Checked this one and the area is not a place to take people any more. We couldn't find a reasonable place close by so time for this one to go.A replacement will be coming soon.
G'day BunjilSorry for the delay I have been away looking after my father as he had a few health issues but is getting better.I was planning on checking this one out and fixing it on Monday on my way home but unfortunately I have tested Positive to Covid.I had to come back early so it will be at least 7 days before I get there now.I will keep you updated as we would like to keep this one going if possible. If this is not suitable we do understand.Thanking you for your understanding.Wishing you a safe and happy new year.

**DNF Avenged!**I had originally came out here in April of last year, but after a fairly lengthy search I ended up having to walk away with a [DNF](https://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=c586f0bd-1f36-499f-98cf-7c0c828356d4). However, I was finally back in the area today to try and give this one a second look. So I ended up driving in and parking the geomobile fairly close to GZ. It was then only a short walk over to GZ. The weather was a bit cool today, but still pleasant and it was a nice little walk over.Although it had been over a year since I logged my [DNF](https://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=c586f0bd-1f36-499f-98cf-7c0c828356d4), as I approached GZ I was quickly flooded with memories of searching the beacons that I was now looking at.However, unlike my previous trip my phone was homing in on a beacon a bit further away. Well with having no luck last time, I decided to trust the phone and continued my walk, and good thing I did because as soon as my phone told me I was within 1 meter I looked down and instantly spotted the cache!*Woo hoo! That was much easier than last time!*It is alway fun finding a cache, but it is truely a special feeling to be able to avenge a DNF.A big thanks goes to [Team Crackers](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=3e759bb5-6c22-465a-adbd-913815d537ab&wid=eb710b13-491a-4e28-958e-196d4eaa3397&ds=2) for bringing me back out to this beautiful area of nature. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**One of the latches on the cache container is broken and so the cache container was not sealed. When I found the cache it was completely filled with water. I tried to best empty it, but the damage was done as the logbook is now a soggy mess. However, I was still able to read the hint for the final.

I was fishing nearby so used the opportunity to pick up a few local caches. This is a very quiet and peaceful spot, especially on a wet murky day. Just a real shame about all the dumped rubbish in the area since its a uncharted parking area. Took a bit of stumbling around to get there but found it in the end, cache in good condition. Now got to get my head into the Simpsons. TFTC.
Golden oldie number 1 for today as I visit this Eriy place for the second time in my life. Such a shame this place has been left in such a state.
I had to make a trip to Cranbourne to visit my uncle who is recovering from a fall when Dromaniax contacted me to see I was interested in grabbing a couple of Simpson caches. We have been eying off the series for a while now so I thought I would make a detour on the way home to meet him there.
A nice short stroll down the path before a short trek off track and the cache was found quickly.
This is my first of the series but the rest are on the list to be found shortly (Hopefully)
Thank you Team Crackers for the series

I was in the area collecting ancient caches and had to stop past this one. This cache was my second unintentional find of the series. I should knock these all on the head, but I'll get to that eventually.
Finding this one took effort, and the area seems to have time travelled past its original D/T rating. I'd give it something closer to a D2/T2.5. Walking around the area was a lot of fun. The provided hint helped me find the cache immensely - even though I checked many other similar hides before making the final discovery. I got stuck looking over the most prominent horizontal tree before making a last-ditch effort. Whereupon I found what I was looking for.
I snapped a photo of the questions and made a note on the final of this series. By this rate of finding, I should be done by 2025 - look forward to that log!
Thanks for placing this here, it was an enjoyable experience, despite the overgrown and dilapidated park area.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Team Crackers for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Thank god we found it!
In the middle of nowhere on a quest.
Wandered for a bit and then using the hint and widening the search it was found about 10m out. SL at 16:40pm.
TFTC. Privilege to be in Bob’s park!
Targeted this series for the DT rating and was so pleased it was based on a series we love. The whole team enjoys putting on the Simpsons at any time (Disney+ has the whole lot) and so much of our sayings come from it! Happy to have found all 5 in good condition on 28/12/22.
Quote for this one: “What about that tattoo on your chest? Doesn’t it say, Die, Bart, Die?
No, that’s German for The, Bart, The.”

