One of the pitfalls of paperless caching is that you can miss very recent logs. We can also confirm the cache and the tree are no longer there.
Passed this one with sez&jon this afternoon whilst doing another multicache in the area. The tree had been cut down recently (there was chainsaw swarf still lying around although the area had been cleared) and there was no sign of the cache. Sez&jon had found it previously and knew where to look, so we could confirm that it was no longer where it should have been. This one should be checked out.
Quick Find and 1 of 3 found successfully on a bright, geocaching day. #181 for me and quick log and were off! TFTH. ClownyCacher
quick find. a bit of rubbish in the street here. TFTC! TNLNSL. cheers, kiwicachers
the first find of the day with tardischick and gsvnofixedabode. Tardischick was on the money and found this in a short time.
Tnln. Thanks!
Tnln. Thanks!
#456 (7/7 on a SE Chch day). Reception not great, but not too hard to find. All quiet on the neighbouring house front. TFTC.
We had just found McCombs, so decided we'd have a pleasant stroll by the river to find this one as well.
Reception wasn't great and there had obviously been recent caching activity, covering a large area, so was pleased when StreetWalkerNZ came up trumps. Area around GZ not terrain 1, though!

nice quick find, noone to spy on us at 3am all sound asleep. TFTH, dropped in a TB
Somehow had wrong coords loaded in GPS so had a longer than needed walk. Yukky, rubbish everywhere but cache was safe. TFTC
Found it just from the coordinates given by a fellow cacher met earlier in the day. Quite pleased with ourselves for finding it quickly without needing clues or reading previous logs Thanks Warbut, and TFTC
Couldn't look for this one as the nearby house had muggles in the window and they were all looking at me - didn't help that 5 minutes erlier I had inadvertly followed my gps down their driveway on my bike - oooppps. Found the right entrance to walkway but didn't want to push my luck with a search.
About time I got this off my list.
Nice easy find, the nearby houses keep you on edge.

Found on way home by bike. Added a bit more camouflage as it was a little visible.
A bit of a damp walk but an enthusiastic one for Stretch0 as this was his #300th find !!! You sure get to see a lot of walkways with geocaching thanks for the cache took nothing left nothing
Nice little walk along the river and rewarded with #300 find Thanks for the cache
A nice and quick find. There were no muggles in the sight when the cache was found. It was very pleasant walking along the river from the bridge. Thanks for the cache.
Nice easy find with Kwaka40. Our first weekend away caching together!
The river was a bit murky today.

Second cache of the day and we have a TB. Went to the wrong side of the river at first. Didn't fancy doing a swim across, so back tracked, went round the block. -elastigirl TB +$2
This was only 120 mtr from motel we stayed in.
up for the Bon Jovi concert.
Early morning find. what a disgusting river, I know it comes from an estuary but the amount of rubbish floating past disgusting.
Was intending on doing more caches but lost the enjoyment with the amount of Tagging, vandalism, and burn outs all over the place.

Parked nearby for a quick visit. The cache location is nicely hidden from the neighbouring houses. SL. TFTC.
Also logging in and out our England Geocoin.

tried to come in from the wrong side at first, need a topo map. Walked back around, slight drizzle, which added to the fun, found cache, was squatting down signing logbook when a jogger jogged past, probally wonder what I was doing.
TFTC and the fun!
TFTC and the fun!
Started this walk off on the wrong side of the river, so got twice the walk, for half the price! Used this location to launch Jnr B's first TB.
A nice hide, I wouldn't want to be in that part of the city after dark though, cheers.
Walked around the area a few times but we got it in the end, takes a good set of eyes!!
Very easy Find. Only one wierd guy hanging round with a beer and a golf club. Quite a dodgy area.
The people next door were all outside...After hanging around the tree looking into the river for about 10 minutes, I decided to call it quits....another time maybe.....
Easy find, wet weather so the nearby has had fogged up windows. Unfortunately also meant I got soaked, but at least muggles weren't an issue.

Quick find of a good hide. Couldn't see anyone home next door, good thing.
TNLN, many thanks.

Down in Chch on business.. I took a lunch break and came here as the nearest cache to client.
Easy enough find once the GPSr settled on a particular tree.!!!
Signed the log and left calling card.

