I remember passing by this one and signing the log and seeing so many names in there. Wow! It's a shame it went missing, it was a iconic cache in a great location. I'm sorry to see it archived.
Dropped by this morning, and without saying too much, had a unique opportunity to confirm that it's definitely gone.
has to be gone, had a look and like 5 others couldn't find it. the rece3nt find was most likely not the actual container and if it was, it is not back in the correct spot now. needs a little tlc
No luck for us on this one today. Checked a number of "obvious" places near GZ, but nada. Wonder if the cache is still there. Will try again next time we're in Melbourne and if we see it is being found again.
Sadly, no luck for us despite checking the more obvious (and not so obvious) spots for the cache.
We had a good look around with richlink but unfortunately we could not find this one - I bet Daks was having a good laugh at our antics. We will try again at another time. Thanks to the rebel alliance.
I was in Melbourne on business and decided to do a spot of geocaching in the morning. Unfortunately the GZ had a number of muggles hanging out so I decided to give this one a miss. However I didn't want this one to beat me, so I decided to return later on that evening. The good news was that the place was deserted and the find was quick and easy. The only down side was that the log book(s) were full. TFTC.
Easy find this morning. I was there yesterday at sunset, but the place was full or school girls and boys, cars and it was not possible to approach the cache despite I knew where it would be. And it is were it was indeed.
The log is a mess of paper, needs maintenance.
Thank you for the cache.

Was taking a walk with Mrs Yeetrees along the Yarra River walkway and collecting a few caches along the way, arriving at this cache I knew that this cache was going to be a real hard one to find especially at this time of the day when there is heaps of muggles walking along the walkway. After taking a few seconds to see what was happening and working out where GZ was as the GPS tried taking me to some strange places I decided it was time to use some caching intuition. There really could only be one spot that could hide the cache and as there was a break in the muggles I managed to place my backpack next to GZ and a bit of shoelace proved the point and a quick feel came up trumps, handed it to Mrs Yeetrees and she signed it while I fiddled around a bit more before replacing the cache and we were soon on our way. What a clever spot for a cache, definitely muggle central and timing is most essential on this cache, thanks for placing the cache here and for bringing us to this spot, and the very interesting cache page write up, TFTC TNLNSL (4192)
A quick find on a lovely stroll along the river. Many many log books in here! Thanks The Rebel Alliance
Nice place w/ nice outlook. Not sure if my GCname is recognizable from the numerous log paper bits in there.
Found it, after a muggle tapped me on the shoulder and said "youre not looking for one of those GPS things are you", "its over there".
He was a nice bloke who obviously works at the boat sheds and says he has a lot of geocachers milling about. Some actually damaging the GZ which is worrying. This one does not require any distruction!

Found it on the 29th of February, thanks. I've already been here and spent some hours by sitting in the grass to watch the rowers and read a book but today with caching

Nice easy find. Exactly where we thought it would be when arriving at GZ. I could not believe that there was nobody really around for a Sunday. Had to wait about 5 minutes for a clear opportunity to grab the cache without being noticed. TNLN. SL.

Visiting from the UK with my brother, we have 1 day in Melbourne ahead of a flight to Tasmania. Found on our walkabout, with a little help from one of the rowers. Thanks for the hide
After showing my companion for the day where to get a nice vegetarian lunch I brought her up to speed on geocaching (by enlightening her as to what other treasure could be found in Degraves St) with my intention on finding this one as our first one for the day. After making our way to GZ I stumbled around the trailers, even banging my head on one leaving a nasty little bump for the rest of the day. In the end it was simpler than I thought and signed and logged it easily.
Found this one without looking like I wanted to steal a boat. Then my iPhone logged it under the next cache along the river by accident. Luckily I found that one too.

Quick find, but only after resorting to the clue. Had exhausted a couple of places and there were a few muggles about, so we thought we best be quick. Lovely parklands nearby.

Out caching with Rebekahc. Sat for a while to wait for the muggles to disperse. Camera phone was handy for seeing places I couldn't. What a lot of logs! TFTC.
This was a difficult cache to find without looking too suspicious to the muggles. The iPhone camera came in handy
The eastern CBD night trip brought me to this nice cache. Lovely place especially in the day when (my) relaxing meets (others) sports. Many thanks from Berlin.
Too many muggles around today to allow close up search.
Thanks anyway The Red Alliance for bringing an interstate visitor to this very pretty area.

Quick find with the family on the way back to the car, on a great, sunny Melbourne day. TNLN. SL. TFTC.
Found it after a short moment of evaluating the scenery, without attracting too much attention from muggels.
Thanks for hiding!

