After picking up the Rat these two Confused Puzzlers headed to Glen Osmond to meet another Confused Puzzler, the Starfish, where the confusion was lessened by finding out the plan for the day. The three of us didn't venture far afield but quite a few caches were found. Some were drive-bys but most involved shanks pony and by the time we split up to head home the legs were feeling the need for some relaxation.Bees still in place but they weren't a problem but it's probably why my companions kept a distance away. Thanks to TeamAstro for adding to the playing field with this cache.Cache #14808 for me.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*
Look out for the bees he said as I poked and prodded and wished for the first time in my life I smoked!BangCache was soon in hand, entry and exit a bit tricky though! Bit of local knowledge always helps! Thanks TeamAstro for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside
I had a set of coords for this cache but they didnt seem in the right spot, but after talking to a previous finder they assured me of the logical spot for the cache. Today on the way home I dropped in and made the brief walk to the area, and after hunting around for a bit, found the cache. Thanks Astro!
I solved this puzzle 5 years ago not long after moving to Adelaide, I have been on the opposite side of GZ so many times, today I made my way into the reserve, quite busy here and a few people seen, I made a quick find in the slowly rotting tree, cache is all good
Today I headed out to find some caches that I was yet to find around the eastern side of Adelaide dodging the rain as I went.
Thanks for the cache

Found during a recent visit to Adelaide after a road trip to Wangaratta to attend the Mega In preparation for my trip I had spent some time solving puzzles around Adelaide.
A guiding star vectored me into the final star . Watch out for the bees at GZ What is the vector, Victor?

I solved this one on the 16 Oct and had confirmation from the CO. Nevertheless I made grave errors in my adjusted coordinates, and found myself on the wrong side of the road, in the wrong park altogether. The CO graciously took my call and alerted me to my silly error.
With the car repositioned, I mounted my second attack, a nice volley into the correct bushland this time. I approached from the certain path, and managed to find the hide entirely free of beez. The timber covering the cache was doing a great job of hiding it, but I could just see evidence of its presence. Without bees present, it was an easy extraction. The contents of the cache are in excellent condition, and it made for a quick sign and return. I walked out of there in a much better direction, and got back to my car just on darkness. Great timing indeed.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache Team Astro. Nice work.

Had a set of coords and a likely spot for a cache, so dropped into GZ on the way to work and after a quick search the cache was found and the log was signed.
No bees were sighted today.
Thanks Astro!

Heading into Adelaide with [@trodectus](http://coord.info/PR8JTE0), we stopped by as we were passing and parked near GZ. Walked to co-ords and found a nice lot of buzzing cache guardians. We were able to retieve the cache without any mishap, log signed and returned. TFTC
Solved and found with [@coybear2000](http://coord.info/PR9547H). We planned to be nearby so we took a look at the puzzle and soon had an answer. We also read a few previous logs and adjusted GZ accordingly. Today we went for the find. We parked nearby and walked to GZ and noticed all the bees. We were able to retrieve the cache without any problem. Log signed and all replaced and we continued on our way. TFTC.
Fun puzzle! As others have mentioned, needed to tweak the bearing a little to avoid being roadkill. Fortunately Dwilkox and I keep bees so we weren’t bothered by the Gz guardians. Happy Valentine’s Day and TFTC
During the slowdown/lockdown period earlier in the year I went on a solving spree around Adelaide ordered by D1’s and working my way up. There are still plenty of lower difficulty puzzles I haven’t cracked yet, but I did manage to solve this one without problems.
Today’s plan was to pick up a couple of puzzles so made my way here to this interesting little park. Not convinced my calculations were correct I was a little hesitant approaching GZ until I saw the bees . Oh man they were out in force.
I didn’t want to leave without a smiley so I put my hoodie on the protect my head, neck and arms then boldly went in. Quick find, sign and replace before dashing away out of harm’s way.
I’ve been stung on the temple a few years back and that was not pleasant, so it was good not to repeat that experience.
Thanks for the cache TeamAstro.

