Staying in Naseby for the 2024 Australian Curling Championships and was taken to this spot by my fellow Mixed 4s teammates who have been coming here for years as part of our team initiation. It was such a beautiful view.
Found with graceygirl1234 while staying in Naseby for Australian Curling National Championships. TFTC
A biiiiig day out on the motorbike took us from Alexandra to Roxburgh over to Lammerburn. After this we ventured to Waipiata and stopped at Hamiltons graveyard on the way. What a view to be buried at! Great cache thanks
Have been here a couple of times but have never done this cache not sure why. This time it was why we have come this way. Easy find . Great plot with a view.
Drove out to Hamilton to find this one today, as a bit of spare time & been wanting to get here for a long time. Lovely old cemetery & well maintained TFTC
A southern adventure for a wee family Easter school holiday trip. After a few days in Dunedin we were now in Naseby for a couple days. Spent a lot of time in Naseby and Ranfurly growing up. A break in the rain with a wee shred of sunshine so we headed out for a drive and wander in the patchy sunlight whilst it lasted....Decided to have a looksee at Waipiata. Can't bypass a good historical cemetery so came up here. Pretty sure my grandad spent time at the nearby sanitorium when he was recovering from TB in his younger years. Last cache of the day and a rainbow chased us back to Naseby....and more rain...
Out and about exploring Ranfurly area with BCD. Fun road getting to this one. Grader was ahead so half the road was freshly done all be it still a bit bumpy in places! Got through the Ford then up we go. Soon arrived at GZ...just as the grader was heading back down. Quick find and enjoyed the view before on our way again and heading to Waipiata for lunch at the Tavern TFTC
First caching road trip of 2023 with KJR, staying in ranfurly for a couple of nights exploring the back roads and beyond
Wouldnt be a caching trip without a cemetery..great views ..dropped off a tb..

Caches like this are one of the reasons I like geocaching. They take you to some great places. A favorite point awarded. Thanks
Found some of our Great, Great, and great, great, great relatives were here, so went to visit. Kia ora for the cache.
Drove up here after visiting the nearby En Hakkore Christian Retreat, where we were treated to some amazing hospitality by the owners and then shown through the art gallery there. I had no idea all those buildings were there - quite astonishing really. Then up to this cemetery, where many of the headstones have been restored. Lovely views from up here. So grateful that geocaching has brought us to these places we would otherwise not have known about. Soon found the cache with Flamingo4850, just has described in the hint. SL and then headed on up the road to the diggings and pond. TFTC.
Found while biking a loop from Kokonga via Waipiata and Daisybank with Mrs KC and the daywalks. Took a bit of a diversion from the main loop to grab this cache but also to enjoy the amazing views and the peacefulness.
Easy find, given the explicit hint

A nice quick find thanks. A glorious spot with great views over the Maniatoto. Fav Point from me.
Ms_KR and I decided to have an extended Show Weekend break, and today we headed for Queenstown. A lovely day and plenty of little distractions was had by all!

Fancy not knowing about this area when we lived in Central! Glad it's not winter. Tftc

A beautiful day and stunning views but the wind was bitterly cold. Easy fine. Log dry but not in bag, so tucked it away in bag in the hope it lasts the winter in good condition.
A cracker winter day in the Maniototo - we've been meaning to do this one for a while now and honestly, should have done it sooner. What! A! View! The cache itself is in great nick despite all the rain and was a quick find - we'll be back to do some more exploring once summer hits. Thanks for bringing us up here - wow!
Thanks out for a driving lesson with son. Good to drive on quieter roads.
Had been here before I was geocatching.

Found it after looking in the complete wrong place for 10 mins. I need to read instructions better. So windy
Stopped here on a day's caching in the area north of Alexandra. Came up past the Christian Retreat complex, I'm amazed at the size of that. A short walk from the road to the cemetery and the cache was a quick find. Certainly great views here! Signed log, TFTC
Visited the cemetery and we were back in the van when we remembered there is a cache here. So out we jumped again for a quick find.

I'm down in Otago to cycle the Otago Rail Trail over a relaxed 5 day period and took the opportunity to find a few geocaches along the way. I took an early morning drive from my accommodation, on the suggestion of the host, to have a quick look at this cemetery. No views on a foggy morning, but I quickly found this cache while I was there. TFTC!
Out for a day trip over the Old Dunstan road. Despite the season being Summer, today is misty, cold, windy and at times quite wet. About perfect for geocaching because we don't get the guilt's about what else we should be doing. Thanks for the cache.
Indeed a stunning view for those resting here.

On a long weekend visit from Blenheim to my mother, thought we'd do a bit of caching while we were here. Managed to navigate over to this one and WOW...what a view! Nice easy find but we made sure to stand and admire the GORGEOUS view and have a chat with the calves. What a beautiful part of the country this is!
Found with FluffyUnicorn02 and The Rudderpost. TFTC!

Love the beautiful peaceful spots we find while out caching. This one is no exception. TFTC
Splendid place for a cache. Didn't find it a couple of years ago but no problems today.
Just a quick check while in the area - all good! I'm pleased this cache is still bringing cachers to this unique spot.
Really hard to imagine such a bustling town in the nearby paddock - all very quiet today.
Thankls for bringing me here and TFTC.

An appropriate place to finish my geocaching tour today, on Remembrance Day. Quickly found the cache and read some of the interesting notes inside, then despite the rain, I decided to explore the cemetery and pay my respects. A fascinating place in such a remote area that I never would have visited if not to look for a little plastic box with a notebook in it. A geocaching highlight that gets a favorite point from me. Thanks for the cache and the experience.
Really liked the location but was unable to locate the cache. I see it has been located since my visit so I was obviously not up to the task. Really appreciated being sent here though.
A good find on a good day's caching as I slowly work my way down to Dunedin for the MEGA. Awesome views!
Many thanks for the hide.
Many thanks for the hide.
Our first time to this area and certainly one with much history. It was interesting to read the list of people buried at this cemetery and particulary sad to see so many young children and babies. Times were much tougher 100 years ago. TFTC
After an overnight -10 degree C, a hoar frost enhanced this magnificent view. Well worth a visit and an easy cache to boot !
What a beautiful spot, wonderful views. Cemetery looking a little overgrown but still well cared for. Pity we didn't have time to go for a wander around.

Now, this is the type of cache we enjoy. Hidden history, we enjoyed reading. Awesome view too. Magic spot thank you. Worth the drive.
what a great spot, definitely nice place for a rest, long-term or short - thanks for bringing us here!
Would have been a great view but for the fog. What alot of work been done here. TFTC
Amazing views. Well done to all the hard worker that must of spent hours restoring all the old plots.
Took a bit of finding about to give up then went for one last look and there it was, you've just gotta be on the correct side of the fence.
Took a while but found in the end - had a couple of muggles around who decided to stop and have a cup of tea. As they pretty much ignored us we kept on looking.
Found 21/2/10.Hard to believe what it was like in the 1860's.Spent so long at the sanctuary that no time to look further here.Panoramic viewa though.and now I know where Hamiltons is.TFTC
Didn't have the clue with me but luckily found in 3rd place I looked. Was helped by local farmer who has wondering what I was doing. TFTC
Great views quiet spot. Cache recovered quickly without disturbing the residents. TFTC
Not many cachers venturing to here but it's a great spot. Another old cemetery. They are in all sorts of odd places. Took the TB "Sterling Heights, USoA". Great views. Off over the old Dunstan trail to Middlemarch now after one more cache at Sowburn.
Awesome views steeped in history with added bonus of driving past the places of interest. Thanks
