I didnt really spend much time here. I didnt want to unsettle of the local wildlife.
Hello 2y'stassies thank you for the cacheThis one took a little time before EeePees found it.EeePees and I came up this way to find some caches to get a souvenir that no one will see.Found on Sunday, 18 August 2024 at 0931**TFTC**
Thanks for the cache robtas, and 2y's.Took a bit of a search, but finally found the well hidden cache (as per the hint). It really does need some TLC, sadly we'd exhausted our spares yesterday on the Penguin series. Log is very damp, just signable with a **good** pen.Found with my chauffeur AlbyDangles on a trip up from Hobart staying 2 nights in Penguin, completing the GeoArt Penguin yesterday. Just finding a handful of caches this morning before we head home to the deep dark south!Cheers EPs
Driving past I decided to stop to make the search. Once at G Z a systematic search and a helpful hint enabled the cache to be found. The container was minus the lid and the log was very wet but I managed to get my name in it.
Enjoy the day today with the perfect warm sunny; I visited a small town for some caches and LAB.It took me searches for 15 minutes, but I finally got it as good dry.TFTC
Going for a drive from Burnie east along the coast road this afternoon as far as we can get before sunset, finding caches along the way. This is find #2 today. Nice little spot, the cache might need a bit of waterproofing in the future! TFTC
We are camped up the road at Sulphur Creek. This afternoon we went for a walk to explore and of course find some caches. Quick find here. Lovely views TFTc
Found this one today in what appears to be an active penguin colony, so do take care when looking for it. TFTC from the inspectorrexteam.
First cache find of the day...Took us a while but we found it. Replaced in same spot.!!!
After having a bit of lunch I wandered down to the beach to look at some special rocks and find this cache.

Thanks for the cache.
There are a bunch of caches along the northwest coast close the highway that I have been driving past for years, yet there has never been enough time to visit. This trip I was determined to stop and search for some of these caches.
This took a couple of minutes, but the hint helped.

GPS's didn't want to settle, than found the little one hiding, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO.
Found today caching with The X-Trailers. Great views and cache easily found. TFTC
Got off the SOT and headed west. Had to swap the rental car for a non- overheating one. Came here for lunch, and look, a cache! Quick find, TFTC!
Out n about with m4yb grabbing a few caches.
After a non eventful sail across the straight and a small drama with the first rental! Probably a computer issue with the temp gauge, all sorted do lunch at Highway halt and a cache to be found.
She found it and did signing duties and I think the first one in Tassie since 2018!
Thanks for the hide & 2y'stassies

Wearing the wrong shoes for the approach taken to this one thongs on ????? TFTC
The cache had gone missing. We have put in a temporary replacement in the same location but early in the new year, we will put in a different cache in a slightly different location, hopefully tethering the container so that it cannot move.
On a road trip from Hobart to Stanley with my mum over 2 weeks. We visited a number of towns and we were mainly targeting Virtuals and Earthcaches due to the amazing locations they take one to. We did pick up the random traditional, multi, puzzle, wherigo and even a couple letterbox caches whilst travelling.
As our road trip of Tasmania continued, we have done a majority of the East Coast and now we are heading west along the north coast. Today is our final day in Tassie as we make our way from Stanley back to Devonport ready to board the Spirit of Tasmania. Not many caches today as we had to get ourselves ready. I wanted to do the Adventure Lab in Penguin, but called past this one whilst doing the EC nearby, then I noticed it was an older cache, wow what a score!
Thanks for placing and maintaining this Geocache 2y'stassies

Stopped here on the way to Penguin as I like older caches. Looking back at the photos the old Panadol tin looked cute shame it’s long gone. Quick find here. TFTC.
Its all systems go for a full day of caching, starting with this one and going westwards. A convenient find just out of range of impending sea level rises. Thanks for keeping this one going 2y'stassies.
Found
Wow 3rd time lucky to find this cache/ returned today to find: the sea at low tide, the chips delicious and the cache a easy find!

Aquilus1 and I have been on a mission.....a mission to collect Australian states/counties. The target this time was Tasmania, with neither of us having found a cache yet in Tassie. So a loop was planned, starting/finishing in Lonny (even the plane pilot called it this!! Love that!). I was driving so my logs are a little more generic than Aquilus1's, my apologies.
Day #1 Leave Canberra at sparrows, transiting through Melbourne and collecting our car....first things first was to get the oldies along the cataract gorge, which was great as Aquilus1 had never been to Tassie before and its a great place to start. Onwards up the Tamar and then zigzagging across through Devonport, Burnie and eventually ending at Stanley.
Day #2 had us go back to Devonport for a FTF......yay! Then onto Hobart, via Queenstown! Long day through blizzards, hydro power and SO MUCH NOTHING! Beautiful nothing of course
Day #3 around Tassie.....into Huon valley, freezing to death in the water in Clarence, passed Port Arthur to see some caves and ending up in Sorrell
Day #4 was power trailing large letterboxes until we had to head back north to Lonny, via Buckland, Oatlands, Fingal and Scottsdale..... dodging wildlife after dark.....so scary!
Day #5 was a quick duck over to Flinders and back..... car rental place thought we were nuts! Then back to Canberra, safe and snug under my blanket for the -5 night.....now THATS cold!

Nice old cache here. Although not so long, not sure why it took us as long as it did to find but got there in time!
Trip log: Day 1 of our 5 day Tassie caching trip. With GreyHams we left Canberra very early and landing in Launceston it was a full day caching through till Stanley where we stopped for the night having found accomadation available.
Counties where our priority and with GreyHams awesome trip planning we had a list featuring some very select caches... as is always the case with our trips, if your cache made our list it had a quality we wanted, oldies, larges, counties, Jasmer loops featured high.
Snippets of history and scenic locations appeared through the day. It must be said it was damn cold at times yet some earlier walks had us down to T-shirts and the rain luckily passed through during one of the long drive stretches! The Esk river was great as was the Kimberley warm springs, so great to finally visit Tasmania, a first for me. Thanks for your cache that guided us on a full and enjoyable day!