The GPS was bouncing around a bit but found the obvious beacon at GZ based on the hint. Searched all up and down and with others saying it was a good size cache I thought this would have been easier but no luck for me today
Dad and I decided to come for a quick walk in the park here today for a cache of the day. I'd never been to this side of the lake before and it's a pretty spot. Kind of spooky too with all the abandoned park features that are covered in graffiti!
After making a fairly quick find we headed down to the lake's edge and watched the ducks have a lovely swim. It was such gorgeous weather and this is a spot I'll be coming back to for sure!
Thanks for the cache! Thankfully I remembered to collect the info for the mystery!

The sky birdies had me going around in circles, and off course by 10m.
In the end it was a quick and easy find ️

I did not intend to come here, however after being diverted by a fallen tree after a lunch at a nearby winery, I spotted that there was a Simpsons cache to be found.
A nice area and a good sized cache container.
I will work out the clues at home.
2 found now. 3 to go before the bonus

Attempting some cache maintenance nearby and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to grab a Simpsons cache. I’ve had this series on my radar for some time but this is the first one I have been able to get to. A thorough look revealed the surprisingly large sized cache. My GPS said I was only about 5m off so given the tree cover these were pretty good coords.
Looking forward to collecting the rest of the series.
Thanks Team Crackers for the cache and for contributing to the game.

It has been quite a while since I have been out and exploring the slightly wider but still local area! I saw this cache was on the route home, so I parked up and went to have a look. Took me ages to find - this new phone really lacks the accuracy of the last (and serves me right for not bringing my GPS with me). TFTC Team Crackers
Covid-19 restrictions are now lifted and Geocaching is allowed so it is back on line.
With the Covid 19 restrictions in force we do not want to encourage people to bend the rules so we are disabling our caches until we get the all clear again.
Keep Safe.

Out With some great cache friends (Monica_is_evil anf mrx02) what a great afternoon. TFTC
This was sure ya workout ! If you can download for offline use because reception can be spotty. TFTC
Damn I am behind on my logs, good old covid-19 was a great distraction from actually logging my caches. But nevertheless here I am now doing all the catch up.
Out for a nice drive out in the Pakenham/ Cockatoo area with Brainiac03 today to smash out some caches in this area. No real issues at all as we drove around collecting several caches throughout the day.
Thanks for the cache and the day out.

On a caching run with buhfuhguh today in the Pakenham/Cockatoo area to pick up a few caches we hadn't yet found.
Another old cache in this sadly neglected park.
Wandered over to gz, stepping through the long grass in the process (no snakes today though).
I tried looking at the wrong tree before buhfuhguh tried elsewhere and found the cache hidden in its place.
Great size cache that's filled with swaps.
Signed the log and returned as found.
Thanks to Team Crackers for placing and upkeeping this cache.

With 2 hours free on Christmas Eve morning, I selected this cache to continue collecting the clues of The Simpson's final.
Had to park on the main road, as the gate to this park's car park was locked and doesn't look like it has been used in a long time. Everything about this park seems to show that it was once a main park, but is now completely disused and falling apart.
Strolled down the side of a hill thru long grass towards this one. My GPS was everywhere but found this nice large container after searching a dozen different areas. Then found the completely overgrown path back towards the car park
Thanks for the cache Team Crackers

I think was once a lovely picnic area now accessible only by walking. PV seems to have abandoned this area

Was in the area in hunt of the other cache not realising another Simpson’s cache was here too! Perfect afternoon for a cache although very surprised at how run down this place is. Cache easily found although. Thanks for the cache

Wow, this area is so unused now! Big trees down on the track, presumably to discourage people? But still accessible, and still in good condition . TFTC
Out caching with FitzelFleas and geochild. Such a shame this area has been abandoned. TFTC
On way from Emerald for a drive. Easy to find. Thanks Team Crackers for placing this cache
Found this just before dawn this morning. A bit eerie here. Searched a likely spot for a while to no avail. Widened the search radius and bingo. In good condition.
Finding a fallen tree in Aura Vale is like finding a needle in a haystack. Much bigger needle, and not a very dense haystack. Easy find and a quick stop
Lovely walk in the area after some much needed rain. Found this one after a bit of a walk around.
Find 2030
Wow that proved a bit of a search. GPS had me in an area that looked promising but once I widen my search area i spotted a likely. Yes it was it and very big to boot. Log was signed and all back safe again.
Need now to explore the ruins. What a shame as this area would have been very popular with visitors at one time.
Thanks

