I am at my wits end regarding getting caches approved - because of the stupid rules that appear to be in force by GC - reviewers appear to use a different set of rules to the guidelines than those that GC publish on their website and this causes friction between reviewers and Geocachers. GC appears to ignore both requests and valid appeals, and that is just not good enough! - so the only options left for me is to both archive my active caches and to not renew my Premium membership.
While both of these things will happen this year (after 15 or 16 years continuous premium membership), I intend to continue to look for both GA and GC caches. You may still see me at events or perhaps in the field. I'm aware that this is like a 'shout in the dark' and that TPTB will never hear my voice, but that's Ok - there is a life after GC.
There is a fair chance that this cache will re-appear as a GA cache.

I was all prepared to answer the questions but as a photo is enough I figured why waste the CO's time with a message when I can put up a photo of me with a tree appearing to grow out the side of my head [:o)]
We read the information, and I even snapped a photo of it and the kids.
We had noticed quite a few lopsided trees but his one certainly takes the cake.
Thanks Team Red Roo

While the leaning trees we saw before were huddled together, this one is huge and solitary, lying all alone in its fenced off field. A really impressive specimen.

Greetings from Scotland. We are meandering our way from Perth to Exmouth and staying in Geraldton tonight. We saw the camera sign when we passed earlier but hadn't realised what it was for. When we were returning to Geraldton we realised there was a cache here and pulled over for a look. It certainly is a very impressive tree. We never realised it was possible for a tree to do this without breaking and we liked how the branches and leaves are now growing skywards. We enjoyed reading the poem on the notice board. We took our photo as our proof of visit and headed back towards Geraldton.
*This is our 10385th logged find. Found at 18:24 hrs.* TFTC

What an amazing tree. I guess it was fed up with these stormy weather conditions here and decided to grow like this. F*ck the wind

Thanks for the cache and a good reason to stop and admire the trees. Answers and photo emailed.
Well we were reading the information about the tree and whilst we were a wriggly stick went by my daughter's foot. I was the only one brave enough to get out the car and take a photo.
CamperVan trip from Perth to Exmouth.

Came with Team Pathfinder. We thought that tree was dead! But no! Thanks for the awesome virtual!
On the way south along the coast there were so many natural beauties to discover.
Thanks for showing.
Thanks for showing.
Headed to Kalbarri for a couple of days. I have driven past this tree many times but decided to stop here today as we were with family visiting from the UK. Quick check of the app revealed a virtual here so it was selfie time TFTC and have a fave from us.
The wind was certainly blowing today as we jumped out for a quick photo opportunity here. TFTC
I have memories of these trees from many camping trips to Kalbarri when I was little. It’s nice to be able able to show the GeoKids today. TFTVC!
Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was from Jurien Bay to Geraldton
.
On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Tradi-Cache.
Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.
Thanks to 'Wayne and Kathryn - Team Red Roo' for showing us this location and for the fun we had with 'Windy Arbor'. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately. Answers in the evening.
Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest.

Found it. TFTV Team Red Roo. Sent my answers to the CO. Last time I took a selfie I didn’t recognise the person in the photo.
After attending a nearby event on IGD, I am beginning my journey back to Victoria. A quick stop for a virtual could not be resisted. Thanks Team Red Roo for this virtual.
Couldn’t have come to the area without taking the opportunity to show the boys this landmark, spent some time talking about how the tree ended up like it is before sending through the answers to the CO.
Thanks Wayne and Kathryn - Team Red Roo for placing this cache for me to find, this is find number 1730 for me.

Along the way we would make a stop to check out the “Leaning Trees”. This cache only needed a picture, so there you go.

Found during my half lap adVANture from Adelaide. interesting trees around here. TFTC.
Just driving through on my way up to camp near Geraldton for a few days and saw there was a virtual on the way. So guaranteed that I’m stopping, haha! Amazing tree - and something I would have driven straight past and missed otherwise. Nature certainly has a way around things hey. Worst time of day to get a picture though as the sun was coming down behind the tree. Pic is attached but have also sent my answers off to the CO too Thanks for creating this cache and giving me a reason to stop off here - TFTC
Today we went to Geenough to the Open-air Museum. We passed this Leaning Tree. Looks really great!
TFTC! Although in a hurry, a short stop was made at the lying tree to get the answers for this cache. A funny mood of nature that is presented here to the astonished visitor. Always worth a visit - many thanks to the owners for showing. Without geocaching, we certainly would not have seen this phenomenon.
Interesting tree, obvious consistently strong winds here.
Left Geraldton early morning, heading home to Perth, via "scenic" route finding and hiding caches along the way.