Like others, this one put me just on the wrong side of the fence. Luckily I'd read logs beforehand and knew where to go. The bees were the giveaway! Cache is in great condition.
I never knew this strange park existed, it's a shame the grass areas have been torn up by people making their own bmx jumps.
This was the only cache I found today after a decent 16km walk along the Yurrebilla trail from Belair Station to Waite, then down to this cache. Stunning weather for a bushwalk.
Thanks TeamAstro!

Heading down south to pick up a few caches on a sunny afternoon. There were some quick finds made as all caches were found in good condition, why can’t they all be like that?

Another of the regular days out but it did not start well. A truck decided to suddenly want our lane on Portrush Road and the collision occurred.
Fortunately there was minor damage to the Geo Mobile so the day could continue.
Shaken but not destirred, the Adder and Rat carried on to meet a Starfish and a Fish lover at our agreed rendezvous parking area.
With nerves calmed the small troupe of mixed animals piled in to the Silver chariot and headed to gain more smiles on the map.
A generic' ish log with many of the found puzzles solved by much cleverer animals that the Adder.
With only the Adder needing to find this one he was warned about the hazard at GZ. Fortunately the nasty stinging rascals were not in a great number so the prize could be extracted without much of a problem. TFTC

Found with Kayakviking during his trip back to Adelaide for a wedding and some caching. TFTC.
A long weekend back in Adelaide for a wedding was productively spent with ANVIC solving and picking up a number of puzzle caches.
Solved this back home and like others needed to dial back the range slightly. Just had to go for a walk and pick-up. No bees and geo-sense made the likely spot pretty obvious when at ground zero.
TFTC from the Sydney based KayakViking !

This cache had been turning into a bit of a nemesis geocache for me, even though the puzzle part of this seemed rather simple. It felt like a typical projectile motion problem, but it was clear that many previous Geocachers seemed to have had problems with their coordinates. I had an initial DNF due to some sort of silly human error, of which I resolved once I went back home. The recent DNF was based off visiting the calculated coordinates and seeing no sign of the cache.
After consulting with the CO for some help, it felt like the needed bearing is actually 112.3°T. The CO mentioned that previously this sort of projection could be done on the older GPS units without issue. The only item I can think of is some sort of conversion between grid north and true north of +0.3° maybe? Either way, I would recommend to use this slight variation to this bearing to lead you to the required GZ.
Tonight I was determined to cross off this cache from my frowny list. I was still quite puzzled to how to access this secret garden/park and was toying between accessing the area behind gates. I managed to find a way by going up the road nearby, and then eventually zig zagged to this cache. Wow, very hidden indeed within this community. I knew I was close when I saw the bees, but didn’t seem to be many to be a threat. I slipped through to find the cache without issue and all in good shape. A somewhat challenge indeed TeamAstro, thanks for the discussion and understanding with this one, and a nice location, cheers.

Got to GZ but just couldn't find any signs of a regular sized cache. Started doubting my calculations. After some searching for something, gave up and will confirm the required GZ, thanks.
Out with an Owl and a Starfish, on mystery tour.
We were turning DNF's into smileys.
I had solved this one with the help of the Crazy Geodriver.
Today was the day to find the prize.
I had to send in the previous finders, as there were bees buzzing around the tree.TFTC

A cannon and a puzzle. First bonus is that the cache isn’t on the cannon. Second bonus... well there isn’t one really.
BEES. Did someone say BEES? I did see at least one at GZ.
Thanks for the puzzle TeamAstro and thanks for taking me to this location (geocaching has done it again). A little hidden gem.

