Well, this is another RDMC that has walked off with the muggles.
We won't be replacing it this time.
We won't be replacing it this time.
I have been back twice looking for this one, but I am pretty sure it is no longer there. Nice area though, and surprisingly high muggle activity.
Going to place a needs maintenance on this one as per the previous logs and my failed attempt at the find.Spent about 15 here without luck, think its gorn!
Did not find and I was with Rigger64 who had found it a while back.
Seems this is MIA.
Seems this is MIA.
1500h 10/05/09 - I searched for a good 30min but could not locate cache. I did find RDMC # 7 quite easily
Spent a good 20 mins searching for the cache and still couldn't locate it. After reading the last few logs about the loose magnet I hope it is still there and I just wasn't looking hard enough.
Found it after looking around for a bit, trying to be unobtrusive. It seems to be lodged in its spot ok, so it should stay there safely enough for now. A replacement magnet might be handy though.
Found by Bob at 1650
I must confess, I stopped off here once before on my way to the Latrobe Valley earlier this year and had a quick look for this one but, when I didn't find it straight-away, I checked the logs and found my most recent log was in 2006 (I obviously need to refresh my GPX files a bit more frequently!). I knew some of the RDMCs had been archived, so I didn't look any further and it wasn't until later that I could check up and see that it was still active. Today, I was keen to have a proper look for it and was lucky enough to turn it up pretty quickly in a spot a little further away from where I'd been focusing last time.
Thanks Team Diesel
PS The magnet has come loose from the container and it took a bit of fiddling to get the container to stay in place. I wish I'd had something sticky to help magnet and container stay in contact, but it wasn't until later that I thought of jamming a bit of wood/bark in beside the magnet to make it a bit tighter in its little recess. I hope the container stays in its spot - but I fear it could fall out.

This one has been giving us trouble for a fue weeks now. Every time we come here so does everyone else. Had a fue good hunts for it but today while looking for it a mate rang and he put me on the spot. It had been pushed a long way and we could not get it out. Not even with kids hands. We found something to stand on and hooked it out with a stick.
I am very happy to get this one out of my GPS.
Thanks Cory.

This was our 3rd attempt to find this one but up to today there were too many people around. We searched for about 30 min, but no good

Tried this one again today on the way to 4WDriving. Spent some serious time here this time, but yet again was unable to locate. Stood on everything we could to look in all the nooks and crannies, even looked up on top of the structure ( without getting too adventurous ).
Either a really good hide, gone missing or our caching skills have dropped off. Found many of the other RDMC's relatively easily.
Thanks for the search

Found after a more extensive search than at RDMC# 7. We always stop here for a break when passing so a handy find. TFTC

Found on way down. As usual, these caches can be a bit frustrating, but it was found. TFTC

This one took me much longer to find, but I am glad I persisted, because it was followed by a string of DNFs .

Found this one with Gingerninja and Spongeboy on our way to Bermagui. Nice little hide as there is a lot of places to hide this but we managed to find it.

In a nice little area, that was suprisingly full of muggles taking a break, we located the cache away from any bystanders. Found relatively quickly.

I guess this is the risk of holiday caching. I dropped in spent half and hour searching and couldn't find it, now I know why. I did help out an elderly gentleman that had a flat battery by push starting his car.
Thanks anyway Team_Diesel.

That'll teach me to check the previous logs before attempting a cache (this was an "attempt of opportunity" - I guess I need the logs in my paperless DB).
12:00 am - no muggles so had a close examination of the whole area. No cache in evidence (although I did find an Orb Weaver in the middle of a huge web, and a Sitella sleeping in a corner).

After many DNFs it would be fair to say that the cache has gone.
We will be back down this way in a fortnight and will replace the cache then.

Not found @ 12:20 after 40 minutes searching.
Came back again for second attempt on our way home but gave up after looking for another 30 minutes. Used the Phone a Friend option and confirmed my suspicions about the way the cache was hidden but I still could not locate it . Cleaned out a lot of spider webs in the search and felt like getting a hammer to remove some nails to make the search easier but I guess a find was not to be.
Maybe I'll have another try in the future sometime but I doubt it.

Second time that I have tried to find this one and this time I came fully prepared with even past finders help.
1 hour later and I lost interest!

Same as Rhinogeo. Found magnet but no booty! Looked, climbed, felt in all possible spots for about 40 mins. No muggles so was not in stealth mode a all!
Had a second look after finding 2 other RDMC's nearby, still no luck.

DNF 20071123 . Facitman and I were able to undertake an uninterrupted search and we came up with a magnet that definitely looked like it had been part of a cache, but no cache
Great to hear the cache is still there.
This little RDMC is one of the hardest RDMC to find and, I guess, the most often reported as missing.

