Sadly I will never forget this cache. It was one of the only sweet 16 series that was never tampered with or muggled or even damaged Still in its open area under the leaves.. Cache has been removed due to series pull out!.

02-Dec-07
Unfortunately due to many circumstances I will be disabling all my caches. My work and other committments have not given me the time to check on or maintain my caches neither has it allowed me to complete any caches.

It does not mean I have quit caching all together. I will still do a few from time to time..

Sorry if this inconvieniances anyone. If anybody would like to take over the cache please email me at [email protected]

Yours
Matt B

Found 200706101457 Smile. Out for a spot of afternoon caching with 3/4 of the Facit-family and Malby the GeoHound, the information was collected easily, but a minor mathematical error pointed us a bit further south than we anticipated [B)]. Error corrected, The cache was found after a short search Smile

Found by Facitman, Mrs Facit and e-Facit at 14:54

First cache for the afternoon in the company of Rhinogeo. Collected the information from the first waypoint and after calculating coordinates for GZ we set off. Stopped on the way to perform a small recalculation after we concluded that GZ could not possibly be where the GPSr was sending us. With new coordinates calculated (Why does our mathematical ability go to pot when go out caching? Big Grin) we headed for a more promising GZ and Rhinogeo had the cache in hand shortly after.

TB Rhinooooo called in on his way to visit his owner's Aunt nearby.

13-Jan-07
A game of girls cricket was going on as we collected the clues. We must have got them wrong as we ended up with the GPS pointing to someones back yard. Lucky instict told Shelly where it would be and as Adam sat down to re-do the math, Shelly leant over and grabbed the cache.

We were a little worried about this one because the area was so exposed. And also did not have a calculator handy. Wait a minute, isn’t there one on the GPS!!
Did the maths and found the hide. Logged at 1130hrs.

Found this one at 10:15 on the way to AWG60 with the temperature already in the mid-30s. It wasn't the sort of day to spend a long time looking, so I read the hint to speed things up Red Face.

TNLNSL, noted clue. Thanks xf king.

[i liked this cache,] it was funny when we went the wrong way around the fence. [because of these we took half and hour longer then we should of. i went with school because we do geocaching as a elective] if was fun cos it was a little hard to see

Did the maths with the aid of a calculator and then headed off for gz. Coords were spot on except I was on the wrong side of the fence! That fixed, the cache was an easy find. Forgot to record my swap but did remember to get the clue. Thanks xf king. For what its worth I played under-age footy here although I wasn't much good! Nice to remember those for whom the gates are, too.

Found @ 1:00pm

I was driving past so I decided to grab another Sweet 16 cache. GPS readings initially had me on the wrong side of the fence. I ended up climbing over it twice before finally having the cache in hand. TNLN.

06-Jul-06
After miscounting some of the items needed to calculate the final coord's and wandering all over the place, theadi and I started again and found the cache quickly.

Someone called out to us and waved from a car stopped in traffic on the nearby road. A fellow cacher? The cache's owner? We don't know but if it was you we both say "hello".

06-Jul-06
Easy find once we finally got the numbers right!
Thanks.

Found after work at 16:05. I got the maths very wrong last night and ended up way down the back of this park and ran out of daylight Sad. Calcs redone it was a relativly easy find but you have to watch out for commuter muggles.

Found this cache while WynMan practised her cricketing skills nearby. Ended up on the wrong side of the fence of course, and in bare feet on sharp stones, of course. But a lovely couple of spots to sit and cache. Took kaleidoscope and left a magnifying glass

Thanks

Second cache on our day trip from our base at Mulgrave. Ended up on the wrong side of the fence from the cache and cut my hand jumping over. Cache #5 on our Dubbo-Canberra-Melbourne-Adelaide-Dubbo holiday.

Cool

Nice one.

Grabbed the info on a night run, and had a go at the final co-ords the next morning before work. No luck, so went off and checked clue later that night. Decided it must have been rolled as there was a location that perfectly matched the description of the clue that REALLY looked like it had been rolled.

Went back for a quick check again before I jetted out of town and found it no probs...right next to the spot I was thinking of before. excellent hide.

TNLN. Thanks for the hunt.

Hi again xfking
Found this one yesterday as you know, cos I called you. I still maintain there is something amiss with your formula because we can't reconcile it after two goes. Keep ending up with too may decimals. Anyway it's found and we have the code and we took a keyring and left a kaleidescope.
Thanks very much.

The afternoons drizzle had turned into a downpour by the time I got the first clues. Raced back to the car to do the extensive calculations (hey, I have not done long multiplication since state school).
Waited, sort of patiently for the rain to ease - not a chance! Too stubborn to come back so I got wet.
Found, Logged and raced away.
Thanks, Robmc.

