The time has come to move on and try geocaching in a new place. Sadly this means we cannot support this cache anymore and reluctantly close it and have removed the cache.

Only had a quick look on a cold evening. Found lots of empty bottles but no cache. Too cold to keep looking long!
Visited this place several times before, but it is popular with overnight camper vans and munching muggles. Fortunately no one about today. That grass is ferocious though! Thanks for the cache.

Told Mrs Wonder to mind the dog turds. Never seen so many, finally uncovered the cache. Interesting spot.

We were staying at the motel by the golf course, so it was not far to come. The GPS insisted that the cache was where we had parked the car, so had to use the hint, and found the cache after about 10 minutes.

Well this cachje brought back some funny memories Chelle and I decided to come up here a few years back, but had no definate plans as to where in Malborough we were going to stay. We ended up in Nelson at a similar time of year to this visit, finding somewhere to stay was a struggle but we finally managed to secure the "Honeymoon suite" at the nearby park [^] Only the Hooneymoon suite wasn't like we expected, it was a white painted concrete block room with some very dated tacky curtains draped around the walls in an otherwise 70's budget motel room!!! And that was about it We still laugh about it. But anyway back to the cache, I arrived at the tide was coming in and boy can that water move! It almost looked like a river flowing past! The cache itself was found after a few minutes of searching. Thanks for the cache and bringing back some great memories
Ah well, always pays to leave one to come back to - or two, or three.... cool day but quiet so hunted for quite some painful time to no avail. The area is quite well treked through it would appear. A challenge!
Area was secluded today so a good time to go and find this cache. Found a bag of goodies on the ground and suspected the worst, but no, cache was safe and sound. Another cacher must be missing the goodies though TNLN Cheers!
Had a good hunt for this one a couple of months ago with no luck. This time it was so easy I almost stood on it!!!
Nice to cross this one off at last. Very prickly grass.
Wet and foggy day.

Fourth time lucky - arrived with leather gardening gloves & a bad attitude. Result: Found in 18 seconds! Can't believe I missed it the first three times.

The place was covered by quite a lot of litter. Otherwise a nice spot. Thanks for the cache.
Now, at the risk of sounding sour - I didn't have the benefit of a GPS, so I made it hard on myself. Be that as it may, my nearly four-year-old found so much broken glass, and we had our (summer) legs, feet and arms pretty much pricked, scratched and cut open by the grasses, we bailed after 20 minutes. I think it warrants a note that the broken glass is something to watch out for with the little ones, and that you might want to have closed footwear and long trousers unless you like the feel of 'a death by a thousand cuts'
Will not be beaten by this cache - but will return with GPS and appropriate footwear and trousers!

Nice, quiet place to visit and watch the birds. Enjoyed this one! Left behind a little Digital Fishy (4444).
#3 cache of "Mother's Day Outing". Were just about to give up looking when "Mother" stood on it!

I finally found this after searching a couple of times previously. The dead fish clue helped - standing on the cache helped more.... +Sobad Teeth -Spider
Found OK, but a heap of dead fish 1 m from cache. Had to wait till muggles swigging whiskey departed.
Easy find cords spot on.Would be an interesting place to be come the 1st week end in may with duck shooting Mai-Mais so close but i guess they will want it "Wet & wild" too.

We found it on our second visit, no muggles this time, had a bit of trouble with the GPS under the trees, but all turned out OK after taking a compass bearing of the tree.

Found it on the third attempt, too many muggles parked right there the other times. Nice spot. On our way to the event cache now.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Great location for a cache but not so pleasant searching as there is quite a lot of toliet paper around GZ. TNLNSL. Thanks
Our first fail for the New Year.
There was a muggle family parked nearby, but we still gave it a good search, but with no luck.

Had to wait for other people to leave the spot before we could start looking. Our daughter found it resonably fast.
Bit tricky! But the description is actually very accurate you just have to take some time. Once found it seems suprisingly easy and you wonder that none of the mentioned teenies have found it.
Nice scenic spot. Haven't been to this way before so area was nice to found. Great for a picnic at some stage. Nice easy find.

Found on a sunny winters morning. Had Dallas the dog and friend with me. Took a bit of searching but got there. TNLN
We finally got around to hunting this cache, I stopped by last week but there was a campervan at the cache site. We looked at placing a cache here ourselves about a year ago but the container we had was too big.

Came here several weeks ago and found a camper van within 5 metres of the cache.
Returned on the way home from work at dusk. Had to ring home to get the clue.

Mike's first geocache - bugs were biting hard. Not much birdlife to be seen though! TNLN, Jane
Last cache for the afternoon and we had to give up. The wind was up and we couldn't find cache in first 15 minutes. Will be back.
Hunted high and low with the SoBads but to no avail. Mr SB reckons he'll be back but I don't like his odds without me there, ha!
Quite a bit of rubbish around, particularly in and around the hinted feature, which we cleaned up. Those bushes are also pretty prickly. TNLN.
A lovely area! I'd mostly golfed around here previously. It took a wee while to find the cache as it wasn't under the obvious features, and the hint was a bit non-descript. No exchange made. Cheers Gav [464]
Another neat cache! FTF. Often wondered why there were no caches in this area. Now we know. Everyone was saving it for maple.hill. Thanks!