I had attempted this one before, but my calcultions may have been slightly out which meant that I was on the wrong side of the fence. Today was a different story - wow, it was surprising to me how this land is accessed and that it is public property...actually we almost turned this into a drive by.
I was accompanied by the lovely micaparamedic who'd come to Adelaide to see me, and then late this arvo we started our drive to Victoria so that I could attend a number of events, have Christmas, spend time with friends and of course to do some caching!
In line with many previous logs....BEES.......so the chivalrous micaparamedic put his hands in it to obtain the cache, my job was to use our stamp in the log book and then threw it back to him for him to return to the same spot.
Thanks so much for the cache TeamAstro!

I could not solve the puzzle. As a beginner geocacher I didn't expect to solve the puzzle, however I will have another go and see if I can find it.
Loved finding this puzzle, I looked up all the old equations I used to know by heart for projectile motion. Used a useful tool on the web to get an accurate set of coordinates. Found it out with hippopotopode, who I forced to solve it as well. The dz was busy today but we canned unscathed. TFTC
found with sir_spectre and jacknor. Sir_spectre did the hard work on this one and took the most direct route ( not the easiest ) to the cache. Found in the dark.
found with sir_spectre and dragonshy. sir_spectre did the solving of this one and the route that sir_spectre choose i couldnt follow. I wonder what the passing motorists thought of that route
found with jacknor and dragonshy. This is easier than some of the other co's puzzles. The hard part about this one was how to get in there. I just gave up and climbed the fence and that would have looked strange to passing traffic. At gz as reported by others the cache container is easy to see but seemed to have dropped a extra half a foot down. got it out eventually. signed log and had to choose a different part of fence to climb out. Thanks for the adventure.
**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I did in 2016. I cache with an assortment of cachers and never alone. So far in 2017 I have cached with Moneydork, Ride the GeoWalrus, Locus Cacher, Liz & Bruce and Team Zouk. I focused on logging 2016 SAGA eligible caches and did not log the others I have found and signed this year. In an interest to get completely caught up, I am logging my past finds in bulk. I still have work to do after this, as I need to locate my notes from all of my earthcaches, but once those are in, I should be very close to current. I appreciate all the effort you go through to create and place your hides and do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my once pleasant logs. Cheers!
Another Tuesday evening caching with Moneydork and joined by the occasional SEMIK. After recent discussions over dinner, I creepily stalked all our profiles and discovered a D/T combination we all needed for our loops. After that, it was a case of seeing what was nearby that none of us had readily at hand.
Another that I've been sitting on for some time. There must have been some rounding errors with my projection tool, as I was a good 40m out at GZ. Only one bee was spotted during the find, retrieval, sign and return. Then again, it was late at night.
This was find number 4 of 4 for the day for me. TFTC TeamAstro!

This one has been on the solved list for a loooong time. It was one of the first puzzles I ever did. I'd driven past GZ numerous times, but hadn't worked out an easy way to get there.
Today out caching with the previous finder he offered to take me to GZ the easy way.
At GZ the bees were very active so I gingerly reached in and grabbed the cache.
Signing done, putting the cache back wasn't as simple, and I fear that the cache is now significantly lower in its hole than it was before. The next finder may need really long arms.

Heading down town for the second time in three days to watch the Adelaide 36ers play. Running a little early I thought I might as well clear a few solved by un-found caches on the way.
This one in particular has been bugging me every time I travel down to the city. Just over there. Well just over there takes quite a few detours and then a walk that I found later I could have driven down. Who would have known this area exists and yet there a picnic tables. [^] There are also plenty of bees who have taken up residence just to the right and above the cache. Not to mention the lovely green parrot that was trying to hatch the cache. I'm not sure who got the bigger fright.
But log signed and replaced I could safely leave the cache to the birds and bees.
Thanks TeamAstro.