It's always good to spend a bit of time reflecting at places like this and remember how lucky we are here in Australia due to the people that should not be forgotten.

I miscounted on the very first clue (d'oh), so spent a bit of time mucking around before I was back on track. Always double check your clues before setting off - that's another lesson that should be "never forgotten".

Found the cache readily and,
Took: Mondo figure,
Left: Retractable lanyard.

Thanks xfking.

Had driven past this area a number of times on my way to other caches and just never got round to doing. Well this afternoon I decided I would give it a go. It was late in the afternoon when I set off and arrived at the location around 4.45pm. Did the math in quick time and took off. Only to be on the wrong side. didn't take long to rectify and I soon had the cache in my hands. Mo muggles in the vicinity. Thanks. Sweet 16 number recorded.

Cache has been replaced with dryied out contents, a new log book bag but you will have to look in the log book for the secret number for the Sweet 16 Unknown Cache now.

13-Aug-05
Cache required maintainance and a new container as old one has leaked water. Replacement of some cache contents and clean up of this cache is in progress. I should be back by 14-8-05 with a new cache container.

05-Aug-05
10.15am
Found by Roma and Max.
This one was a conumdrum, with our limited mathmatical abilities we had to give up on the calculations half way through and resort to the clue, previous logs and some logic. Even when we checked the final co-ords at GZ we were unable to reconcile them with our calculations! Container was water logged and paper based items beyond recovery. Log book in zip bag is ok and we left other items as dry as we could make them.
Thanks xf king we enjoyed this challenge.
Romax.

Phew! You sure do require some heavy mental arithmetic XF King. But I worked this one out eventually and found the cache in the first place I looked. TNLN. Thanks

Confusion with the maths had me on the phone with Caught@Work, might have been the ride that deprived my brain of oxygen who knows. Maybe a few more brackets would help everyone. Some cachers follow BODMAS others don't so we just end up confused and fustrated.
Arriving at the GZ the new mulch had me concerned... but no fear the cache was safely in place.
So far all Sweet 16 caches have been found by me using pushie power..

Found at 14:30 with Shimachic.

As always, we chose the wrong path to find this cache and ended up on the wrong side of the fence. All in all an easy find, right at GZ. Thanks xf king - you sure love your maths!

Left : Butterfly Eraser

Eighteenth of 20 finds for the day at 1910. It was 1845 when I arrived at WP1, so I parked in Springvale Rd, adjacent to the memorial and those unusual gates. The Clearway ended at 1830, so I was legally parked, but it didn't best please the motorists. Not only that, but the volume of traffic makes this a very unwise place to park. Unless the traffic is very light, I suggest parking at S 37° 53.430, E 145° 09.820 (opposite Roberts St). This is where I parked to do the maths after gathering the information. That was when I discovered that I had failed to gather the information for 'E'. [B)] I decided to take the lazy way out and drive to GZ. This proved to be a wise decision, going by some of the comments in the logs, as there wasn't any barrier between me and the cache. Big Grin I was starting to tire after 13 multi caches so far today, and I wasn't up to climbing fences or walking further than necessary. I also grabbed the Gavin the Stegosaurus TB. Thanks for the cache.

IN: Two dice
OUT: Tortoise

Met Chefs on the Run in the car park prior to tackling this cache - they assured us this was an easy find (Mrs Chef was especially proud that she was the spotter this time!) Glad we had a calculator in the geocaching pack! Like others before us, ended up on the wrong side of the fence! No fence climbing for this crew! Arriving at GZ, we sat to reread the notes - and nearly stood on the cache!
TN, Left TB Gavin the Stegosaurus and a green frog

Thanks xf king!

Mrs Chef made her first find onthis one today, after racing the kids to the GZ. It was nice to meet Team Alsume in the carpark on the way out. Just as well I had done my maths the day before with Mr Coffee.

TN left recipes.

Thanks XF King.

Found at 16:05.
A couple of muggles but not too many problems. Drove by originally and had decrypted the first three clues before getting back and reading the gate (most Aussies would).
The last of four of this series I completed today.
Took the fly and left the rubber ball.

19-Mar-05
Mr.Coffee and the Clan had this cache on the GPS but no paperwork or notes.
A call to Chefs on the Run and 10 minutes of mathmatics had me on the way to the cache.
Cache was found soon after.
A big thank you to Chefs on the Run for some remote assistance and caclulator work.
Thanks XFKing for one step closer.
TNLN.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the Doh! no paperwork Clan.