The morning was a little damper than expected but didn't dampen the enthusiasm to find a few caches.
The main aim of the day was to work through the Simpson's series and do as many as possible and a few in between.
This looked like a location time has forgotten but not the local vandals. I'd been here in better times but it's changed a little since then.
Log signed and replaced as found.

Caching buddies: Ausfox;
First cache for the day ! Ausfox randomly texted me saying he wanted to go caching and since I had no other plans, I couldn't say no!
Day started at 9am where dark clouds hung above .. as we drove far east from the south west end of Princes Freeway, it started to drizzle.. on arriving at the parking location there was a bit of pitter patter of water droplets but nothing that could stop us from our adventure!
On the way to gz we spotted an old bbq which had seen better days .. its guys were completely removed!
This cache sparked our conversation about the DT rating back in the day. Today the T rating would have been 2.5
Cache found and photos taken on our phones!

I must agree with the other previous finders this is a very eerie place. Normally I would be caching after dark and I am slightly glad it is not yet there. Found the cache nice and easy once I worked out how to access the area.
Thanks Team Crackers for the cache.

Wending my way from the Mornington Peninsula with the aim of sometime getting to Warburton and finding a few caches along the way. Today my phone has been very unsettled, I think the satellites haven’t recovered from the silly season so eventually found this 8m away TFTC Team Crackers
Such an eerie place that must of been lovely in its day, and such a shame it hasn’t been kept up for families to enjoy.
This one took us awhile as our GPS was bouncing around quite a bit. Even with the clue, we still had trouble locating the right spot. Finally found, clues noted, now time to go home and work out the final.
Cheers Team Crackers

out finding this series of caches with the_garbageman , This one was really interesting a long drive through beautiful country side and a walk through the overgrown park. the T rating may be a little different now a days and the cache lid clips no longer work, the_garbageman managed to get one side back on. We didn't realise how old this cache was until we saw the log book it is great to see how well it has done for it's age. Thanks for the cache Team Crackers tnln sl
A great adventure day with Mighty Minions after a fun morning at the Mega doing all the lab caches.
We completed all the Simpsons caches in 4.5 hours which wasn’t too bad in the traffic I think.
This one was another quick find. Glad my knowledge acquired through countless hours of viewing is not being wasted. TNLN TFTC

A bit more difficult than I thought it would be due to the terrain in the ‘park’ - and the overcast skies throwing my coordinates out of whack.
Big and bountiful box finally located but the brittle blue side clips are now completely broken.
This was my last clue-cache so it’s just a matter of finding the Final cache and a most enjoyable (and on occasions, demanding) puzzle will have been solved.
I COULD have skipped this out-of-town cache if I wished because with lots of research and homework I had successfully plotted the location of the Final cache anyway.
But hey, that would be cheating, and I would have missed out on today’s epic semi-country trip.
Thanks so far, Team Crackers.
Top work

Hired a car today after extending my stay with the ultimate plan to head to LGA’s that I didn’t have cache finds for within a reasonable length drive between caches and the CBD to return to the nights accomodation. A good 6 hours of caching between showers, sunshine, hail and lightning Melbourne sure did live up to expectations today on the weather front!
As for the cache containers a good cross section of sizes today as well as hiding styles and difficulties. TFTH

Wow this area is so overgrown and creepy! Nice hide and fun series, I will have to try and find the others in the series now! TFTC.
Out for a picnic with my girls. A nice easy find. Only one casualty - nothing that a bandaid won't fix! TFTC
We discovered the first of this series a week ago, so are heading around the suburbs to grab the rest. Great location although the bbqs could do with a clean. Tftc
A nice stop off on the way back to picking up the kiddies from nanas cache was soon located its missing a clip and the other one doesnt clip so the lid just sits on top full of a fair bit of rubbish as well. Tftc
What an eerie spot this place is now. I want to head closer to the water to see if I remember it in its glory days. Thank you for bringing me here. TFTC Team Crackers
Somewhat easy find, hint helped. A little past where the GPS says it is. Took yellow smile badge. Pen didn't work.
What a stunning and very quiet spot. Since it untouched now (overgrown) it has a certain peace and harm to it.
Shame since it's been made accessible at some point but hey things move on.
Never been here and thanks for placing this cache.