Living i the northern half of this great city means my caching is mostly concentrated there. However when attending a Christmas carols event near the listed coordinates I opened up the map to see if there were any caches nearby, but this was the only one. Had a quick look and realised I could solve it but not at that time. So later the next week, I embarked on the solution trail. Being an engineer this was not too much of a stretch but got a surprise at the final Coords. Rechecked the maths, all OK. Read some of the previous finders logs which seemed to confirm my solution. Checked with a couple of previous finders who also confirmed my solution. So into the TBF queue till the right moment.
After a busy day today, still needed cache for the day and heading out to this side of town to meet with friends. So left a little early and made a little detour, found a place to park and had a quick wander in. Headed to the calculated GZ, or as near as I could get, and then thought if I were here, where... Oh there it is. Extracted cache and log, signed and replaced. Great to see some of these older caches surviving.

I thought I had a good angle on this one and everything had lined up just right to go looking.
Located a way in where a drive by was actually possible, at least in HiVis gear!
The flight path of the bees was luckily at variance with my own and the cache was retrieved successfully
for the first time in almost 8 months ! At least it wasn't a nano on a big gun cache
Always good to locate an oldie too.

Unfortunately this was a DNF from us
Tonight I was with the lovely Micaparamedic, but sadly we did not find the cache...maybe our coords were not correct, or maybe we were suffering from cache blindness....?
Actually earlier in the evening the heel broke off of one of my black high heel boots on the paved footpath,[:(!] .... grrr.... so it meant I could only wear socks over to where we thought GZ was....not ideal which made not finding the cache even more annoying!!!

We have had a solution for this for awhile but only now was close enough to detour over to. We were no sure of some of the access so made the terrain a little more than intended. Once near GZ a likely spot was spied and on removing a bit of camo the hide was found. We completed the signing duties and re hid TFTC.
Neither Dennis or myself are into this style of thinking, but, I am fortunate that I have a beautiful daughter who is more than capable. All I need to do is be patient. She does not mind helping us but she is a busy lady but also enjoys her down time when not working. We managed to find our way to a park that we have never been to before and had a little trouble finding the entrance, drove pass it twice before we spotted it between the houses. SL TFTC
This puzzle and cache was great work and a bit of fun.
After reading most of the logs and doing some research, there appears to be 4 ways to work out GZ: 1. Derive the equations, 2. Find the equations from text or website, 3. Find an online calculator making using the equations or 4. PAF. I won't reveal which method I used.
Like many before me, I also ended up in the middle of the road. Not sure why I have that margin of error. Google Earth plus the attached photos quickly reveals a likely location. I drove and parked the car within 20-30m of GZ and avoided scaling the wall.
The bees were subdued today. Amazing that I'm writing about them 11 years after the first sting!
Fav point from me.

I've had the solution to this for at least 2 years. I was pretty sure I'd done my sums correctly but I wasn't 100%
Driven passed the spot, behind a long wall many times, but never had the time to check. But...
Today I had the opportunity, and I was close with my calcs. I had GZ about 10m away but I spotted an obvious hiding spot so I looked there first and was rewarded with my Vector cache.
Beware. There are bees.
Thanks for the cache, TeamAstro.

I have been gunning for this cache for a while !!
A couple of years ago I had me first look around for the cache in a likely place.
And last week I had shot at hitting it !!
After two DNF's I revisited the puzzle to check the coords again.
Hmmm !! My new GZ had moved about 60 metres !! [:o]
Today I was in the area again and made sure to take the detour and find the cache
And found it within 2 metres of where the GPS pointed !!!
Hooray !! Vectorious at last [^]

A nano in a gun? No wait a minute. This is a piece of applied ballistics. We can do that. And if not there is always the engineer geoson to call on
Got some coordinates but google map revealed we would be very likely to be struck by a speeding object there.
It's always worth checking the logs. And so an alternative approach was chosen.
Approaching GZ it was a matter of putting down the GPSr and thinking like a cache.
And there it was.