I loved the grassed area at this cache. And I especially liked the gate in front of the structure with the clues.Big Grin I am usually good at choosing the right side of any barrier or water, but not today. I was in two minds, and chose the second one.Sad Thought about climbing the structure, it was easy with the foot holds etc. Thought better of it and took the safer option. The athletes training near by did not need a distraction or a spectacle. Thanks again xf king.

IN: Water bombs
OUT: Mondo figure

Was great to be in the area again, spent sometime in this area. My wife used to live here and this is the area we met.
i have been called the ghost who walks so i went through the gate. I am sure i made a mistake somewhere, as i ended up at the bus stop.so checked the clue and a quick look around revealed the hiding spot.
Thanks

Of course I also ended up on the wrong side of the fence, but climbing over it remedied the situation. I could not be bothered walking all the way round again. Red Face
This was a quick find once at the GZ.

NOTE TO SELF: The number of letters in a phrase is NOT the same as the number of words! I made this mistake yesterday and ended up 660 meters away at the back of a schoolyard with no trespassing signs on the fence.
Took: Clip
Put: Mondo Africa 1850

Third time lucky. Muzza and I had worked out the clues on Saturday (26 Feb) but a couple sitting behind the cache prevented us from retrieving it. Later in the day I returned to find the couple still there. Today I was going past and thankfully they had moved on, so I could make the find. I see Saturday was busy with 5 or 6 finds.

Swapped a skunk figurine out for a large fly figurine. Thanks for the cache.

26-Feb-05
Had a bit of confusion at the start of this one but soon sorted it out. Unfortunately Murphy’s Law came into play and once again we found ourselves only metres away from the cache but with a barrier between us, but nothing another little walk couldn’t fix and the cache was quickly ours
Took seal
Left skunk
Thanks XF King we’re looking forward to more

Found by Mary & David at 1130. We were just getting out of the car when pprass arrived. Had a great chat as we walked to the posted coordinates and gathered the numbers. While we grappled with the maths, pprass headed off to grab the FTF. Plugged in the answers and set off for the cache, to find that pprass had completed his log and rehidden the cache. A quick search, while he observed, and the cache was duly located right where our GPSr was pointing. TNLN. That's two caches so far today and we've bumped into other teams at both. Our thanks to xf king.

26-Feb-05
Alan-san and I started this one this morning. but once we arrived at GZ, there was a young couple on the nearby grass in full view of where we assumed the cache was. We decided to leave it until later when we would find it individually.

I returned on the way home and found the cache exactly where it was expected to be. No swap was made. Thanks for the cache.

26-Feb-05
Found at 7:25pm. Last of eight on a lazy afternoon's caching. After a call from Pprass earlier today about a possible problem on this one, we thought we would have no chance of finding as we still had the original print out but we may at least be able to find if there was a problem and what it was.

As it turned out all the math worked out nicely and we walked to GZ spot on. By the time we got there, the cache had taken a real hammering today and already had received 6 other entries Surprised. It appears all must be well with both calcs and locale Wink.

Thanks Xfking from D,H,K,H & A B-A. We used to live just around the corner from here. Took nothing, left nothing.

Other cachers have found this before me today (pprass and maccamob), but they're probably still out doing caching whereas Gabrielle and I had to get home for a late lunch.
Found the first part of the solution easily as well as part of the second solution.
From there I was very confused.
Somehow I ended up with a negative number (and even now I can't see how to get a positive number).
So assuming that negative numbers were OK, input the forumla and headed off. Doh! A very reasonable spot to be hiding a cache, but not the right one.
Thinking that negative numbers weren't important I used it as a positive and revealed a different location, some hundreds of meters away.
Taking a stroll past the cricket game on, Gabrielle and I came upon the cache.
I'll have to ask xf king how the maths works on the last clue because I didn't know what 'it' was.
Took marbles, left seal.
Thanks xf king. The play equipment nearby satisfied Gabrielle that yes, these caches are worthy, so we got home in time for a very late lunch.

Found at 11.25am and picked up FTF just minutes ahead of maccamob, while they were doing the arithmetic as I already had the final location. I was there earlier in the morning to get the cache before starting on another long day of gardening, when I came across a problem with the clues. A call to xf king, but he wasn't home. So off I went to do a few other caches while I waited for him to call back. When xf king called he sorted out my error in no time, but I was now 12km away from GZ. So I dropped what I was doing (going for "(Sweet 16) When is that show in town?") and quickly went back to GZ only to find maccamob in the car park getting ready for the assault. I accompanied them to the structure while they gathered the clues, but then moved on to the cache while they worked out the final co-ords. This one didn't take long to find as the co-ords were spot. Thanks xf king. I go past here twice a day each work day and have never stopped. tn/ln