Cache is still there, just well hidden. We spent quite a while searching and finally came up with the goods. Thanks for the cache
Found at 14:45. Cache is still here. Needed help from Dad with this one as he has longer arms than me. Signed log Thanks.
well I will just have to try harder. have visited here about three times before and still can't find it! I
was there on the 26th in the arvo and it has been reported as being still there!!! I'll try again.

Had a NICE day today (Narre Interactive Caching Expedition). Took Crisp Image with me to get this one because I have duck's disease. Another RDMC bites the dust. TFTC Team_Diesel
I found this one early today accompanied by Oenze on our Latrobe Valley excursion. We had a gay old time here and nearly abandoned the search when Eric found the goods. Thanks.
Find # 1517 and 3rd for the day at 8:17am. Accompanied by Feathertop on our far east expedition. Lucky for us there were no muggles about because it took a while to find this one, TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Team_Diesel....
No sucess with this one. Several "strange" muggles hanging around! Is 4pm on sunday a special meeting time? Lovely resting spot. will try again mid week.
GPS wandering all over the place. Eventually found the cache...gloves are a good idea! We arrived to find the place deserted, but a couple of cars turned up for no apparent reason and later we are told that it's "one of those places" (wink wink)
Nice big place for hiding a micro, and the gps didn't help a lot with the trees! We might have taken ages but had a specific lead from a previous finder - its a nice little hide which would be hard for mugglets to get.
Bah - on a crappy rainy day, no find for me here!
Lovely spot though - this is my 2nd attempt, first was about two years ago.

This is an elusive cache for Ambo412 and family. Been to GZ 4 times with no find yet. Is it still here? Total search time now totals over 2 hours. Might need checking. Thanks anyway.
Found at 10am while passing by and this was my last outstanding cache for this series. I had attempted this once before but GZ was muggle city but this morning I had the area to myself and it was located after a short search.

Stopped off for a couple of quick caches on the way through. Took a few minutes to find this one though. TFTC
Just happened to turn on the GPS and there it was just meters away as I was about to pass by. Needless to say I didn't pass by and it's now logged.
Thanks.
Thanks.
6th of 9 for the day.
Have to agree with 38 degrees about the quality of characters just 'loitering'. Sadly, when the boy says he needs to use the toilet, there's not much option to convince him otherwise. Shall I just leave it at, we weren't in there long!
Once we had worked out which corner to be looking at, it didn't take too long to find or acquire.
Thanks Team_Diesel

Found at 5pm on the way home from working nearby. Well, what can I say about this roadside rest area ..... there were just a few too many suspect individual males hanging around the nearby male toilets. Ended up choosing very wisely NOT to use THOSE facilities while I was there hunting for the stash!! Accompanied by my workmate Powza. The cache was found while muggle traffic was very light. Ended up being the 3rd of 5 RDMC's we found by the end of the day. This one was by far the most difficult stash to find of all the RDMC's I'd done so far. SL TFTC
Found at 7.03pm, had to stretch and almost did'nt make it. Traffic in area has been busy all day and had to wait for darkness after finding the cache in the daylight. Thanks
Found on the way to melb @1005.
Thanks for pointing out a nice spot to rest and stretch.

We called by this cache tonight and found it was still in the correct position and all is well.

I have a feeling that this is either really well hidden or it has been muggled.
I consulted a previous finder and was given reasonable instructions as to the hiding spot but still could not find it.

Found by The Swaggies on our third visit. Logged at 15:30 hrs. Not much activity around today meant thet we could survey the scene in our own time. Located cache and signed log. Good to get this one under our belt.

Dear Team Diesel,
We found your cache today as the first of four on a trip with Cold Freeze at 11:15am. This has been a bit of a nemesis cache for us. We were trying to calculate how many times we had stopped here but were unable to make a search due to muggles. We are unsure on the exact number but it is somewhere beween seven and nine. We arrived and once again found people parked nearby but finally and luckily no-one around GZ today. The cache was soon in hand. Thanks for the cache.
Kindest Regards,
D & S B-A

we found this quite good to find as we are starting out and don't have a gps yet found it at 10:35pm no muggles were around to bug us well hidden
Found by edmil & maddie. This one had us fooled for a bit. no one was around so we had an opportunity to do a thorough search eventually finding it. Thanks for the cache.
Yay... I get to record a find today! It was busy here again today. I have to remember this spot when I need a loo break on my way home from Melb.-Thanks Team Diesel.
Busy little spot. I did the nature walk while waiting for the muggles to clear, came back and a new group had arrived. Fortunately they did not hang around GZ. Grabbed the cache, TNLNSL. Made a dash.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Found at 9:35pm after some searching and then realising that there had been a change to the coordinates. This area had more caravans than some caravan parks I've seen. Fortunately they were all tucked away and not interested in what we were doing.