Glorious spring day in a park I'd never been to before. The bees were too busy doing their bee "thing" to pay me any attention but the ANTS were going "ballistic". TFTC. Cheers
We did the sums for this one at home before visiting the cache. Our initial solution (checked with Google Earth) seemed to put GZ right in the middle of some heavy traffic, so we corrected a little to the south in what appeared to be a likely spot. A quick search of our corrected GZ and we had the cache in hand. The bees are still active, but not a big concern if you use common sense. Thanks TeamAstro for an interesting cache.
We didn't have any problem but, on sunny days when insects may be active, consider loading one HE(high energy)-SOBVAB* shell into the cannon, tilt it up 35 degrees, yank it round to 112 degrees and fire away before you go to GZ to record your smiley for this one. Maybe give it a few minutes for things to settle down.
BINGO! SOBVAB problem solved once and for all! Hehe!

Thanks again TeamAstro for a great cache.

When we saw this puzzle, the basics of projectile motion came back vey quickly and it didn't take long to get some plausible coordinates. We then went to look for the cache on two separate visits to Adeliade but without success. We could not find anywhere that a cache of the given size could be hidden. Ultimately we contacted the CO who gave us some additional very useful information. One assumption we made was invalid. Today we made an approach from a different direction and found that GZ was in a public reserve on the opposite side of wall to which we had been lokking. From there it was a quick find with the cache and contents in good condition. Thankfully there were no signs of bees today. Thanks for the puzzle TeamAstro, for the additional help and the cache.
Found Saturday with Adellysha. Did the calculation but the projection back to the Earth was proving tricky (algorithmically) so I gave up and plotted it using the ruler tool in Google Maps. Nice cache!
Found it and a travel bug ! yay my first bug and luck i am travelling next weekend so the bug can travel with me.

After many attempts at calculating the coordinates, had a friend help and narrowed down the area. Checked another park in the vicinity first with no luck then next park and found. Could not retrieve cache as too many active bees. Kids happy that they have found their first 'tricky' cache!

Returned and bees a little less active, retrieved cache and signed the log book now complete!

Vector:
a) an insect or other organism that transmits a pathogenic fungus, virus, bacterium, etc.
b) any agent that acts as a carrier or transporter, as a virus or plasmid that conveys a genetically engineered DNA segment into a host cell.
c) a puzzle that was a long time in solving and even longer in finding.
A nice park, shame about the noisy neighbours over the fence.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache Team Astro.

Oh no, maths! However, Hawk took one look at it, said it was easy and within minutes had a solution which Owl turned into a set of coordinates. Her first cannonball took out a yellow Prius, the next a green Golf. She was having fun taking out her least favourite cars (a Mazda 3 was next), but other cachers finally persuaded her she was overshooting and she reluctantly decided to stop decimating cars and find a cache. Once on the correct side of the road, it was fairly straightforward and the coords weren’t too badly off. Owl left a sheep TB that was spooked by the repeated cannonfire and much preferred the rather pleasant park. A definite favourite puzzle, despite the original cache stubbornness.
Hmmm, couldn't access the cache from my previous cache, and mmmm, my calculation must be out slightly as GZ had me being run over by big trucks.
Checked my map function and found I needed to take a drive to get to the other side.
Hmmm, drive down or walk - I decided to walk, although once down realised I could've driven and my knees would've thanked me for it.
7m off GZ and no cache - time to expand the search further. Headed up to the top corner (I knew it wouldn't be that far out, but decided to go for a look anyway). Nothing - but a nice secluded spot as I was busting
Headed back down and decided to check a good caching spot, and bingo a nice big cache was there waiting for me.
Added my name (and avoided the bees) before checking the GPSr - mmm 18m out. Perhaps I didn't allow from some air resistance. Replaced and covered before walking all the way back up to the car. A lovely little area that I never knew about, so thanks for bringing me here.

Clare007 and I met up for a day out to do something unusual ....... geocache
By day's end I had locus cache'd 33 smileys and had 3 DNFs
All in all, a fun day out and some cool caches were found
Loved reading all the older logs on this.. climbed the fence etc etc etc
After a Shank's Pony attempt, we chose the diesel fuelled option and this actually put us at GZ.
Dodged the bees and made a quick find on a slightly cool morning.