Great spot and nice opportunity for a virtual! Had a quick break here on our way to Kalbarri. Being hopeless at taking selfies, I have sent my answers to the COs. Thank you for the cache Team Red Roo.
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 9912. We found this as part of our 2018 Round Australia trip.
We drove past this one today and we will update our log with a photo soon. A great example of the tenacity of nature.
Thanks Team Red Roo for the cache.

Today we travelled from Geraldton to Jurien Bay and made a stop at the leaning tree. What a surprise how these trees look like!

I decided to have a big day and find as many in and around Geraldton today before heading further north. After the series around the airport, I decided to drive south for a bit. Windy indeed, especially if you are a single tree with no friends nearby! TFTC!!
On the drive up to Gero from Perth today.
Had to stop off here to do this one. Not every day you get to log a virtual. TFTC

We are learning something new every day! Have taken a photo of tree and male membsec and will send answers when reception is better!
Thanks for making us stop!

Nice stop on our way to Geraldton for our Abrolhos cruise. Certainly windy around these parts! Thanks
After visiting Jurien Bay we drove further northwards, with Kalbarri NP as our final destination. On the way we have visited the wonderful Pink Lake and several convict settlements. Geraldton was not our favorite today. Today was 10 degrees cooler than it is supposed to be at this time of the year..
Special tree, I choose for the photo option!

Wonderful! Informative panels too. I am very used to these sights as the trees grow in a very similar manner in Orepuki in Southland, New Zealand, about an hour from where I grew up. Poor things but you can't help but laugh and admire how they adapt in adversity. TFTC # 11,390
Flew in last night for a wedding at the Hamlet.. with limited time on my hands I had to be very picky about the caches I found. This cache made the cut
In between the wedding and the reception I snuck off up here to snap a couple of photos and take in some history.
Thanks for the cache.. photo of a windswept me attached

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment Team Red Roo. Appreciate your effort.

Out and about getting a couple caches here and there and headed into town for some shopping when as per the weekly ritual we came across this very windy area, we checked the phones and found that this was a cache location and decided we had to grab the smiley.

Well this cache took some Ks to complete. Saw and chatted about the tree as I drove past it in a tagalong with Coruze but we kept on keeping on. Set up camp then found out that it was the virtual we were hoping to get. Only one thing for it, backtrack to get the info. Thanks Team Red Roo for this cache.

After leaving Geraldton a lot later than planned our minds were pretty fixed on our lodging for the night which happened to be Eneabba.
As we passed the tree we quickly discussed whether we should stop for a photo on the UHFs as we passed but decided to keep going. The following day we had a little look on the GPS and realised it was a virtual!!
Crap do we forget about it??.....nah couldn't do that!
The decision was made to go back and do the 200 odd klm round trip just to get the photo!.....yep I think that just made us look crazy but we just couldn't leave without doing it!
Thanks again Team Red Roo for another virtual and bringing us here (twice lol)

Day 46 on my trip from Perth to the Red Centre Experience in Alice Springs with m4yb and Max the GeoUte pulling Jonathan Swift the Jayco camper trailer.
What an adventure it has been and great to get some caches along the route.
Now on our homeward journey via some great caches. Leaving the free camp at the bridge and heading for Cliff Head or somewhere thereabouts.
Missed logging this one last year so now have photo and answers.

This tree is a very well known feature of the area and we were happy to visit again, but this time as cachers. We can only imagine the strength of the southerly "breezes" that create trees like this. Thanks to Wayne and Kathryn - Team Red Roo for creating this cache.
Den Ort besucht und die Aufgabe gelöst. Besten Dank fürs Erstellen und greetings from Switzerland.
As we were planning our trip through Australia a friend told us about this tree, but we were not able to find it on the internet as he did not remember the name of it. Thanks to Geocaching, we found it anyway.
Thank you for taking us to this nice location.