Visiting Melbourne for a quick shopping trip before Christmas with Wing6Rider. Luckily there is always time to stop for a few caches along the way.
A nice spot to stop during a river wander. Nice and quiet too today so, made the find nice and easy! Thanks....
Finally had a chance to have a look today and found easily. I've stopped in here a bunch of times but it seems that whenever I'm coming past, the rowers are out for a practice. No rowers at lunchtime today and muggles easily avoided. TNLNSL. Thanks Rebel Alliance for keeping this cache going.
Have never seen so many lycra clad students with people on bikes yelling at them in all my life. Magic day for a stroll along the Yarra. Thanks for the cache The Rebel Alliance.
I was attending a conference not far from here, and I actually had to return back to the spot several times before I found it free of rowers. Finally, around 10pm, it all worked out. I didn't have to add a new piece of paper; there was space on one that were already there. But the cache is STUFFED!
We were in Australia on a one-month holiday. After a stopover in Hong Kong, we started our trip in Cairns. We went scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef and got our SSI Open Water Diver certification. Our next stop was Port Douglas, from where we visited the Daintree Rainforest and went Jungle Surfing. After this we travelled to the Red Centre, and visited Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon and Alice Springs. From there we went south to Adelaide and visited the Barossa Valley and Kangaroo Island. Next destination: Melbourne. We made a road trip along the Great Ocean Road to get there.
Today we strolled around the CBD and enjoyed the arcades and the Christmas decorations. Of course we also did some geocaching. This is one of the caches we found. TFTC!

Now this one was a tricky one. Lots of muggles slows down the search, the obvious places returned nothing and no other clever hides could be seen. In the end it had to be there. TFTC
When we got to Melbourne the hotel room was not ready, so we went walking with the GPS. I had a string of bad luck and hubby found 3 in a row.

Nice quick find on an opportune afternoon of caching in the city, the rain was hlding off at this stage. TFTC
11.50 pm first cache for the day and just in time too. Rowdy cruisers disembarking from Booze Crooze (Buise Cruise?) across the river. Otherwise the city looks quiet. Never been up close to the boat sheds before. All very jolly hockeysticks. Thanks for the pleasant experience.
Sorry but you can barely get the logs and associated bits of paper back into the cache. Also hard to find the available space to write in.
Thanks Beejay22 for your help with this one it helps to have 3 crash test dummies to run interferance.
First Challenge is to find the cache, the bigger Challenge is to find a free space in the logbook to log the visit
Thanks, elNino

Tried to be unobservred but racing was on so had to leave it for next visit to Melbourne from NZ
Been meaning to try this one for ages, but only just got around to it. Easy find, but the cache is stuffed full of logs, so it might need changing. SL, TFTC
On a nice trip through Australia we found this nice cache and logged it. TFTC! Greetings from Germany.
Came here with brother. He said he checked the location of the cache but after 5 mins of looking i double-checked and there it was. Nice cache in a beautiful area. My 99th cache is a good one. Thanks The Rebel Alliance for the great cache.
Man, do I love Melbourne! This is a fantastic area and while here, crew teams were racing. Beautiful! As I made the return of the cache, a cyclist buzzed by and said "Geocaching, Yeah!!". Brilliant and thanks, mate! TFTC. SL.
I grabbed it in the dark so nobody was arround . TFTC and many greetings from Germany
I have been trying to this cache since last year and every time I have managed to get Melbourne for work there has been a million people standing around looking at me!!!
But this morning when I visited there was no one there at all!!! NO ONE….. I didn’t have my GPS or pen so I had to use the force……………… yep found it real quick and the container is a nice size. I was hoping that there would be a pencil or pen inside, but no joy. So I have not signed the but claiming the find I will be back next time to sign the log if there is no one around. ?

This can be such a busy place. Thankfully there are not too many people around on Sunday afternoons, and what a nice place to sit down and enjoy a little snack. Certainly no shortage of paper in the container.

Nice, straight-forward find on a mild evening in the city. The container has "grown" and seems to contain every old log it has ever had. There was a swan with a bib nearby - just wondering if they all wear number plates here or if they take part in the competitions on the river??

nr 51 in australia. lots of people went out rowing or fishing, while I almost searched my head of. so happy to have found it.
Called by today and put in a temporary log which will hold it for a while.
Unfortunately I forgot about it until I was headed home, and so the log is only a strip of paper but it will do for a month or so.
I've never seen a cache so crammed full old logs.
It began life as 35mm film container. It's now a much larger container but still full of logs.

Our last cache in Melbourne before the end of our short holiday, and what a great cache it was. On a warm and sunny Sunday afternoon it was fantatstic just to sit on the banks of the Yarra and enjoy the experience. Lots of people and things to watch, with wonderful views in all directions. Yes, we fell in love with the place!
The cache was easy to find but required a bit of subtelty with so many people around the place.