As Locus Cache & I were in the area, we swung past a reserve you normally wouldn't see unless you were looking for it.
Locus spied the tyre tracks & steered Harry towards one of many trees.
We dismissed the first place and continued to search.
We soon conplated that it must be at the first place & warily retrieved the cache.
Lovely spot, thanks Team Astro.

Finally had a cool day having read some logs reguarding bees near GZ, the bees are still there but being a cool morning they were not very active making a easy retrieval now we know whats on the other side TFTC
Aight, I got to GZ using a protractor on my computer monitor and what I remembered from high school Maths, so I knew I had no exact coords to lead me to the cache. I figured I'd brute force the location by looking around typical cache areas. Turns out I ha walked right past it's hiding spot and I was looking in an area about 100m away. Ah well, close enough. Thanks to Astro for his kind help and freddo whom I mistakenly thought was his cache
I solved this one a while ago and found myself in the middle of a road. After some hints from a previous finder, I tried the other method, and put the final waypoint away for later.
Four years later, we (how things have changed in that time!) found ourselves in the vicinity of GZ while chasing a moveable cement mixer. Remembering something about bees, I made my way towards the final coordinates for an easy find.

Gotcha!
Car getting more work done nearby so I'm off for a stroll to get some caches in an area of town I rarely visit. This one was a priority for me because it marks my 400th cache! I love a good puzzle cache, especially those with a mathematical bent to them. This one fit the bill perfectly!
I thought I would be "smart" and approach from the wrong side and jump the fence like someone else. But then I was really on the wrong side! After a quick phone a friend to confirm that I was at least in the right suburb, back over the fence I go and then the cache was quickly in hand. If I'd taken more notice of the attributes, I would have found it much quicker!
Over the fence for a third time now, to continue my caching journey.
Thanks Astro!
ZZzz..
Found It!
I was on the wrong side of the wall. Strangely enough its actually quite easy to climb over. I wonder what the cyclists thought to when they saw me coming over...

Timed it on a cold winter lunchtime in case the bees were still there. They sure were! But the cold slowed them down enough to give up the cache. Great puzzle - thanks TeamAstro!!
Special find for me as its the very first Mystery cache I have been able to actually work out !!! I also couldnt believe that those bees were STILL there, after 7 years, that is amazing....Favourite point from me for both those reasons...TFTC.
I realy enjoyed this cache and it worked realy well. I walked straght up to GZ and threre it was. Very well thought out cache.
The internet was my friend. I did not work it out from high school maths or even my time in the Army Reserve. (I was in the Artillery.)
I left a die and calling card.

Found with e.gregory1 today. Great puzzle. Found in the first place we looked. TFTC
Loaded the calculator, fired the trigger and landed on the road, narrowly missing a passing car! However, I figured that I couldn't be too far out and, with a couple of bounces, it would probably end up in a likely looking area close by. Visited the area to survey the damage today and lo and behold, there it was in the first place I looked and, according to the GPSr, only 25 metres or so from my calculated coordinates! I was very pleased. Left TB. Thanks TeamAstro for the maths revision.
Yr 12 Physics was coming back to haunt me. Mr Nusseau, heeeeeelp! No reply, it was up to me now.
I loaded the cannon, stood ready. "Fire in the hole!" Bugger, I overshot my mark and hit a neat little Toyota Yaris coming down the road. Reloaded, "Fire in the hole"; but this time I used a slightly heavier cannonball. BINGO! Landed right on the cache. Damage minimal.
Beware, evidence of the Z man is near. The bees are gathering in the same tree. TFTC Astro

Remembered this cache as I was doing my physics revision and decided to use it as such. Now thats more my kind of physics revision! Didn't prove to be too hard and employed google earth to do the projections. With the likely spot entered into the GPS we headed out and the cache was in the first place we looked. Nice to fend such a large cache for once.

