No response from owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note.. CO desperately wants to have this cache archived. See his note dated 8 October 2012.
Had trouble with this one. No idea where it was. Seems like a lot of others have had trouble so needs attention or removing.
I have told geocaching .That this cache needs removing from the posts as I will not be renewing cache as the site is now used by undesireables who keep trashing it.I do not know the password for banksia-man so will some one who knows how remove this cache from the site.

Left the GPSr in the car because I thought I knew where to look after finding only the lid last time with Wombat-II.
Will be back.
Will be back.
Came by here this morning...and noticed a muggle crossing the bridge, so decided to let him pass before searching. As he approached, he said to me 'You're standing on it'. It turned out to be banksia man himself. After having a search around, the owner couldn't find the cache. so it saved me the trouble of looking when there was nothing there. The CO also made mentioned that he wasn't going to replace the cache...so keep an eye on this one.

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out!
Three pairs of eyes spent a long time looking for this one. The co-ordinates actually seem to be out in the water!
NOTE TO CO: We wonder if it mightn't be a good idea to double check your co-ordinates as where the satellites had the GZ today is not a 1/1.
Thanks for the hunt anyway banksia man .

I replaced cache put some new treasure in it, various solid gold objects amazes me so many people accidently find this (see post 11/21/08) .Sorry for those who did not find it .Wombat2 if you like you can put log book back in the cache if convenient.Sometimes those who accidently find it write there comments.
"Why big brother "
From mans first inhabiting this aera it has protected the land its waterways on this side from severe weather. It is not the tallest just a good friend.Aborigines lived here during the winter (plenty of food and shelter) and moved up to the mountains for summer(no sand flys or mosquitoes).Sailors know they are safe if moored at laurieton
enjoy

Yep, we sighted what was left of the cache with Wombat-2. It's been trashed and needs to be seen to
With the light quickly fading the Wombats stopped to try this one. Unfortunately the GPS gods were not being too friendly.
I have to log this as a DNF this time but I will be back.

We found the box lid and pieces of the log book but no bottle. Not sure if this counts as a find?
Hmmm GPS says in the water but the terrain is 1. Well I'll have to look the old fashioned way...wait, no I won't...there it is x]

Wandered off into the scrub initially, then came back to GZ. An easy find as the cache was in the open.
Replaced into a more covered spot, same location.

We'd just about given up - and then we found it! tftc & explaining "why big brother"
It was getting dark and the mozzies were coming out in force, but eventually we had the cache in hand.
Found this after a few mins of looking everywhere but the obvious, almost gave up but had one last look and there it was. nice work
I have driven over this bridge countless times but have never noticed this spot! Today we rode the bikes and it was easy to see where we had to go.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.

Often thought that myself, why big brother. Spent a few minutes looking at the old place according to the old clue and then read the listing more carefully and came up trumps soon after. Tanks banksiaman.
4893. [font=Century Gothic][green]You call something this and don't answer it? I guess it's coz of the little one down the road a mite. Took us a while and eventually did what we rarely do on a cache number run - read the cache page. Shortly after the cache was found.

Nice easy find. wished I had a fishing rod with me to flick around for some flatties. Tanks for the cache banksia man
Tried to locate this yesterday and today but my GPS consistently places it 15 metres into the river from the bridge. Since I didn't have my scuba gear I gave up. Will try again
Found this cache on the way to a beer appreciation night at Byabarra hall. Browngang and me left our wives and kids camping at Diamond head.
Found cache without to much trouble.
Signed book but took nothing.
Thanks for the Cache

This one took me a while to find - a case of blindness I think! Still, persistence paid off as it can do. Thanks Banksia Man.
We were focussed on the footpaths, both over and under the bridge. Turned several rocks over but couldn't locate the cache. Last of our 6 in Laurieton today, disappointing result, only 3/6. T4 the challenge banksia man. cloudglider
Found it after waiting for some traffic to pass by. Didn't take much looking but the 1-1 rating is a bit misleading. Even watched a few reasonable size fish swimming past.

Found by Mary & David at 1420. Wild lantana and the sound of the water slopping against the mangrove roots. An orange safety barrier had been erected as there has been work happening under the bridge. Our thanks to banksia man.
Was looking forward to a magnetic but alas I found that it was indeed a case of searching the myriad of locations offered below.
Size is more of a regular than small which eliminates lots of options once you know that. Unfortunately I didn't.

We parked nearby and started following the GPS - at first Marco had us walking along a metal platform just under the bridge which was rather scary, but we soon realised that we were on the wrong track. We returned and then headed down the bank and under the bridge. Marco climbed around looking for the cache while I stayed back watching as I wasn't comfortable under there. I then spotted the cache right next to where Marco was standing! TNLNSL TFTC

Did maintenance replaced container and log book. The workers on the bridge keep moving it around as it gets in their way so a big thanks to them. The works are nearing the end I think.I have covered it with small rocks.Enjoy your hunt
weroamin leapt out of the geomobile and had crossed the road before I had opened the door! The cache was in his hot hands as I arrived at GZ. Signed the log. TFTC.
Lept out of the goeTroopie hey! Whilst gerrynewgirl fumbled with her GPS, I could almost smell the cache, so it was an easy find. It's really hard though to rehide a cache like this without being TOO obvious. TFTC TN left token.
Do you know! 20 years ago I caught a shark off this very bridge while staying in Laurieton on holidays.
Today I caught a cache.. Thanks

Team GPS.org.nz Cache Raid: Yeap, pretty quick find. Hard to retrieve logbook from cache. T4TC, M@
I went out and checked the cache today as " latsnzi " says its uncovered and I agree there will be ongoing works there for some time.
If you read the posts from 2005/2006 I had a lot of trouble finding this site. Spoilers tides floods council moving signs
I have had other sites accidently found and accidentle finders like us enjoy putting there thoughts in the log I dont think workers are going to hurt this cache. It was covered with rocks when I put it there but they have cleared the rocks away and cut a great hole in the concrete. So I will leave it uncovered while they are working there
The notes describing geocaching and about big brother are also missing but I think they got the idea when they saw visitors as far away as europe have been there.
Yep the log books getting chatty and the neck of the bottle "I went to great expense to buy at coles" is a bit small,BUT it has not been attacked by spoilers inundated by high tide or floods and the council can move and change all the signs they like
When the work stops I will fix the book and bottle problems in the meantime come out and enjoy the cache and say hello to a worker

An easy find, totally uncovered as works in area had left it exposed. In fact one had left a pair of earpugs and a comment in the log.
Recovered but probably should be moved as works in area continuing.
Thanks again Banksia Man

Easy find at dusk, tide out. Took koala travel bug on holidays. Up from Sydney for a few days.
An easy cache but the GPSr told us we were 15 metres out when we found the cache. But the clue to look where it would be pretty obvious to find it helped us out. TNLNSL TFTC

The first of three caches we found during our Stop Revive Survive in Laurieton area on our way south to Newcastle after a glorious stay in Coffs Harbour for a week. This was a relatively straight forward find that noone should have trouble with. I wouldn't worry too much about bringing a writing implement to this cache at the moment, it seems to be full of pens! We received an aqua coloured knuckle jack and replaced a black spider. Thanks Banksia Man.
Used the co ordinates and there where trying to get me wet. Used the hint and had the cache in my hand in no time. Another beautiful day on the Mid North Coast.