Catching up on some late forgotten logs. Found with omegaman1971 while grabbing a few caches in the area, the cache container was soon found after a little circling around as we couldn't get our gps'r to behave under the trees. Thanks Team Crackers for the hide.
Found this one easily and grabbed the little koala TB. Shame the park has become so overgrown and derelict. This spot has special sentiment for me as I got married on the banks of Aura Vale Lake in Bob's Park over 10 years ago. Licking myself because I forgot to look for the clues from the log. Will have to visit again. TFTC
This is our first ever cache, so exciting to finally find it!! Pen didn't work, must bring our own next time!

TFTC. We had collected the other caches in this series but had not managed to be in this area. We had just complete the P.I.G. series and decided to finish the day with a drive out here before heading to Fountain Gate to get a gas bottle refill. This was sort of on the way. We pulled up at the gates and walked the 200 metres in to a deserted park. Pinpointing GZ was a little difficult as the GPS was bouncing everywhere. I eventually spotted the well hidden cache. Signed log and walked back to where Ihad left Linda on the path.
Found this cache on a walk through this deserted reserve. A nice hide. Thanks Team Crackers
Wow what a find. gps's werent working too well either. Great day for it though. Its a pity they have trashed this place.

After a failed attempt to find the final without finding any of the preliminary clues I decided to go find some of the Simpson caches to increase my odds of working out GZ correctly. This is the second of two I visited today in my effort to grab this rare D/T combo. This area seems to have been abandoned for some time and we spent way too long searching in the dark while it was raining.
Thanks

It's all been said in previous logs but...............what's the deal with this place?
What a shame. Our first visit to the park and what a shock awaited us!
The fallen trees, the abandoned toilets and bbq's, the overgrown picnic area and carparks!!
We targeted this location to collect the final trad in the series. It was with tentative steps we took to reach GZ. The GPSr was all over the place today but no way were we leaving without making a find!
Maybe 15 minutes passed but finally the cache was in hand however we retreated to the asphalt pavement to carry out the calculations for the final location
Many thanx to Team Crackers. Cache was found in way better condition than the park!

Managed to get away for a little mini-adventure today to search for the two caches at Bob's Park, a location I have childhood/teenage memories of and had been wanting to re-visit ever since starting caching.
When I first arrived I couldn't believe my seeming bad luck, given I was hoping for a bit of solitude today: a car was parked in front of the locked gate... Given the abandoned location I first assumed it was most likely another cacher (who else would be here?), but as I circled the roundabout pondering what to do, I immediately spotted a muggle a short distance down the road beyond, heading back toward the car accompanied by a dog.
Headed back to another part of the lake to take a few photos, then cautiously returned to the gate to be rewarded by the sight of the coast being muggle-free and clear.
Parked and walked in, enjoying the quiet whilst marvelling at all the fallen trees blocking the road and elsewhere. Got so distracted by the delightfully eerie vibe of the place though that by the time I remembered to check the GPSr for the location, saw that I'd already walked about 180m past where I should have headed off the path for GZ.
At GZ I consulted the hint and realised that the co-ords were reading a bit off, and so turning in a circle spotted the most likely contender for a closer look about 10m away. As I got closer I spotted what was likely enviro-camo, and a few moments later was holding the very generously-sized container.
Signed the log, took nothing, left a fairy that would appreciate the enchanting location, and headed onward to look for Robert's Rest...
... and then about half an hour or so later later, having found that cache and done a bit more exploring, made my way back here once again to photograph the questions, which I'd completely failed to do earlier , but thankfully remembered before leaving. Doh!
Thanks for the cache and the adventure, Team Crackers!

