Second cache had some muggles on our trail but a little sidestepping had us successfully evade them. Took a homesick kiwi trackable and he can come on holiday with us at a kiwi Bach. Will post his info soon.
The log book is almost done, a few pages left but FYI

Nice quick find once I arrived at GZ. The longest part about this cache is the walk to GZ as access road had chain across it. TFTC TNLNSL
A quick stop at the park and I managed to dodge the showers to get to GZ relatively dry. Quick find once there. Nicely recovered park land. TFTC, Biggles.
Not very good caching weather but for us at the moment, it all about the numbers and reaching our targets . GPS was having a hissy fit with the extreme overcast conditions so took a little while to locate GZ but finally located the cache . T4TC.
Finally got one of the older caches of my to-do list.
Nice area. Love flax.

Great location - been round here plenty but never with geocaching equipment. Great placement - but beware of the preying mantis! TFTC.
Nice easy find during lunch break, muggle free at the GZ although a group of council workers were having their lunch break at the same time about 30 meters away.

Lovely spot for a walk after a brief but less than fun hospital appointment nearby earlier in the morning - thanks for bringing us here.
Bright sunshine and blue skies above the surrounding water made for a pleasant walk to GZ. After a couple of walk-bys to zero in on the spot and a good deal of fossicking about, the cache was ours just seconds before a cycling muggle and his hound passed by. TNLNSL - T4TC!
Cache in good order if a little damp. FYI: Parks staff were working on plantings close to GZ at the time of our visit.

Lots of glass on the road and carpark.
Interesting spot and also didn't stop to count the palms.
Found this alone as the kids were asleep. Big park with lots of muggles doing their own thing but where I was going there was complete isolation.

Quiet day today, although there was a big new years day party in a park over the way. So that must have kept the muggles entertained. We managed to find this one without being disturbed.
TNLN SL Thanks for the cache.

I had never been to this park before in spite of having lived not too far away for 22 years. Locals were out in force playing kirikiti, or Samoan Cricket - in the field adjacent to the cache. TNLN T4TC. Cheers.
Straight forward find AC and GC left the fossils behind and had the cache open and log signed by the time JC and KC ambled up.
Cache was a bit wet on inside, so we dried it out and repacked everything in plastic bags.

This has to be on of the most friendly flaxes we have meet, easy find. I'd recomend this to all geocachers with a flax phobia. Eighth for the day ... nice end to a great weekend.
Another fun Zork cache, now no longer on our to-do list.
Thanks Zork for showing us these little gems of places.
Beaten to this one today by Geocooley who joined us for the afternoon.
Left some monster game cards, and took nil.

Fifth and final cache for the morning. MTB caching expedition with Xenacommander is great fun with no parking problems ... hee hee we could "park" right next to most caches. Our legs were running out of fuel so after a quick find by XC we retired to one of the magnificent and massive picnic tables for a well earned lunch.

Ah hah.. A Zork container... hmm could be anything..
cycled here with TechnoKitten on our mountain bikes.. Legs were getting tired by this time.. this was our 5th find.
Another part of auckland I haven't been to before... nice park. Not many people around and we were able to cycle right to GZ..
TK went off looking but XC honed in to the obvious spot and found...!!! Yaay.. one out of 5 for the day.. lol..
TNLNSL and had lunch at nearby picnic table..
With return journey we coverted 42.8 kms... no wonder my legs are aching...
Great sport..

A quick dash in and out, as I was a little unsure of the intentions of some loiterers in the carpark after their strange comments they made when I parked. All was well however and I was quickly on my way. Unfortunately too little time was spent appreciating the location.
Cool spot for a cache. Shame that there are now only 47 palms - had to count them a few times to be sure.

A visit late evening - heaps of activity on some of the adjacent playing fields. The cause was helped by the bright floodlighting - plunging GZ into deep stealthy shadow. TNLNSL, thanks Zork

Did a bit of Cache Maintence on this one put everything out in the sun, put in new silica, log and plastic bags. Info sheet still a bit damp but have moved the cache away from direct contact with vegatation and upright so less likely to get wet again. Lovely spot Zork
Last of the day - number 11. The cache container (fab camo as usual) is very wet inside. Could barely write the log. HAd nothing on me to dry it out unfortunately.

4th of the day.
A couple of muggles around but they were more interested in the Police Helicopter that flew in twice to land in the middle if the field. (See Pic)
I'm not sure what they were doing but the pilot just ran out and tokk what looked like his lunch from a waiting undercover police car in the carpark. [?]
Any ways after all that action it was back to the cache find and it wasn't to hard. Finding a place out of the bone chilling wind to write the log was harder.

Think the helicopter took a police photograher for a quick spin but not sure.
The other muggle with a dog came pretty close but think she was convinced we wanted to sit in sun out of the wind.
+ mini gel pens and a set of pencils, suler and sharpener. Also a little necklace found on the grass nearby - but definitely not likely to be what the cops were looking for!
- party popper

Easy find. Fun for kids to find biggest flax bush. Just enough parking in the evening. Thanks.
Last find of the evening and it was just about sunset. Speed my way to GZ and found in in about 30 seconds - would have been quicker but I picked the wrong piece of vegetation. Nice wee spot. No exchange made. Cheers Gav [423]
GPS and coordinates were spot on, took me right to it. Soon found a familiar looking Zork V container.
Pencil inside cache is slightly broken. If next visitor brings a pencil sharpener, they will have an easier time of writing a log than me.
Council seems to be trying to plant trees at the worst time of the year for planting. A fair number are now only good for firewood.

I hoped to get ahead of Willbuild on this as I set off from home within 90 minutes of it appearing on the web site.I opened the log bokk and !^&*%$!! There is willbuilds stamp. I thought you built houses Willbuild? My question is when?
Anyways I hunted around at the indicated GZ and zilch. So I checked the clue and wandered off and soon made the find.
(I see the error has been corrected.)