I liked year 12 physics and don't know why i haven't looked at this one before, but i calculated the distance with confirmation from my friend and brother that it made sense. Quite a powerful canon. Had tried to manually draw out the location of the cache - giving a potential, but general location before further examining the google earth images and re-measuring the distance bewteen the coordiantes. Went for a bit of a walk this afternoon and found the cache in the first place i looked, helped by 40-50 bees around gz! [^] my coordiantes were 12m from gz which i thought was a reasonable effort
Well,.. if you don't count web-based research of the problem (my physics was rusty), and using a calculator, and waypoint projection tools and a GPSr, then I did find it all on my own, without help.
On a Wednesday morning there was no-one around to disrupt my search. The neighbours were all in bed or out at work, so it was just me and the bees, and it was a bit cold for them, so very quiet indeed.
Left a shackle off a trailer I found on the road on the way in, but took nothing.
Thanks for the revision lesson.

This was a bit of a jetskiing excercise for us. The calculations put us in the middle of a rather large road with parks on either side. You never know how accurate these calculations are though. Last night we happened to be parked next to one of the possible locations, but a quick phone call confirmed this was not the one.
Having unfinished business (and another couple of caches we were keen to find) we set course again this time in the company of Seascout78.
Finding a place to park was the first big challenge, but once in the park we still had no idea where exactly to look. The Astro-stars were alligned though and after a little looking around my eye fell on a very plausible location (guarded by a couple of lazy bees) and our jetskiing excersise had a successful finish.
Thanks for the cache and the thrill of the chase Astro!

Found it with *Cache or check* clan, but I was the bee-keeper (keeping them away from the kids - someone had to do it), while the puzzle master also became the 'Lord of the Bees'. Thanks for the adventure.
Great little park with no one it on a Sunday. Not really a fan of all the bees, but at least I knew I was at the right spot. Fun cache, doing the calcs brought me back to Uni Physics 1...thanks for the memories and the cache.
Finally got around to getting this one of my to do list.
Solved it a couple of months back, and have driven past it nearly every workday. Found the bees, then found the cache very close by. Bees not a problem, I just watched them for a while to work out their flight path, and walked around so I wouldn't cross their air space.
Put in a call to herdd to check I was in the right area, because my calculations put it smack bang in the middle of the road as well.
Maybe there's more grunt in the old canon than you thought!
A nice park that I didn't know existed. (I say that a lot since I started caching )

Hey TFTC this was find 150 for Team Chillibutts!!!
I enjoyed the physics of it and it made me ponder... how far would this have shot back in its day. I was amazed at the range ... but would it normally leave at 200 m/s ... hmmm, more research required. We saw the bees, but they stayed away from us and with a bit of planning we had a nice walk in.
Thanks TeamAstro. SL and took a car, left a elephant finger puppet.

sin cos tan aaargh! Who thought I'd need this again! ... where is that sceintific calculator (last used in 1987)??
My calcs also showed on the road, but logs provided a good guide. Not a single bee to be seen, but plenty of bottles scattered near GZ showed this could be a high muggle area at times.

Found the cache after phoning a friend who confirmed my suspicion that it wasn't on the road. I like many others found the cache surrounded by bees (didn't actually retrieve and sign as getting stung by two wasps yesterday was enough). I think a slight adjustment to the firing azimuth could see the cache in a much safer place away from the busy bees and yet quite close. Nice puzzle which I enjoyed solving. TFTC

It has seemed that every visit to SA this year has either been in pouring rain or stinking heat so it was amazing to be greeted by such a benign afternoon after my long drive from Melbourne today.
Perfect for some caching and this projection cache my first in town.
I must have made a small error which could have had considerable consequences such as not finding the cache but once corrected I made my way through the grass to the bee tree. Just a few bees but small ants all over the cache.
No stingings of either variety and a nice cache to kick start the afternoon.
Thanks team Astro.

I had actually worked out this one with the help of a web program at least two years ago but for some reason not gotten round to it on a previous visit.
Today in the presence of Acts2YouthGroup it was on the list for our last day and it was he who made the find.