Quick find in a spot with a cool breeze. Only a duck to come and say hello, no one home behind. TNLN Thanks.
An easy find with Scott(3), William(5), Tiffany and Stuart.
No sign of muggles at home, but a few other track users around.
Cache in good condition.

Like Lyttletonwitch, I started on the wrong side of the river.
An easy find but very close to muggles habitat.

A quick find. The muggles left their home as we were in the middle of logging. The baby muggle proceeded to home in on us. Nevermind. Mission completed. Not quite sure why this hiding spot was chosen. We passed what seemed to be a multitude of secluded locations along our walk.

Easy enough find-watching those muggles watching TV in their unit across the way

Was on the wrong side of the river at first.Found the cache fairly quickly once I had figured not to go the muddy way. Then had to wait for the people in the house to disappear before re-surfacing.They gave me a huge fright when they opened and then closed their garage door.
Had to dodge the drunks still celebrating from last night. Thought the cache site was quite close to the neighbours and felt a bit exposed. TFTC
Found this cach today, not really a great spot unless your a secret spy or something,as there were people wondering all around the house well within veiw,so it took a while until the coast was clear, cheers and thanks,
We were on the wrong side of the river to begin with, but once we corrected that , the cache find was no problem. TNLN Thanks
Luckily when I got to GZ a noticed the local muggle child peering out the window, he watched me for a while then lost interest. The cache was quickly retreived, taken down the track, log and swaps made then a check to make sure no eyes were watching and the cache was replaced. TFTC

8:20pm, #17 of day 4 of our week in Chch (that's 65 to date). A bit of waiting for the large front window to be vacated and then in behind the tree and out!
We were out looking for Bollards and Bridges when this one came up on my GPS as the closest WP when we were heading back to our car. Without any info to guide us found the cache in record time. Took a coin and left some ballast (stone)
Do you live in the house with the large window looking straight at the tree which the cache must be behind. If not why not go 100m ether way or across the river to place your cache .Just gave up even tring to find this just to puplic.
Went for a late afernoon walk to get out of the house. A nice sunny day but still cold, took some nice shots. Didnt take too long to find the cache which was good as the grass was still wet. The cache is in good condition, took nothing, left nothing.
Easy find this afternoon, but very hard to be discreet, with a muggles front window look straight at us... but then realised those cats on the window sill were not alive - just statues. Grabbed the TB Red Musican for a trip north. Thanks for bringing us here.
Tricky to do without being watched. Had to make a stealth grab and restash. Easy find, though. Took coin as it does look good. We will have to find it a fun new home.TFTC. Linleye.
Had to pretend I was going to look at the river as there were watchers around. Easy find. Took the geocoin as it looks great, even though it isn't trackable. TFTC.

The river Avon looks somewhat different here. Not so clean and inviting as in the centre of the city. At this time of the day no muggles – except a cat which was watching us. TFTC. No Trade

Dropped in the Greenman Geocoin, as we were doing Bollards and Bridges. Sorry, but this coin isn't trackable, but it is kind of cool looking.
Nice day for a bike ride, was on wrong side of river to start but got there in the end. Cheers.
Nice One!!!!!! Easy find. Had to be VERY VERY discreet as the neighbours would have wondered what idiots would be in the area on such a rainy afternoon. In the end no problem. TNLN Thanks
Found on my second attempt, the river wasn't quite so high this time. Only slid in the mud once! TNLN
Second nice and easy one, which made my day. Only went looking for two and found both. Cheers KiwiLegend and crew!!

I had to avoid work crew in the area as well as neighbors eyes. One of 20 for the day on my last day in NZ. Thanks.
Found the cache under cover of darkness due to muggles. Took out hair scrunchie - put in fridge magnet taken from Stairway to Heaven (BOP).
Quick find for this one, and no curtain twitching in evidence (too early?). All these walking tracks by the rivers in Christchurch are brilliant - lucky people!

We must have been one of the few people who went to the right side of the river first - it just looked more likely. Found easily. - purse, + hairclip.
Like a lot of others found it this morning after first going to the wrong side of the river. I soon realized it with the arrow pointing 30 metres across the river.
Don't think I saw any curtains twitching. TNLN

Parked at the wrong spot, and had a long walk, but got there eventually. Took nothing, left nothing.
Found it! Started looking on the wrong side of the river and realised we were in the wrong place.
Thanks for the find. We initially looked on the wrong side of the river as we don't have a gps
