way-streets we managed but we finally made it to GZ for this cache. We love Trig caches... it may be time for a few new ones in Brissy Thanks to bubble & squeak for the cache.

Eighth of ten finds on my fifth day/night in Canberra. After spending a fruitless 80 minutes logging yet another DNF at "Canberra's Smallest", I decided to look for a few caches closer to home. This was the first of them. I had done the maths in Melbourne, but made a spectacular error. [B)] I contacted B&S for confirmation, and they advised me that my calculated GZ was approximately 2.4km out. They also gave me some vital information to correct my error. I parked nearby, and found the cache at 2205. I made no exchange. Thanks to bubble & squeak for the cache. Cheers, dak.
Found @ 5:15pm. Glad to have the chance to do this cache having recently picked up ride around the lake. Nice accurate coords and an easy find near a busy thoroughfare. Had to time the retrieval and replacement to perfection. TFTC TNLN.
What a lovely morning to be out for a walk. Perfect caching weather! SuperJaz and I had worked out the area a couple of weeks ago, we just needed the right opportunity to try and find the cache, and today was that day.
Once in the area, using the clues to confirm we had things right it only took a few minutes searching to find the container.

I had worked out the general vicinity for this cache many months ago using no more than a map, and finally decided to make an effort to find it today. Of course my method was pretty inexact, so the clue was definitely needed & worked a treat (but the black is now more like grey). Amazingly I walk past this cache most weekends & had not deciphered the clue previously - it made much more sense when I have my caching hat on. Once I started searching I began to wonder if the cache was still here after all this time (I had not checked the listing, otherwise I would have soon realised that there had been plenty of recent finders). Anyway, with not a muggle in sight, I was able to quickly retrieve the cache, sign the log & move on to my next challenge. TFTC.

Finally cleared all the geocaches off my home coordinates. now to get the rest. This was a tough task just remembering where all the caches were but I had two locations and after a long search I came up with the goods. Would have been quicker if I had read the hint. Was amused in my search by the antics of a pair of Aussie Pukekos and their strutting around the grass.
468. Maths, nah. Guesswork, yes. Worked well until GZ where it all went to hell. Searched for ages with no luck. every single tree came under suspicion. Almost ready to give up and sauntering toward the car realised that there are 2 sides to every clue. To hand very quickly.
Thanks for the fun and a cool search in the misty rain. Do you put that on for all seekers ?

Found @ 11.13am with Fore!
Had a play in Google Earth with this one having just completed "A Ride around the Lake" yesterday.
An opportunity arose to search for this after assisting Fore! in Civic. Luckily, I'd also checked the hint for confirmation early this morning as I didn't take anything else with me.
After searching for 15-20mins success was had! I did however re-hide the cache a little better than when I found it. It's still in good nick.
Took: Nothing. Fore! took mini carabiner
Left: alien keyring. Fore! left pirate with sword
TFTC! - enjoyed solving this one.

I think I could be classed as a "hanger-on" for this cache, but none-the-less it was indeed found by allrounder and myself.
Many a spider-web came to grief in our search. Luckily I know that they haven't thrown away the blueprint for how to rebuild their cacher traps!

This particular cache was very difficult because we had no clue whatsoever were the willow tree was! we ended up searching almost every single tree in the centre and outer suburbs of Canberra! We were very dissapointed not to have been able to find this one so after spending all of the morning searching we eventually gave up and fed our weary and hungry tummies.

After completing ride around the lake yesterday, decided I had enough info to map out this one. Equalateral triangles are definitely easier to sort out than circles. (Of course, I still need one more point for the circle). My calcs got me close (15meters to be exact), but used an offset from the clue to finalize. Took nothing, left an astronaut. Thanks for mapping this one out.
Well I was only able to narrow it down to a zone in my mapping software. On site, it was no problem to check a few of the obvios spots, and there it was.

After marking the required locations on a map and ruining a good map by drawing lines all over it we determined the location was on top of the Opera House in Sydney. Once we used the correct map we had no problems.
Found this with a lot of help from ADAcache on our speedy cache hunts today. Cache is in good condition, TNLNSL, TFTC.

Interesting way to do a cache. Found it about 10 metres from my coords. Nice day for a walk. TFTC. TNLN.
Thanks to the weather there weren't any muggles cycling or walking by so I was able to search around in peace. I do like the maths based caches and this one was no exception so thanks for the challenge. I probably looked like a bit of a goose walking around in circles trying to get the correct bearings to Geo and A Ride .. - so thanks for the challenge. TNLN
Had a look in many candidate locations, before finding the right spot. Another B&S geometry cache ticked off.
Did a rough check on my map software and headed to the expaected location. Had a bit of a look around and then resorted to the clue. Picked up the cache within 1 min, must have just about looked right at it on my first search

Well done.

Well done.
Well I regrouped. I checked my maths and found a minor error . This time I was within 25m of the cache (which is within the limit of error for the calculations - so I'm happy). TN, left The Ball.
I didn't bother looking at a map, I went straigh for the mathematics. Calculated the third apex and went hunting - only to find the apex is about 100m off shore. Not expecting this I tried the clue but this didn't help much. So I didn't get a chance to look for the cache itself. I will have to regroup. I checked the map after getting home and I was in the right area..
Tried on Thursday night, but the dark and spider webs prevented me from finding it. In the daylight, no problem. Writehanded (my new partner in crime) was amazed at the speed with which I found it. TNLN. Thanks B&S.
Found, I ride through here all the time and recognised the clue straight away TNLN.
Found this one early last month, but only getting around to logging it now.
I had a little trouble plotting this one out on a map as I only had the yellow pages map. So I need to work over 3 different pages. This did not help my accuracy so my final result was about 200 meters off.
So after realisation this was not the correct place I used a lot of trial and error to narrow down the location.
The clues where a big help and do really make sense when you get there.
Seeing as it was a month ago that I did the find I have now forgotten what I swapped out. But I do remember leaving my sun glasses there as I had to go back latter that day to collect them.
Thanks

Initially went looking for an isosceles triangle, for which there are any number of locations!!!! Then, I realised it was an equilateral triangle that was required - ah easy - went straight to cache and had it within 2 minutes. Left a little car, took small carabeena, then Cooeee off I went to find the keyring circus.
Have to agree that the maths on this was easier but the find was harder.
Great place for a cache, thanks Bubble & Squeak.

I managed to get much closer to GZ on this cache than I had at Circles Centre. The choice of trees left me looking for a while though. Eventually I used the GPSr to find a tree the correct distance from the clue and hey presto. My choice of path on the way back to the car was picturesque but left me covered in cobwebs. A pretty spot for a cache though. TNLNSL.
Ahh the maths was certainly easier than Circle’s Centre, but for that, finding the cache was somewhat harder! (There’s tons of trees around here!) But, I was lucky again, and managed to plot quite close to the correct spot! I’m just nervous that the next one will be “Ellipse’s Focus!†– I think my maths skills don’t go that far any more!
TNLN, thanks bubble & squeak for another great cache, and of course, honing my maths skills!