This was cache # 6 of 45 for the day, in the company of Alansee on our five day long weekend Adelaide caching Bonanza. Another cache from the solved pile now found, the hardest part was parking and crossing the road and of course a certain wall that was between us and the cache. My thanks to TeamAstro for the cache.
Initially, Mr O started out doing this one the old-fashioned way. When the wrong answer came out, it was time for the "big guns" (that is, a software solution). On to GZ - was that beehive there when the cache was placed? If so, that's pretty nasty! Beautiful area, though. We were surprised to see it was still active after all this time. Luckily, nobody was stung during the caching of this cache. TFTC Astro.
Hey, I know that gun! A very clever puzzle, going by the date on it this would have to be one of the first with this sort of set up? It took a little while finding a way into GZ but I eventually found a neat little park that I would have had no idea existed were it not for caching.
Many thanks for the clever puzzle and beautiful location,

Brand new cache in place (the original Ocky Buckets are starting to fail though Saturn (2002) is going fine, most other lids crack) [^] New log book in the cache as the original was full. Boy, that makes good reading - some classic logs in there. This will be placed in the TB Log Book Library which will house old log books from everywhere. If you have one, please snap lock it and add it to the TB. The TB will be released at the June Event here in SA.
Clear skies from TeamAstro.
Needed a quick cache as number 665 so I could do Damien's Cache as 666.
Have had this one waiting for a while so today was the day.
Only trouble was finding way in but eventually sorted that and spotted location while walking in.
Remembered about the bees but because of the drizzle they weren't around.
Another Astro cache with the original log book which I spent a bit of time reading. Then the one stray bee appeared and chased me across the park. Sprinted back to GZ and replaced the cache and then sprinted for the car.
When I was getting back in the car I realised that I still had a travel bug in my pocket that I wanted to put in this cache.
The cache lid is broken but the contents are dry. The log book is full, if I'd had another I would have replaced it for you.

Find 572 My Way without a GPS at 11.50am
Just had to find this one to commemorate ANZAC Day.
Had fun estimating the angle and was originally 90° out.
But was pointed in the right direction by previous finders who both left me playing on the roadway.
Back to the drawing board and came up with a feasible GZ and allowed a quick easy find in the rain today.
Tomorrow is now free for marching and reunion with old comrades and the chance to find GC6E50 Bang, Bang
Took nothing
Left a Koala

Got lucky as none of the bees were to upset with me moving their home around as grabbing the cache. Many thanks
Goblindust very, very slowly retrieved and replaced the cache so as to not disturb the bees too much. Thanks!
Well- I think this is one of the longest standing solved puzzles just waiting for someone to go find it . The bee thing always put me off, but with olympics on, shooting on my mind, a cold and wet day (good for keeping the bees sleepy I hear) and heading towards evening there was never going to be a better time, so off I went and there it was. Great park. Pity it is so damn hard to get to. no swaps, just a great big smile. Thanks Astro.
[Found 1:02am.
I got three male friends to separately calculate the distance for me, and they all came up with essentially the same answer. I then put them in a conversation together and they spent the next hour debating physics and maths principles. Never putting them together again!! Anyway, I projected the waypoint and I came up only about 3m from GZ. Will thank them tomorrow.
I rode there (to GZ) and boy did it take it out of me! Anyway, reading other logs was useful - ]especially reading about the fence, i was like 'pshht, how big could it be?'.... [I found it pretty quickly, nicely nestled away ]and whats more, not a bee in sight![ Well, it was certainly worth it

not sure about the maths on this, so i thought i'd try the other method.
we arrived at the landing site and retrieved the gps, however i'm not sure if i used too much powder or there was a slight cross wind, but could not see a cache or a bee.
after a quick chat to a man in the know i continued searching further afield and bagged the find. my coords were 42 meters out. not far, but far enough.
fantastic idea for a cache,
thanks team Astro.
