Gates were locked so we got some good exercise walking up to this one.
Container is rooted as has been mentioned before.
A member of the Australian Disc Throwing team was up there practicing, and boy was he good at it.
Nice little romp.
Many thanks.

A nice park, no muggles as it was raining. Log book full and cache damaged. TNLN Thanks

03-Nov-08
I used to run around this circle half a dozen times. Nice to come back and apreciate the views. Two muggles playing Frisbee Golf. I've never seen that before! Nothing in the cache except the log book so I left a soft, rubbery, orange World Vision ball I found. Cache a bit worse for wear.

18-Oct-08
Found with Jameswat. fairly easy find, but cache was rather damaged

Found by Roma and Max.
What a strange game is played here.
It would have been interesting to see some players in action!
We made our find and left our mark in the log.
Container does need some tender loving care!
Thanks Team Tweeti for this experience.
Romax.

23-Sep-08
Will perform maintenance on this cache soon. Please be patient.

08-Jul-08
Had to walk up the hill as we got here well after the park closed!
Cache looks like it's been found by muggles as it was out in the open and only log book and pen was left.
Replaced cache and left chicken.

08-Jul-08
Disappointed to find this one muggled, but at least only the the treasure was gone and not the whole thing.

Another nice night view.

TFTC

Been here with katjadeutsch.

Nice view. the box is really scratched and the logbook gets humid. thanks for the picnic area.

14-Apr-08
Forgot to mention that the lid of the cache has a crack in it and some water was inside. No damage done to contents, which were in bags, but a new container may be needed before winter sets in.

13-Apr-08
A sport with a difference here - it would certainly get you fit climbing around here - TNLN Thanks for the hunt, Team Tweeti.

13-Apr-08
We have one of the other few disc golf courses near us in Canberra - fortunately it is nowhere near as hilly as this one! Decided to waymark it while I was here. While I was taking photos, urch1949 already had the cache in hand.
TNLN TFTC.

24-Mar-08

09-Nov-07
Really good views from up here. Cache was found easily and then I realised that I had no frisbee so had to go! thanks Team Tweetie.

13-Oct-07
Relitively easy find for the Geokids first find.
Best BBQ spot around, didn't know it existed.
T;Finger puppet and Brisbane Nemo
L; Scratchie and postcard

Have also secured our first Geocoin which will be left at our next Tassie location ASAP.

28-Sep-07
What an impressive park. The Frisby or Disk golf looked so cool. We were really tempted to give it a go with our freeby Navy frisbees we got the other day. But the wind was blowing hard today and was freezing. We left a geocoin behind that we bought with us from Queensland. We left a torch and a flashing necklace as the geokids grabbed out an awesome pink decoration and another historical figurine. The lid is cracked on the cache so contents slightly wet. Thanks for showing us such a great park.

28-Sep-07
Dropping off the coin we left here today.

22-Sep-07
can't claim the find on this one as tomato head found it before me. I was very surprised to see this beautiful clean park with such good facilities as I used to live not far from here and never knew it was here until now. Thanks Team Tweeti for letting us know about it. Took turtle Left golf ball

22-Jul-07
The closing gate was the least of your worries, this is the weekly scene of wild teenage parties!

21-Jul-07
Didn't take long to find. It was dark so we Gspblu and I couldn't see the view. Thanks Team Tweeti for the cache. TNLN

21-Jul-07
First one in the dark tonight with rebulus. Easily found and thought we better get out quicckly as it was just past 7:00 pm when I think the gates may get closed. TNLN Thanks Team Tweeti

28-Jun-07
Suprisingly easy find - or at least it was once I stopped looking for a trickier hidey-hole! Big Grin

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but what does the name of this cache mean?

16-Jun-07
our twentieth find for the day. after starting at 6am, we reached this cache just on sunset (at this time of year thats about 4.45pm!) this is a great area and the youth members of the team got so excited about the sport enjoyed here, we retrieved our flying disc from the car and had a little go before darkness descended upon us. TFTC - a great end to our day.

09-Jun-07
Found 0932 with Brian the Explorer. We are both from QLD staying in Launceston for the Jun long weekend this was our first in the Horbart area which we came to check out for the day. Easy cache to find.

27-May-07
Have had the coordinates for this one in my gps for ages, tried once before but too many people around. Figured on a monday morning I'd be safe. Found easily TNLN and couldn't sign the log because couldn't get the pen(s) to work. Now I know why people put a pencil as well with the log book.

24-May-07
Easy find on the way back up North after a marathon 4 day training course! Would have loved to have a go at the frisbee golf - maybe next time. TNLNSL thanks . . .

13-May-07
Found 200705131601 Smile. Kristy's sheep may be cunning but they'll have to try harder to trick this rhino Razz. Walked straight up the hill to an easy find and took a few minutes to admire the view on the way back to the RhinoMobile

TNLN

Cheers orac7000

12-Apr-07
Quick early morning find, no none around bar me and a council truck. I haven't seen this game, however I have seen the "soccer" version before. Thanks for the cache and view. ZZ7

11-Apr-07
This one popped up just as we needed a break and driver change. Our collies would have luvvvved this spot.
Took card holder and left an Easter Bunny and carabiner. Tnx for a great spot to refuel the adults and for Geogirl to play.

30-Mar-07
This is a top spot with great views to boot. This is what caching is all about bringing us to these beaut little spots that we would not have otherwise known about.

24-Mar-07
Thirtieth of thirty-one finds on a very enjoyable day in Hobart, after parting company with Snuva's female slave. The gate to the park was closed, so I had a 250m walk to the cache. It was all uphill! [B)] Fortunately, the cache was an easy find at 2140. The walk back to the car wasn't much easier than the walk in. Thanks to Team Tweeti for the cache. Cheers, dak.

