Logged with permission from owner, thank you, all plaques are back in place and questions can be answered. Lets hope this cache can be unarchived as it is an informative place to visit with good views too. Thanks for bringing us here Team Red Roo.
Visited this after it was archived as it was in the GPX file that I had. Will email photo to owners when I get home to NZ.

Logged with permission - Thanks.
A great spot to visit on my way from Perth to Geraldton. Very scenic.
Wouldn't have strayed this far off the main road if it weren't for this cache.

Some interesting information around here - although we wondered what was on the missing plaque. Thanks for bringing us here - we wouldn't have known about it from our end of town.
Worst day in Dongara history ... felt like it anyway.
Thanks to Wayne and Kathryn for the cache.

On our 1st visit out of Perth we were happy to find this interesting site. Great spot and lovely day to visit this historic obelisk.
Many thanks!

1300hrs - Took a photo on the disposible camera, but noted the answers down in case the piccy doesn't come out. However, there is a blank rectangle on one face of the monumnet where a plaque is mising, so one of the questions is currently unanswerable. Nice cache - thanks!
The family have stayed in Pt Dennison many times. It is always worth a drive up here at sunset..

It was so windy my bike could barely gain speed down the hill! A very interesting historical site.
2nd find on our 10day holiday here with mum and geokid, took photo of geokid, hope this counts. Beautiful views. Mum has been coming here for years and never been here. Cheers!
Nice to stop here for a break from driving, I'd never been in here before. Thanks for showing us this place.
Have visited this location several times before, its always been quite windy, but not today, a lovely sunny afternnon. Picture taken a little distance away as you can see.! After carrying my caching kit up to the lookout..guess what? No camera, so back down to the car again, running late for our arrival in Gero, so snapped this from the car park on the Sea Front. I did go up there...Promise!!
Lived in Dongara for over 20 years & never took the time to go there & read the plaques.

After getting no reply to my mail with the answers to the questions I decided to log my visit anyway, though it poured cats and dogs the day we took that pic (that's why I didn't want to post it in the first place...).

On our holiday we travel from Broome to Perth in a 4WD campervan, and we intend to find some caches on our way...
Nice place for a short visit, and another cache find.

We decided to take Ians new Monaro for a bit of a drive to Dongara and remembered there was an unfound cache there.
What a great day it was too, we had fish and chips at the Marina. How Dongara and Port Denison has grown in the past 2 years - its no wonder so many ex-Karratha-ites are taking up residence there.
A perfect end to Ians week off - now back to work for two weeks!!!

We spend our holiday in Western Australia and are (unfortunately) back home again, so finally time to log our caches. We enjoyed the views from this place. Also our TB Lucky Topocat wandered around a little bit and afterwards jumped back in our backpack. Since we don't have a picture with ourselves or our GPS together with the obelisk, we will send the answers as well.
Thanks for the cache!

We visited this spot last year and recorded the answers but lost the paper! So have finally got the answers to record our visit... Theres some good Octopus hunting ground on the reef just out to the west of here on low tide. Thanks Roos!
Ok I know it has taken me a long time to log this one (it's not February 12) but I notice that Treasure Trover (my partner in geocaching frivolities) has yet to log his too. We were on a two-family trip and did a couple of caches in the area. We were up here on a windy windy day. Dongara/Port Denison is a great place and I highly recommend it for bringing the kids.
Answers to questions are in the mail and have sent pic of me and obelisk Thanks for the informative trip home
This find was coincidence.I saw the obelisken and could this virtual Cache remember.A very beautiful place however on this day very windy. Thanks for the Cache
I love this town. From fishing, 4WDing, swimming or just relaxing in the sun. I didn't appreciate the history though until I spent the time to read the plaques.
Visited by Couper1 on morning of o4o405.Enjoyed the drive down from Geraldton. So did my dog Thunder.Sent the answers to the 4 questions to.Team Red Roo.Parked about 600m away from site so I could walk Thunder. There were other people visiting the site.It was a good day to do so and warmer than the last few days have been. Thanks Team Red Roo.
We could almost have done this cache using just our own photos from last years trip. We stood in the same location and took some pictures of the area. We read the plaques and noted the information (but never wrote it down...silly us) and we looked around for a suitable place to put a cache as it was a worthy place for a cache. But after looking for a good hidy hole ( we did consider under the access steps or the platform...but decided you needed to climb over and walk on the bush that they were trying to rehabilitate)so we dropped the idea and left it as is. Its nice to see someone could use the place in a worthwhile cache-(esque) manner. I (we) shall return...as General MacAurthur said in the Philipines. Then we will log it as a find
Sent Email to Redroo with answers pretty sure they are right. Had a quick job in Geraldton, wilst there quickly checked the Geo site at the gero library and noticed this. Didnt have a camera or a GPS but knew the location of this past nav aid. While my work partner kept the motor running I quickly scanned the monument. Its good to catch up on some of WA's history. Cant say to much or I'll give it away. Thanks Red for the lesson.