I looked for this one on Monday afternoon and had no luck. Was a bit time limited (on the evening boat to tassy) so may not have been thorough.
Thanks! (foiled again...)

Found at 12.15pm GAFF2. Glad to have finally found this one as the local gentlemen must have started to think that I am a regular! This time the co-ords were spot on and I found it in the second place I looked. Last time I was taken to the other end of the structure. Thanks Team_Diesel.
Thought we would have a go at this one on our way to Melbourne. When we pulled in there was a bus load of school children having lunch at GZ so we sat around and waited. Half an hour later they finally left and we could start searching. We were interrupted several times more and in the end, with time running low, had to abandon our search for another day.
Third of seven caches in company with Dak Emu.
Well the new coordinates put me at a different spot than when I was last here and the cache was soon in hand very quickly thanks Team diesel.

no one around here so had a good chance to look.Took 20 mins but finally got cache in tricky dark spot thanks Team_Diesel
This one was a bit harder than #7 but we eventually found it.
Lots of cars making a "pit-stop" but nothing suspicious going on here.
A cunning placement!!

Looked fairly hard for around 30 minutes, but could not spot it. This place has some interesting male visitors during the day. Will be back. Thanks Team_Diesel.
Ok. muggles on the way through in the morning we can understand so we passed on by, but what on earth are all these cars doing around this remote park at 7:45 on a Saturday night? Hmmm, stopping a cache hunt methinks.
First of 14 finds for the day in West Gippsland. I tried for this one the other day, but it had been stolen. Knowing it had been replaced on the weekend, I was keen to get it. I was on my way to Warragul this morning, so I dropped in. It took me 10 minutes to find it, even though I had been all over the structure previously. There were a few too many spider webs about for my liking, but I found the well-hidden cache at 0850. Thanks to Team_Diesel for the cache, and thanks for replacing it so quickly. This is the last in the series for me; I was to finish the Team Crackers wooden work series later in the day too--it was a good day.
As noted by Dak this cache has gone again.
We have again replaced the cache again (glad these containers are cheap .
The actual location has moved slightly from the previous locations so those who have found it before will need to look elsewhere - But if you have found it before why are you looking again?
This place seems to be a magnet for strange people and we might move the cache away soon if it continues to be muggled.
Good luck to all.

Unfortunately, it looks like this one might be MIA again. I reckoned I knew where the cache would be hidden, but I checked all such places, to no avail. I also checked less likely places, but after 30 minutes, I rang the xf king help line, as he was the last finder. He confirmed that my first guess was correct, but there was no cache there. I gave it away at 1400. I'll be driving past again on Monday; I'll have another try then, if it has been replaced/checked. Thanks for the hunt.
Postscript: I wrote to Team_Diesel and received a reply that indicates that I might have been misled about the location of the cache. [B)] TD will check it out on the weekend. Thanks for that.

At last and I think this is my 6th attempt at this cache. The co ords were out by about 20 metres, but this time I didn't even bother to bring the GPS with me. I started searching and found the cache this time within 2 minutes, and in a place I had looked and felt in about 5 times previously. So for now the current RDMC caches have now been all done.. Wating for some more.. THanks for the cache from M.B and D.C.

Do I feel strange walking slowly aound this site, you bet, whey are there men "walking" around the area and why is it under Video watch, oh! I see That's what goes on here. Found it in the end, cache that is. 2nd on the way home .
Tried to find this one again, oh boy this cache is all bad luck for me, We drove into the empty carpark at about 9.00PM. We were happy to see no cars, but hang on, who in the hell was standing next to the toilet block. As we drive closer he walks around the back of the dunny and dissapears. With no cars around the area and no sign of anyone camping there we had to wonder what the hell this guy was doing here in the middle of the night. We waited and waited, he didn't show up for a good 20 minutes. S and I were both unsure on whether to go ahead with trying to find this cache as this person could be some kind of a phsychopath or drug addict, so we had to abandon this one once again. Oh well I will be back another day. THanks from M.B.
As XF King noted this cache had been muggled.
It has now been replaced.
Given the transient nature of people who visit here I hope it stays for a while.

Tried to loacte for the 4th time...
This cache has had me stumped, I have checked two structuress and even trees, and light poles and have not been able to find this cache. Climbed on many seats and tables and had muggles come and go in between, I was at GZ for about 1 hour, a Muggle said hello, and he left 10 minutes later, but I had to give up when he came back again to use the dunny nearby and he looked at me very strangly. I hope im not to short to find this one, im close to 6 foot tall...
Thanks anyways from M.B.

I don't know why I didn't log this, but like #7 we all found it together (the whole flock) about 2 months ago. This one took a little longer but was quite enjoyable. A nice little spot, for a breather.