What a nice spot. It was so nice, we decided to have lunch here. Took plastic rock and travel bug, left stamps and something else, I think. Thanks.

10-Jan-06
Discovered that we had the coordinates for this one in the gps, but had lost the info sheet - so were very pleased to discover that it was not a multi!!! Arrived after closing, so it was a bit of a slog up the hill, but at least not very long! Took disc golf left by someone who found the cache accidentally (more info on disc golf at www.pdga.com - may be a good diversionary tactic for cachers in the field!), left frog on lilypad. Great location that we had not visited before. Thanks Team Tweeti.

03-Dec-05
Nice cache. Location offered us our first glimpes of the Hobart area. Was raining lightly so muggle activity was pretty low.

13-Oct-05
After meeting you on monday, I thought I'd better check out your cache!
I use to have a flat not far from here and visited a few times - it was nice to come back. Didn't recall ever seeing any sheep, but the log book explained the name!
Took Glue Stick, left Turtle.
Note: It looks like someone has knocked a hole in the side of the cache container, although everything is currently bagged and dry.

Thanks Team Tweetie

First day of daylight saving. We arrived there quite early in the morning. We found the cache very quickly. After filling up the log book we couldn't hide straight away because muggles arrived and start playing Disc golf. They were very friendly towards us and they explained rules of the game which was new to us. We've enjoyed the view of the Derwent river. Took Dehydrated hovercraft left poncho. Thank you Team Tweeti.

01-Oct-05
Found this one back in August with aloysius, but as my log mentioned I couldn't sign it because of council GeoMuggles. So we dropped in for another look only to find some GeoMuggles playing Frisbee Golf - whats with that? Waited til they disappeared onto the 7th (whatever they call it), and grabbed the cache, signed the log and replaced the cache just in time before they came back over the hill from the 8th (whatver it's called).

TNLN - lovely area.

Note to owner - container is cracked in numerous places due to where it is hidden, might need a bit of maintenance, or a new container. Would have had a go at fixing it myself but I was under pressure from flying bits of plastic - weirdos Razz

29-Sep-05
Snuck out of work to find this one. Nice views from here and I would have liked to have spent more time admiring them, but...
Took pink frog and left mini gluestick. SL.

21-Sep-05
[Arrived after gates shut and can state with confidence that "It's a long way to the top....."
Forgot about spider report and didn't see one] but did feel as though rebuilding the Great Wall!
[Did not know this place existed, great views-of some other caches too! Thanks Team Tweeti
Took bouncy ball, left cat toy (geocaching dogs getting it too good at the moment.)]

18-Sep-05
Great cache name, an interesting place. I happened to move a rock where the cache WASN'T (as sometimes occurs), and there was a really big black spider there with a huge body - I have little spider knowledge but this one looked evil. Just a little note to take care in that sort of circumstance.
Late birthday wishes Twistitweeti!!! 6 is coming up soon enough!
Took G clamp, left "eat candy" matchbook magnet, SL.
Thanks Team Tweeti.

16-Sep-05
Hey what a great park. Will have to revisit this one with a barbeque. T fluffy chick L large bouncy ball. Cheers Quilter

19-Aug-05
I had half an hour to spare before starting work on my day trip south, so decided to have a little hunt for this one.

I imagine this area would be very popular for muggles - the views are simply awesome! But as it turned out, I felt like I was the only soul in existence and was able to complete the hunt, uninterrupted.

Thanks Team Tweeti for a great hide.

11-Aug-05
Cache find #2 today at 12noon,

Very easy cache, cache find #50 for GIN51E very quick easy find surprised this one hasn't been taken by young muggles being so easy to find in an area where many children would play.

Took Glow Stick
Left G-Clap

02-Aug-05
Called in here today, we were nearby, so we thought we'd have a quick look. Didn't read the cache notes about it closing at 4:00pm, we got there at 3:52pm - the guy that was locking the gate got there at 3:55pm Sad

The cache whore in me made me dash for the area of the cache (I could actually see it in it's hidey hole!), but the sensible cacher in me (actually it was aloysius) told me to hold back in case the guy was watching (he was) Sad After heaving a heap of computer parts around this afternoon we weren't in the mood for climbing up the hill from outside the locked gate - so we (or at least I) will be back - nice spot, thanks for bringing us here, even if we couldn't sign the log - at least your cache will live to see another day Smile

02-Aug-05
its amazing watching the cache whore in action...its like a whole other person is in controll of horus when there is a smiley to be had Smile We got to ground zero being watched by the council worker, spotted the cache but couldnt retrieve it cause of audience....loved the spot...will be back...massive thanks to the whole of team tweety for thier generosity today and the good cache Smile

24-May-05
Not really that hard when it was sitting in the open. Rehid where I thought that it should be. There has been some clearing work in the area. Just as the rain started coming down and I must get to the airport to catch a plane. I also caught a cold on this trip.

Left: Masai beaded cufflet (it was either here or River Rest) and honey bee.
Took: Valve caps/keyring (thought it was the mystery item)

Thanks for directing us to this lovely spot.

PS: No sheep.

Happy Birthday, twistitweeti!

Barrier? What barrier? At 2-something feet tall Snuva didn't see any barriers! Surprised

What a great spot to relax, overlook the beauty of the area, and listen to the world going by; I've never been here before - always just zipped by on the main road to the west on my way past for northern trips. Smile As I was opening the cache container I was thinking 'STILL don't know what the name refers to' - but now of course I do. Snuva had a strong feeling she had seen this cache somewhere before. . .TNLNSL - and of course FTF. Thank you Team Tweeti!