Out with The Green Minion, grabbing a few caches before we go see Nana.
After coming from the Aura Vale Lake Park picnic area, Bob's Park was unexpectedly surreal. Locked and deserted with numerous fallen trees blocking access in. The whole area has been neglected for some time, yet it lies in such a lovely setting...
So strange. So unfortunate.
The terrain was a big challenge for The Green Minion, but once he set his eyes on the lovely, big cache and the trove within, it was all worthwhile.
Took the happy looking TB with us.
Thanks Team Crackers, for a cache in a very interesting and different locale. This my 2nd of the series, and just like last time, I think I'll be calling on our resident Simpsons guru, 1Dgirl, to assist with this. Looking forward to working through them all...

Went out with rod (n0w0rries) and alan (squirtle) to do maintenance on a couple of caches and find a few on the way home.
Was a great day to get out and find a few caches.

It is almost three years to the day since I found the first cache in this series.
After visiting here today there is only one more (and the final) to go.
The puzzle now will be trying to track down the last three photos taken.
A nice walk in a surreal area that would now be great for playing paintball.
Left a traveler to continue it's journey as we have no plans to visit Canada any time soon.
Thanks for a great series Team Crackers.

My penultimate trad in this series and certainly the most difficult to locate. Parks Victoria have clearly decided to let Bob's Park return to its natural state so no driving close to the cache. More importantly however is the slow return of a pristine ground cover - no people, no trampling of grass or keeping the surrounds low so that visibility is enhanced. Don't get me wrong, it's still non-bush and an easy walk to near GZ, I'm just anticipating that snakes will probably now be an issue in the summer months and eventually visibility may be a little lower.
Be warned though, the GPS did wander a bit and there are a fair few horizontal eucalypts at GZ...
The member of this series in Sandringham or thereabouts must have been amongst the first few dozen caches I found. I've been meaning to finish the series ever since. I was nearby today, so checked this one out. Awesome ghosttown-y area here. I wonder how such decisions are made. It's amazing anyway. A relatively short search had a happy ending. Thanks Team Crackers!

I was out today to visit the Na'wal parents today with the geo kiddies for an early father's day visit. The plan was to make our way to Aura Vale Lake as it is an area that I spent a lot of time at when I lived up this way as a child. The weather didn't look promising but thankfully the rain stayed away for us to enjoy a great morning. After we had a great lunch nearby, we moved off to find this cache. It was a shame to see this area closed off as we had been here many years ago to see it when it was being enjoyed. The cache was a little elusive for us today and the GPSr jumpy. Finally found about 10 meters away from where we were wanted. Clues noted. Signed and returned as found.
**Thanks for this trad cache, Team Crackers** [^]
**Cache container and log in good condition**
**Took Nothing, Left trackables**

This park was deserted and is pretty neglected, which is a shame. Cache took a while to find but the clue helped. Getting closer, thanks!
After a nearby stroll for a few caches, we realised this was nearby and part of a series we started years and years ago.
What a shame that this lovely spot is so unloved and access is restricted. But a lovely walk in and and a bush stroll led us to this well concealed, large sized cache.
EB99 made the find and I did the signing duties.
Thanks Team Crackers for yet another cache. One day I will have all the answers and find the final cache. I hope it is not in years and years.

I went out today to pick up a few caches around the area, walking into Bob's Park was like being on the walking dead, such a weird place and ashamed an asset has been let go. Made a quick find, checked out the ruins and picked up the other cache in Bob's Park. Great to see a good sized cache. Thanks bwbandit
Conned muggle hubby into joining geodaughter and I in a quick "walk" to help fill in some spots in my 366-day calendar. Hubby walked the path loop a few times while we struggled to narrow down GZ. The phone kept changing its mind and I'd left the GPS at home In the end, we'd tried all the likely spots and checked the hint, still no help as that didn't narrow it down much. I knew the cache was pretty old and so we looked further afield to try to spot something that matched the hint that would definitely have been here that long, bingo! We'd missed it because of the way we'd approached GZ and all the recent falls had blocked our view of that area.
The cache is nice and dry but full of useless rubbish, who swaps a hanging mouse holder for something in a cache????
Thanks for the nice little walk, what a shame the park has fallen into such disrepair
